  • Depression in older adults should not be considered normal, but it is common.
    Because there are levels of mental illnesses, I don’t want to dig into something I’m not professionally equipped to discuss, but I do know there are some things we can do as age to care for our mental health. They include.
    Regular exercise
    Healthy meals and hydration
    Proper sleep and relaxation
    Spiritual practice of gratitude
    Focus of things that make you happy
    Surround yourself with healthy relationships
    Join groups or adult social centers to interact peers
