Here I thought the crafting order thing from patreon's was real people and was wondering how to place an order where you only offer some of the resources, and deemed it a waste atm for my own mats when I'm trying to level it.
25:20 "That usually only happens with guild and personal orders" naw man, in my experience there was almost always a big set of scam orders that provide no materials and have a very low commision, usually for sought after secondary crafting reagents or consumables.

Double gathering herbalism mining here. It's not easier it takes about 2 hours EVERY week to get the knowledge for both profs. It took that long of constant gathering for the entire time you need proff knowledge. I have both fully capped but it never decreased in time until blizz reduced it in season 3 when it went to a little over an hour every week. It also feels really bad still looting rank 1s and 2s with an absolutely filled prof knowledge tree.
Would be cool to get a video that shows intros into each profession. What are the professions and what do they entail? This video has me feeling even more lost.
Not gonna lie, I'm even more overwhelmed after watching this video. I love leveling up professions, well I did. I last leveled up professions in Shadowlands and wasn't a huge fan of that either but this new system is so confusing and over loaded with bloat I just don't want to bother with it which sucks cause that kind of runes the game. Guess I'll make all my toons gatherers and try to wrap my head around that weird system and AH it all. I just don't get any of this. I've watched so many videos this week on TWW professions and I feel more lost after each video. What happened to the days I just had to gather two or three herbs and could make a pot and put it on the AH? You're going on and on about this item and that item and this knowledge and this and that and so on it's too much my brains fried.
Great video thank you. I've really enjoyed both crafting and gathering professions in Dragonflight so will do the same in TWW. It's a bit of a headache at first but worth it in my opinion.
The guide is so helpful.Thank you for doing it. I wish I would have saw it before I started leveling my professions in early release. I find the process super confusing and extremely time consuming. I think I'm going to skip leveling my professions and just gather and sell the material . i'm not sure why they have gone to this complexity in professions, but it's just too much for me. Two expansions in a row that i'm going to pass on profession.
i hated the change, i wish it stayed simple, mainly because i spent the time to just make potions and food for myself. sometimes sold a little to make a tiny profit
I will go with two gathering professions for each of my character during the level phase. Then I'll switch to Alchy/Enchanting with my Main Character and one character (maybe dh) will only be for farming ressources
Question: How do treasures that give knowledge points figure into the weekly knowledge cap and catch up mechanic? Does knowledge from treasures sit on top of the weekly hard cap or are they figured into it?
Are you going to go over each profession knowledge points abd which one is best to start with? I really wish they would allow us to earse when we make a mistake lol
I like how WoW crafting can literally be the entire game for someone if they just want to spend there time crafting. For me though, it’s dual gathering and enchant / alchemy with 0 crafting for raiding 🙈
Exactly this system are for those that either only make gold and not interested in playing out other parts of the game or have so much rl time on thier hands they can put into it.
Spent so much time putting in personal work orders to make profession equipment for my alts because mailing them to myself was out of the question now.
You can tho, just not the highest end crafts that require a spark. In DF I made tons of gold off shovels alone. Alchemy and enchanting are better set up to use the AH for gold making.
@@williamcolgin1987 why should that make a difference? You used to be able to craft the highest level gear and sell it. There was absolutely no need to change that.
It doesn’t have to make sense to you it makes enough sense for them to put it in the game. Learn the new system or don’t use. Pick one move on. The human complain rate is astronomical these days.
The only thing I want is to be able to be entirely self sufficient if I so choose by having different professions on my alts and have them help me get the gear I want. It should be an option if I want it. Didn't hear in the video if you mentioned that being an option or not but that is the main reason I stopped bothering with professions in DF.
Use your Warband bank, you can throw your crafting resources you got on a gathering alt and your crafting alt can craft using those resources. You don't even need to take them out of the bank to do it
@@firstamerican7450 That is a step in the right direction but I also want to craft pieces and send them directly to my alts, none of this binds when picked up nonsense immediately after crafting an item.
@@TheKvaran Yeah the bind on pickup change was super unnecessary, it didn’t used to be like that. I think that is something they should rethink so it would allow crafters to list their high level stuff on the auction house again. Plus jumping through the hoop of having to put in a personal work order for yourself is definitely not convenient at all haha
@@firstamerican7450 just realized I can send work orders from my alts to the character who can make the item I want. Had no idea personal work orders worked that way as well, never even occurred to me to try it. Problem solved!
Everyone is leveling from scratch in war within. there are no requirements to level previous expansions' crafting levels in a proffesion to start using it in TWW (dragonflight was the same,)
Say if I have all the mats as an engineer, and want the highest gun/bracers, would I just place an order if I don't have concentration or have crafted it before?
I know we're on a new expac, but having to reslot all of our profession equipment anew is ridiculous. Should be same system same tools of the trade. Every expansion behind it had a herbalism spade, skinning knife, pick axe, etc. It's akin in the real world to go out and buy a new 10K-15K mechanics tool set, or carpentry tools, electrician tools, whatever every two years. So, to tweak one big item deep into the xpac for yourself, it just isn't worth it. But, you know what I'll probably being doing it with everyone else. EDIT: Upon another thought, the weekly for Artisan's Consortium, the profession equipment crafting orders kinda drives quests for alts, if you can't find something to craft in public orders. Blizzard winks and points a gun hand finger at me.
It seems like they want to limit the amount of crafters that will bother to level up this system, and just have most people simply take up gathering professions and supply them with materials.
Thanx for new great video and guide. Is there a profession that will benefit from a class? Thinking about trying engineering in TWW but don't know if there is a class which is good for the profession. Don't think about the other way around that the class will benefit from the profession.
Engineering seems to be useful for all classes, but depending more or less on your gameplay. Not sure if engi will be better on any classes but maybe if you paired it with mining, then either a druid for gathering in flight form or a pally for faster mounted form maybe? Not sure if it even still works that way now. Engi has lots of fun and useful items tho to play with plus they make tools for other profs which sell well.
@@kozmosis3486 Thank you. Probably take 1 of the toons that I take in to TWW. Think it is mostly gonna go solo with it and was thinking either druid or pally with mining for easier farming. Thinking about the mount coming for crafting also ;)
Thank you so much for this. I hated the new professions because I couldn’t understand it and I feel like there’s no tutorial for how in-depth it is With your explanation I think this is a great system!
I would guess that it will be like it has been for many expacs, where the new prof content is learned in the new zones. Actually I think it might have been that way forever.
question do you know how many time you can skill a craft from orange to green like is it 12 times 15 times 30 times etc before it goes from orange to green or green to none.?
Great video very helpful, but sigh....I didn't like DF crafting system before...not gonna like this time around either. I'm just gonna farm and maybe concentrate on a couple of recipes to make gold. When Blizz makes a crafting system that is not either dumb down easy or one I have to pay attention to every little nuance, then maybe I will engage more. There is so much to do in the game I have to accomplish - oh, and then there's that rl thing that I have to engage in that keeps me from bothering too much with this. It's all about time. But with all that said, I will slog through it somehow like I almost did in DF. That rng for recipes was a killer - how many bottles did you have to fish up? Never got it finished ..
Edit: I need to shush and try it with some of the changes. I guess I am critical because I just didn't have time to craft orders for others and getting some of the recipes was frustrating. I have a completionist heart and..well you know how it goes...
only better, no having to farm Humanoids for KP Catchup, Patron Crafting Orders for KP Catchup instead and rather than having to rely on RNG Procs, you can get Rank 5 spending a special resource that charges with time.
Just a strict improvement over Dragonflight. Inspiration was dumb so most recipes being guarantee-able is great and concentration is a nice replacement
you open with the P key your profession screen. in chat you click like when you want write then left click on the profession icon in the profession screen it appears now in the chat as a clickable icon
Help 😮 do l have to have all my ore and gems 💎 in my bag ? Because a recipe will ask for something I see it in my bag and then it doesn’t use it. Can I put all my gems in my bank? Can I put all of my ore in my bank and still craft in front of the table? Thank you.
They pushed the reset button? OMG!!! Blizzard sees wow as just the last patch! They stole dragonriding from GW2,why cant they steal how GW2 does professions as well?!
I absolutely hate the new professions. Too complicated (with 3 levels of mats), to expensive (with 3 levels of mats), and takes up to much bag/bank space (with 3 levels of mats). Somebody at bliz is way over-thinking professions.
I absolutely love it. I personally don't find it too complicated and it gives me something to progress through since I haven't been able to raid for quite some time
If you pick Herbing a Mining would you have to swap those 2 gear parts before each time you swap to the other profession. Like im flying i see a node and its a herb have to put on the 2 herbing profession gear items. Then when I see a mining node would have to swap the 2 gear pieces that are for mining. Seems kinda annoying but maybe can just use a gear swap macro.
nope, each profession has its own 3 gear slots sperate of any other gear, as you don't really wear them like your normal gear, they only have an effect on the profession they are for when you are using that one profession eg; when you pick a herb your getting the stats from your 3 herbing gear items only not your 3 mining ones and vise-versa,
I wonder what they're going to do when the market crashes (like in literally every xpac) and the only real way to level professions is through an empty crafting tab or RNG raid bs again?
Can i level more than two professions or do I lose any progress I made when I switch to another one? I want to start with two gathering ones, to prepare for max level while making some gold.
@@alsardar2740 but my question was in regards to progression, lets say I have skinning and mining now at maxed. Do I lose all progression with skinning if I swap it for Engineering?
You need one of the soulbound sparks on your main to obtain one piece of epic crafted gear, but it doesn’t matter who crafts it. If your main is a blacksmith and you want an epic crafted sword, you just craft it yourself using the spark. If you alt is the blacksmith, you create a private crafting order using the spark and name your blacksmithing alt in the order. The alt does the “labor” while your main provides the spark. Order complete, now you have one less spark on your main but a shiny new epic crafted sword.
I did play dragon flight, casually, and i DID nope out of professions because it looks so overwhelming.. I am trying my best this time to get into it.. But damn i don't like the UI..
Bro u are talking about the reasons why we are looking for this video. Dude, u dont have to say my thoughts out loud just talk about the profs fml not wether i played dragonflight or not
With a new expansion they had the chance to make professions better but instead they chose to double down on the most horrendous version of professions we've ever had. Welp, another expansion where I won't bother wasting my time with professions.
An excellent example how a complex system does not equal a smart system. Let alone noob-friendly. Whoever thought this was a great change should stop working at Blizzard.
I dont disagree. Gathering is pretty relaxing and if you're fast, posting gathering materials early on is a great way to make money fast beginning of xpac

Just for confirmation, crafting orders are limited for pj or account? tnx
Can you earn profession skill points from the Darkmoon Faire like in Dragonflight?
So Dragonflight professions, got it.
only better, no having to farm Humanoids for KP Catchup, Patron Crafting Orders for KP Catchup instead and rather than having to rely on RNG Procs, you can get Rank 5 spending a special resource that charges with time.
lol?
Better than vanilla professions, no?
@@SebiBubble i miss the simplicity of Vanilla professions. I miss Vanilla in general, really hope they do another FRESH soon
Just a strict improvement over Dragonflight. Inspiration was dumb so most recipes being guarantee-able is great and concentration is a nice replacement
It was so dumb, people didn't understand why they had to resubmit the orders to "proc" inspiration either.
How do I share my catalog in chat? I’ve seen people do this and I missed out in DF I think.
you open with the P key your profession screen.
in chat you click like when you want write then left click on the profession icon in the profession screen it appears now in the chat as a clickable icon
What is the new Patron tab for?
Help 😮 do l have to have all my ore and gems 💎 in my bag ? Because a recipe will ask for something I see it in my bag and then it doesn’t use it. Can I put all my gems in my bank? Can I put all of my ore in my bank and still craft in front of the table? Thank you.
They pushed the reset button? OMG!!! Blizzard sees wow as just the last patch!
They stole dragonriding from GW2,why cant they steal how GW2 does professions as well?!
like how garbage gw2 is? no thank you..
I absolutely hate the new professions. Too complicated (with 3 levels of mats), to expensive (with 3 levels of mats), and takes up to much bag/bank space (with 3 levels of mats). Somebody at bliz is way over-thinking professions.
Once you figure it out it won't be so tough. It's pretty easy actually.
I absolutely love it. I personally don't find it too complicated and it gives me something to progress through since I haven't been able to raid for quite some time
I've been on SoD til yesterday, so I have no clue about anything profession related since original Cata. It's highly confusing.
If you pick Herbing a Mining would you have to swap those 2 gear parts before each time you swap to the other profession. Like im flying i see a node and its a herb have to put on the 2 herbing profession gear items. Then when I see a mining node would have to swap the 2 gear pieces that are for mining. Seems kinda annoying but maybe can just use a gear swap macro.
nope, each profession has its own 3 gear slots sperate of any other gear, as you don't really wear them like your normal gear, they only have an effect on the profession they are for when you are using that one profession eg; when you pick a herb your getting the stats from your 3 herbing gear items only not your 3 mining ones and vise-versa,
@@saturndragoon thanks for your reply thats great. Right now im thinking of doing herbs and tailoring so i can get cloth drops to sell off kills.
are you drunk?
the patron orders I have do not reward any knowledge points... am I doing something wrong?
egg yolks this is salami
I was like huh? Why does that sound so familiar lol. Said it to myself a couple times then was like oh yeah! Funny af!
I wonder what they're going to do when the market crashes (like in literally every xpac) and the only real way to level professions is through an empty crafting tab or RNG raid bs again?
They added an personal NPC crafting tab that solves that problem. You can fully level up without any public or private orders.
I actually got excited about the Ragnarok but its not available in Czechia 😭😭😭😭
Enchanting loses out again.
Inscription wants a word 😂
Can i level more than two professions or do I lose any progress I made when I switch to another one? I want to start with two gathering ones, to prepare for max level while making some gold.
You can get only 2 main proffesion. But you can take cooking and fishing on top of them
@@alsardar2740 but my question was in regards to progression, lets say I have skinning and mining now at maxed. Do I lose all progression with skinning if I swap it for Engineering?
I did this in dragonflight and I lost all my points, I dunno about ww tbh
If I understand correctly there's no point for making alts crafting your main's gear because he will be limited by sparks, right ?
You need one of the soulbound sparks on your main to obtain one piece of epic crafted gear, but it doesn’t matter who crafts it. If your main is a blacksmith and you want an epic crafted sword, you just craft it yourself using the spark. If you alt is the blacksmith, you create a private crafting order using the spark and name your blacksmithing alt in the order. The alt does the “labor” while your main provides the spark. Order complete, now you have one less spark on your main but a shiny new epic crafted sword.
@@sphodros01 thanks, it's clear !
Mining herb on my main see ya
Do you think that they made this complicated so people would buy Gold for cash rather than do the professions?
Too much gambling and paywall for the non gatherer professions
I did play dragon flight, casually, and i DID nope out of professions because it looks so overwhelming.. I am trying my best this time to get into it.. But damn i don't like the UI..
Bro u are talking about the reasons why we are looking for this video. Dude, u dont have to say my thoughts out loud just talk about the profs fml not wether i played dragonflight or not
LOL when I search public orders its always empty.
Feel like this video needs more ads, 5 isn’t near enough for any single video.
With a new expansion they had the chance to make professions better but instead they chose to double down on the most horrendous version of professions we've ever had. Welp, another expansion where I won't bother wasting my time with professions.
Yay. Just what our bagspace needs... 3 versions of EVERY SINGLE RESOURCE for every expansion from now until they fix this broken ass crafting system.
3588 Upton Divide
An excellent example how a complex system does not equal a smart system. Let alone noob-friendly. Whoever thought this was a great change should stop working at Blizzard.
Who ever invented this system should have their coffee priveledges taken away as punishment.
Yep. Still obnoxious and annoying from DF. Guess I'll still be dual gathering again
Engineer in TWW it is a let down.
Bad teleporter.
Meh tinker tools for gear slots.
absolutely hate this recent professions gameplay
Blizzard mesed up crafting imo! I understand the reason behind it, but it doesn't work. THE PRICE OF MATERIALS IS MORE THAN THE PRODUCT!!!!
Ali River
Welp another expansion just being a gatherer...
your loss.
What do you mean. If you're too dumb to do production professions now, what makes you think you will do it next expac?
Wow, that sounds boring as fuck lol
Publicly admitting you are lazy, interesting 🤔
I dont disagree. Gathering is pretty relaxing and if you're fast, posting gathering materials early on is a great way to make money fast beginning of xpac
Was all this really necessary Blizzard 🤣
I’ve never done professions ever…😅
theyre 100% useless. complete waste of time and materials.
because idiot devs.
Video starts at 4:20
A 4 min and 20 sec intro is kinda ridiculous dude
this is just too confusing. why did they do this
