Despite Francis clowning he breaks each move down and literates it brilliantly. I've watched dozens of videos and Francis breaks the sequences down so good. He puts word to action in precision for viewer to see and understand every step. Not missing a beat. So do not be dissuaded by his tomfoolery.
His tomfoolery is dangerous. You would think a driving instructor knows that in the road while in a moving car is no place to play around
@@Daye04 To a certain extent yes, and perhaps he is communicating to a specific viewership and highlighting through the theatrics the importance of being serious with the actual rules.

Francis is so funny. Some ppl in the comments clearly don't know him, he is a great instructor, he's just being silly/goofy for content and not concentrating. His teaching is amazing and he does his job well. instructors are examined on their own teaching so they have to hold up to a standard, he's fine.
If anything Francis making a few mistakes can help fellow learners to understand even instructors aren’t perfect and to cut themselves some slack if they fail on a driving test for something minor

@@SQ96_ but if it wasnt for Amand addressing them they would have never known, and also in the instance where he sped towards an amber light, he defended the decision. I like the guy and I think they should regularly make videos together, but some of his driving was completely dangerous.

I absolutely admire your courage and humility to take each other’s mock tests and got them posted online and be open to comments and criticisms! I can’t imagine how stressful it must have been to try to pass the test once again after years of teaching! A big thank you to you and Francis for your bravery and risk-taking!

@@ClearviewDriving He did two serious faults at start technically but only one was counted. Took hands off steering wheel twice in a few seconds of each other. Also another at 5 minute 31 seconds if you want to be strict. Also at around 14 minutes in.

This is reassuring for me. Even experienced drivers when temporarily not paying 100% attention are prone to faults. We're all human. I've failed several times.

Francis is a really lovely guy. He never stops chatting throughout his mock test. In later life he could get a job as a tour bus operator......they never stop talking either. But in fairness he is actually explaining his driving method over the entire journey. He does radiate huge amounts of confidence and looks super relaxed behind the wheel. A cool guy!!

Agree Sarah is amazing she was my examiner and I passed with her first time, She really puts you at ease and you find talking to her is like talking to an old friend, 40 mins test felt like 10 mins lol x

Gosh, I always forget to LIKE the videos as I'm watching them one after the other on FULL screen, where UA-cam hasn't yet figured out (apparently) how to add a LIKE button when you hover over the video (that's on a laptop, not sure how it is on mobile). So, it's just not made easy to quickly click a LIKE button WITHOUT going out of full-screen mode.
- - Yes, there is a "Scroll for details" option but you do have the description, along with all the buttons you can click, but you also do go out of full screen. - -

I am a driver but I learned to drive in a different country, where some road markings and signs are not the same as they are here. And even though I have some experience driving in England, I definitely did not know of some of the things I learn on this channel.
You definitely give me more confidence to be on the road and know that I'm doing the right thing.

I learned in a Merc and I absolutely love the hold function. The insurance for a Merc is too high for me as a new driver but I will definitely be getting one eventually. Lovely cars.

4:48 I hate to sound like a grump but im glad Aman did this, us Clearview Driving fans are used to serious "clear" eyed driving and instruction and Francis was just messing around making 3 serious faults in the space of minutes. I get he is a bubbly entertaining character, and I am sure I will enjoy watching the rest of the video, but he should at least try to do the test to the best of his ability.
Also you can tell Aman's life flashed before her eyes after that near miss, that was close lol.

As someone who suffered life-changing injuries from a driver goofing around and taking hands off the wheel, I don't find this amusing, he seems a lovely guy but there is never an excuse for dangerous driving and especially not from an instructor.

I’m learning to drive in Hither Green at the moment, the roads in the area are quite easy to learn in but once you start venturing into Lewisham or Greenwich it’s mayhem 😩

I’ve been watching your videos constantly for weeks and they’re really helping so thank you! I like the way you two discuss things so I’ve got a question - my instructor was telling me about undertaking the other day and we discussed a student of his that failed because they were going faster than someone in the overtaking lane (they were doing 40 instead of national speed limit!). He questioned the fail and was told the student should match their speed instead of undertaking, but that they would also fail for doing 40 because that’s slowing the traffic. So what do you do?

For being a teacher, he should have stopped at the road junction, and waited, but he didn't. Most of time, he was not having his eyes on the road, and occasionally hands were off the wheel too. He was highly distracted while driving which a driver should not be. He was trying to engage the co passenger into a conversation, which is not what a driver should do. There are no funny faults on the road, if you fail on the real road, you know what awaits for you. He is not braking well in advance at the road junctions, but is only braking at the very end which makes his junction observation very bad at certain junctions.
His driver mugged me right off 😂😂😂

Iv been watching alot of your videos recently as the wife wants to learn so she's watching well 'we are watching' And I would add, I would definitely pay you to teach my wife how to drive, Unfortunately I can't say the same for the guy, Any instructor should take driving seriously, People are paying him for his knowledge and teaching ability not his jokes and banter, Personally I wouldn't pay that guy to teach my wife, I think he was more interested in showing off more then anything. I know he's jus messing around but I don't think he deliberately meant to pull out ahead of that car at the start and by not concentrating he's putting people in danger. I understand having a more light hearted approach but as a driving instructor he should be more responsible imo, still enjoyed the video but I wouldnt want lessons from him

Theres zero way these comments would be as positive if anyone else drove the exacttt same way as him. They'd all be doing the usual comments like get him a bus pass instead lol. I found that he looks away too much for too long too, like will look over to Aman for 4 seconds straight in a residential area it seemed. And I feel like moving his left foot away from the pedals to put it in a lounge position for like 10 seconds after the speeding bit was a bit dodge too but maybe thats just picky. He's obviously a speeder normally going byy the 2 videos, seems like he actively has to try hard not to speed because of a habit.
Francis' standards check just got bumped to the top of the list.

I was anxious at the end when he was driving on the test centre road and not looking out the windscreen, just at the camera. 😳😂
