definitely also headcrabs in half life 2 (gets hit by tons of props doesn't die but poison ones do)
It's back might be armored but it's belly isn't. It died because of the pressure strain put on it's belly.
From the look of thing, you can actually grab thing and throw at them to kill them.

It's official, not being able to catch a headcrab in a bucket it the biggest shortcoming of this game
Yeah I wish it were possible. It'd make a good achievement too, if so. :D

picking them up Boneworks crablet-style and jamming them onto combine is the biggest shortcoming
Maybe use a bigger bucket? Also what about those barrels with open lids?
I love how valve still has the ability to do invisible tutorials. First with the headcrabs on Part 1, where you almost see them goofy bouncing and laugh nto knowing later on they are kind of a threat, then in this Part 3 where the Electrical dog possesses a guy in the safety behind a fence to show you how the mechanics works. Valve is stilla ble to make great games.
But most of the tutorials were basically here are some zombies behind a gate, shoot them or watch them do something. There's no pop up granted but even by the second time you see it it's clear that it's meant to teach you something. Not as seamless as some of their other games if you ask me
Uncle Chair I liked the barnacle and zombie introductions in HL: Alyx.
But yeah in this game, Russell straight up explains so many things to the player and there are also pop ups (which I believe can be turned off).

So far, this is the most entretaining playthrough that i have found, keep it up man!
You know whats amazing? The Half Life Lore is so rich that instead of going like "Oh well that enemy is not really in the HL2 lore section..." I go: "Yea that thing probably evolved during its time on earth, it had to".
Those are creatures from other dimensions, there is probably thousands and thousands of species that end up on Earth. Every new Half-life game can introduce entirely new creatures.

@@Gayd1 That's true, but almost everyone has less healthy, young, or elderly loved ones, and they are at much higher risk. Besides, even if everyone on earth only had that 4% chance of dying, that would be 280 million people if it managed to infect the whole world.
This doesn't mean we should panic or assume the world will end, but it does mean we should follow safety advice strictly, social distance, wash hands, if not for yourself, for the sake of people who are at high risk.

... Oh wow, those Lightning rays are really well designed. They actually feel like a creature, spraying that electric gas whenever startled. And the audio cues for whenever it burrows into a corpse is really well done, too. (Not to mention the initial "Oh, shit!" factor when it first happens.) And the clever design of its heart(?) dropping from the disintegrating corpse and the entire environment around you making you realize that they might be able to be used as a power cell is genius.
... Man, am I hoping there's more from Valve to come in the future.

Valve really outdid themselves with those lightning dogs. I don't think I've ever seen a video game enemy that felt quite that alive before

The highlight of this episode for me was Harry starting to correctly use the pistol's bullet reservoir.
One thing is for sure .. Everybody has enough toilet paper during the alien occupation

valve are focused on VR right now, half life alyx has some stuff to prevent motion sickness which wouldn't work well with portal. i don't think they'll be working on it any time soon

Honestly the story ended perfectly in Portal 2, so we don't need Portal 3. I wish they made a prequel game to know way more of the Cave Johnson era.
It won't happen and it shouldn't happen. The ending of Portal 2 was a perfect conclusion to the story. And if not for the story, what else is there to do? More puzzle elements? I mean, come on.

From seeing the stuff that happens in this video, the glitchy boxes and you falling through the evelator, I'd say there's still a bit of bugs to be patched out. Other than that this game is great.
