Now I can finally say I'm part of the 'passed my test but still watching' group! Thank you so much for your helpful and in depth videos. One month leading up to my test I watched your videos day in day out and they really helped me. I passed today on my 3rd time with only 3 minors. After my 2nd fail I had no confidence and really wanted to give up but I'm so glad I never 😅. For anyone taking their test soon my only real advice is: 1. Get a good nights sleep 2. Eat a good 'brain food' breakfast 3. Don't drive too much before your test but do carry out a few things you're not too confident on 4. TRY to stay calm (easier said than done) and don't worry too much about any faults you think you've made . Just stay collected, positive and keep going! Good luck everyone! 🚗

This video is really well layed out with the camera setups to see everything that is happening. Just watching these vids for my test this month. Driving lessons are crazy expensive for me down in the south with it being £40 per hour:/. But this is really helpful without having to for more driving lessons. Keep up the good vids:)
Thank you so so much for all your helpful videos. I watched this video yesterday and today my driving instructor was surprised at how much my driving improved since my last lesson. Thank you again😀
passed first time with 1 minor…I watched ALL Morden driving videos, search rose hill roundabout explanation and Morden hall roundabout explanation…there is also an app where you pay £12 and it gives you ALL UK driving test routes…go through all 19 routes at least once!!! Good luck, be yourself, look in mirrors, and listen to instructions..,when reversing remember to look back, stop when other cars / pedestrians come…I didn’t get tested on parallel / bay parking but make sure you are confident in this just incase….i had about 20 hours worth of lessons…find a really good instructor I had a nasty one, went through about 4 instructors, my last one was the best.

@@DrivingSchoolTV firstly I want to say I love your videos. I like the enthusiasm that you come with, which makes them very enjoyable to watch! As for the West Midlands it’s notorious for having one of the lowest pass rates in the UK. Some test centres in Birmingham have a pass rate that is below 25% and that’s way below the national average. Aside from the statistics I find some drivers around where I drive assume you are an incompetent driver when they see a learner car. @@DrivingSchoolTV Hello , I have an update on my test result :) I had my driving test today but unfortunately I failed but I’m very confused because I was on a dual carriage way with 2 lanes and in the left lane there were parked cars so I stayed in the right but then I moved over to the left every time I passed the parked cars on the left but then moved back in the right safely once parked cars appeared in the left lane again. Ahh I think I know what happened. If you can see there’s something ahead in the left Lane you don’t need to drive in it because you’re still overtaking. You shouldn’t keep changing lanes unnecessarily. Even if you can see something 100m away in the left Lane you’re still planning on overtaking so you should be in, or be moving in to the right lane. Hope that makes sense!!
Wows this so interesting to see as an American! My driving test was max 15-20 min and I did the parallel parking and the reversal of my car but this is on another level! Awesome!
Ella, as you have said, she has to be relaxed, and confident, and when cars, coming, from the opposite sides, just wait, incase, they space, is not enough, until they go,

My biggest tip to anyone taking their test is, as already mentioned, take NO notice of what the examiner is doing on their iPad. I was adamant I'd failed with the examiner constantly going and marking things or making notes on their iPad, well over 15 times, just to finish with 2 minors - so they aren't saying not to take notice just to make you feel better, but because half the time they aren't putting anything bad!
I have a question so I am from Germany and I would ask if you turn to the right did u and the other traffic participant in front of you, did u need to turn in front of both or behind each other? in german it is the same case when u turn left so we turn in front of each other, how is it handled in the UK?
Good question. You always turn in front?? It depends on the size of the junction over here! If it’s a big junction we turn behind because you get a better view of oncoming traffic, which is safer. But it’s not incorrect to go in front in a big junction, we have to just try and do the same as the oncoming vehicle 😊
@@DrivingSchoolTV Hey thanks for the quick response and sorry for my rude greeting. I was so impressed by the skill of Ella 🤭 yes in Germany it’s a law since 1992 I guess. So we turn in front all the time if we want to turn left. But the fact that it depends on the size of the junction and that you can see more and better is a big plus, sometimes I feel very unsafe and a bit pressured when turning left because the traffic behind wants to continue and I as well but the thing is when you can’t see anything than it’s impossible to continue. But thanks for the explanation :) I will remember when I come over there but first of all I need to get used to drive on the left side 😂
I would have made a mistake at 17:54. Why is it the right side when turning left there? Before you could drive on the bus lane, then suddenly not? Tricky.
Lots of people do make that mistake! The bus lane starts at the road she's just turned left into and it's a 24 hour bus lane so you can never use it. You can drive in some bus lanes at certain times though, just have to read the signage to work it out!
@@DrivingSchoolTV so on my test next Monday if I get this route should I change to the right lane or is that left arrow for car park for the next left turn since just after it becomes three lanes
I wish my instructor was this chill, i would feel so calm and less anxious!! Unfortunately my instructor makes me more nervous with yelling, yesterday i signaled a bit earlier and he yelled at me, i know they shouldn't sugar coat us, but at least yell at me and get mad when i make a dangerous mistake 😔 i have a lesson in an hour and im not feeling it at all
You need to find another instructor immediately! Its unacceptable for someone who you pay to mentor you and motivate you to make you feel like this. There are so many really lovely instructors out there. Please find one of them ☺️ If we can help any more let us know!
Try and be as chill as possible for this. I know it will mean a lot to you but it’s really not a hard test, they are just going to get you to do a little bit of everything you’ve been practising over and over with your instructor 😊 and if anxiety is REALLY bad Kalms helps
I would just advise avoiding the manual transmission on the top of the range A-Class. The gear selector on the automatic A-Class is mounted on the steering wheel like other Mercs.
Yes, in your driving test, you will be marked down regardless of whether there is traffic. Although, once you have your licence, you can do what you want. Most people indicate if there are other cars.
LOL thanks Norman. Technically once you have your licence you cant really do what you want haha... But Oscar think about the other people who could benefit from your signal. pedestrians, cars parked may have someone in them thinking about moving off... if theres LITERALLY NOTHING else on the road though a signal isnt necessary.
Great video, really helpful. Although, I was slightly surprised at the end... my driving instructor tells me that to move to 3rd gear you should be doing 25mph on the flat and 30mph uphill whereas you said 20mph. If I was driving on a flat road at 20-25mph and stayed in 2nd, is this ok?
Glad it helped! thats weird though, it wouldn't normally be correct on most cars but your gears might have different ratios to normal. What car are you driving? If your instructor is telling you to drive like that you should do it. They will have got loads of people through driving tests before you and there must be a good reason :)
I have my test coming up soon, Question though, would the examiners mark you down for not using the gears to slow down? I'm now getting into the habbit of using the gears to slow down instead of completely relying on the brakes.
braking to slow down and selecting the correct gear makes the most sense. if you use engine braking too much then it can be jerky. and if you're not braking at the same time you'll be slowing down without brake lights on. I think this answered the question if not come back to me!
@@DrivingSchoolTV Yes it did thank you! Due to COVID i been trying to get my test done for a while (finally boooked for Octorber) But have already driven 7,000 miles in my own car with family haha So love just watching these videos to find new things so i know what to make sure i look out for and pay attention to
Hi I’ve got a random question. Let’s say a bus lane sign says (Monday-Friday) and for example (7-10am) then (4-7pm) could I drive in the bus lane on a Saturday at anytime in the day even if the sign only said Monday to Friday
Hey Rene that’s a good question! Yes you could should drive in that bus Lane because it’s available to you and therefore the left lane. The times advertised is when it’s a bus Lane, if Saturday isn’t advertised you can drive in it on Saturday 😊
I’ve been told that if you are going too slow that can give you some faults or even fail ur test. Ella always seems to be going 10mph under the speed limit, I understand going slower in more tight roads but even in the 40mph areas she always seemed to be going 30 instead. Just wondering because that’s a worry of mine , apart from that I think ellas a really calm and safe driver x
The aim isn't to always drive around at the speed limit. It's to drive around at a safe speed for the road you're on. If you're significantly below that or unnecessarily holding up traffic then you'll get marked down
Ella's driving is so good, loving her confidence she deffo deserves her license. Good luck on your test Ella! 🤞🏽

Haha awesome :) I’ve driven in Europe a lot, including Germany.. you get used to it really fast ☺️
@@DrivingSchoolTV all right thanks I will try it when i am on vacation or I will plan to go there on vacation to try it 😂 ☺️
I would have made a mistake at 17:54.
At 18:10 the road marking says left for car park so can you still go straight on in that lane
You can’t disobey a road marking on your test so no. You’d need to switch lanes.
@@DrivingSchoolTV but how come Ella went straight on then in that lane at 18:10
For sure. Do you think that should have been a fault?
@@DrivingSchoolTV I’m not too sure but would you say the examiner could give a serious for that
@@DrivingSchoolTV so on my test next Monday if I get this route should I change to the right lane or is that left arrow for car park for the next left turn since just after it becomes three lanes
I like the way he give confident
I live in Morden in soon i will be start my driving lessons.
I was very excited 😊
All the best Ella you deserve this licence nice mock test 😃
Great video! Got my test in morden Saturday so it helped! X
Omg good luck! Let us know how you get on!!!
@@DrivingSchoolTV Thankyou 🤞
I wish my instructor was this chill, i would feel so calm and less anxious!!
Unfortunately my instructor makes me more nervous with yelling, yesterday i signaled a bit earlier and he yelled at me, i know they shouldn't sugar coat us, but at least yell at me and get mad when i make a dangerous mistake 😔 i have a lesson in an hour and im not feeling it at all
You need to find another instructor immediately! Its unacceptable for someone who you pay to mentor you and motivate you to make you feel like this. There are so many really lovely instructors out there. Please find one of them ☺️
If we can help any more let us know!
Omds I have to do this exact route in a few months ahah. This is a great help !!
let us know if u pass !!
How haven’t i found you sooner? Im doing my test on Monday and im shitting myself 😂
😂 best comment today 🙌
Cleanup crew to the Evans household STAT!!!!
@@DrivingSchoolTV 😂😂😂 dw, ive got cleaners on speed dial😂 never thought something like a driving test could trigger my anxiety so much.
Try and be as chill as possible for this. I know it will mean a lot to you but it’s really not a hard test, they are just going to get you to do a little bit of everything you’ve been practising over and over with your instructor 😊 and if anxiety is REALLY bad Kalms helps
How did it go?
@@remyhadley6595 I failed 😩
I got mine in 8 days and your video really help me
This is where I took my test - the memories!
Where I live, in Ipswhich there is a double roundabout which is a pain up the behind as it is a very jct and alot lorries and buses also use it too
That smile was cheeky as duck😭 10:15
I didn't even know they made new mercedes cars with a manual gearbox, cool!
🙌
Nice drive Ella. Nice channel Francis.
Thank you!
Come on Ella smash it girl see you on the road 🤞
Do you have to indicate right at that give way where the sat back says straight ahead
Wonderful camera 📷 stunning.
Many thanks!
Yes Ella, you can do it
So wonderful video , so helpful
Great vid and best of luck! Francis can you do a first car review of the Seat Ibiza?!
Love that car. It’s basically a cheaper golf with a weird badge lol 😆 I’ll find one and drive it !!
@@DrivingSchoolTV wicked, I look forward to it! 🤩
I would just advise avoiding the manual transmission on the top of the range A-Class.
The gear selector on the automatic A-Class is mounted on the steering wheel like other Mercs.
It’s crazy drivers tests in the us are 10 minutes, because the instructor was late my brothers driving test was only 5 minutes
Omg that’s insane can you properly assess someone’s driving in five minutes?!?
@@DrivingSchoolTV I have no clue, that would just barely be enough time for a parallel park and k turn
I feel left was a definite left, and the right was a more fluid path to take so bear right for me.
At 15:16 it is straight on.....from 6 o clock to 10 o clock we can take it as left and 11 o clock to 1 o clock we can take it as straight on...
Do you reckon Tolworth or Morden Test Center is harder?? Love the energy and videos!
Hi Dear,
Is there any other drive route in morden, that you can post.
There are about 10 routes in morden! Send us a dm on instagram and I can send you all the links 😊
watching this from the US is really really interesting!
It’s very different driving over here, right!!
@@DrivingSchoolTV right! seems much more difficult than here🤣
Do you have to indicate when you are joining traffic, when parked at the side of a main road, particularly when there's no traffic?
Yes, in your driving test, you will be marked down regardless of whether there is traffic. Although, once you have your licence, you can do what you want. Most people indicate if there are other cars.
LOL thanks Norman. Technically once you have your licence you cant really do what you want haha... But Oscar think about the other people who could benefit from your signal. pedestrians, cars parked may have someone in them thinking about moving off... if theres LITERALLY NOTHING else on the road though a signal isnt necessary.
my first driving test is tomorrow 😩 i’ve been binge watching every single video lmao
Good luck Dan! Let us know how you get on!
@@DrivingSchoolTV I PASSED💙 thanks for all the help 💙💙 these online lessons genuinely make it so much easier
🥳🤩🙌👏 YES DAN!!!!
Send us a pass pic on insta for a shoutout!! @DrivingSchoolTv
Due to COVID i been trying to get my test done for a while (finally boooked for Octorber) But have already driven 7,000 miles in my own car with family haha
So love just watching these videos to find new things so i know what to make sure i look out for and pay attention to
not knowing how to bay park seems like a massive oversight, its what I got tested on and according to my instructor its the most common.
Good luck Ella, you’re a really good driver, you will pass 💕
When the examiner asks you to pull up on the left do you need to apply handbrake?
Yes you should be parked with the handbrake on and in neutral 😊
Hi I’ve got a random question. Let’s say a bus lane sign says (Monday-Friday) and for example (7-10am) then (4-7pm) could I drive in the bus lane on a Saturday at anytime in the day even if the sign only said Monday to Friday
Hey Rene that’s a good question!
Yes you could should drive in that bus Lane because it’s available to you and therefore the left lane. The times advertised is when it’s a bus Lane, if Saturday isn’t advertised you can drive in it on Saturday 😊
@@DrivingSchoolTV thank you I feel confident now all I wanted to know is if I can drive on the bus lane on a Saturday when it shows Monday to Friday
If you're significantly below that or unnecessarily holding up traffic then you'll get marked down
I like seeing driving angles like at 4:05
Nice 😊 if you like these edits check out our latest mock tests!
