Another great video mark, great to watch. Having seen the amount of rabbits you have it would be fun to see you tackle them at night with the little .22. My wife and i have been fortunate enough to knock down around 180 in the spring with pcp air rifles on our 3 permissions but the last 2 months they have been wipped out by mixi, devastated. Awful to witness 😢.
Great video mark and a nice set up there on the 22 very nice, Certainly plenty of Charlie’s on that hillside mark and a lot of rabbits too. Great viewing and thanks for sharing mate. 👍
I dropped fox over a 100 yards using subsonic ammo and it went right through it side on around the heart area also a standing shot with no tripod also my mates was there that witness it here in Wales, also I would not mind betting that fox you shot was a trapped fox and let out into the countryside as I did not flinch when you called it as normally a fox that lives in the countryside would have to notice as you know, also we have had many foxes that don't respond to calls or anything they will normally just be looking around as if they are one the streets scrounging for food anyway great shot.
Rabbits on my patch wiped by rabbit ebola RVHD. I stop and stare if I see one atm. Mark is a very professional and skilled hunter inc. long range. Always useful to watch and digest what he does and why. You will learn a lot from Mark. Lugging all the camera kit around must be a proper PITA though..... also good to see what the kit he uses does in real life. Those habroks look like they are good. Will be looking at thermal bins soon
Mixi wasn't man made. IIRC it originated in south americas. It was - as you say, deliberately introduced to new geographical areas such as the uk and australia.
@@simonhamilton4562 I ve shot 15 of the blighters thaks got my fac and a223 to deal with them I live in west wales and Im a pretty good shot / thanks for the offer though
@@simonhamilton4562 I have a couple of rifels its just been getting the time to track the buggers back to the den I had my ideas where it was , I think this is a new pack of foxes that have set up a den in the adjoining farm to mine the adjoining farm is a hobby job the owners never there so they have an easy and quiet lie up point
That’s lot of rabbits. You need to get on them too. Next time you have a spare nexus you can send it to me. 😂😂😂. Might see you Sunday if you are going to the game fair.
Nice shooting Mark. You make it look easy. What sort of group size at 50M would your newly acquired 22 be getting to then be able to confidently hit the plates you had out those distances?
When I first got it and tested different ammo, some of them where capable of a single hole at 50m about the size of a 5p and these were 10 shot groups so very impressive 👍
Hi mate I’ve added a link to my website in the description to this video, all details are on there, if there’s anything else you wish to know or to book a day you can message me from the webpage 😉
I cannot seem to get my ballistics calculator built in to my pad ds35 lrf to work. I chrono'ed the bullets I'm using and input all the data from the box other than the speed. I also measued 45 mm scope height. Can Mark or someone please explain what might be happening? I missed two foxes last night at 175 metres because of this. For context, I also hit one at roughly the same distance a couple nights ago.. could there be a big spread in the bullet speed? Using Fiocchi 223 55grain epn rounds ona tikka t3x lite. Thank you.
Double check everything you have entered to ensure it is correct, check zero by shooting a 5 round group, then if all ok check drops at various ranges on paper. Using 55 grain bullets in a 223 zeroed at 100 yards, the drop will likely be less than an inch at 175 yards. In my experience the tikka rifles often perform well with Hornady ammunition so might be worth trying these if the rifle isn’t shooting well 👍 Cheers mark
You can pick up a half decent 22 for probably half that money, but then when you think about it there’s a fair bit more in the way of working parts in an air rifle 🤷🏻♂️
Awesome video, gents!
Always a privilege to watch mark in action. Guy is a class act.
love the back drops you have mark, safe shooting..💯💯💯
Excellent video Mark, and great shooting to, catch you on your next adventure 👍✌️👌

What area are you if you don’t mind me asking. I’m in lincs and rabbits are just coming back😊
Dorset/Somerset border
Mixi is not man made. It was shipped to other continents for the express purpose of wiping out Coney

I can’t believe the amount of rabbits out there, I’m luck to see 5-6 per night 😳
Depends where you are in the U.K. their numbers fluctuate lots

@ShootingCountryTV really appreciate that Mark. I've got an excellent 100 metre zero. I'll look into the Hornadys. Thanks a mil.
130 quid for 22lr.. I pay that for air rifles.
