Thanks, i notice lots of videos and stream on youtube are very quiet or t of streams start yelling when gaming and break your ears or the streamers mic clips and distors, those are all pretty easy to fix those things using compression and limiting. any ways im glad you liked the video..

Hi Danny. I recently set up my twitch / YT channels and started recording all my gameplays (mostly COD). I started learning Davinci Resolve to edit my recordings. I am currently using Streamlabs OBS for streaming and recording. I unfortunately have only 1 pc, so recording, streaming and playing happens on the same pc. I don't have a stand alone mic, so all my audio input and output and mic comes and goes through my HyperX Cloud II headset. I have followed and watched so many vids on how to split your audio channels so that when it comes to editing you recordings I will have the freedom to only use the gameplay audio, or use gameplay audio with discord chats. However nothing I do seem to work as I always end up with 4 different audio channels, but two will have no sound and two will be game and chat/discord audio on one channel. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? For streaming my mic, discord and gameplay are all on track 1. For recording my mic, discord and gameplay only wants to work on track 2. Nothing wants to record on tracks 3,4 and 5 and I'm not sure why. In Global settings the monitoring device is set to my HyperX headset. At Audio tracks 1 is unticked and 2 through to 5 are all selected. I don't know what I am missing or doing wrong here. Your advise will be greatly appreciated please.

I do everything from one PC as well I don't have two PCs set up, I think the only time you need two PCs if you're trying to game on one and max everything out to the max and then you use the second one to stream because streaming takes a lot of juice from your PC so those who want to do everything on top graphics might need two PCs but most of us can get by with one
I'm a microphone guy, I love microphone and audio stuff so I like to have nice mics when possible but hey if the headset microphone sounds good You're good to go if not you can always get something else later
All right so when you go into advanced audio properties everything set up as a sound source should be assigned to an audio channel and you'll see a bunch of little boxes which will be labeled one two three four five and six, let's just say you want the microphone to be on audio track number one you would uncheck two through six and only check one if you want the game sound to be on track two uncheck all the boxes except for track two if you want something else to be on track three you would uncheck all the boxes except for track three for that source
I'm not sure where you're going wrong but generally once you have an audio source set up that's where you choose what track it records to and then in the recording tab you have to tell it you want two tracks or four tracks so there's kind of like two different spots for you have to set that up and one spot you tell it how many tracks you want it to have on the other spot you assign which thing records to what track so advanced audio properties by right clicking your sound source is how you set each thing to its proper track
Hopefully that makes sense so quick rundown, click on the main settings, Go into the recording tab on output and in there you can tell it if you want one two three four five or six tracks. After you tell it how many tracks you want to record right click the little gear next to your microphones decibel meter and then click advance audio properties and set each t thing to the track you want, hopefully that helps

UA-cam was holding your comment for review, just found it, so uploading to youtube will degrade your audio at least a little, it could be youtube's audio compression your hearing or if your uploading something set louder than -14 luffs they might compress it even more to turn it down so its not louder than their loudness standard. so youtube can and will degrade the quality at least a bit unfortunately.. i usually export my videos as a mp4 which is what you want for youtube, i use a true peak limiter to hit the -14 luffs, probably best to be slightly under to make sure they dont do extra compression. when exporting i set the audio to 320kbps, 4800 for the sample rate and use the AAC codec which is what youtube uses and i get descent results. but it's never gonna sound as good as the original i don't think
