We are instilled by the fear of failure at a very young age by society. Grades, pressure from parents, teachers, communities. It was never your fault. YOU are not your accomplishments or your thoughts. Meditation taught me this and so much more! I believe that working on mental health helps IMMENSELY with physical and overall health. Lots of people start the weight loss journey so that they can love themselves. Befriending our thoughts and creating a loving inner world is just as important as sculpting and healing our physical bodies.

Really needed to hear/read those words. The one that stood out to me was “the race is long and in the end, it’s only with yourself”. I stop myself, I doubt myself and I’m always anxious. I’ve always been surrounded my amazing people, friends, family and colleagues that support and encourage me to do great things but I stop myself from doing them. Since I stated my health journey last year I’ve been more positive with myself but it’s still a long way to go.

I’m right at the beginning of my fitness journey (25 days in to be exact) and during this time I’ve seen a crazy change in me. Not so much in the physical side, but mentally. I look forward to work outs. Which doesn’t sound miraculous I know, but I was that girl who didn’t try in PE, actively looked for ways out of it and ways to get out of sports day. In these 25 short days of working out I can’t believe the change in my mood, at the end of a work out when I’m out of breathe, sweaty and almost dying, I’m desperate for more! It really lifts my spirit and mood, on rest days I’m itching to do a work out, I love the feeling of DOMS because I know I’ve been working. I’m someone who never thought I could be this way and I’m so excited to continue this journey and see myself become stronger and happier!

@Pine Trees thank you! Really great idea to start really small. I'm going to implement Mel Robin's 5 second rule too to get me to do things I know are good for me. Thank you for replying - it has helped me to think of of manageable changes to go in the right direction.

I have really been loving your videos this month. I felt a bit sad yesterday as I've been exercising a few times a week and eating healthy since New Year but I found out I haven't lost a single bit of weight. But the improvement in my fitness makes up for it, I have to remember my aim was to be healthy, not to lose weight!

Don't give up.... you usually gain weight on the scale before you lose it...particularly if you are building muscle. Then the weight starts dropping once some muscle is established. That's why a lot of people are told to take measurements instead of using the scale to see if what they are doing is working for them.

Well done on losing 30kg that is amazing!! I myself have lost weight about 20lbs myself and while nowhere near as much as you, it was quite a lot on my frame. It is tough, but for me oddly I was more so focused on using it as an outlet because I was going through a tough time. And now looking back, I’m glad I did it that way instead of focusing on the goal itself. Focusing on the stepping stones to the goal will really help. ✨ it was only when I started heavily focusing on the number that things got ugly 😞

'You are the writer of your life' - great, inspiring line.
Thank you for another awesome video, Lucy! Could I make a suggestion in terms of a possible theme for another update? 'What to do *after* you've hit your weight loss goal'; as in - how to maintain that weight, while also, for instance, trying to do the whole reverse dieting thing [especially if, say, you're trying to move on from a months-old, aggressive/unhealthy cut in your calorie intake]. Also, you once mentioned how, in some ways, you were happier before you lost so much weight - do you think you could expand on that? I find myself struggling with what I assume to be really similar feelings - I know the key is to look at it all as just another part of your lifestyle instead of a short-term thing, but it's getting more and more difficult and I'm tired of all the close monitoring and restrictions, as well as scared of regaining all the lost weight [studies seem to paint the bleakest of pictures] and ultimately having all this time and effort be completely wasted.
But anyway- thank you for your voice and your content and best wishes!

I've watched a tonne of health and fitness videos as I'm recently really trying to get into it and not a single one has mentioned that it's normal for ALL of us to find it difficult and have down days and just you saying that has already made me feel better!! We often don't see what's going on behind the scenes so thank you for keeping it so real 💗

Several things that just might help someone:
Always remember, ALL limits (and fear) are in your mind!!!
Also, if you feel not worthy, not good enough, etcetera, say this:
    "I am worthy!"
    "I am good enough!"
"I am ________ fill in the blank."
Do this every day, several times a day!!! ~much love~ kg. ❤

Thanks Lucy... this reminds me of martial arts training... they practice training small skills that are combined to become much more. Get each little thing correct and honed. It is wiring in the brain. It becomes subconscious autopilot. Smile, it gets easier once you have trained it. Feel Good, you can train yourself to FEEL GOOD TOO. The Mind is an amazing thing that can be trained to do whatever you choose. And is trained to do whatever you do. We are programmed to be as we are, unless we choose to retrain a new program. 95% autopilot means we are unaware of most of the things we do. To make a change it needs the REPTITION to become AUTOPILOT or else its all conscious effort and that is tiring. TRAIN is the GAIN of the Brain.
MOODS training is BIG KEY... train yourself to feel good and motivated as a NEW THINKING PROGRAM. Training is done by repetition with the right frame of mind fully present at least 30 times to 60 times to become autopilot write in the brain. FEELING is Energy Power, and can TRIGGERED as a GOOD MEMORY that will Activated to be FELT NOW, and give you POSITIVE MOTIVATION. Failing is an extreme word. Missing the Mark till you learn to get it right by practice and training is not failing. Giving up is failing. Train that BRAIN to FEEL GOOD. It's ALL Subconscious Programs. The RIGHT FEELING will succeed. The wrong one's will not. Beware of distractions. Focus fully in the present moment on the task at hand. Be in the NOW. There is ONLY the NOW. Training the MIND needs to be in the NOW. The Eternal Now is NOW, NOW, etc... It is the only place we can make changes and FOCUS ALL our Energy to be beneficial. Its the main reason behind meditations, is to train the New Feeling/State to Peace and Love. Love actually as a frequency feeling heals DNA telomeres! That's reverse ageing the lengths growing back!
There is much more, you are only on the tip of the iceberg. Be Astounded, for the Best is Yet to come. And there are many more BESTS to come, better than you have experienced so far. When things you considered impossible you learn to do every day! And the boundary line of impossible is moved beyond your current comprehension. Dare to FEEL IT in your imagination. FOR THIS IS A GREAT TRAINING TOOL. Feel the GOAL as if it is accomplished already and that FEELING is TRAINED to be called up. Once you start exercise endorphins make it feel good too. These the KEYS to unlocking the KINGDOM of Heaven within you, as it has been called. A New Mindset. An upgrade on the untrained old thinking patterns/programs. Untrained is trained to be untrained (habits). It needs training to be effective and efficient. Tweaking the thing trained to be in hindsight with wisdom. Its a YODA thing we all have.

The information in your videos is really good, and you are so easy to watch speak because you're so pretty with a great smile...BUT, I wish your videos contained more visual interest rather than standing in one place talking. I think it would help make the info more memorable if there were more cutaways and photos of the things you're talking about. Would love to see pics of you before!

I really needed this today! I've lost over 5 stones and am 2 stones away from my goal weight but I have days like today when I'm not feeling great, eat more 'junk' and somehow convince myself I've undone all my work - rationally I know it would actually be incredibly difficult to put on even a 1lb in a day (would have to have a 3500 calorie surplus for the day), but the irrational part of my mind tells me I've gained all the weight back 🙈 I'm really trying to work on this unhealthy mindset though!
