- One of my favorite quick loops. Beautiful gravel roads, trails, and views of Lake Superior and St Louis River with a little single track and pump track for fun factor. Skyline Parkway, Duluth section of DWP all-weather trail (old Railway that was converted), Spirit Mountain "Happy Camper" trail, Spirit Mountain Pump Track.
A buck tackled me once. Terrifying experience. No more wooded trails in the middle of nowhere for me unless I got an AK-47 strapped on my shoulders.
Those tires sound like a turbocharger spooling up.
Great video! I'm bringing my gravel bike up to Duluth in a couple weeks, where would you recommend looking for fun scenic routes?
IT is rag model 1 or 2 ? Im going to buy rag+1 2021 , cant wait for that beauty 👍, all the best 👍👍
I have the RAG+ 1. Hydraulic brakes etc. Fun bike!!
Nice trail, great bike and riding skill. Thank you for your video as I'm learning how a grave bike can do. May I ask you that do we really need a dropper post in a gravel bike? Especially for chaging riding position on the trail? Thank you in advance.
And one more question please is that is your handle bar in this video the Salsa Cowchippers 46cm (based on your previous video I watched)? Thank you in advance again.
Thanks for watching! Yes I am using Cow Chippers in this video. No I do not have a dropper post. I have a quick release seat collar and I just lower the seat if I know I’m going to be in a long tech section. I put a scratch on seat post so I know where to put it back after. A dropper would be nice at times but unnecessary 90% of the time.
Lovely ( and quite impressive) ride! Thanks for sharing it, really nice vid! Btw......was that a drop??
Thanks Mark! Yep there was a drop near end of video right before going in the pump track.
Hi John, Nice Video 👍 Can I ask what tyres do you have on your bike?
Thanks! Panaracer Gravel King 40cc
@@johnseip Wow! I am not an expert in gravel racing but that was an awesome ride, considering you were on 40mm wide tyres on a bike without suspension, puts the argument to rest if gravel bikes are capable enough on rough terrain. I would say in the right hand, it seems to be pretty capable, of course with its limitations.
Do some external shots, I would want to see you in the air.
I'll try to do that next time. I usually have to squeeze making videos into an hour here and there haha Thanks for watching anyway!
