In this video I take my 284 Winchester and start group testing the Hornady 180 ELD-Match bullet. The 284 Win is by far my go to cartridge for medium game hunting. ENJOY!

Mate you need to get shooting bags or get the bipod set up properly so you can load up on the stock it’s bouncing on that table when you shoot and it will be affecting your accuracy big time bipods are good but if they are not shot properly they can affect accuracy

Love the 284 i had good success with the 162 grn eld x, I like the match but didn't get to try it before selling it. Thinking of doing what you have done building one on a long action any tips?

The 284 is good but it really likes to be in a long action to be really good. The 162 and 180 grain are similar in ballistic performance but the 180g penetrates deeper on large game. I also find if the 162 eld-m is going too fast it doesn't work all that well in close, using the 180 grain always exits even in close quarters.
My tips would be use the best components, a custom barrel with 1:8.5 twist. Rechambering factory barrels always kills the velocity on them.

Small amount of opening up the clip in mag so the 284 case sits higher but all feeds well yep

Hey Bud, I wouldn't do a 284 win build. I would start with something that has factory ammo like a 308 or 7-08 or even a......6.5 Creedmoor.....here it goes.
