And when you're in a hurry, you can go straight to the cockpit. What an amazing concept, having both a slow and fast way to get in and go flight ready. ED are very, very confused.

How can you NOT want a Titan.
      - Bed
      - Cargo
      - S4 gun (looks silly)
      - Modular (will be able to swap interior with the Warlock and Stalker)
      - Can take a tiny vehicle

Look, I just love the space penguin because it feels like a ship that is one just for me, or for two people if they wish. The backstory of the ship makes it even more appealing because it's another thing that grounds it back to reality with our modern day.
The Avenger is truly a starter ship, but it's a *PREMIUM* one I'd say, the bed of the Aurora compared to the Avenger alone is soemthing I'd pay that difference for in universe. ...AND I get a Cargo bay on top of that? Holl Durn!

Came here randomly due to the quality I could smell about to ooze out of your video, and I was not wrong. I like everything about the Avengers except for the Cold War style cockpit and nearness of buttons to MFD functions, but during the IAE I rented a Stalker, and what not a lot of people know is that you can use a Titan or Stalker as a dropship which is faster than the other variants and can easily have 6 troops in the cells if you want to do it right, or a mob inside, ready to run out. Not many $55-70 ships are as multi role as the Avenger series. :D

I've just come across this video and found myself saying "Yep!" in response to just about every statement. _Really_ enjoyable video - thanks!
This video is an excellent compilation of all the ways the Titan "just works!". I'm eternally grateful for the advice received on forums a couple of years back when I was vacillating over "melting" the Mustang for the Avenger Titan - _Never looked back!_ Whilst I have a couple of bigger ships in SC now, I still often fly the Titan.
    - In fact, I've just had a few sessions in it to learn dogfighting, SC style on Illegal Monitors missions (I'm a fairly recent E:D "refugee" and I've hitherto avoided ship combat in SC. Have only recently started playing SC 'properly', though I've briefly "dabbled" here and there for years)

Nice video. I am an original backer who has played off and on every few patches. Patiently watching and losing myself in the game when i do play. Im not a money grinder. Over the years, ive upgraded my pledge little by little and ended up in a mercury star runner. Recently, i melted my package and picked up a freelancer and gladius exactly for the reason stated at the end. It feels so great to go around in a less complicated vessel and be able to play with what systems we have. For org’s or people who play with friends all the time, the multicrew gameplay is very rewarding and great fun, but if you play alone, get an Avenger, Freelancer or other similar sized ship and just take you time and enjoy the game for what it is (remember that progress will be reset from time to time)

the thing that gets me the most about this little ol' darling of a ship is the patterning on the actual outer hull layer. The fact that they put in that texture on there that screams "ablative reentry shielding" rather than putting on some sort of smooth gloss on the hull, just makes it all comfy. Like this is a ship that's meant to let you stretch your legs and walk for a while. Not something that is just meant to go from point A to point B in the quickest timescale possible. But it screams "exploration" more than even the ships that are purpose built for that.

I have a 315p, Avenger Titan, Mustang Delta, Hull B, and Cutlass Black. They were purchased in that order from Fall of 2014 through December of 2017. The Titan is my go to. It just works for everything. I don't have to worry about it not working. When something does a lot of things well we call it a Swiss Army Knife. I would say a better description of the Titan would a Leatherman because it does a little bit of everything, but better. Great video by the way. I'll be sure to check out a few more. Found this video from a link on reddit where someone was asking what to get as a starter ship.

I really like seeing your famous ED video format come to Star Citizen. Welcome! One note, however, from a Wing Commander and multi-year veteran - thinking someone is flying the avenger because they are not skilled to fly something better is a mistake I would avoid in pvp.

I'd love to have a version of the Avenger that puts proper dropseats in the back (the crio chambers of the Stalker are not really 'marines transports'). It'd be the only dropship confirmed to fit in an Idris

I'm curious about that Asp Explorer, I mean, the Nomad for a few dollars more though... Just saying, I figured you've had to save up quite a bit for all the ships you're going to review. 🙃

The Titan reminds me of the Starbridge from EV Nova first, then the Titan from Freelancer second.
But after watching Drew Wagar's video, I can see exactly why it's nicknamed the penguin.

This video is still relevant! I started with a Cutter back in November in 3.17. Now in 3.18 wipe, and learning more about the game, I am upgrading my Cutter to the Titan. The Penguin just does what I need it to do better than the Magic School Bus. Thanks for the vid.

Great video! I believe the perfect ship depends on the player. But a starter ship is just a starter ship for a reason. They're designed to get you in cheaply until you get something better. To quote EA (yuck, but it's actually true here), it gives "a sense of pride and accomplishment". I think the Mustang Alpha is crap, but the Aurora is a good starter ship. However, the Avenger Titan starts to give you the feeling of what the game is really like. Looks good, does cargo hauling, good in combat, and has a bed.
It's a Jack of all trades, but master of none. It does everything the Aurora does and more. And does it all better. So if earning it isn't going to give you a sense of 'pride and accomplishment', and +$25 isn't a deal breaker....then I say the Aurora is a great start that won't break the bank. It lets you try everything except ship mining (hand mining exists). But once you learn how to play the game, playing 1-3 hours a week even new players can earn this ship in a week (with in-game earned credits). Quicker if you use a rental. With my personal favorite profession: bounty hunting, I can earn an Avenger Titan in 2-3 hours.

The mustang series is nice to fly imo. Just needs the cargo bay to actually work.
      The omega is particularly nice.

My first purchase of the game was the Aegis Avenger package. That was when it was still just an Avenger and not the Avenger Stalker as it is now known. I rationalized the purchase price to be the equivalent of a standard video game plus season pass. ($85 at the time). I really wanted that ship to be modular and adaptable so I could make it a Titan whenever the need for cargo hauling arose, but sadly that time hasn't arrived yet. Instead, I added the Freelancer DUR to my fledgling fleet in order to satisfy my Star Trek'esque need for exploration, as well as some light hauling. Once again, I'm frustrated that both ship's primary mechanics haven't been implemented. (Bounty capture and exploration). Perhaps they will be one day....I hope.

I t's my only ship and I really like it. Bed to logout in, the cargohold, dual entries/exits. The look of it also, but not the shabby Soviet-like interior. I'm not as ecstatic about it as you, but it feels comfoirtatble and I do agree that it's great for not standing out and getting robbed. Like driving an older Opel(or maybe Honda in your case).

Excellent work ! I've only found your channel about 2 month ago. Glad to see you back. As a long time SC backer that was one of the best presentation i've seen, the only thing missing would be a 20-30 sec word about the lore of the ship (nothing fancy, just for exemple for this ship that it was originaly used by police, it was made available to every citizen to buy due to being old and replaced with newer competitors)
