We go over linking your kick channel to OBS, creating scenes, adding sources, and then configure the best settings to use for your stream to be crystal clear and HD. Just like the other comments thank you for this!!!! Hubs and i have no desire to stream on Twitch. I just signed up with Kick and livestreaming is a totally foreign but exciting new thing for us to try out. A lot of tutorials i found were overwhelming to noobs like us. But this really helped in understanding a good basic setup without doing a deep dive.
We have done a bit of livestreaming to YT for practice. But OBS is a whole other ballpark. Looking forward to watching your other videos!

Is the Video Output (Scaled) Resolution really your stream resolution? Or is it the resolution in which OBS displays everything in your scenes? I though that the resolutions for Streaming and for Recording was under Settings -> Output -> Streaming/Recording tabs.
So far I've set everything to 1440p (matching my monitor), so everything has been working fine!

Thanks for the video bro, my stream quality is better now, however.. I'm running 936p (1664x936) for quality on stream for the streaming pc, my streaming pc is an Ryzen 5 3600 + GTX 1060 :)
I noticed kick's own help page shows keyframe interval of 1s with nvenc, should i use 1 or 2?
You got any advice or plan on doing any content around multistreaming in OBS using plugins like the MultiRTMP or others? I know you can go pay for a service like Restream and others, but for those that dont want to fork over the additional $ I think it might be beneficial content. In my case, I have a dual PC setup that are both pretty beefy, so resource bandwidth isnt an issue, but I have ran into others that set up the plugin the wrong way, and end up with not 1 crappy quality stream, but mulit crappy quality streams 😂😂. what if you dont got nvidia for the video encoder what should i use?
so i have a 1080p gaming monitor but I play "stretch res" which is 1680 x 1050, so should I change my base (canvas) resolution and Output (scale) resolution to 1680 x 1050 or keep it 1920 x 1080

Hey I’m new to Kick! And I streamed 4 days ago and now it won’t stop streaming. On streamlabs it shows I’m not live but on kKck it shows I’m live and when u click on my live, it’s nothing. Right now it’s says I’ve been live for 110 hours 😅

If you have a crazy upload speed can we put the bitrate higher than 8000 or will that not matter when streaming on kick?

I set up OBS Studio just like this, but my kick streams are only coming out to 720p 60 instead of 1080p 60, my video settings has 1920x1080 in both drop downs, any idea why this might be?
7:54 actually I need to use x264 if I want to have good framerate when streaming. My cpu is so much better than my gpu and I dont even notice any performance drop when streaming on faster, while most games are unplayable when using gpu encoder.
For reference:
CPU: i7-12700KF
GPU: RX 5600 XT

So when i stream on kick my obs settings are exactly like the video, 1080p. My stream on line is perfect and crisp, but when im done streaming i go back and watch the video on kick and the video is really blurry and the video doesn't have a 1080p resolution option, only 720p. Is this happening to anyone else. What am i doing wrong. My setup-1440p monitor, cpu(5800x3D), 6800xt graphics card. Any help is appreciated.

I just wanta say the reason people would add extra delay is if they're streaming a tournament or something like that. some tourney's require a delay to prevent viewers from stream sniping for other competitors

Recently I’ve been getting “ dropped frames” on my OBS. I’ve been streaming everyday for months and then last couple days it hit.
My resolution is stuck at 720 and when I go to put it higher it goes back down to 720p

Basicly kick is now doing what twitch do.. Limit bitrate for new people downscale their stream to 720 and give it all to big streamers..
Their rule to giving quality options is... you have to average a minimum of 3 viewers per stream.

Giving Kick streaming a try and such. It definitely is a whole different thing in comparison to Twitch.
Followed the steps exactly and it seems to have worked. However, when I visit my own Kick channel, I still appear as offline.
The very brief time I've been attempting to stream on that platform does appear to be registering.
Anybody else having this issue? Perhaps I missed a step or am erroring in another way?
I streamed on Twitch no problems, I tried before watching the video but used same steps to put in stream info. No live notification on app or stream and on browser showed no stream either.Edit, it might be as hadn't added the stream info in edit stream info as just doing a test, after that seems to work.
@@stormtrooperdan1150 Edit: Restream indicates that it is broadcasting to Kick, but still the Kick creator dashboard shows offline. Bizzare.
Turns out, I need to keep my Restream window open for the stream to properly go through to Kick via OBS.
For reasons unknown to me, going directly to Kick via OBS just won't work. But hey, found a solution even with all this confusion.

I can’t find the game capture button
Great vid ! Fallow on kick-sub here-like :) I need help. Started too stream on kick before few days, everything was great HD 1080p. Next day max stream resolution was 720p (others working too 480p, 360p and 160p). I didn't touch anything in OBS. Everything was same like last time. Then I google it. People say now if you are new on kick, max is 720p. Other people are new too but they have 1080p. I don't know what is true. There is so little info right now. But I have on kick now when I click on "stream key" there is new option/link "Creat Restream Account", and there is video on youtube, guy saying we need to make restream account. Any help would be great.
Why doesn’t my viewers have a 1080p quality option when viewing? I watch my own stream just to read chat and it’s very blurry and only quality option I have is 720p with that being the highest

720p highest option. My stream is clear and crisp though...I watch my own stream on my phone that's how I know it's clear...it counts toward your views.

On kick your stream will only get bumped to 1080p if you’re LAST stream had 5+ viewers in it.

@@XboxMurda apparently as of last month, kick limited the quality/bitrate for streamers with least viewers(0-1-2-3 im assuming) to prioritize the more popular streamers. so not really much u can really do about it.

This video is completely garbage..he isn’t showing step by step, or what device you need or that only supports kick, just full of misinformation and not being clear
ummm the video title says OBS SETTINGS FOR STREAMING ON KICK. I feel like if it was for anything but kick, he would have titled it different, same goes for "device you need" whatever that means. Also, I am pretty sure hes going into decent detail on each setting he is explaining without getting to far in the weeds, which is about as beginner as your gonna get without drawing it in crayon. You dont have to be a dick to be critical, just saying.
