I think it is worth mentioning that cloth only drops if you have tailoring, so if you are just going for gathering, Tailoring is also a gathering profession now.
The prepatch did have one drawback that I can tell. It got rid of the dragon riding talent for gaining a vigor for each node you farm. I can't be the only one that hates how professions are now. I still don't understand work orders. How am I supposed to sell things that are bind on pickup as a blacksmith? There was NO need for them to change how professions worked for making gold. They added a level of minutia no one was asking for. Also, I don't see waht the problem is with someone zerging the profession to max level in a day or whatever, if that's what they want to/can do. Not me, but whatever. There was absolutely nothing wrong with crafting something and then posting it on the AH. It was easy and simple.
BoP can be purchased by anybody from the person selling it as a craft. If you played the current xpac you would know this already. Lots of in game tutorials right as you start into your adventure in valdraken. Just have to do the quests and actually read the text
Have you tried it at least? Coz it's hard for me to imagine someone to not understand it. Sure it was weird for first 2 weeks. But now this is awesome.
I'd suggest taking some time to look into the crafting order system in depth to get an understanding, since it won't be changing for a while, and it can be really fun! Personally I've never enjoyed professions as much as I did in Dragonflight. For the bind on pickup thing, the other person puts in an order for the item with the materials, you accept the order and craft the item, then the item automatically gets sent to them and you get the fee (along with some free materials from the resourcefulness stat).
engineering made me 0 money in dragonflight. yes i didnt start with it, but it was literally the worst job to make gold with, atleast for me. (i started the EXP with 200k gold and now i am at 2 million.) since the only change to it is the potion bombs, i dont see engineering making a lot of gold. maybe profession equipment. in s1 i made more gold with blacksmithing than with jewelcrafting, despite having lariat. most people wanted as first item a weapon and since it was max ilvl they bought this. since crafting gear is not MAX ilvl anymore, no one wants to buy a weapon first. it is not worth spending the spark for a weapon first anymore. weapon would be the 3rd spark and then only for an offhand for all the DW specs. because of this, i would never go weapon smithing first again. people want their embellishments first and that is usually on rings/necklace or armor. so jewelcrafting will be big again i guess. alchemy is also always a safe bet. entchanting for making crests could also make you money. but all other hard to judge. for inscription to make a lot of money you would need the darkmoon cards to be useful as you mentioned. for tailoring i never bought anything other than a bag and always cheap. a couple of hundred gold. but i guess i am mainly m+ player and not main crafting player. i did all my gold when i posted in trade chat and watched animes in wait for people to write to me.
As in DF profs will suk in TWW too. If the mats cost will be double of the crafted item than fuk it. As casual i dont have 12 hours a day to farm and craft and to play the game. Dont understand why all the complications with profs. Atleat in SL i made enough gold to play wow for free for the next 2 yeras.
Hate profession system . Never got the elemental lariat receipe in 2 years of playing and i played a lot . Losing time killing rares in primal events areas with multiple alts . In AH it sold for millions but i will never pay for something i should have by playing . I can only make rings cause players just want the best elemental lariat for the neck . I have 33 characters and got nearly all professions receipes except this one .i dont understand the purpose of this low drop except to annoy players.
I hate how you can’t just do professions. Blizzard: “fun detected” “quick, add sparks instead of just making ultra rare ingredients that drop from random profession nodes” Blizzard: “That’s brilliant, here’s a raise”
Being as this is just Dragon Flight 2.0. I think ill just go mental on farming and pass on all this BS. Gotta love herb and ore farming on this new and totally crap flying system.

Only Americans and some Canadians pronunciations it that way. It’s the same way some American UA-camrs pronounce Hearthstone and for some reason don’t connect the with Hearth - as in fireplace hearth with the game. you arent the only one, but you are definitely in the minority here.
(i started the EXP with 200k gold and now i am at 2 million.)
since the only change to it is the potion bombs, i dont see engineering making a lot of gold. maybe profession equipment.
in s1 i made more gold with blacksmithing than with jewelcrafting, despite having lariat. most people wanted as first item a weapon and since it was max ilvl they bought this.
since crafting gear is not MAX ilvl anymore, no one wants to buy a weapon first. it is not worth spending the spark for a weapon first anymore. weapon would be the 3rd spark and then only for an offhand for all the DW specs.
because of this, i would never go weapon smithing first again. people want their embellishments first and that is usually on rings/necklace or armor.
so jewelcrafting will be big again i guess. alchemy is also always a safe bet. entchanting for making crests could also make you money.
but all other hard to judge. for inscription to make a lot of money you would need the darkmoon cards to be useful as you mentioned. for tailoring i never bought anything other than a bag and always cheap. a couple of hundred gold.
but i guess i am mainly m+ player and not main crafting player. i did all my gold when i posted in trade chat and watched animes in wait for people to write to me.
Nothing about fishing or cooking 😢
I am like number 912
I hate that stupid crafting orders system
Don't worry Kelani said they'll be a Beginner's Guide to Professions soon so that should help you out. /patshead
Dragonflight professions made me stop using professions. The only way it really pays off is putting in a considerable amount of time on a daily basis.
GOOD LUCK with spamming trade chat lol. RMT floods it to death. Just going to farm and flip.
I hate how you can’t just do professions.
Blizzard: “fun detected” “quick, add sparks instead of just making ultra rare ingredients that drop from random profession nodes”
Blizzard: “That’s brilliant, here’s a raise”
Herrrrrbs, pleTHORa= Erbs, pLEthora
Noice
Just like DF... So professions are still garbage.
Being as this is just Dragon Flight 2.0. I think ill just go mental on farming and pass on all this BS. Gotta love herb and ore farming on this new and totally crap flying system.
The War Within ... you can poilish a turd ... but at the end of the day this sad excuse for an expansion offers yet again , nothing new , nothing creative and clearly highlights Blizzs famous design of , recycle , reuse and recolor and call is " new " ... actually sad how Blizz doesn't even try to hide how bad they have become at lying to their customers . Cringe af ! FACTS !!!!
I don’t want to be a turd. But why does everybody from RuneScape videos to WoW videos say “Herb” 🙃 it’s “Erb” H isn’t pronounced. Sorry just a peeve of mine lol
That’s not true globally. Are you American?
He’s British. In Britain they pronounce the H.
The advent of the internet and the rise of a lot of American gamers has convinced many learning English that “Erb” is the correct English pronunciation the world over. It’s not. Only Americans and some Canadians pronunciations it that way.
It’s the same way some American UA-camrs pronounce Hearthstone and for some reason don’t connect the with Hearth - as in fireplace hearth with the game.
They pronounce it “Herth” which nobody, even Americans, pronounces it like that.
