By not going all the way down, you'll simply weaken your tendons compared to the muscle which is one of the reasons behind torn biceps. Full Range or Motion is hugely beneficial and muscle grows the most at its most stretched position.
If you continuously avoid doing full range of motion then sooner or later you are making yourself prone to bicep tear due to your weak tendons.
