Very interesting. Imo I think this is why pure creatives do well in the long run because they aren't chasing the numbers they just want to "make". They'll never be discouraged by the result of the videos performance. So they continue to create which eventually leads to the success. Great podcast, thanks for sharing guys.

There's a danger in that: you can keep on creating something that's perceived "bad" by the audience. Ofcourse the artist can love their creations but will it bring them bread on their table? Chasing numbers is a bad idea for sure. Wanting to keep on getting better at creating is a good one
@@smilebringergames Why not create for the purpose of connection? Isn’t that what the purpose of art is, after all? To express yourself and connect with other humans. Consequently, efficiently and successfully connecting with other humans brings bread to the table because you’re inherently creating value for others.
@@cloudmafia of course. There's many kinds of artists. Though you'll have to find your audience. There's plenty of audience too. Not all audiences are able to upkeep you though. If you're creative enough you'll find a way.

This is so important and SO commonly overlooked.
And I am still stuck at Response stage for 4+ years. Anyone got any experience on how to keep going even if your mind and body doesn't want to. I plan to make a lot of good videos, but I never make them because of fear or rejection
The reward for every artist is to express themselves through their work. The reward for a commercial person is simply the currency outcome. Very simple.

The issue is that people expect that their craving to be rewarded. Not everyone’s inspiration will actually resonate with the world. And assuming that being true to yourself will lead to external validation is very unlikely.
So you have to really be accepting with the idea that what you’re doing is really for yourself
