  • We took to the trails of Cahuilla for a shakedown on the 2022 Beta 200 RR #twostroke. Since the Beta 200RR was a rider favorite in our 2022 Off-Road Shootout, we decided to spend a bit more seat time aboard the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. Easy to dent the radiators with a large socket for tighter turning. The 200/125 and XT all have a 15% smaller chassis. Beta has the best warranty's and customer service years later in the industry by far. Shotgunned it on social for you. Thanks Sean and Vital.

      No doubt Beta has one of the best warranties. I had the president of Beta USA respond when I had a question. This was prior to my purchase. I was impressed. Good luck getting the President of any other company to email you back. It shows the type of customer service they have. Tim was quick to respond to my question. One of the many reasons I chose Beta over some of the other brands.

    Just sold my beloved 2009 KTM 200 XCW to help buy a house. Now that I'm looking to get another bike, I think this is going to be a perfect replacement. It has all the same stuff, plus e-start and better torque. Can't wait to buy one!

    I wish I had one. I'm 40. I ride a 95 yz250. I'd love to have something super reliable, lighter, easier to start, less taxing on my body to ride. I'd use it in hare scrambles and pleasure trail riding.

      I'm the same way. Perfect size engine for me. I have a 2015 KTM 150 SX and I put a 2004 200 SX engine in it and now it's perfect for me. I always said with 2 strokes you need 1 cc for every pound you weigh. The reason was that my 1984 KX 80 was perfect for me when I was a kid and weighed about 80 pounds. 250 2 strokes can be just a little too much and you get lots of whiskey throttle. I had a 1994 RM 250 and it was a widow maker. I've ridden YZ 250's and they have the most mellow power of any 250 I've ever ridden. If I ever got another 250 it would be a YZ and put a heavy flywheel weight on it to calm it down even more. You can't beat the KYB SSS suspension too.

    I have always loved a 200cc bike in the woods. It all started with a 1985 Yamaha IT200N and grew from there. I raced Japanese 250cc bikes because they was affordable than the euro 200cc offerings at that time. But now I'm really leaning towards the 200 over the 300...

    I have owned many 200 KTM's now the 21 200 RR and am impressed. I am curious if the test bikes oil injection cap had guts fall out into the tank? And did you remove the gas cap green thing for the vent? I may have missed it but I do not think you mentioned the great electric start. I ended up gluing the oil cap vent parts in cap after fishing out with a magnet on a string. Used a Yamaha inline check on the gas cap vent hose.

    I have a 2017 beta 300 RR Racing. I m almost 57 y.o. and have some medical issues . Your video convinced me to buy a 2022 beta 200 RR . According to what i read everywhere, it seems that this bike is exactly the one which 'll perfectly fit me since i m less strong now than when i was 20 y.o.😂 i m looking now for a light and less powerful bike now. The Dirt Bike Channel shows the 2020 200rr weighing 241lbs wet. It’s only 3lbs lighter than the 2020 300rr race edition.
    It’s a little lower. But I think there’s a misconception about it being particularly lightweight.

    I'm not trusting any auto oil mixer. When I worked on marine 2 stroke engines 95% of the engine failures were due to the auto oil mixer not working correctly or at all. Every kawasaki and Rotax rebuild got a oiler delete kit. It's always safer and better to mix your own fuel.

      Erik , I started riding in 1975 with a 1971 Yamaha 200 Electric 2 stroke twin street bike. After having RD350's, every size Kawasaki and Suzuki Triple's, a Yamaha RZ500 owned 20 years, a Suzuki TC305 owned 7 years, a Yamaha CT3 175 owned 20 years, never once had an injection failure. In fact I'm a member of a vintage bike club and have never heard of an injection problem unless the tank is allowed to run low. I guess those old Evinrudes and Johnsons that have taken fisherman all over the planet for the last 80 years are junk.

    which Betas are green sticker ???

    • @Sanguine_Addiction
      @Sanguine_Addiction Рік тому

      I could be wrong, but I don't think any of them are green sticker. With the new CARB law, 2022 MY and up won't get a sticker of any kind unless it meets CARB criteria. Under the new law, if any model is not green sticker eligible in stock form, the bike will receive no sticker and will be confined to closed course competition, which is complete bullshit since there's A LOT of models that were not designed for MX tracks. I currently ride a 2017 YZ250X, red sticker. Great bike and will be grandfathered to green sticker in 2025. I would love to trade it in for a 200 RR but under the new law, I'll only be able to ride it on a MX track or private land, no BLM. A lot of dealers are having a hard time selling the newer off-road/trail/cross country models because many are not CARB-compliant.

    How would this bike work for a 185-195lb rider? I'm worried about being bummed about a lack of power. I have a 22' Husky TX300i. Great bike. But I'm finding that I'm far more into enduro single track. The 300 has loads of power, but is also a bit heavy and how much ass can you even use on a tight trail? But it's still nice to feel that punch and get some adrenaline runnin...

      I’m 6’5” 180lbs. 300s are awesome no doubt. I’m really impressed with the power. The 300 has noticeably more low end, but with the weight, the 200 is probably my favorite bike I’ve ever had.

    • @SkinnySkinch
      @SkinnySkinch 2 роки тому +1

      Have you ever ridden a 125 like when you were a kid? You will completely change the way you ride. No more lugging around and using power to get you out of situations. You must use clutch skills and momentum and proper gear selection constantly. It's SO fun. I ride a TE150i now and am selling my 250XC bc on tight single track I am faster on the 150 than the 250 and I can also ride the 150 all day long and not get extreme arm pump unlike the 250 which just wants to rip itself out of my hands by the end of the day. To each their own but I think the small bores are super fun bikes.
      Oh and I am about 210lbs currently. TE150i has plenty of power for me. Low end is non existent in terms of lugging 3rd gear but thats not a weight issue thats a lack of power issue.
