Crows are really smart animals. I used to feed crows back at my previous home. They would catch the food if I throw at them. Really fun. They would also eat from my hand. When They were not hungry and if I still give them food, they would take the food and hide it somewhere in the trees and cover them with leaves just to save it and eat later. Sometimes I would chill at my balcony and watch them teasing and disturbing street cats by poking the cats tail or back. Lol. And i would laugh watching that. They are not a common pet as a bird but definitely a unique one. Peach seems like a good bird.

Amazing that Peach responds to suggestions from Kulike, like here at 4:50 Peach is able to change focus from Dennis to his dish of food when she suggests it. CORVIDS are Uber intelligent

Awwww. He’s a happy little crow for sure! My little Roy is a late developer and is only just learning to fly properly at 6 ish weeks old. He’s loving cucumber and cat meat in jelly, and I’m slowly introducing new foods to him, by your recommendation and he’s really happy. He’s still pecking me like mad, but I realise now it’s his way of asking for the back of his head to be stroked, as when I do he falls asleep almost instantly once he gives in and let’s you pet him properly. He does still like to be fed and gapes for his food like a fledgling, but he’s starting to learn how to take the food in his beak back. I think being as my crow is a carrion crow from UK, that he’s perhaps not as tame as your American crow and has slightly different characteristics but he’s certainly beginning to settle in my care and I use your family of birds as a yard stick to see how my Roy is doing. Thanks for all the tips and videos. They really have saved my little crows life as without having found you, I’d be lost and would have had to hand him in to a wildlife centre. Now I know I can take care of him and keep him happy, I’m much happier and more confident in taking good care of him and learning about him and funny little ways. You two are saints. Honestly!

Yes, Peach is always getting very excited when Dennis is coming home! He is still doing his little dance and fluttering wings as a greeting!

Peach is the most loveable crow. After seeing what you're feeding him, now I want to feed the wild crows that live around my house, and I know what to feed them. I have heard that they are smart enough that they expect a regular feeding schedule.
Kullike also feeds some wild crows when she goes for her bike rides. They don't come to our yard unfortunately. If they come to your own yard, it is easy and fun to feed them on regular schedule! Thanks for watching, Garry!

My crow friend has a board with some holes drilled in it where we stuff treats to be pulled out for entertainment. Maybe Peach would like one too. Treats that fit well are things like blueberries and little pieces of beef. It's great to watch Peach having fun and I think you're superb crow parents.
That's a good idea! We'll try to arrange something like that for him! We have been thinking of making little shelves for him in his cage where he could put his food and toys. He is always trying to put them on his perches but they often fall and go to the bottom of the cage where he can't get them. He is amazingly good at catching them from the air when they start falling, though! :-) Thanks for watching!

Crows will eat anything. They're not too fussy. I work at an elementary school and our kids drop food and the crows swoop down and pick it up. Crows love people because they feed them so well.

Our crows go to sleep usually around 9-10 PM and get up around 9-10 AM. Yes, Peach is always happily fluffing his wings to greet us when we come home! Thanks for watching!

Maybe this has already been answered in past videos, if so I'm sorry for asking again. Reference Peach being protected from mosquitos, why is this, and how do wild crows deal with mosquitos?
Mosquitoes could spread West Nile virus and this is very dangerous for all corvids. We have Peach vaccinated against it, too, but just in case, we still try to limit his exposure to mosquitoes as much as possible. Thanks for watching, Mary!

In cold weather he is outside when it is sunny. His gazebo is pretty rainproof, so he stays there sometimes when it is raining. He doesn't like it much outside when it is windy, though :-) Thanks for watching!

They are probably curious. or usually in the breeding season they are protecting there nest but that's in the spring.

Have you guys ever feed Peach an actual peach?
Yes, we have offered him all kinds of fruit. He doesn't care much for them. The only fruit that he likes is watermelon and cherries!
Maybe that's why he gave Cherry that name.

try to bring some beef crow like to eat a lot of meat but should be cooked
Peach gets a little unprocessed meat almost every day. The vet said mealworms are better source of protein for him though. Thanks for watching!
yeah I don't think out in the wild the meat gets cooked too often, LOL
