Nice mate. Sounds nice, just like mine. Ive recently had mine carbon cleaned. It got to 94k and had never been done. Fuel economy has gone from 35mpg at 70 mph, to well into the 40's. I was getting 46 mpg at 75 mph. Hills obviously reduce that, but on flats and down hills its coming back with figures close to my gf's 62plate mini cooper s. Well worth the money if you not had it done yet.
Midland VW did it for me. It was £295 for the carbon clean. I had the thermostat replaced at the same time as its right there. I thought the 35mpg i was getting was decent, but its not. It will do 40's easily.
Good to know! That's not bad at all! Funny enough my Thermostat was gone when I bought it so I got it changed as part of the deal. I also got the cam follower and oil pickup pipe changed and a full service.
What symptoms did u have? Mines never been done my fuel consumption is really bad in my opinion… have a rough idle (changed the PCV) slightly hesitant to start some times
@@travisfs7526 I didnt have any symptoms, other than 35mpg. But I knew it was gonna be gunked up and it was. After it was done, it was smoother, more responsive, and way better on fuel. There is an STP PRO treatment you can buy that actually works. Only problem is, it doesn not seem to be available in the UK, its out of stock on amazon.
Great sounding exhaust! I’m thinking about doing this to my a4 and I wanted to know, when getting rid of the resonators does it give you any codes or problems with the car?
So this is just the middle resonator and both rear mufflers are still on? I am thinking about doing this on my 1.8t but don't want it to be ridiculously loud when doing long motorway journeys?
No problem, yeah naturally it’s got more displacement and is simply an evolution of the 1.8t. It should still sound good though ✌🏻 thanks for watching and dropping a comment, much appreciated 🙏🏼
@@JoshKemponcars already checked it, seems best! thanks for pointing out. this is my family car(kids included) so i wanted to ensure that will not gonna be a tractor on the road...

Thanks, mine is curently on 91k. Interesting to hear how it's affected economy though, where did you get it done and how much did it cost you?

What a great video dude
Cheers buddy, appreciate the kind words.

Thanks, no codes or faults from the resonator delete. Thanks for watching my content.
What size piping did you use ?
I think it was 2.25in from memory but don’t quote me on that! 🙈 it’s whatever the original exhaust size is
I am thinking of doing this mod, would you recommend it? How loud is it? Is there any drone and can you hear it in the cabin at around 100-120kmh? 🤔
I highly recommend it, no massively loud or real drone to be honest but sound lovely when on boost! 2nd gear is my favourite.
Does it pop
Occasionally it did, if you lost traction
@@JoshKemponcars great i spin a lot

Hi George, yeah just the central silencer (resonator) back boxes are still in place as well as the cat. I can report no drone on the motorway.
@@JoshKemponcars thanks mate, sounds brilliant for just the Res delete, although the 2.0 does have more grunt than the 1.8t anyway

Is that with a muffler delete?
No, just a resonator delete. The video uses an external mic which is probably why it sounds louder.
Hey mate
Do you have a Rec from inside the cabin?
Hi buddy, if you check out the resonator delete video it will give you insight into the cabin noise.

No worries, absolutely fine and doesn’t drone but has a lovely tone when you want it to. 😎👌🏻
