I read that besides money for counseling, Sheri and her husband had a GoFundMe account of $50,000 that they were awarded from concerned citizens, which they used to pay off their credit cards. Despicable.
I don’t think the money was motive. People just happened to donate to help when she was kidnapped. Purely attention seeking. But really, it makes no sense why she did it and how she expected to get away with it forever.
😳OMG??? Noooo. I was so naive to this story. I was always thinking she was kidnapped for $ex trafficking. Albeit she was older…I was thinking her captors were desperate. I’ve been duped!
Plenty of stay at home moms send their children to daycare (maybe not always full time) in order to develop social skills. This chick was no super mom, though.
I actually went through something similar not too long ago. I convinced everyone that I was kidnapped and the whole being sold to a cop thing but I didn't get caught. People like Papini make me sick. Usually sone bored housewife who need a little adventure in their life so they make up some crazy story to play on people's sympathy. Pathetic.
This makes me so pissed. I remember being listening to the news when she disappeared and was so relieved when she returned. I knew people thought it was a hoax from the beginning but I was SO sure it was real. I mean who turns up branded, beaten, and with obvious weight loss and hasn’t had something horrible happen. I know it doesn’t really affect me but I feel betrayed! She took resources away from REAL victims and wasted everyone’s time, for what?!
I mean...she'd already hoaxed in the past. That's a pretty huge warning sign right there. Plus every other aspect didn't match with any previous cases; like everything was strange, from the motive (none) of the "kidnappers", the fact they were both women (extremely rare to unheard-of) they fact that they let her go, the lack of transparency etc etc. The police were very coy and seemed uninterested in catching the culprits and barely gave updates or asked much for the tips from the public. And I must say, people, including those who doubted her story, behaved with restraint, or at least the people in the forums I encountered. So there's that to be hopeful of, I guess.
Someone shows up branded to really show her story was real. The boyfriend said she was purposely trying to loose weight. Her adventure with the boyfriend was on the staging for her return as an escapee of a kidnapping. He used the boyfriend!
I usually agree with you Dr. Grande but not this time. Theft by deception is a crime that warrants jail time in my opinion. So many people have gone to jail for defrauding tax payers and or the government for a lot less money than she did. The money she received from the victim fund could have gone to actual victims. She deserves jail time IMO.
Yeah, it's really frustrating to hear that somebody should not suffer the consequences of their actions because they have a mental disorder and "need help." Almost all the people in jail now could qualify for this. I think the most effective remedy for her issues would be to suffer the consequences. Remember, she did all kinds of shit to her family and they let her off every time. Prison is supposed to be punishment. He says "the world is not safer" with her behind bars, but that would apply to all people who commit nonviolent crimes. She can get counseling in prison, as far as I am concerned.
I agree. She is a criminal, and has committed prior crimes. Since when is being a narcissist or having a mental illness a reason for a non custodial sentence? Prisons are full of people with problems.
Eventually people will stop being charitable to anyone, if these hoaxes continue. She should have to pay back everyone, including the hours of law enforcement. Maybe get her busy doing many hours of community service. That will take her mind off of her "troubles"

She planned the whole thing.. She knew exactly what she was doing. She also took money that was meant for real victims, after the fact. She should have to pay that back and pay for the cost of the entire investigation. This was a crime. Just like any other crime. She should have to serve some time in jail for it. It wasn't the first time she's committed a crime. Her personality disorder, if she has one, shouldn't be a reason to go easy on her. A fair trial, or a plea, whatever the courts decide, is fine.
The fact that she used the money for counseling is intriguing. I wonder what the therapist notes look like or if they became privy to what was happening. Could she have confessed to her crimes and it have been kept confidential? Or did she continue with her charade for attention? Could a judge demand that her new treatment facility see her old records? Hmmmm…..
Her going to jail wouldn't help society, it would just give her more ammo to pretend to be a victim. Her being forced to stay in a psych ward would rehabilitate her and greatly change her to become a better person. She's obviously mentally ill.
She told her boyfriend she 'missed her kids' and wanted to go back home. Yea, the kids she failed to pickup at daycare, the ones she didn't care about.
She would have spent most of the time "reconnecting" with her ex-boyfriend, that's why she told the police her abductors were 2 Hispanic women and that she wasn't sexually assaulted. This way there were no vaginal or anal swabs and no incriminating DNA. She's diabolical and needs to do some jail time, she wasted police time, resources and tax payer money.
I’m still a huge fan of “Just a reminder. I’m not diagnosing anyone in this video. Only speculating about what could be happening in a situation like this.”
I absolutely believed this whole hoax to bee a hoax when she miraculously appeared on Thanksgiving day. Never saw pictures of her supposed abuse. She needs to do some time and pay restitution.
There were pictures of the "wounds" she suffered while supposedly in captivity. Recently the ex-boyfriend admitted he performed the branding on her shoulder and also hit her in the legs with golf balls to produce bruising. Why that retard isn't also under indictment in this hoax is beyond me.

@@mariee.5912 white women loooove playing the fake damsel in distress. i bet she tried to sound like a 6 year old during the deposition with the police
I disagree. She should have prison time for fraud. All the people who donated to her and all the hours spent searching for her. Probation would show other people that want to commit similar crimes that they would have little to no consequence.
I think even though she is a non violent offender, prison would send the message to someone like Sherri that wasting polices time and resources in this way is not acceptable.
Starting malicious witch hunts after latinas, which at best is harassment and at worst imprisoning innocent women, is hardly non violent. Lying to other men that her husband 'was abusing her', is atrocious and could have ruined his life, had his kids taken away and cost him financially for years. Sherri is kind of a huge monster, and if she gets her just deserts over being found out for the ugly fraud that she is, it won't be still won't make up for the suffering she causes everyone around her.
I think she deserves prison time as well. I agree that prison shouldn’t be the go to punishment but she committed serious fraud and lied to the police. Some time is warranted.
She definitely needs to pay restitution back to the victims compensation fund. Someone also in the comments mentioned there was gofundme fraud. That should be paid back as well. I can't believe how great lengths some people go to be deceptive so that they can do anything they want and not get caught!! Thank you for the update Dr Grande, I had wondered what ever happened to this lady.
It’s complicated though because some of that money was used by her husband, who fully believed her, to search for her and to pay bills while he took time away from work. What a mess
Wow, GREAT catch Jerzygirl!! Also, INCREDIBLE INSIGHT by Dr. Grande here- shows what is already obvious- that he REALLY knows what he's talking about and is a true expert in behavior and VERY Good at Analyzing people! Thanks for pointing this out so I can go back and watch that video now, I'm sure several others will as well now that you pointed that out. 🙂
I honestly think she wanted to run away with her ex and make it look like a kidnapping. At some point, the guilt returned or the fling did not worked out so they made up that story for her to return to the family... disgusting
The Ex probably can fill in the picture of how she blamed her husband and kids, made it sound like she's a victim, when their renewed relationship began to fail again. I wouldn't be surprised if she had tried to enlist him into some plot against them, like she had intended to blame her condition on her husband. Branding maybe intended to be proof of an accusation that never came. Like "just help me frame my husband and we can be together."
That’s the only motive I can think of but how cruel. Especially the dad telling the kids “guess what? I found mom” Those kids are going to think at any moment they can lose a parent and their biological programming is completely destroyed. My heart is broken for them.
I think many people are not getting the big picture here. She has a severe periodic condition of Child Regression. All her odd behavior patterns indicates it's Child Regression. That's when a grown adult's mind transforms into the mind of a child when they are suddenly conflicted with real life situations. In her case, she turns into a 5 year old. The lies, the deception, the need for attention at any cost, the colorful stories, that's a 5 year old. You mentioned you think she wanted to run away with her ex. I highly doubt that. That was her just having her 5 year old moments. There's definitely a lot going here. And it all starts back to when she was born. Possible child abuse when she was a child. Also, her tossing two mexican women into her fake story angered a lot of people. I think that was just her quickly looking for scapegoats to add to her made up story, still racist, but unintentionally racist. She was just looking for scapegoats.
What a messed up case! Truly disgusting that she'd just take off from her two little children, and her husband, and then go to such twisted lengths to play a badly treated victim.... So incredibly well told with such valuable points! I don't know when (or if) you sleep Dr. Grande, but all your incredibly hard and thoughtful work is greaty appreciated and admired!! 💗 Hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday, you sure deserve it!

@@dguarino6586 why do people kill their spouses because they don’t want to ask for a divorce. Sometimes it’s to not have to deal with finances and custody. Sometimes they don’t want to be the “bad guy.” Distorted. Extreme drama. Her boyfriend admitted the truth.
The only thing about this that gave me a glimmer of thinking that she had really been kidnapped was this "branding" on her shoulder. Seems like that would be kind of overkill to sell the story. Turns out, according to the criminal complaint, she had her ex boyfriend use that woodburning tool to brand the word "Exodus" on her. I mean, WTH?
drugs - insane 'reasoning', rapid and extreme weightloss, thinking branding oneself is a good idea and convincing. This whole thing was just not worth it and not sure exactly how she was going to make more than $50,000 or so from it - not a lot of money for the amount of risk, just get a job
Doubt it, it isn't against the law to stage your own kidnap. And he did report it to the fbi, it just took them along time to investigate and if it was solid enough evidence to go off of
@@kellypantss He actually may have notified law enforcement a while back and they’ve been putting the case together for the past few years. When she “returned” it was pretty clear from the interviews to media that LE was withholding lots of info. They were pretty vague. They were thinking it was a hoax even back then.
This has turned into a real life "Gone Girl." When I first heard the story I was suspicious, but she had so many defenders, I kind of mentally shrugged and thought, "Oh well, they probably know details I'm unaware of." Turns out those who were skeptical were correct.
i feel so bad for her kids. i cant even imagine how much stress and trauma they've been put through over the years.. and now they have to see their mom being taken away in shackles. all this stress on the kids developing psyche and for what?? a couple months worth of attention that was mostly negative from day 1? it's just so unbelievably sad and pathetic
No she wanted to get away from her old life but got cold feet and had to make up an excuse so she would look like a victim and not some bad mom that went off and had an affair.
plus i’ve heard she became somewhat of a recluse after she came back… she may have continued talking to law enforcement, but she definitely stayed away from media and even neighbors, even when people still believed she’d actually been taken. so, really missed out on a lot of attention, if she was in fact seeking attention.
@@CasperInkyMagoo I don't think this can be boiled down to gender. I'm female, but I wouldn't do what she did. Are you a possible serial killer just because you have a gender in common with Ted Bundy? They made poor choices that don't have anything to do with their sex/gender.
@@CasperInkyMagoo Maybe it did, but then that's the cause, not her being female. Crime isn't gender-specific. Edit: just like how men are more likely to kill their partners, but that doesn't mean that women don't kill their partners too (like Jodi Arias).
This happened in my community. We were horrified and frightened that something like this could occur in our community. I-5 runs through the center of our county, and our thoughts were of human trafficking. So many gave their time to search for her. The law enforcement that Dedicated many man hours in all this took precious time and money away from other cases. The entire community wanted answers. As time went on things didn't add up and it was noticeable what was not being said by the sheriff, etc. People that knew her history began to speak up and become more vocal about what kind of person they believed her to be. My kids went to school with both her and her husband. The overwhelming majority believe her husband to be innocent and not complicit in any way. There were expenses incurred in searching for his wife, and those expenses were allowed to be covered by the funds provided. As a community, we are hurt and angry for what she did. However, most have compassion for what she has put her family through. She needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
I hope your community doesn't let her off too easy. Sherri perverted justice. Victims rights are a hard won fight and many people suffer without help. Sherri has a debt to society for what she did. I hope she serves as much time as possible and restitution.
I saw on Dateline that she & her husband used the GoFund Me funds to pay off his credit cards. If those r the funds u mean. That made me suspect the husband too
How about your sympathy for the Latino community?, the Mexican women were frowned upon whatever they go. With all due respect, her family lied to the media, that Sherri won't leave her children and Husband. she already staged a kidnapping years ago and inflicted injuries to herself. No sympathy for any her family members .My sympathy for her children and Latino community. I have some doubts about her husband Keith. it seems Redding community is very quite now the whole thing was a hoax.
With so much nonsense on UA-cam and other forms of social media, I'm glad there are content creators like you, who offer good insights and attempt to dispel fallacies. Thank you. Congratulations on gaining over one million subscribers, by the way!
Part of how she achieved it is because she “looked” the part and very sadly the pretty blond big blue eyed looks she has made so many think she embodied the wholesome mother persona she was selling.
When I first heard about the abduction I was very sad. But once I started reading the details, it stank to high heaven. I was mad that people actually believed her. If it really was a drug cartel that abducted her, she'd be dead and disappeared. If someone wanted to put her in a white slavery ring, and she wasn't working out, she'd be dead and disappeared. She tried to peddle this story that she was a plucky, brave, pretty girl who was gonna do whatever it took to get back home - she said all the right things, all the time. It was unbelievable. And, to top it all off, she was back home in time for the holidays so she could be a big hero. She's disgusting.
I mean, gabby peitio was pretty, blonde, and the 'perfect victim' for police to help. But they treated her like trash, called her the aggressor, called her crazy in their report, and look what happened to her...... I actually think being TOO pretty can sometimes work against you
The problem is that if she gets away with it in her mind, then she will only go on to create new scams that may very well create a real victim in the next bid for attention. How well does counseling work for those who have narcissism? Much less one forced into counseling?
She needs some jail time. She used up so many resources, lied to the police and committed fraud. I agree with you that she will think she won if she gets no time.
A dose of public Shaming works great for narcissistic. Perp Walk and the media shaming and following her constantly, it 's the best remedy for those who display narcissistic personality . She would have second thoughts if she dares to stage a kidnapping in the future.
Absolutely love your content Dr. Grande! I was super excited to see you do an update from your year old video of her. Keep up the great work, I hope to soon join your patreon!
Another dangerous aspect of this story is that she blamed her fake kidnapping on Hispanics. A point that people ignore when discussing this topic. Smdh.
Yes very sickening, and totally stupid to blame the fake kidnapping on Hispanic people. I wonder if her perception is that they all look alike so she doesn’t have to provide a detailed description? She should be prosecuted for, amongst the other charges, trying to incite racial hatred.
I live in the area from where she's from, and it's a pretty racist area, where this blonde, "princess, mean girl", would absolutely point to imaginary Hispanic women that did this to her. I was born and raised here, so yes..not surprised at all. It's always been a remote and isolated part of California. My guess, is that Sherri was bored with her life here, and wanted to venture South, so here we are.
I remember watching this case on Dateline & immediately felt like Sherri had planned her whole “abduction “. This episode primarily dealt with her husband defending her abduction story & how she would NEVER put her two young children or him through such a disturbing experience ,I genuinely felt like he believed her bizarre story all the while I was shaking my head thinking she was lying. I can’t believe the lengths she went through to sell her abduction story & for what some attention? I’m not sure I agree with her only having to go through counseling for this crime IF she is even convicted, that would be like a slap on the wrist. She received money from this hoax, lied to authorities , and if she wasn’t an attractive Caucasian woman she would certainly be vilified and probably receive the maximum jail sentence. I guess we shall see?
I agree, this was gross. I wonder if her husband knew but just because someone else would get an extreme unfair sentence shouldn’t mean someone else should as well. It means neither should.
I like her clever part-racism. She knew a 'Two black dudes kidnap pretty blonde woman' story would sound like an improbable cliché from a 1970s Dirty Harry movie, so mustered up a Latino white slavery ring instead.
@@enaquasanitas7017 if she cared about believability, she would of said two men. Also, there are many trafficking rings of people of many different colors and backgrounds in the U.S. Lastly, sherri has made racist posts about Mexican people online. She's just a racist lady who wants attention
You and I would like to think that it would have sounded like an improbably cliche, but we know that millions of racists would have instantly believed her.
@@MsCwebb I am very aware of the difference between race, nationality, and ethnicity. "l don't think you realize" that racism is a term that can include discrimination based on nationality and ethnicity. goof.
Oh I was hoping you would cover this! It is so sad because at the same time there was another missing woman in Northern California but all the focus was put on this false case
Hard to believe that Sherry’s husband had no idea that he was marrying crazy. I don’t feel bad for him, but her boys don’t deserve such a Poor excuse for a mother.
Like most who are first 'falling in love' they are blinded to any red flags. Probably mesmerized by her looks. Narcissists often charm their victims. Clearly her first husband got out after only 2 years so that says something.
It obviously wasn't for attention, she completely shied away from the Media once she returned, this was all about not telling the truth about an affair.
@@penskepc2374 The problem with lying is that you have to remember what you said, so less is better. the reason she avoided LE and her husband spoke on her behalf.

I just watched Dr. Grande's FIRST video on this around a year ago, it's incredible how spot on your instincts were on this case, it really shows how great you are at truly reading people and situations, I found it Amazing how right you were even with all the "seeming" evidence she actually had been kidnapped- your "What COULD HAVE HAPPENED" was like a play by play of how it really DID happen, it's just extremely impressive! You need to be "Detective Grande" as well as Dr. Grande! A lot more crimes/mysteries would be solved in a quick and correct fashion if you were! This was such a twisted thing to do on her part, but so amazing how eerily accurately you figured it out a long time ago, before the REAL story with proof came out. Just keep being you! ❤️
I hadn’t heard about the earlier years of running away and stealing from her family. If I had I would have easily believed it was a hoax. As it was I wasn’t sure one way or another. It seemed odd but I was open to it being real.
Thank you for this update Dr Grande; I was wondering about what happened to her. The only people I have sympathy for are her children. I had sympathy for her husband until I heard about him misusing the GoFund donations. I hope he wasn't in on the whole deception; his children need him. I also find it seriously disturbing that she tried to blame two Hispanic women for the kidnapping; therefore making people suspicious of Hispanic ladies in that area. She deserves jail time imo.
Another GREAT video from Dr. Grande- I love how you go a little into the background of the people involved and your insight is always SO good, I can barely watch other videos on subjects like this anymore beside yours bc you are so much more in depth, to the point, and extremely informative. For those of us so interested in human behavior and the way different people's minds work, I've never seen videos so good at laying things out and then with such great insight and opinions. This case is very disturbing! Just what she put her fam through and the fear in the community, etc. Your videos on Julius Jones and Kyle Rittenhouse both I saw recently also, and my mind was changed on both of them, or just so much more informed than I had heard anywhere else and I was grateful to finally be fully informed. Thank you for your incredible videos and sharing your intelligence and insight! I’ve never heard of this before (Victim Narcissism). I wish I could find more info on it. This is my mother to the T. And I was the target of her abuse. She could appear wonderful to others and made me out to be a terrible person since I was a child. Once I moved far away, she eventually had to find a new target, and she did. It’s wonderful to have a sort of explanation for it. Thank you. Another wonderful and interesting video, Dr. Grande.
@@phillipgalan660 The husband doesn't appear as if he's masterminded anything, ever. He's a follower, not a leader. Why would he be ok with her staying with her ex, though? She runs that relationship with her husband. She stayed with her husband and had second thoughts and tried to return in the most believable way possible (in her opinion). The money was a bonus. The ex is also complicit. I'm in the Midwest and I heard about this case when it happened. He certainly did, too. He let her stay there, knowing she was missing and all over the news, allowed her to hurt herself, branded herself in his presence. He's fortunate that she didn't somehow blame him for kidnapping her. If she had somehow gotten rid of the phones to prove it otherwise, she'd probably be believed. Shari is a proven liar. She also had defrauded her father in reference to the bank account.
I said back when this story broke in 2016 that she probably did this because she thought her partner didn't love her, wasn't paying enough attention to her. It was such a sketchy story from the get go.
I agree.. If she felt that way, they could have gone to marriage counseling. Not make up this terrible hoax. Her entire community was in fear because of her hoax.
The claim of the kidnappers playing mariachi music as they went about the kidnapping sounds so made up I can't help but laugh when the news reports mention it.
She didn't have to involved the Redding community in her affairs. I guess her lovers won't give enough attention. Perhaps the Michigan man figured out what he was dealing with, ditched her. Also it's be interesting if the Michigan man was married too.
You last comment really nailed it. People feel soo betrayed because they became unwitting accomplices. I'm sure there were some tense arguments between those who believed her and those who didn't when all this was going on.

Dr. Grande, please cover the Asha Degree disappearance if you have a chance. The mystery surrounding her bizarre vanishing leaves more questions than answers.

I heard about the update yesterday and I immediately thought "Dr Grande should do an update" lol thanks Dr Grande for the video! ❤️ I still think this is a crazy case.
Living in the same small community where this happened has been an eye opener. Most of the gossip initially was about how her husband was responsible for her disappearance and now is about her husband being a part of this plan of hers from the beginning and has benefited from the exposure by receiving money from a go fund me account where he purchased a new truck with the funds. Not sure if it’s her playing victim to everyone all of her life but she still is being portrayed as a victim of her husband’s aggressive behavior and it’s really overshadowed the truth. I’m definitely not playing doctor but I’m thinking she has a severe personality disorder and she has most everyone believing her lies and is in a constant state of denial. Maybe sitting in jail for awhile before she gets catered too for being a victim might be beneficial.

I've always felt this case was a scam because the details were too unbelievable. Like others, I didn't want to accuse her of lying just in case she was really abducted. I am glad we finally have some answers though. This was one crazy case and thankfully isn't such a mystery anymore. Thanks so much for covering this case.
from the moment she blamed 2 Bandana wearing Mexicanas , i knew this heifer was lying. we all know bandana wearing butch latinas are the most reviled women ( after all black women ) of course.
When I first heard about it, it smelled to high heaven. I never believed it. Even something about Sherri's photos made me think that there is something off with this girl.
I had wondered what the out come of this case ended up being, thank you for the update and interesting analysis. And many deserving congratulations to you on reaching a million subscribers!!
Playing the victim is more common than people realise, and the motives are usually to gain attention, sympathy, the children , the house and of course money.
It reminds me a bit of a case near where I live. A woman who was out on a jog in the forest preserve claimed a man ran out of the woods and stabbed her, and then ran away. The story seemed so off from the start like this one, just because of little details not adding up. It turned out in the end she made the whole thing up to get attention.
As usual, an excellent video, Dr Grande, thank you. William Lyttle, the Mole Man from London is a chap I'd love for you to analyse, as he was SO extreme!
I enjoyed your analysis. I live in the UK, and I followed this story, and I was convinced she had been kidnapped. I recall reading she was taken by 'traffickers' who had mistaken her for a teenage girl whilst she was out for a run, given she looked 'young for her age'. I was angry with people who said she 'made it up', but what would you know, she made it up.
I would love to know what her counselor saw as she told her stories of victimization and if s/he too was convinced or or if it was apparent they were treating a victim narcissist personality.
The therapist might have been told the truth but they are bound by confidentiality unless a person talks about harming someone in the present time. They cannot disclose past misdeeds unless they relate to a child or an adult currently being at risk of harm or if someone names a past sex abuser.
Just be glad that she didn’t try to frame a specific person. With her willingness to hurt herself she could have put someone else in jail. I could not see someone branding themselves.

And they called her supermom??
Plenty of stay at home moms send their children to daycare (maybe not always full time) in order to develop social skills. This chick was no super mom, though.
It seems to be a common thing nowadays

SEPT 2022 she was sentenced to 18 months in jail & a $300,000 fine.
It's so crazy. When I heard she was found I was so relieved then I didnt really see anything else. And now this ... all fake! Crazy crazy world.
I felt exactly the same.
Someone shows up branded to really show her story was real. The boyfriend said she was purposely trying to loose weight. Her adventure with the boyfriend was on the staging for her return as an escapee of a kidnapping. He used the boyfriend!
She should have to pay for the resources used to [find her].
I feel bad for her husband and children, but Sherri's past behavior with her parents was a big clue.
She's probably the black sheep of the family. She knew what she was doing.
Yeah, she chose getting her back blown out by Chad a few more times over her family.
That's about as BPD as one can get...at this point Dr. G could do an entire series on these hoaxes...
And her husband was so clearly heartbroken when she was missing. Then to find out it was all a lie :(

Based on an article I read the police are looking into husband and boy friend. Seems they may be involved.
Also how this affected the hispanic community in that area! Putting hispanic citizens at risk of reprisal or vigilante 'justice'
Yes I agree 👍🏻
You mean being accountable ? How hard for her 😁
Yeah, it's really frustrating to hear that somebody should not suffer the consequences of their actions because they have a mental disorder and "need help." Almost all the people in jail now could qualify for this.
And real victims have a difficult time already. Most don't ask for money or anything. She perverted justice and definitely has a debt to society.
she needs to go to prison at least for a short time 4M.

Hmmmm…..
Yep! People serve time for writing bad checks. Surely this warrants something more!
Right!
Her going to jail wouldn't help society, it would just give her more ammo to pretend to be a victim. Her being forced to stay in a psych ward would rehabilitate her and greatly change her to become a better person. She's obviously mentally ill.

My kids went to school with both her and her husband. The overwhelming majority believe her husband to be innocent and not complicit in any way. There were expenses incurred in searching for his wife, and those expenses were allowed to be covered by the funds provided. As a community, we are hurt and angry for what she did.
Like I said, they are the best on UA-cam if you want the most relative information, with the occasional wonderful sarcastic humor. Please never stop Dr. Grande! ❤️
You called it right Dr. Grande. The video analysis you did a while back on Sherri was spot on!!! Great work!!!
Grande.
I believe (Victim Narcissism) is a bit similar to Vulnerable Narcissism.
I thought that is covert narcissism
That was a great analysis. I’d love to hear an analysis on people like her husband.
He's the main orchestrator
@@phillipgalan660 The husband doesn't appear as if he's masterminded anything, ever. He's a follower, not a leader. Why would he be ok with her staying with her ex, though? I think he was a simp husband and really thought she was kidnapped or the two of them talked after the fact and she owned everything....stating that they could work it out if she came home but they'd have to come up with a story.
@@phillipgalan660 I highly doubt that
@@Thomas116-m2n we don't have all the facts yet. the husband could be involved.
I am looking forward too.
High school classmates said she was always looking for all the attention.
The claim of the kidnappers playing mariachi music as they went about the kidnapping sounds so made up I can't help but laugh when the news reports mention it.
@@seanpellegrino2989 ..ikr
She didn't have to involved the Redding community in her affairs. I guess her lovers won't give enough attention. Perhaps the Michigan man figured out what he was dealing with, ditched her. Also it's be interesting if the Michigan man was married too.
You last comment really nailed it. People feel soo betrayed because they became unwitting accomplices. I'm sure there were some tense arguments between those who believed her and those who didn't when all this was going on.
So glad you are back! You are the BEST! Praying for your changes❤
I know a person exactly like her but she hasn't pulled any stunts rising to a criminal level yet. She finds the most gullible guys to marry that buy her theatrics hook, line and sinker. 😓
For some reason, military guys in particular seem to be very prone to bypass all the red flags and are quick to wife up these trainwrecks
@@filipefigueiredo9847 At the lower ranks, there's a HUGE bump in pay and benefits if you get married, because you now have a dependent. If you're a single E-1 living in the barracks, a marriage certificate is literally a ticket out of the barracks and into an apartment, and your take-home pay effectively doubles, so guys especially overlook a lot of red flags.

People like her are everywhere. Enabled by decades of Simp culture.
@@dallasoch Or if they lay down right away.
Dr. Grande, please cover the Asha Degree disappearance if you have a chance. The mystery surrounding her bizarre vanishing leaves more questions than answers.
Yes!
That is one of the most baffling cases there is.
@@kevinc809 definitely. So sad
@@kevinc809 Sad but true. Hopefully one day we will learn what happened to the poor little girl.
Trace Evidence Podcast did a real good review of that case. True Crime Garage and John Lordan also. She may be alive.
Thank you Dr. Grande for being the most reliable person in my life.
I had discussions about this at the time with friends. We all said it sounds suspicious, but because of her injuries, we didn't want to come right out and say we did not' believe her story.
Prison is a punishment for bad behavior and if there's anyone who has behaved badly, it's Sherri Papini. Can't believe you would say otherwise, Dr. Grande.
Dr. Grande, you always explain things so well. I love your channel. It's fascinating.
When Dr grande said that a victim narcissist is full of shhh...shame, I definitely thought that was going in a different direction.
I feel sorry for the kids. Imagine how they will be bullied and taunted if they go back to school. Thanks Dr. Grande.
I have wondered about this since you first analyzed the initial case! You’re the best, Dr. G!
It’s worth it to watch Dr Grande - just to hear the sarcasm & wit he exudes!
Dr Grande although not diagnosing Ms Papini, I think you really nailed it. 🔨
Thank you! Been hoping for this update.
I heard about the update yesterday and I immediately thought "Dr Grande should do an update" lol thanks Dr Grande for the video! ❤️ I still think this is a crazy case.
Dr Grande is both competent and hilarious.
Love your content. 🙂
My first time watching you but I subscribed. I’ve watched this story on several shows and it never added up to me. Thanks for your analysis!
BPD
Where can I read what her husband did, I assumed he was just a victim?
Why aren't they making them pay the GoFund Me back? They should
I think Keith is not the angel he has been portrayed in TV.
@@freyalove3831 Not sure about Keith but that ex boyfriend is brain dead. Who agrees to shoot hockey pucks to injure and brand someone just because they want them to? That's not a friend.
Prisons are full of non violent, repeat offenders with personality disorders. Should they all get a pass, too? I'm sorry, Dr. Grande, but I had to disagree with you on just this one point. A custodial sentence seems to be warranted in this case.
I agree with the rest of your assessment, though! Thanks for the update. 👍☘
Very true.
She also cost society a lot of money with her phoney story. She should be held accountable for that.
A pass? No, a lot of them like drug addicts just shouldn't of been arrested in the first place.
@@penskepc2374 I agree. Nobody addicted to drugs should be in jail, if that's their only 'crime.'
Unfortunately, this country doesn't see fit to offer drug treatment programs to them that actually work. Inpatient or outpatient. Drug Court rarely works, either.
Are you an Indy fan? :)
Not a punitive center but rehabilitation center to learn coping skills, decide if she'd like to try medication and adjust to them, practice some life skills, final step is work release to start paying back some taxes.
Hello Dr. Grande! Thank you for always being so thoughtful in all of your videos. I feel that I can always turn to you for a concise and accurate point of view ❤️
Great video! Love your channel. Your dry sense of humor is awesome!
I've always felt this case was a scam because the details were too unbelievable. Like others, I didn't want to accuse her of lying just in case she was really abducted. I am glad we finally have some answers though. This was one crazy case and thankfully isn't such a mystery anymore. Thanks so much for covering this case.
THANK YOU !! Knew you would be on top of this 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼♥️🇨🇦
Such a weird case. I always knew their was something off about this case. I’m glad she was arrested.
from the moment she blamed 2 Bandana wearing Mexicanas , i knew this heifer was lying. we all know bandana wearing butch latinas are the most reviled women ( after all black women ) of course.
It was a bit confusing for some time. I really wondered how she was kidnapped and released
When I first heard about it, it smelled to high heaven. I never believed it. Even something about Sherri's photos made me think that there is something off with this girl.
I don't like her face.
You're awesome, Doc. Thanks for spending some time with us. You're the bomb diggity.
Dr.G does - concise, precise Facts with No drama (sometimes some cheeky humour 😉) - Then professional analysis. Perfect!
Critical insight. Well done Dr. Grande! Thank you.
I had wondered what the out come of this case ended up being, thank you for the update and interesting analysis. And many deserving congratulations to you on reaching a million subscribers!!
Playing the victim is more common than people realise, and the motives are usually to gain attention, sympathy, the children , the house and of course money.
I'm glad this was finally resolved. It was perplexing what had happened
The shrink was getting paid, so s/he had a disincentive to question Sherri's story. The money was good and steady.
I could not see someone branding themselves.
just be glad you were not a "hispanic woman" at the time
I'm hard of hearing so I pick who I fall asleep too carefully, I need someone with a clear voice and no background music and talks about stuff I'm interested in. Enter the Dr. I swear about 100 of your watchtime hours is from me putting your play list on and snoozing 😂
Me too!. Dr G’s voice is so soothing despite the subject matter. Of course, re-listen to the ones where I fall asleep.
