    Thank you for your candor. It was extremely refreshing to hear someone explain why the less flashy bike is better for most people.

    I’ll take a Sachs suspension everyday over the KYB for tough Rocky Mountain enduro riding that’s not racing. I don’t race. Most don’t race. I love the more plush Sachs suspension. Great content. (Plus I like the looks better)

    I’m so happy my dealer talk with me out for the race edition ( costing him money) I honestly liked it for the look, but ended up getting a free set of race edition graphics anyways haha. All the other bling I can add over time. But after riding my dads race edition, I definitely prefer the standard suspension for my riding style. Lower speed technical Hard enduro.

    I'm 72 and picked up a 300 race edition. I added a lowering link and trail valving to the forks. And a nice Seat Concepts seat.
    I absolutely love this bike. Plushness and handling on steep technical nasty trails is smazing.

    Have been a woods rider since 1972 it is time for me to thin my herd of vintage and post vintage bikes . So I wanted the button.....lol I chose the 200RR because after all my injuries and getting older i dont need a big bore and i have several . I've always enjoyed 250's and in the modern era this 200 has as much if not more power than some of my old 250's. My racing days i think are over so this will be (i hope) the ultimate retirement bike although they are very tall and the seats suck for old guys . Already ordered and new one from seat concepts but they are 3 months out ....grrrr guess i need to do alot of squats to get my chicken bone legs in shape again. Love the bike just haven't had it out on the trails yet. Big learning curve ahead of the this old Husky and Bultaco rider!

    The line to ride the 200RR was always long at our demo day so never got to ride it but all I heard ranged from that was the best ride ever to Wow. Never heard a complaint . Got to ride the 300RR several times and it was awesome in both tight and flowing trails with water bars and hard pack . I was a mid pack B rider and now a fast C - the RR was as close to perfect for me as can get with no rider specific set-up.

      I absolutely agree that the standard RR model is a fantastic bike for 99% of us riders! Glad you got to ride the 300s but you missed out on that magical 200cc bike! Hopefully you get the chance next time! HERE IS MY PRO TIP: Even at the dealer meeting I am already dressed and on the BIKE Side of the group for the riders meeting that way when they say we can go ride I make a fast walk to my favorite bike! Enjoy the ride, Jared

    I just purchased a 2022 200rr race edition! It's my 1st ever new bike. I can't wait for it to warm up so I ca ride it!! Hopefully next week 😬 🙏. Because it's my first bike I did a ton of research and a couple of things that were missed on the 2022 200rr race edition..... the race edition has a different head with a tighter squish. Also on the new race edition they use a different cylinder with one exhaust power valve. On the regular 200rr it's a double power valve setup. Also this year they re-valved the kyb forks to be softer in slower chop.!

    • @3SeasRecreation

      Thanks for the comment! Yes the 200 has some differences between each model. I was trying to do a more general difference between a Standard RR and a Race Edition.. I just happen to have the 200cc versions here.. Also, the 4 stroke models will have traction control on the Race Editions for 2022!

    I’ve watched so many videos the last week comparing bikes. I keep coming back to the 300rr. I’m 57 and just got back into off road riding after buying a 22 klx300 dual sport to ride to work. Took it on some single track a month ago with some buddies. Loved the riding but not the bike for that. So now I’m looking for another bike for just that. Started researching the xtrainer but after watching several videos and reading I’m leaning more towards the 300rr . Great videos

    Apparently the 200RR Race Edition has a new 1 piece power valve and head for more mid to top end power. But the standard edition does not. Can you comment on whether the RE feels any less "rideable" than the standard edition? Thank you for your effort on Beta content.

      Good question! Yep the 2024 RE KYB is still inline with the race editions of previous years. I would try to get to a demo event and see what works best for you! I would recommend the standard RR model but you never know until you try it! Enjoy The Ride, Jared

    If you were a heavier and taller rider (I am 6ft 4" and 205 lbs dry), would you then recommend the stiffer suspension? I'm also typically riding in 2nd and 3rd gear in black rated single track. But at 45, becoming less and less aggresive in my riding style.

    • @3SeasRecreation
      @3SeasRecreation  2 роки тому +2

      Good Morning, thanks for watching our video! I would 100% recommend the standard RR model. I am also the exact same height and weight and would rather trail ride the standard model on the harder trail stuff. Stiffer suspension is great for launching jumps but it is not friendly to slower speed rock sections and tight trails. Thanks, Jared

    • @3SeasRecreation

      Hey Good Afternoon! Yep, Beta is switching to Liqui Moly, in all honesty it's because it will be their new title sponsor for the race team but they have been promoting and still sending Motul in every crate with the bikes. That will eventually switch over as they run out of the Motul.

    Thanks for the Video. I was leaning towards the Race thinking the forks are that much better however I’m only going to trail ride. I’m 42, 205, intermediate rider getting back into riding now that my son is getting older.
    I was still planning on ordering it from Factory with the 200lb springs. Lot of the National Forests I ride have several erosion berms that I launch off.
    Now question is 250 or 300?? I live East coast SC will ride Sand ,Mud and roots. Occasionally NC,OH hills. I’ll be lugging around with the boy but still will rip it occasionally.
    What do you think? 250 or 300?

    • @3SeasRecreation
      @3SeasRecreation  2 роки тому

      Good Morning Kevin, thanks for the comment! Based on your riding description I think the standard RR is a great bike for what you are planning on doing. I don't think the KYB forks are "better" unless you are aggressively riding. We just got back from a trip down south and made a stop in SC at the GTR facility. It was a super fun place, they had just held a hare scramble so we were able to ride the whole race loop! I would suggest a 300cc bike. They lug for days and won't leave you wondering if you are in the right gear at the next hill climb. Hope you enjoy your future Beta purchase!

    Man I really want the Beta 200! I’ve been on 4T’s the past 10yrs but before that I grew up on 2T’s. I really like what I’m hearing about this 200! It seems like the perfect balance of bike for the tight single track & mountains here in Georgia. I had a KTM350EXCF the past 4yrs & loved the balance of it being in between the 250 & 450. I feel like this is the same thing but a 2T.
    Also, can I make this bike street legal? Thanks for the video!

I dont race mostly hard enduro and a little bit of motocross, Thanks

    • @3SeasRecreation
      @3SeasRecreation  2 роки тому

      Good Evening! Thanks for the comment, I actually enjoy the stock Sachs forks! If I am riding motocross then yes I enjoy the KYB but if I am doing a hare scramble, following my boys, trail riding I would rather have the smoother ride of the Sachs. Of course both of these bikes work great and I'm getting pretty picky with this but you shouldn't over look the standard RR Model. If you’re going to have a pro tuner revalve the forks no matter which version you buy, does it just make more sense to get the Race Edition? Is KYB simply a superior platform and if you’re gonna have it tuned anyway, the RE version is the way to go?

      I don’t like the feel of KYBs on hard enduro. To rigid, not plush enough which is good for racing but for enduro riders who enjoy the gnarly trails like Colorado and Utah, Sachs is so much more plush. Too many make the mistake of thinking of its good for racing then it’s good for them but unless you’re racing, the Sachs is a better performance suspension.
