Used to go with Brann as dps and struggled with level 7 delves at ilvl 590 tp 596. Changed him to healer and have no problems with level 8 at ilvl 597 on a destro lock. Really helped with buffing him as a healer.

Similar experience as a balance druid. I could beat tier 7 delves before but some delves were too hard for me with Brann as DPS. But now using Brann as a healer, I can easily finish any delve on tier 7 and even tier 8. Which considering how in the toilet balance druid DPS is atm its saying something (yeah we have been given a buff this reset but I still suspect we are at the bottom of the meters.)
The 3 biggest tips/adjustments that have made 8+ delves so much easier for me are: 1. As some people have mentioned some of these, there are mechanics in basically every delve that may not be intuitive but can make packs of mobs much easier. Off the top of my head the exploding spores and black blood containers in fungarian and nerubian delves hurt enemies too and can potentially be chained to completely kill whole packs. Also in kobold and nerubian delves ive noticed lots of rooms or spots where you can LoS pesky casters who just sit back and spam spells on you, either interrupting them or at least stacking them up with other mobs. 2. Use your cooldowns liberally. Unless you know you are pulling one regular mob or a group of small low health ones, most pulls will be pretty similar (either an elite/lieutenant or a group of 3/4 regular health mobs) and at the higher tiers each pull could take a minute and you are looking at probably at least 20-30 minutes per delve so you will get plenty of uses out of your 2 minute cooldowns, dont sit on them just until the end. P.s. Dying resets cooldowns like bloodlust so definitely use those once or twice throughout your run on the hardest pulls. 3. There is at least one puzzle, rare spawn, or encounter (reno+mrrgl or loader machine thing) that will give you a buff in each delve and they are all definitely worth the one or two minutes it takes to do them
Man, I wish LoS the caster trash worked consistantly because I can't tell you how many times you try to LoS them and get hit for many hundreds of thousands of damage through the wall 😅
i usually try to pull slow, instead of the whole pack of mobs. if i hit one on the edge i usually only get 1 to 3 to come after me, instead of the whole pack at once.
Taking your time killing mobs is what makes T8 delve farming super easy. I've been doing it since September on my toons with ilvl 600+. To get Brann's campfire to drop easily, if mana user, spam heals on Brann until your mana is approx 50% or if a lock, use your speed run buff until your HP is approx 50%. Having your tier really helps and only do delves with the bonus loot.
Tip for underwater breathing; fishing rods in WoW, like the Kalu'ak rod from Northrend has passive water breathing. That being said it's rep farmed and completely useful for every expac. I use it when I'm not specifically farming fish. The artifact from Dalaran Legion for fishing also works.
There is a way to FORCE Brann to drop a campfire. Respecing from Prot to Ret drains all your mana, Brann detects that you’re low and drops a camp fire. Not sure if that works on other classes (single role like Mage or Lock?)

Thanks, Kelani!
Zekvir is "global event". It happens in ALL active delves at same time. So often when it spawn you can see people typing on Delve channel they got it all at same moment. So you might as well spend your chill time in the middle of T7/8 delve just waiting for spawn.
sounds like it's timed, if that IS the case. still i wouldnt camp for it anytime soon, maybe when i'm in 610 already and just re-running in the hopes of a Speed or Leech proc.
@@bcountry71 you get SOME XP that way, but it's the completion that merits the most, as well as the hidden treasures that give chunks of XP to Brann upon looting.
6:32 This is what my wife and I learned in Torghast. We got to use abilities we'd never dared to use in a dungeon group before. Sometimes it worked perfectly and sometimes it blew up in our face. No matter what, the best part was not dealing with the toxicity when it happened.
I wish there was more content that can be done solo like this, the visions of n’zoth, and the mage tower from legion. Solo content is a fantastic way for players to git gud at playing their class. Not being able to rely on other people like in mythics and raids forces the player to think more strategically and consider options to overcome the challenges instead of getting carried through content thus making it them more competent in group content.
^^^ THIS!!!! And as someone who mains a MM Hunter.... or any "non-META" class/spec, it's nice not getting repeatedly rejected for content when you don't have a regular group to run with....
I put brann on healing and chose the talent that heals you if you'd sustain huge damage. He rescued me twice in the last delve. I dropped to what would have been basically dead and immediately got half my health back. BTW, does anyone else notice that Bran is always in the way when you're trying to click on something? It was racing those spinning candles and trying to click before it came around and killed me, and Brann was right up my ass so I kept clicking on him instead of the object. He's always in the way of all the treasures.
Tanking with a healing Brann I used the Rage idol. Sure it kills him, but the DPS is great. He's easy to rez while mitigating too. Different story underwater. Sometimes he'd die up in the air.
I came back a couple days ago it’s amazing what great gear you can get from these tier 8+ delves. Wow really helping out those solo guys, which I like because to get into the mythic + teams they want you to have a crazy score
I've had backs, and waists and backs, and some waists, and some backs and a few waists. Maxed my vault this week... back, waist.... I still have veteran chest and boots. Gimme chest or boots 😫
As a returning player i really like delvs. I feel like dungeons these days are completely soulless, everybody just wants to rush through it i dont even have time to think or prepare. Doing delvs I can go a lot slower, kind of like the good old days of classic WoW where you would have to take every mob slowly and cc as many creatures in the pack so you wouldn’t die. Back then you would need to sheep, sap, use a freeze trap, etcetera. I miss that slower pace, delvs allow me to have it and not deal with random grumpy players in dungeons who suck the fun out of the game.
6:35 Well said about using class utility and being creative, honestly this is something I whole heartedly agree with. Most of the player base is so used to blowing up everything and not using their class to their full extent. Forcing players to be clever and creative to solo delves is a good thing. And I am sure players will disagree because it's unfair or harder than necessary, to which I say, "that sucks bro."
If you want to make delves easier, use the delves against themselves. In earth crawler mines when the minecarts are rolling down the tracks keep the mobs on the tracks and the carts will kill the mobs for you, as does the torch. In any of the spore delves, the spores when they blow up will damage the mobs. When you have to kill the earthern with the lantern lure and they explode, tank the spiders in with them, and then stun them as the explosions go off. Easy kill of mobs. And the best part yet drop the candle and the poison torch buff. If you leave it on the ground where you are fighting, the circle doesn't dissappear. Pick it up only when you are moving. These tips make delves a breeze. Believe me.
Only yesterday I switched from having him as DPS to running delves with Brann as a healer and using Idol of the Earthmother and Amorphous Relic (playing BM hunter) and that seems pretty decent. Thankfully with the underwater ones I have the Kaluak fishing rod so can breath underwater. I think guides suggesting not to do bountiful delves until level 8 are a bit off. You get decent gear below that and it makes things a little easier having that gear before hitting level 8. Yes the better stuff with shorter track comes from 8 but there's no need to rush for that as the delves aren't going away.
If you really don't care about min maxing gear doing a delve at t7 is the same track as t8 so you'll just need to use a bit more crests and stones to upgrade it. Great way to gear a bit quicker
I have noticed that alot of players want to get everything done to the max and we are not even a month in lol.i have really enjoyed doing the delves. I now know he can heal lol. I didn't read the thing because I thought the dps was for myself not the guy lol.
@@bethgramkow5225 Every day's a WoW school day lol. The bit I hadn't realised is that if you set him as healer he doesn't just heal, he also still does a fair bit of dps. Between leatherworking and delves I feel like I've hit decent gear more quickly than with previous expacs however I've barely touched my huge number of alts. Knowing what I know now I'll just be using coffer keys before level 8 on all of them.
I am not sure if I missed it, but nearly all if not all environmental damaging effects are your best friend in T8's. What hurts you also hurts them, and just as much. For the one in the video, for example, the last boss is surrounded by spores. Each one you detonate with the boss inside does at least 2.5-3mil damage to the boss. The same goes for adds.
Yeah those healing potions changed tier 8 completely for me, I often get to the last boss with nearly all my lives left giving me a good safety net, I've gone from struggling to finish a 6 to clearing 8 no worries.
Brann’s healing, for a hunter with a pet, was already bonkers good. A single one of the pots he drops heals you, AND your pet, and its HoT effect was more than enough to keep my pet at 100%. Pick one pot at a time, and there enough healing between procs of brann throwing out pots to have healing all the time. I’m a super casual, but rank 8 delves have been no problem. Slow, but no problem.
I see videos of people running the delve with the spores and I find it curious that they never use them to blow up the enemies. It doesn't one-shot them but it does decent damage....or did they fix this? I haven't went in one since the patch.
always run brann as a healer, with no enrage timers you are better off going nice and slow than rushing, you can worry about damage dealer brann when you outgear content. you should be going slow anyway so you can notice treasures and buff artifacts, i was going slow and found a mushroom behind a rock that gave me 20% more damage done. of the curios ive used, porcelain arrows and the gathering node curio are the best ive had, every time i passed an ore vein or herb node bran spawned an artifact that gave me 2% of a secondary stat, by the end of my last delf i had like 18% free stats because of how many nodes spawned watch for puzzles, watch for shiny, pick up everything and check every spot even if its not on the main delve path for your storyline.
Seeing this video makes me realize that delves are probably in a borderline unplayable state. My Brann is level 9 and I’m running T8’s deathless normally as a fury warrior, my first was completed at a 570-ish gs which skyrocketed after my first T8. I am not a good player, and recently returned on a whim after a break since WotLK. Seeing a Bran at level 33 while talking about how challenging T8 is just makes me feel like I’m not actually experiencing content, but rather part of some as of yet unknown bug. This game is a joke.
I used three coffer keys on three (level 4) bountiful Delves and received three Radiant Echos. What's the point of wasting a Restored Coffer Key to get an echo to get coffer Key fragments? Where is the better loot?
Why not just respect dps? Druid? Strong. Pally? Strong. Priest? One class ive never played. Shammy? Strong. All classes have good dps spec, no? As pally I tank and dps, not like one makes the other bad unless your gear isn't finely tuned for a mythic raid. For delves/solo/anything but high high end, just dps spec dude? You only play healer? How do you do quests?
You can die as often as you want. Kill everything and after that get the +1 life. Then you have 1 and get the normal loot. Just dont get killed by the endboss.
as Ret i would use Repentance to CC whoever i considered the greatest threat, such as the Court of Night Inquisitors who can cast a nasty immunity shield on a pack of mobs, i would use Repentance and then pull the pack. VERY useful indeed.
Just got done clearing T8 and T9 with my Draenei mage. Racial passive gift of the naruu baby. Heals 40% of my life. 3min CD but it makes a difference. If I rotate that with all my defensives it’s doable.
"Apparently, Brann was bugged, and could have massively increased damage and health, allowing him to carry your delve entirely by himself" Yeah, we loved that feature!
I dont know for sure but I suspect the easiest class to do delves on is BM hunter. I was able to do delves at rank 8 while 2 ppl sat at entrance afk (meaning the delv was more like a rank 11 or higher). I did this starting at 546ilvl on my BM hunters. took around 1 hour 24 min. (required to have brann by a healer too). The only delves I was unable to do at this low ilvl were the ones that had large groups of mobs together. They did far too much dmg and I couldnt get any of them down before theyd kill my pet and come after me even with stuns and CCs. But yea for the rest its basically a matter of trying to single pull mobs one at a time if possible. If not try to ice trap at least one of a group of mobs so u have less to contend with and using branns healing and MD's/feigns effectively for managing heals and agro.
Went into TWW as a solo player. Was fun at first (particularly the lore-rich questing), but in recent weeks I've become increasingly bored, logging in less and less. I don't find delves to be sustainably interesting. Delve instances are largely bland and uninteresting, and it just feels like a chore of pulling trash, killing it, pulling more trash, killing that, until I get to the boss. Even though Blizzard has tried to remedy this by having different flavours of the same delve, the underlying issues (for me) remain. Have dropped TWW this week, and switched to Classic Era vanilla wow. Going back to a world that feel vast and steeped in lore just feels so much better. It might be an old game by today's standards, but it's one of the best games ever made, and has aged like a fine wine.
I would also say dont worry to much about the lives. It says its tied to rewards but it turd to the 2 blue chests at the end i would just try and finish it to get you bountiful chest and get your ilvl so you can make them easier
A question. Does someone else notice general problems with npcs in the last few days? I don't remember it being THAT weird before. Even in follower dungeons and also in delves, npcs act very weird. I think it's a path tracing problem. Sometimes they always start to walk back to a point way before etc. Brann just standing there doing nothing or suddenly leaving and going back half the delve is very common for me. Also this pretty much borked my shadow approach to things, because adds I mind control suddenly go pack half the instance and sometimes come back with 3 other trash packs backing them up. Before I could just control some elite mob and get carried through the instance.
ive been doing 6's on my bm hunter ilvl 580 with bran as a dps. only difficulty has been the last boss but i ended up killing them. will probably try bran on heals, i know it would have helped on the last one i did.
Here i was thinking dps ment me not him. I had no idea he could heal you or put potions down lol. I have only ran 5 delves and one 6 and i died at the very end of the boss fight. Thanks for all the info lol
Great tips, unfortunately I still only have ONE level 2 curio for Brann, everything else is level 1. At 50+ delves done, and at Brann level 39. I'm pretty sure I've only gotten the one upgrade during the first week too; I'm honestly at a loss as to wtf I'm doing wrong that I cannot find a single upgrade.
@@timtrepanier9845 It's weird, I haven't gotten any for the longest time, and then for the last ~15 delves, they started dropping left and right for me as well. Also, not a single rank 2 or 3, instead everything was dropping at rank 4. At 74 delves done, all I'm missing is a couple unimportant ones. Still think there was something weird going on with the droprate.
As a DPS i wait 3 minutes between pulls so i have all my highest burst cooldowns. and it takes like an hour+ per delve. and its random if the boss is impossible or not depending if it does unavoidable aoe damage. it's a massive struggle for newly 80 alts. i been running heroic dungeons over ane over.
@@timtrepanier9845 I did a boss, he was immune to being slowed and he ran at me non stop to smash me, running way faster than me even with abilities. Safe to say impossible boss
I stopped using Brann as DPS after Tier 6. Now doing Tier 8's with relative ease on my Druid. Brann's healing is WAY much better than his DPS. Plus as a healer, he is still putting out some minimal DPS as well as healing you.

Zekvir is "global event". It happens in ALL active delves at same time. So often when it spawn you can see people typing on Delve channel they got it all at same moment. So you might as well spend your chill time in the middle of T7/8 delve just waiting for spawn.
😆
Source/info about this?
sounds like it's timed, if that IS the case. still i wouldnt camp for it anytime soon, maybe when i'm in 610 already and just re-running in the hopes of a Speed or Leech proc.
@@UltimateGamerCC But is there any theorycraft post about it of someone with proofs? like everyone commenting about it at the same time/same delve
@@rodahtnov cant say, when Zekvir attacks my focus is on him not the chat bar.
"Don't kill things you don't have to" is the best tip. There is no Torghast-esque benefit to a full clear.
indeed, so if you see an elite around, you can avoid them unless necessary.
Don't you lvl brann faster the more mobs you kill in the delve?
@@bcountry71 you get SOME XP that way, but it's the completion that merits the most, as well as the hidden treasures that give chunks of XP to Brann upon looting.
i was on my last life and switched to healing brann, holy moly it made all the difference in survivability and i smashed it < 3 thank you so much
When you are near the mob fighting, drop the candle. It only reduces when you are holding it and moving.
6:32 This is what my wife and I learned in Torghast. We got to use abilities we'd never dared to use in a dungeon group before. Sometimes it worked perfectly and sometimes it blew up in our face. No matter what, the best part was not dealing with the toxicity when it happened.
Patch fixed Bran, but banjaxed flight types. Keeps switching back to Dragon flying which is annoying as hell to have to keep swopping it back
Ive done many delves and i havent seen curios drop in over a week. Is it a bug?
Same issue
Think its only bountiful delves
My buddy is reporting the same, but they have been dropping for me. Still unclear.
Bro that heal over time thing with the potions is huge, i had no idea, its always way too hectif so i never noticed the buff.
957 ilvl would be great but I think we gonna have to be happy with 597
gonna have to be, cause we'll be getting a stat squish long before we hit 957. lol
Sssshhhh you're going to get delves changed so the waterbreathing elixirs wont work anymore! Lol
In all seriousness, great video 😊
*laughs in Forsaken*
Healer Bran potions heal your pet too. Makes everything a walkover with a BM Hunter, even more then normal
How in the world did you get so many upgraded curios!!?? I've done tons of T8 delves and hardly seen any. Are they purchasable somewhere?
Just a tip, if you fail your delve, you don't have to run out, right click your player frame and just click Leave Delve and Reset Instances.
I believe it resets automatically if everyone leaves.
Can you reset bountiful delves and kill the mobs again to farm Bran exp?
Good combo. I used that to help me with Zekvir at ? lvl as a Blood DK.
If you really don't care about min maxing gear doing a delve at t7 is the same track as t8 so you'll just need to use a bit more crests and stones to upgrade it. Great way to gear a bit quicker
People who hoard keys baffle me. Why wouldn't you go for an upgrade now that helps you now?
Healing Brann is definitely the way to go. This isn’t M+, you don’t have to do big pulls and millions of DPS.
Thanks for all the great info Kel!
What addon is making your best next ability blink?
Brann’s healing, for a hunter with a pet, was already bonkers good. A single one of the pots he drops heals you, AND your pet, and its HoT effect was more than enough to keep my pet at 100%. Pick one pot at a time, and there enough healing between procs of brann throwing out pots to have healing all the time. I’m a super casual, but rank 8 delves have been no problem. Slow, but no problem.
at @14:10 your Paladin wears a cloth helmet. How did you transmog Cloth armor type though being a Paladin?
It's a hood through traders vendor
Nice tips! Delving definitely makes me think twice in a few situations. Instead of just Demon Hunter go fast
I see videos of people running the delve with the spores and I find it curious that they never use them to blow up the enemies. It doesn't one-shot them but it does decent damage....or did they fix this? I haven't went in one since the patch.
Can you ask a lock to buff ya or run with a lock for underwater breathing
As a note, if you want to spawn the campfire on command, brann will instantly drop it if you go under 50% mana.
10:00 it drops down to 957 ilvl gear?
Thank you.
I didn't realize the potions were a HoT. That along with the buff to healing should make 8's much more doable on alts who can't heal.
Is there a way to make him pick better spots for throwing down his healing potions?
Does anyone know if you can drop aggro during the boss fight w/ invis as a mage? Or will it reset the entire boss fight?
always run brann as a healer, with no enrage timers you are better off going nice and slow than rushing, you can worry about damage dealer brann when you outgear content.
you should be going slow anyway so you can notice treasures and buff artifacts, i was going slow and found a mushroom behind a rock that gave me 20% more damage done.
of the curios ive used, porcelain arrows and the gathering node curio are the best ive had, every time i passed an ore vein or herb node bran spawned an artifact that gave me 2% of a secondary stat, by the end of my last delf i had like 18% free stats because of how many nodes spawned
watch for puzzles, watch for shiny, pick up everything and check every spot even if its not on the main delve path for your storyline.
It's even easier to reset a delve. Just right-click your portrait and click "Leave Delve".
as someone mentioned below, can quickly reset your delve by right clicking your portrait and do "leave delve"
A lot of great tips in this video! Also, many wonderful tips in the comments as well so be sure to read the comments.
i have been using sheep and invis on my mage so much esp in the higher delves. unfortunately brann's stupid monkey does not respect the sheep.
Is there a point in running the delves if not bountiful when trying to get gear?
I guess you get upgrade tokens and gold?
Another great video; thanks again
I have the WOTLK fishing pole that says "grants underwater breathing". Doesn't work in the Delve. I have it equipped in my fishing journal.
Because that is NOT equipped, an item is equipped if it's in a gear slot, put it in the weapon slot
I've been using stealth potions a lot on my warrior. The Potion of the Hushed Zephyr from DF are pretty cheap and extremely helpful, 18sec stealth
I liked that bug! Brann was a great way to get carried LOL!
Actually good tips! Thank you
6:42 Kock-Up is the most OP CC there is. Nine months is more than enough time to get as far away from the mob as possible.
I used three coffer keys on three (level 4) bountiful Delves and received three Radiant Echos. What's the point of wasting a Restored Coffer Key to get an echo to get coffer Key fragments? Where is the better loot?
thanks for the video!
And if you're in a Healer spec - wait for next expansion.
Just dont get killed by the endboss.
you are limited to 5 lives, exhaust those and you lose the Bountiful Chest, which is the whole point of doing Bountifuls.
@@UltimateGamerCC you never got the extra life?
@@timtrepanier9845 since commenting i have, might've been a bug at first, or merely didnt pay attention cause i wasnt dying. lol
as Ret i would use Repentance to CC whoever i considered the greatest threat, such as the Court of Night Inquisitors who can cast a nasty immunity shield on a pack of mobs, i would use Repentance and then pull the pack. VERY useful indeed.
Same.
couldnt find Sprinkle Noggenfrogger - thanks for this video
Insane how they made Brann stop leveling in the 30s so he wouldn’t help people get better gear faster. Always a hamster wheel for Blizz.
When you say dont kill everything doesnt thsy mean bran gets less exp?
Delves are super fun. Spam them on my shadowpriest with Brann in healing spec.
Bring consumables, cavedweller’s delight, health potions, health stones (if possible), food, flask, and most importantly, drums for heroism.
cant hurt to have those things, i'd also add Stones/Oils
Just got done clearing T8 and T9 with my Draenei mage. Racial passive gift of the naruu baby. Heals 40% of my life. 3min CD but it makes a difference. If I rotate that with all my defensives it’s doable.
Nice Tips, thx! 😊
Very helpful, yet at the same time underscores that i don't know what I'm doing.
"Apparently, Brann was bugged, and could have massively increased damage and health, allowing him to carry your delve entirely by himself"
Yeah, we loved that feature!
I want to replace brann with meatball from the legion expansion. I loved running around with meatball the gnoll 😆
I was able too solo a tier 5 on my mm hunter , I was shocked lol tried tier 6 but too much work.
ive been doing 6's on my bm hunter ilvl 580 with bran as a dps. only difficulty has been the last boss but i ended up killing them. will probably try bran on heals, i know it would have helped on the last one i did.
Here i was thinking dps ment me not him. I had no idea he could heal you or put potions down lol. I have only ran 5 delves and one 6 and i died at the very end of the boss fight. Thanks for all the info lol
Healer brann has saved me so many times. He still does dmg even as healer
Thanks for the video
I completed a t9 delve under water the entire time, before I heard any of this was an issue. It was painful with many deaths.
Great tips, unfortunately I still only have ONE level 2 curio for Brann, everything else is level 1.
At 50+ delves done, and at Brann level 39.
I'm pretty sure I've only gotten the one upgrade during the first week too; I'm honestly at a loss as to wtf I'm doing wrong that I cannot find a single upgrade.
seems like i have got 1 or 2 for every delve ive done, definitely the bountiful ones.
As a DPS i wait 3 minutes between pulls so i have all my highest burst cooldowns. and it takes like an hour+ per delve. and its random if the boss is impossible or not depending if it does unavoidable aoe damage. it's a massive struggle for newly 80 alts. i been running heroic dungeons over ane over.
just pull slow. i can usually pull mobs on the edge of a pack and only 1 to 3 get pulled, not the whole pack.
@@timtrepanier9845 I did a boss, he was immune to being slowed and he ran at me non stop to smash me, running way faster than me even with abilities. Safe to say impossible boss
Dude I want them to add brann as a tank!! That would be so cool
I stopped using Brann as DPS after Tier 6. Now doing Tier 8's with relative ease on my Druid. Brann's healing is WAY much better than his DPS. Plus as a healer, he is still putting out some minimal DPS as well as healing you.
