Softer side of Metallica, some people were angry that they deviated from the Heavy Metal that they were known for, I think it showed how versatile they were and talented.
Yep. I grew up avoiding heavy metal as a young kid because it seemed violent and disrespectful etc, but it was Nothing Else Matters that broke the ice for me during my teens and I became interested in metal through Metallica.
And this ballad and most of the black album really put them into the mainstream. They have been riding the wave of that success ever since. One of the few metal bands that have been able to do that from back then.
"Ride the Lightning", "Fade To Black", For Whom the Bell Tolls", "And Justice For All", "Blackened", "Harvester of Sorrow", "The Shortest Straw", "Master of Puppets", "Anesthesia, Pulling Teeth", "Orion", "Battery", "Creeping Death", "Call of Ktulu", "The Four Horsemen", "Hit the Lights", "Metal Militia"..... So many great songs.... RIP Cliff Burton..😰😰😰❤❤❤

When the Black album came out, I actually respected them more as musicians. It seemed like they knew nothing about music theory, and the thrash metal is just so annoying to me. The songs on this album were so well written, melodic & enjoyable.

Lead singer is James Hetfield. He is one of the most commanding and expressive vocalists out there. You have only scratched the surface of these guys. I think you'd enjoy doing the Unforgiven trilogy. Just do them in order as they compliment each other. It will be quite an experience. The original is a classic, Unforgiven 2 is great, but I am partial to part 3, possibly their most underrated song.
James Hetfield ( the lead singer) wrote this as a love song for his then girlfriend with no intention of ever recording it. Lars Ulrich ( the drummer) heard James singing it and suggested that they do record it. This song became one of their biggest hits.
To give you a real idea about how impactful this song is: Sir Elton John called this song "One of the most beautiful songs ever written". Mad props from one of the most respected artists in the business.

You know a song is great when artists of other genres, in this case being Sir Elton John, refer to it as being one of the greatest love songs of all time. Sir Elton even got permission to do a cover version of it... This is Rock Ballad at its absolute best!.. The live version with full orchestral backing is nothing short of phenomenal. Great reaction!!
That’s so true. I saw that interview on Howard Stern’s show and you see James nearly break into tears as Sir Elton is one of his idols … again what you say about the cross genre impact …. Not surprised about these two artists … I must say that Sir Elton and Mylie Cyrus did a good job on it but I’d have preferred Sir Elton solo …… stunning !!!!
I'd argue this is the best power ballad ever. It's an expression of true love that isn't a sugary love song wrapped in a metal packaging. It's truly about two people being everything to each other. For me, the line "All these words I don't just say." makes this song.
This is my absolute favorite song. My husband and I had our 50th wedding anniversary this month. This has been our couples song since it was released in 1992. Life has blessed us with Nothing Else Mattering but us being together......no matter what.
Congratulations to you both on your anniversary my husband and I are on our way we have been together 20 years and on the 21st of this month we celebrated our 18 wedding anniversary. So I will say it again congratulations
I love their cover of "Die Die My Darling" by The Misfits! Also, "Whiskey in the Jar" is actually originally an old Irish folk song. The German/Irish band Santiano does a great rendition of it that is more folk rock. :)
The “Black” album is one of those albums that changed the course of Metal History. “Don’t tread on Me” is one song that you should do a reaction. I have been blessed to see these guys three times, from their early years to their last tour. One of the best, if not the best, of all time. Great job. And yes, Amber, we in the metal family accept you two to be part of this historical fan base and true heavy metal family. Rock on and great job!
I remember waiting outside of Tower Records for midnight to strike so they could sell them.....those were the days, metal heads in line to buy a new cd making a party out of waiting.....this was before cell phones boys and girls, folks interacted with each other.
In metal i personally believe Metallica is in a league all it’s own. Nobody can match Metallica I’m so many ways like lyrics, lyrical delivery, musical abilities, composition, riffs, intros, melody, etc.. They are the best. 🤙🏻
*No, Metallica cannot be touched and here's why... One being that they've been together for 41 years this October, are still touring, and still putting out albums. Two of the original members are still there. Kirk Hammett has been with band for 39 of those 41 years, and Robert Trujillo (bassist) being the newest has been with Metallica for 19 years. Metallica is the first band ever to play on all 7 Continents and have won 9 Grammys. Elton John covered Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" while saying it was one of the best songs ever written and that Metallica was one of the greatest bands of all time. That kind of acknowledgement from someone like Elton John is one of the biggest compliments anyone could get. Metallica has played with the San Francisco Symphony, played at San Quentin prison, and played the soundtrack for Mission Impossible 2 after Tom Cruise gave them a private screening of the movie, persuading them to do it. Even reactors on UA-cam, one minute you'll want to bang your head and the next song you can rock your baby to sleep. They're Metallica.. they're untouchable.*
James Hetfield - lead vocals, rhythm guitar Lars Ulrich - drums Kirk Hammett - lead guitars Bass - depends on the album. First three was Cliff Burton, who was killed in 1986 when the tour bus crashed in Sweden. Next four albums was Jason Newsted, who parted ways with the band in 2001. Rob Trujillo has been with them ever since.
My wife passed away last year. We were married for 22 years, and this was our song. Just two weeks after she celebrated her 47th birthday last year, she suffered a sudden and massive stroke, from which she died 3 days later. I didn't know if I could watch this reaction video, but I did, and I want to thank you, Jay and Amber, for covering it so well.
I love this song. It's so beautiful and one of Metallica's best. Another beautiful hard rock power ballad that you guys would like is "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche. A very haunting song with a very cool video that came out in the early 90's.
Life long female metalhead here - Amber welcome aboard!! This song is great because it kind of demystifies Metallica a bit - makes them more "user-friendly" and breaks down some of the preconceptions people have about metal music in general. Having said that and given my user name, I humbly request for you to check out Master of Puppets. It is a ride!! Love you both!!
The members of Metallica are James Hetfield guitar, Kirk Hammett lead guitar, Lars Ulrich drums, Robert Trujillo bass,They also had a different lead guitarist named Dave Mustaine, but he got kick out and was replaced by Kirk Hammett. There first bass player was Ron McGovney , but was was later replaced by Cliff Burton who sadly passed away in a bus accident on September 27th, 1986. The accident was caused by a snowy and icy storm. Later, Jason Newsted bass player would fill Cliff’s spot. Then, Jason Newsted left Metallica because, he wanted to play a more creative role in the band and at the time Metallica was fighting with Napster (for copyright infringement). But Jason Newsted wanted to do a side project called “Echobrain” and James Hetfield heard about the side project and thought that it would affect Metallica so Jason Newsted left the band. He was replaced by Robert Trujillo who is their fourth and current bassist since 2003.
Metallicas music was referred to as" Death Metal" and as a father of a teenager at that time, I took it upon myself to look into their music and some of the lyrics. There was even a court case at that time that dealt with one of their songs being the cause of a teenager killing his parents. He admitted that he was obsessed with the song and would play it over and over for hours on end. Here are some of those lyrics. Lashing out the action, returning the reaction The weak are ripped and torn away Hypnotizing power, crushing all that cower Battery (or physical violence) is here to stay Smashing through the boundaries, lunacy has found me Cannot stop the battery (physical violence) Pounding out the aggression turns into obsession Cannot kill the battery Cannot kill the family, battery has found me Crushing all desires, mashing non-believers Hungry violence- seeker, feeding off the weak Breeding insanity Reading these lyrics to my son and helping him think about what they meant was the catalyst to him changing his song preferences.
@@bgallagher8129 So many things that I feel should be addressed with this post. So.. First and foremost: Metallica has NEVER been referred to as “Death Metal.” Secondly, Most of these lyrics are incorrect, which technically doesn’t really matter as it pertains to the point I’m making, but still. I don’t understand why people don’t understand that lyrics are 90% of time nothing more than artistic expression, and a way to vent emotions. Those people who believe that just because the lyrical content has a negative connotation, automatically assume the writer is condoning violence, hatred, even suicide. As a musician and a writer, I don’t comprehend this way of thinking. Many times, lyrics are based off of FICTIONAL stories, metaphors, or hypothetical alternate realities. If you go do some deep research, you’ll understand that there are VERY FEW Metal bands in existence who actually condone Satanism, violence, dark deeds, etc. Very FEW in a wide spectrum of music. You’re more likely to find that in POP music in this day and age. FACT. Most of Metallica’s lyrics are based on James’ and Lars’ personal history, books and movies they’ve read and their political views for the time period in which they were written. Take a song like Battery: The lyrics are basically just holding up a mirror to any human who has ever been angry, frustrated or felt the temptation to give in to aggression. “Cannot Kill the family, battery is found in ME.” Inherited temperamental disposition. The funny thing is, you’re more likely to find the kinds of questionable lyrics that really go to that dark and evil place in Slayer’s music, and yet, they have all admitted that it’s just an act. It just fits the music they write. Hell, the lead singer of Slayer (Tom Araya) is an admitted Christian, and didn’t even know what Thrash Metal was when he joined the band. And that’s what Metallica is categorized as, Thrash Metal. It’s also fair to take into consideration that Metallica were only CHILDREN when they started out. (82-86) In their early years at 17, 18 years old they were simply writing about things that most kids their age think about. By the time they were into their 20’s, their music content and lyrics had already matured greatly (And Justice For All…, 1988) Most of them are all married with children of their own now, and they’re probably the ones looking into the lyrical content their children listen to.
Yes! but the live version, For some reason it brings more to the song when they do that break down and have everybody's chanting !DIE! it can bring chills down your spine
FINALLY!!!!!!!! Sir Elton John rated this the most beautiful instrumental ever recorded and then did a piano version and to answer ur question….NOPE, they are unmatched!!!! Metallica is the best!!!!!! Y’all should also check out “Unforgiven” Jordan, the lead singer is James Hetfield, lead guitar is Kirk Hammett, bassist is Jason Newstead and drums is Lars Ulrich 😉
This album is very special to me. It was one of the few albums I had when I was deployed to Macedonia. Check out Wherever I May Roam, that was my theme song over there!
Amber, you nailed it with how well Metallica is able to connect. I highly recommend you guys see them in concert. They way they connect with the crowd is like no other band I've seen. There's a reason why, after seeing them in concert 14 times, I still want more and can't wait to see them again.
If you guys get a chance, check out the album they have playing their most iconic songs with a symphonic orchestra. Every single song is a masterpiece.
The album's called "S&M"...stands for "Symphony & Metallica". Recorded with the San Fransisco Symphony. Also, if you like that sound, check out a band called Apocalyptica. They're now categorized as a Finnish symphonic metal band; but they started as a cello quartet. Their first album, in 1996, ""Plays Metallica By Four Cellos", is all Metallica covers played, well, by four cellos. Their second album, "Inquisition Symphony", is also mostly a covers album, but of various metal bands (Faith No More, Sepultura, Pantera, more Metallica). The cover of "Nothing Else Matters" on that album is exceptionally good.
In a similar vein, Apocalyptica's album "Metallica by Four Cellos" is a really interesting take on some of the bands most iconic songs, but just on cellos. Its pretty cool.
Yes!! This album is always my go to to introduce someone to Metallica. It bridges the gap for those who've never listened to harder stuff. Gotta go with Hero of the Day being my fav on it. Followed closely by No Leaf Clover and Of Wolf and Man.
This is part of the reason why Metallica is my favorite band. I actually used to be into rap when I was younger, then made my way into heavy metal/rock, but I actually went along time without really listening to Metallica, mainly because I thought it was "old" metal, and OMG I was so wrong. Yes, it is technically "old", but not old as in "soft". I got into them and just couldn't believe how they had banger after banger after banger after BANGER. Not only stuff that all sounds the same either, there SO much range and so many different emotions felt while listening to them. Couple that with James Hetfield being such an awesome ass dude, and I'm so proud to call them my favorite.
The metal fans all over accept you and welcome you Amber! Never too late. James Hetfield is the lead singer and founded the band with drummer, Lars Ulrich. And yes…there are other metal bands that can match these guys. Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Pantera… You should get to them eventually.
@@garyco766 LOL, you must be kiddin' Black Sabbath not at the same level? LOL I like to quote Rob Zombie: "Every metal riff was invented by Black Sabbath, you maybe play it slower, faster or even backwards, but they played it first." Tony is a genius on the guitar.
There are those people, those rare people, who love you for who you are and it doesn't matter how much you get to see them in person. Those are your people. This is my intro song for the people I meet who judge metal. I will always be me. I tried not being me for a while and got lost so those words are very precious to me. Nothing else matters.
This is the Metallica song that a whole boatload of artists from every genre claim is one of their most favorite. Chris Stapleton did a soul-chilling cover of this one. It is a *MUST* listen. (Especially now that you've heard the original.) ✌😎
Elton John thinks it's one of the greatest songs ever written. If we are going to put a Metallica song in that category though. That song is probably fade to black.

You must listen the collaboration with the San Francisco symphonic orchestra.. this is mind-blowing and it was the first time a group did that and until now it's still one of my favourite albums.
You guys should react to more Metallica… "Master of Puppets", "Creeping Death", "Battery", "Whiplash", "Fade to Black", "Seek & Destroy", "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", "Disposable Heroes", "Blackened", "Harvester of Sorrow", "Sad But True", "Wherever I May Roam", "My Friend of Misery" 🎸🤘
The Black Album is considered their best. So many great songs from it: "wherever i may roam", "sad but true", "of wolf and man".....regarding their names: James Hetfield: guitar and lead vocal Lars Ulrich: Drums Kirk Hammett: Lead guitar Robert Trujillo: current bassist, however in this video its with their former bassist Jason Newsted.
Of Wolf and Man is my favorite of their songs. The Black album was what we listened to in order to get pumped for football games, so it has a nostalgic power that makes it "my Metallica".
This song although I've heard it many many times, brought me to tears recently as if it was the first time hearing it. Metallica is absolutely amazing!!
There really isn't the "best" of anything. So many artists and so much amazing, iconic music. Everyone has their favourites and everyone has their own criteria but of course there are artists that soar higher than others. Metallica is one of them.
I wasn't a huge fan of this song when they released it. The older I get, the more I really appreciate it. I love James Hetfield and the guys. They have done some incredible things to be very proud of. Anytime you want to just be in "awe", watch the live in USSR show...just killer. Some of my favorite Pantera clips are from the same show.
My dad had this recorded on one of my baby videos(which my mother swears he recorded over some of my video. She was pissed .lol. But, he said he did not record over any of my milestones.) I was learning how to walk, he was recording and talking to me. This video was at the end. Watching those videos growing up, holds a special place in my heart. So, Metallica became one of my favorite bands. My father and i consider this "our father/daughter song". I'll forever be grateful for him introducing me to this band. ❤ i love the lyrics: "Life is ours. We live it our way." And "Never cared for what they do. Never cared for what they say." It has helped me live life the way I want, and don't let others talking get in the way of it. Anyway, thank you for reading this ridiculously long comment! 😂 i enjoyed this reaction.

This is one of those songs where Metallica puts aside all preconceptions and shows their true artistry. Love your pure reactions at hearing it for the first time. Greatness!!
There are certainly metal bands that have higher technical proficiency and speed. However, in my mind, Metallica is at the peak with songwriting ability, with this song being among the top songwriting-wise. The lyrics are literal and exposing.
Amber, you'll find that Metalheads are some of the most inclusive people you'll meet. I can safely say, you both are more than welcome to join the family! 🤘🏽🤩😍
A haunting piece that can mean a million different things to just one person. Beautiful. If you want some more Metallica, you should check out the Unforgiven trilogy. Yep, Unforgiven, Unforgiven 2 & Unforgiven 3. You could even do those as a special Metallica Monday. Other ones I'd recommend are, The memory remains, Sad but true, No leaf clover (official music video where they are performing with the San Francisco symphony orchestra), & King nothing. Much love to everyone from here in the UK. & hope everyone has an amazing week
As a Metallica fan since the early 80's, even before I saw them perform live at the Hollywood Palladium in 1984, back when no one but the kids were paying any attention to them, I am subscribing because of what Amber said at 10:00. Thank you, Amber, for being open to listening and allowing yourself the time to appreciate all that is the magic of Metallica.
This is the song my husband and I had for our first dance at our wedding. We also played "Big Balls" by AC/DC (a tradition in hi family) as well as several other more mainstream songs along with my family's traditional Polish Polkas for the money dances.
"Nothing Else Matters" was the 4th single Metallica charted on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking @ #34 in 1992. Between 1989 - 2000, Metallica charted 13 singles in the Hot 100 reaching the Top 10 only once with "Until It Sleeps" (#10) in 1996.

FADE TO BLACK y'all!! The lyrics are heavy in terms of their meaning. But the song is just greatness. It's one of the songs that brought me through a very dark time in my life. You HAVE to hear it.
This is my favorite Metallica cut. It show cases just how brilliant musicians and song writers they are. And it's so true, their emotions really come through in their music.
Lars Ulrich is the drummer, he was one of the best tennis players in Denmark as a teen before Metallica and is now a professional artist selling paintings that have made millions. That guy is an incredible talent and I'm sure glad he passed on tennis :)
I tried to get my wife to have this as our wedding song. She heard Metallica and instantly said no without hearing the song. Settled on Firehouse, Love Of A Lifetime. Would love to hear you react to that song. Coming up on 25 years!
My best friend died this past December (he was 25) and it has totally destroyed everything within me. And just recently came back across this song after years, and it’s become sort of a mantra to myself on this lonely journey of grief. “Never opened myself this way, life is ours we live it our way, all these words I don’t just say, and NOTHING else (but what will help me heal) matters.” I miss you brother, find your way home, you’re free now.
This song played in an arena with 50,000 fans is unbelievably awesome. To hear an entire stadium sing all the lyrics in sync is a true spectacle that can be viewed on camera, but can't be felt unless you're there.

I'd argue this is the best power ballad ever. It's an expression of true love that isn't a sugary love song wrapped in a metal packaging. It's truly about two people being everything to each other. For me, the line "All these words I don't just say." makes this song.
Thank you for that comment. I mean, really. Not many people truly understand this song...at all...
Agreed
100% agreed.
This is my absolute favorite song. My husband and I had our 50th wedding anniversary this month. This has been our couples song since it was released in 1992. Life has blessed us with Nothing Else Mattering but us being together......no matter what.
Congratulations!
Congratulations on celebrating your Golden Wedding Anniversary...❤️
Very cool!
Congratulations to you both on your anniversary my husband and I are on our way we have been together 20 years and on the 21st of this month we celebrated our 18 wedding anniversary. So I will say it again congratulations
Congratulations! I was only 9 months old when you got married. 🙂
Metallica is my all-time favorite band and they are incredible live in concert.
I would like to test that idea...!!
We welcome you Amber, it's never late to become a fan but also Metallica music never gets old.
Only Metallica can make a ballad not seem like a ballad 🤘
They got a lot of flak for this song & album by longtime thrash metal fans.
A true artist will do songs with conviction. Love that he made this song and that the band stood behind it! It is powerful! Mad respect!!!
So true!
I love their covers of Bob Segers, Turn The Page and Thin Lizzys Whiskey In The Jar.
Don't forget their cover of Queen's Stone Cold Crazy.
@@unklesalty3732 just about to chime in on that one.
"Last Caress/Green Hell" - Misfits
Blue Oyster Cult's "Astronomy" deserves a mention.
I love their cover of "Die Die My Darling" by The Misfits! Also, "Whiskey in the Jar" is actually originally an old Irish folk song. The German/Irish band Santiano does a great rendition of it that is more folk rock. :)
Of course we accept you Amber! 🤘
Please do Master Of Puppets. That was the first song I heard of theirs and it hooked me from day 1. Rock on you two!
Yes!
+100000 for Master of Puppets!!!
That’s the song that sold me.
Yes please listen to Master of puppets.
James hates dont tread on me, said so in an interview with playboy years ago.
Meh, the most similar one is definitely fade to black. Different lyrics, same vibe

Wait a minute. It’s been 19 years since Jason Newstead left??? Wow where did the years go?
I agree with everything you said although I’m not a fan of the hard rock/symphony collaborations. It’s like putting ice cream and bacon together.
@@chrisa4695 I know, right?!
Yeah. They still refer to Robert as "the new guy." 😅

I'm very impressed Amber, you are learning that There's more to Metallica than just being loud !!
And also with other groups of this Genre ...
Amber is very intelligent when it comes to music. I love listening to her
James Hetfield - lead vocals, rhythm guitar
Lars Ulrich - drums
Kirk Hammett - lead guitars
Bass - depends on the album. First three was Cliff Burton, who was killed in 1986 when the tour bus crashed in Sweden. Next four albums was Jason Newsted, who parted ways with the band in 2001. Rob Trujillo has been with them ever since.
Cliff was the greatest bass player ever.
Rob the current Bassist Used to also play for Ozzy Osborne.
🙏🙏🙏
Lars on drums is fantastic. Don't let any other metalheads tell you different (and they will). He is perfection for what Metallica attempts to create.
I love this song. It's so beautiful and one of Metallica's best. Another beautiful hard rock power ballad that you guys would like is "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche. A very haunting song with a very cool video that came out in the early 90's.

Love Silent Lucidity! One of my top 5 favorite songs.
Love your title!
Metal has a very weird rabbit hole and most bands are not for causal listeners.
@Pasture of Muppets You oughta check out the Fenix TX song with the same name if you haven't heard it, super catchy early 2000's rock song.
There are no bad Metallica songs! These guys have rocked my world since 80's. At 51 they still do!
Right there with ya at 53 😀
I must respectfully disagree. I'm a huge Metallica fan and it pains me to say it but the entire St Anger album is atrocious.
@@GrannyMetalheadTV the song St. Anger isn’t that bad tho
Metallica's music is beautiful.Their riffs are incredible and it's deep stuff. So much to look forward to.
You really need to listen to the best song ever written about the very first Passover, Metallica’s “Creeping Death.”
It sounds odd, but you are totally correct. 💯
Lashing out the action, returning the reaction
The weak are ripped and torn away
Hypnotizing power, crushing all that cower
Battery (or physical violence) is here to stay
Smashing through the boundaries, lunacy has found me
Cannot stop the battery (physical violence)
Pounding out the aggression turns into obsession
Cannot kill the battery
Cannot kill the family, battery has found me
Crushing all desires, mashing non-believers
Hungry violence- seeker, feeding off the weak
Breeding insanity
Reading these lyrics to my son and helping him think about what they meant was the catalyst to him changing his song preferences.
@@bgallagher8129 So many things that I feel should be addressed with this post.
So..
First and foremost: Metallica has NEVER been referred to as “Death Metal.”
Secondly, Most of these lyrics are incorrect, which technically doesn’t really matter as it pertains to the point I’m making, but still.
Take a song like Battery:
The lyrics are basically just holding up a mirror to any human who has ever been angry, frustrated or felt the temptation to give in to aggression.
“Cannot Kill the family, battery is found in ME.”
Inherited temperamental disposition.
In their early years at 17, 18 years old they were simply writing about things that most kids their age think about.
By the time they were into their 20’s, their music content and lyrics had already matured greatly (And Justice For All…, 1988)
Most of them are all married with children of their own now, and they’re probably the ones looking into the lyrical content their children listen to.
Yes! but the live version, For some reason it brings more to the song when they do that break down and have everybody's chanting !DIE! it can bring chills down your spine
FINALLY!!!!!!!! Sir Elton John rated this the most beautiful instrumental ever recorded and then did a piano version and to answer ur question….NOPE, they are unmatched!!!! Metallica is the best!!!!!!
Y’all should also check out “Unforgiven”
Jordan, the lead singer is James Hetfield, lead guitar is Kirk Hammett, bassist is Jason Newstead and drums is Lars Ulrich 😉

I got married to this song. A Metallica song at a traditional wedding and it was perfect. This song is perfection.
As did my wife and myself.
Such a beautiful song. My favorite is Fade to Black, closely followed by Unforgiven.
Bleeding Me or Outlaw Torn would be a great choice from the Symphony it gives those songs so much more life
Yes!! This album is always my go to to introduce someone to Metallica. It bridges the gap for those who've never listened to harder stuff. Gotta go with Hero of the Day being my fav on it. Followed closely by No Leaf Clover and Of Wolf and Man.
I love the intro to Battery on that album. The cellos make it sound so much more haunting.
God i forgot how gorgeous this song was. Takes me back. ❤
LOL look at you two vibin'!
The best moment of this video is 10.38
Two people looking at each other with the feelings that only expressed as love.
Fade to black is a must, Kirk Hammet's solo at the end of the song is legendary.
Have to disagree; those bands don't match Metallica. Good bands, but not at the same level.

The Black Album is considered their best. So many great songs from it: "wherever i may roam", "sad but true", "of wolf and man".....regarding their names:
James Hetfield: guitar and lead vocal
Lars Ulrich: Drums

"Nothing Else Matters" was the 4th single Metallica charted on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking @ #34 in 1992. Between 1989 - 2000, Metallica charted 13 singles in the Hot 100 reaching the Top 10 only once with "Until It Sleeps" (#10) in 1996.
Until It Sleeps is solid, even with the slightly strange video :)
