That's my favourite ship...for everything 🤣 I go mining with it. No pirat survived after asking me about cargo.
My mining Cutter has no weapons. All hardpoints are equipped with mining tools. But it also has good armor and prismatic shields. Pirate gets uppity and I'll squish them against a rock.

My thoughts exactly! I only don't use it to long travels! Is VERY funny when someone ask for you cargo or they shoot, AI should have common sense! Only thing is that they should have made some better color for it, she deserves!

You're right, bounties should be bigger :-)
He was clean in this system until he attacked you (from the comms I'm guessing a bounty hunter), so all you got was the tiny 'assault' bounty. If he'd spawned as a wanted criminal in an Elite 'conda it'd be more like 200k+
But then you're flying a well engineered Corvette so you probably know this already :)

It looks like that Elite Ancondra has A7 shields 595units, with A6 shield banks. 70 DPS for 2X efficient beam lasers. Under 600m the shield should come down in about 7 seconds.
It would take around 100second to take down my prismatic shields of my cutter with 25% thermal resistance. And about 45second to take down the shield of my Ancondra.
His SCB's are certainly annoying. I wanted to see if I could get a continuously firing double Huge Efficient Beams going with the PD. Almost made it and think it's good enough. Not sure what I'll put on the rest of the HP's. MC's or beams. Dislike the MC's as they run out of ammo too fast.

@@MacrosBlack feedback cascade I believe for railguns damages scb and reduces their effectiveness.
A couple of well-placed feedback cascade torps will do it a LOT quicker than that 😉

I'd never noticed before that the c4 beams are actually 4 seperate lasers rapidly switching, like with the c3 ones. they literally just kept adding more c2 beams to each module
For me with the beam lasers, I have them fixed so they punch harder and without the disadvantage by the chaffs.
My aim is not good enough for fixed :-) I find that my TOS on smaller targets to be better with gimballed. Chaffs are annoying, usually I just wait them out or if I get impatient, re-target and the gimbals works like fixed.
Fixed long range isnt really needed most fights will play out within 2 km and above 3 km it becomes really hard to actually hit anything with beamlasers anyway even with microgimaballing i would say for laser weapons time on target counts way more then raw damage especially because they are hitscan weapons

I’m mainly PvE and went with 2 huge fixed beams on mine, with engineering for overcharged and thermal vent. The other five hard points have overcharged gimbaled multi-cannons, one with corrosive, the rest with incendiary. Enemy ships don’t last very long against this thing!
i recommend long range rails rails with feedback cascade. this would have made the video about a minute shorter. anyways, what i am scratching my head about is what effect you have on your power distributor? weapon focused and super capacitors?
Thnx for the suggestion, CMDR. I think the mod on the Power distributor was Charged enhanced and Super conduits.

the max weapons on one ship is 9 but with a friend you could see what 10 is like I guess
Unfortunately this doesn't work with the new engineering. Even a weapon-focused distributor will still discharge the capacitor with 4 pips.
according to coriolis.io, the capacitor will not discharge. Even with 3,5pips it will hold over 2 minutes.
@@Coolgamer400 ah, I may be misremembering. I think I was trying to make long range beams work, which is unfortunately impossible. The weapon-focused distro makes it work okay, but you still run out of charge pretty quickly (about 19 seconds)

@@mcarpen89 efficient beam lasers are more effective for pve ive played arounf with long range but bryond 1.5 k its hard to hit anything with gimballed beams anyway just get close and melt them with efficient beams grade 5 wil give you 25% extra damage and you really notice that once enemies start trying to pass you overhead

This is why my PvE python is has a class 2 MC with corrosive and the rest are efficient beams!
You only need one corrosive, they don't stack. Better change one of them to incendiary.
I dont have one yet BUT, I think I will always enjoy my medium/agile ships more. But who knows...crazy firepower tho.

I mean seriously, I'm at the point where I have a conda worth bout 800 mil with all best-in-slot stuff but 0 engineering on any of it and like 500mil in the bank. I want a Federal Corvette and I'm in the process of grinding fed rep. Once I get it, I don't have a goal besides maybe starting engineering..? But it looks so daunting.

It would be supremely annoying if AI always turned tail and ran at the first sign of trouble. Realistic, but annoying.

But what's interesting is I'd say atleast to my gameplay these AI's I get into a battle with flee if you straight hammer on them.. i go out in my Krait MK II and Im running 3 Large Rails and 2 med Pulse and most of the pirates last about 3 mins.. Then they high tail it out and then I see surge detected... Im just like you puss... Lolz..
My AFK Type-10 would have killed that in about 10 seconds.

I have 2 fixed huge beams...they do 47.7/s they tear throw Shields quick but over heat once one shield is left
Like barely a one...I kill PC quick just feel like the multicannons aren't enough dpg

Smaller ships get killed within seconds if fixed shot like they just drop

There isn't really any reason to go with any other distributor mods except for exploration ships.

frick dps, Turreted weapons are great, the only real downside to them is the lower damage and i will still have better dps than with fixed or gimballed hardpoints since i dont have to aim nearly as much and they always fire constantly
This. I just swapped my 3x Gimballed Beam Lasers on top of my Krait for 3x Turreted ones. All 6 are Efficient 5 with Thermal Vent.
I am melting the same targets in half the time with the turreted ones, simply because they keep firing while I'm turning around. As an added bonus, I can now focus all of my effort on landing shots with the pair of Short Range Plasma Slug Rails. My accuracy with those has gone up at least 30%. That alone would close the DPS gap.
Turreted beams also draw way, way less power from the distributor. The 6A distributor on my Krait never bottoms out even with just 3 pips now.
EDIT: That said, OP can't use them. There are no size 4 turrets. Point still stands though, just not particularly relevant to this exact video.

Come on! Efficient at 2km does barely any damage! next time, switch those out for some long range ones, or stay at 900 meters the entire fight.
No reason to get long range on this ship. Using efficient and just getting close is always the way to go. No excuse for bad flying.
just get fixed beams, the huge hardpoints have good convergence with each other (and also with the 2 smalls). together with g5dd drives you can keep on target easily.
the mediums and large can be gimballed as they have horrible convergence and do not really match up with any of the main hardpoints.
3 on 1? elite was misleading.
Efficient Gimbal beams are perhaps the easiest way to announce that you are a noob in elite dangerous.

This is like that IQ bell curve meme. Everyone right in the middle thinks fixed are always better, when it is true that gables in the hands of a skilled pilot always provide more time in target while allowing less damage taken, outpacing fixed weapons quickly.
im sorry but this is noob one :) why? 1st - use fixed weapon (better dps and lower capacitor drain), u can use 4 fixed beam on corvette (2huge+ 2small), which give u 52+52+13+13=130 dps (its only 4 weapons , without others 3+2x2 sizes. so well engineered corvette kill any shileds in a seconds (totally my corvette full laser 4fixed beam+3gimbal burst do 250dps to the shields). Killing elite conda is about 20 seconds, without targeting Power Plant :D THATS a damage. But not one u show in this video :)

was trying to find elite conda for u :) its not easy :) So i make just some kills. VS elite conda not much difference. They die almost same as dangerous one. Maybe some seconds later.
