Glad you found it helpful!
Thank you for making this simple.
Amazing explanation. Thanks
Simple and easy. Thank you
Nice video and thanks for keep it brief and to the point.
No problem 👍

THANK U SO MUCH FOR A SIMPLE WAY OF RECORDING...LOOKED AT THE ZOOM8 PLUS I HAVE A SMALL CAMCORDER BUT NOT TO SAVY..THIS MAKES AUDIO AND VDEO RECORDING CHEAP AND SIMPLE........................
Great job
Thanks for this video bro
Tomorrow i m gonna try with my Reloop elite i hope to work :)) Thanks for the video :)
I see some people having trouble with the sound/mic. Make sure you're using a TRRS cable (4 rings). Otherwise the audio will be run through the phones internal mic which may cause your sound problem. Hope it works!
I’m having this issue, can you please share a link of one cable that will work.
Thanks for the great info!
Glad it was helpful!
Great tip about the fisheye lens. I would never think of that. Thank you.
Happy to help!
Great video! Thanks much! What if I want to record on a friends I pod?
Great video!! Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to watch!
Great video. Excellent narration.
Thank you for not waffling on like most YT tutorials. Very refreshing!!!
Cheers.
Right on. Many YT want to sound sophisticated and make a fool of themselves making the video too complicated.
Thank you very much!
Just what I need to know.
I still wonder how the line output level from the mixer adapts to the iPhone mic input. I guess if you’ve done it successfully, it’s just fine.
Then I think the attached lens can be replaced with a greater distance, getting the phone farther away.
Thank you!!!
Great video.
Thanks for the kind words!
Simple understand information thank you bro , GOD keep blessing y’all❤️
Thank you for watching!
Really helped me thank you so much 😇😇
Happy to help!
Hi @PDot thank you so much for this video! Really great content! I have bought the cable (TRS to TRRS) but when I record the sound is totally clipped. Any idea on why this is happening? Thank you
Great video. I have a pioneer djm 500 mixer that is about 20 years old. I don't see a "session out"? What would i use in this case?
Thanks 💪💪💥
Great video! Do you know where I would plug in the RCAs on a pioneer XDJ-RX?
This video has helped me get started, I really appreciate it. I’ve been seriously struggling though. My Rane TTM56S headphone’s faintly bleeding into my iPhone’s camera/video function. Everything sounds great, but when I have the channel fader down you can hear the music from the headphones bleeding in lightly… I’ve strictly followed all of the directions, and am using the same wires from this video. I’m perplexed.
Very helpful thanks. When conecting the cable like that does it recognise that the audio is line level? Or do you need to swich the settings from mic level to line level?
Thank you
Mannnnnnnn i looked for o many videos and never this simple, thank you, I have a question, I dont have a record output, so I can used the regular booth output to my iPhone correct? I only have booth and aux as well as my xlrs outputs
Interesting…🤔
I’ve been looking for something like this, I’m going to try it
Nice video thanks
Thank you for watching!
Thanks
Is this works wit rane one? Good one💪🔥
I hit the 900th like my bro
Great idea!!!!
Hope this helped you with creating more content!
I’m working on it ASAP
Wow tnx.. i have those materials except for wide angle lens. I been thinking to buy a recorder lately then suddenly something trigger me to look up in google seeking easy but good solution for what i need.and then your channel pop up.so again tnx.tou save me about hundred bucks!like and sub!
Hey man i wanna if is it possible to record a one full mix without cutting the video into two videos
Awesome but would I need lots of space on my phone for a Dj mix ?
Thanks! Lining up an audio recording with a video is such a pain. I’m gonna get me TRRS.
Is it possible to use this method by using djay ios on ipad pro...Using a split cable and then go into the iphone?
the stock iphone video app doesnt have a volume meter so you dont know if youre clipping, any good free app for that?
How about for ddj sb2 to my samsung s7 is this set up can work?
It’s working for me, except there is a quite loud humming noise in the background. I’ve tried to turn down the output but it’s still there. Any idea what could be the problem?
The back of mine only says Master, should I plug it into that, would it work?
Is the sound def good with this method ? You can’t hear any clicks of buttons...just the music ?
it only records in mono. any tips on how to make it stereo?
I have tried but have sound problems! I’m using Dj sb3 pionner! Any tips or app ?
my mixer is the pioneer ddj-wego and it has a master left and right out. would this setup still work?
I have a mixar duo mk2 do you what outs I plug the rca into
Nice video mam
Does anyone has a buzz when the connect the trrs adaptation?
Im using the same accessories and still doesnt work. Facebook recording audio from microphone, any ideas why?
Works great except i get some clicking noise sometimes any tips?
How can u tell that the volume isnt distorting while recording?
Got everything except for the wide lens adapter didn't realize how much of a difference they make to the angle of the video thanks for the info. This helps a lot as my phone is the best camera I got better put this iPhone X with 4K 60fps to use!!! lol
I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made until I saw it with my own eyes!
Lil swann I used the same setup using rode with an iPhone 13 pro, but can’t get the audio output into the phone. Anything Im missing out on? TIA
@@piyushnigammusic Me too. I'm using Iphone 12. The only way that i found to get a clean line is to use my booth out from my dj controller and enter on my Focusrite audio soundcard. Then out of the soundcard to Trrs to the iphone.
how do u charge the phone while streaming?
The other issue the audio records in mono. Better to use a separate usb audio interface or controller that supports playback of the audio card.
Hi, thanks for the vid. I've a simple question to which I've received different answers. Is it safe to plug in the RCA cables while the mixer is turned on? It won't cause any damage right? Thank you!
would this work for android phones also. and my concern is sound quilty so let know plz thanks.
I have the dongle that allows RCA's to go directly into iPhone XR, but after several iPhone updates this dongle doesn't work anymore. Now when I record videos of my DJ sets it's a hit and miss. Sometimes I get sound and sometimes it's completely gone. Has there been an update to this issue that we can solve? I just want to get analog audio from my mixer into my iPhone while I'm recording my DJ sit on video instead of using the phones built in mic
I have an older djm-500 pioneer mixer, should i plug my cable to the booth or master outlet? When I have it plugged into the master outlet, I can still hear outside sounds like the clicking of the fader or if I talk or any sounds. Thanks.
What do I need to stream music from my phone or pc and hear it to my DJ speakers? I am using pioneer ddjsx controller and want to sound good coming out from speakers. Do I need to buy a DJ sound card?
I watched your video and bought the TRS to TRRS adapter. But i get a very low quality audio. I think i bought a crappy 8 inch to RCA adapter, could this be the issue ? Also, i am using a Samsung S8 as my recording device and the dj setup i am using is a Pioneer DDJ SX2.
I tried this setup and when connecting an external microphone it works! However with my regular aux cable plugged into the REC OUT of my allen & heath mixer for some reason i get no audio :( I tried different aux cables, i'm at my wits end
How do you get the videos on your pc at mp4 I done it through connecting the phone and dragging the file to desktop but it’s a mov file and I can’t convert it cuz it’s too big
I’m not getting Audio on my iphone 14 ? Only through the mic? I’m basically using the same setup as yours.
I purchased everything on the list, and still audio from the mixer to my iphone. I have the DDJ SRT1000, Please help ?
After getting the trs-trrs adaptor I found the signal came in too hot and I couldn’t get the sound quality I wanted. It sounded like plugging line input into a mic (which maybe is exactly what it’s doing.) I swapped it for an IK iStream Solo and it can attenuate(?) the signal and now the recording sounds much better.
Glad you got a good sounding setup going!
I m confused why do u need to use second adapter when u can plug it straight to iPhone adapter
I’ve tried exactly this with a NI Z2 and it keeps recording the iPhone mic output. Is there a setting on the phone I need to change? The jack to lightning converter isn’t from apple but it’s apple certified, could that be the issue?
Don't get why the 3rd piece. Middle one seems unnecessary?
When I record on my iPhone it picks up sound from me talking or just outside sounds. Do you know why this happens
Does anyone know how this could work with the boss rc 505 loop station ?
Outputs are all jack and no rca option available
I tried it with a jack cable on main output but i didnt get it to work…
Any help would be appreciated 🙏
So could this work on a camcorder
Thanks for sharing. Have you experienced audio clipping when streaming? Considering there is no volume level control from the mixer’s stereo output? Maybe Rane offers this volume control, but not all mixers do
Use the booth out put if your mixer has one
That is true, you just have to make sure you watch your levels coming out of the output you are using!
i still hear ambient sounds and i have also have rane 72 mixer.
hey I used the same setup using rode with an iPhone 13 pro, but can’t get the audio output into the phone at all. Anything Im missing out on? TIA
Hey buddy, I just want to record a set from rec out on the mixer straight into phone as a clean signal. But it picks up everything like a mic... So I need TRRS adaptor and then I should get a clean signal into phone for my recording app, with no external sounds as if the whole thing is a giant mic🤔I just want to record the audio from the cable into headphones and nothing else. But yeah.. it records like a microphone instead 😅
Can I use that same set up just to record audio only? RCA into the session out and then use the voice memo or some kind of recording app? Using CDJs for the first time in a couple of weeks and would like to try and record!
Yes this setup will work for just audio as well.
PDotTV but what if I want just audio? I don't have much space on my phone.
dope,
Thanks for watching!
I’m having trouble finding out how to record a different angle at the same time while djing my sets
If you have a protective case on your phone make sure its not stopping the connector going all the way in :)
Great tip!
hello dude ! will i be able to stream my dj sets on facebook for example using your setup ? thanks for the answer and take care !!
Yes you can!
I bought the SC4 tested on both iPhone 11 and iPhone 5S. No sound is coming thru at all.
Tested both RCA outs and mono 1/4 inch to headphone jack (to sc4). Nothing.
hey I used the same setup using rode with an iPhone 13 pro, but can’t get the audio output into the phone at all. Anything Im missing out on? TIA
Hello. I have xone 96. I connect the rec out mixer to the iphone x with rca but it doesn't work.
I saw someone else mention that plugging into your phone should only be done after your camera app is open and in video mode.
So give that a go.
Also, he mentioned any interruption will stop the audio being sent out to the trrs cable.
Would you recommend this for livestreams to with your iPhone?
This would work great for that.
I’m using a djm 450. I bought a TRRS adapter and im running the same setup as in your video but the iphone still keeps recording through the built in mic. How can I fix this?
They Demetrio ,if you want the perfect stereo sound than you need to do this instead ua-cam.com/video/GAJVEvjPva8/v-deo.html
Dementerio hey I used the same setup using rode with an iPhone 13 pro, but can’t get the audio output into the phone. Anything Im missing out on? TIA
Thank you for the demonstation but if we record the sound with a good external card and a pc, the sound will be better no? that makes sense
PS: I have 2 analog mix tables (Amix and Freevox)
rétablir la vérité yes the sound quality will be much better cause the iPhone adapter records in mono not stereo.
Possibly you need 2 pc for OBS and controller separately. You don’t wanna overload 1 computer processing 2 operations at the same time
How’s the audio? Do you have a video that can give me an idea
i have a headphone socket and i tried this on my iphone and it wont work what am i missing?
Update.Igot an i rig 2 and i use it with either my Iphone or Ipad
Got a RANE 57 MKii: Bought all your recommended tech and accessories and I get a lot of static sound within my tested recordings. This doesn't really work.
Sorry you are having issues, it has worked perfectly for me on multiple mixer and different model mixers as well. Also connected to different iOS devices. If you are using it with the 57MK2, make sure you are using the session output and adjust the session output levels to make sure the levels aren't peaking. Also you may want to try different RCA to 1/8" cables if the one you are using isn't working.
❤❤❤❤
I have everything in this video and it still does not work. Do I need to download a separate camera app ??
What! dang I was just about to purchase everything. did you ever figure out ?
when connecting the sc4 in fully to these devices (iPhone se, iPhone 6s, iPhone 8, iPad mini) from my decks using rca to 3.5mm, I get a “voice control” message appear which stops recording. I’ve turned off both Siri and voice control but this still happens. Don’t understand. Any advice?
I used the same setup using rode with an iPhone 13 pro, but can’t get the audio output into the phone. Anything Im missing out on? TIA
Dear SIr. I got to manage recording the sound with iphone based on your video and yet have a question. Iphone cannot handle 2'o clock Master output. I solved this issue turning Master out to 9 o clock. so the level is near one green bar and it is good for recording yet bad for speakers. I am with XDJ-RX2 and sadly it dose not have REC RCA output. How can I catch two rabbits, no clipping recording sound with regular amp master output, at one time?
What you can do to solve this is run either your speakers or the iphone through the "booth" output. You will need adapters to turn the RCA cable into 1/4", but they are widely available online for cheap.
I have a range 70 and I plugged into the session out to the rc4 to the iPhone lightning converter as you, and my audio is choppy at like the number 2. No sound before and no sound after I move the session volume down or up. Just choppy at like 2. So what do you think is going on?
I used the same setup using rode with an iPhone 13 pro, but can’t get the audio output into the phone. Anything Im missing out on? TIA
