They are very expensive (about $30 each for 9 oz) but worth every penny to me. My hair looks perfect 99.9% of the time when I use that stuff

For some reason, the pink Maui Moisture stripped my hair way more than a sulfate shampoo :( I had straightened my hair a few days before I washed with that shampoo and brushed it every day....even with hair coming out over those days, I lost more hair when I washed with this shampoo than any other time, like half a handful :( I didn't have a problem with the orange-ish colored one for curly hair, though. My hair is a looser pattern than yours.
Very true do not use the pink Maui moisture made my hair fall out. I literally don't know what else to use. I've been using applecider vinegar and aloe vera as shampoo and my hair smells like sweaty feet😢😭

Get a decent shower cap, also make your own, if you have more (longer) hair. Slather Hellmann's Olive Oil mayonnaise from root to tip. Comb through. Cover overnight. Wash as usual, no need for extra conditioners, softness lasts for days, 3-4 washings remove it.
I use a small amount of the Maui moisturize hibiscus conditioner as leave in! 🤭 🙈lol also as soon as I get any bottle of their product I immediately turn it upside down. I agree with you their packaging is ridiculous. But starting upside down and leaving them that way does help
Love the Aveda Be Curly line! I tried the Shea Moisture coconut hibiscus products a few months ago, and I guess my hair didn't like the protein. Not really sure. I love the scent though!

I have 3a-3c, medium porosity, coarse hair and it loves to bounce between demanding moisture and demanding protein so having options is a big deal for me to always feel prepared to help it out.

Thank you! I would say they can be on the heavier side so some lines are made for more corse hair and can weigh our hair down. They have a chart on their website I believe that shows the best line for you hair type that’s super helpful!
I need to make an updated version of this list but for wavy hair I recommend something lightweight but still cleansing! A few I think would be great would be bouncecurl, Saltair, and ouidad!

@@an4082 if you are okay with sulfates, I use the Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo once a month.

try the app “think dirty” to check the ingredients of your products, i recently switched to the Native Cucumber and Mint conditioner and i love it!

All of them has glycerin. My hair is similar to yours and my hair hates glycerin, it dries my hair.

Sometimes the ingredients can be too heavy for your hair or it just takes a little while for your hair to get used to the new shampoo :/

I actually wouldn’t suggest using Tresemme. The ingredients arent great for your hair and can dry it out over time☹️

Protein treatments help your curl structure. Hang in there! Curl shock is real💔
You can also try a clarifying wash if you feel it might be weighed down😊

I don't recommend using protein hair products all the time because it can have protein overload and ruin your hair.
