just watched 4 videos before heading off to the jeweler, your videos were so helpful and informative, learned more in 1 hour than in 1 month, thank you for taking the time to organize and deliver the information in an easy to understand format 5 star channel
My deceased Wife was a Chicago Jeweler, she always used to say that Cut was the most important part of a diamond & that hand cutting was the best. Hand cutting 40 years ago was a dying process but no idea of what’s happening now. I HAD the best place to buy Diamonds and Gold, a Pawn Shop near the Board of Trade. My prize purchase was a 24K St Christopher’s Medallion with a 18k insert to hold a chain in the Original Tiffany’s box for $60. I learned years later it was from a Bishops big Collection where his heirs brought everything he had in Gold etc. there for sale. Recent Appraisal $4,000

great substance inspired by this subject, it is something extremely broad this subject of precious stone cuts a debt of gratitude is in order for the data companion
Thank you for this very informative video. I was wondering however, in this day and age of CNC machines and technology, should we not be able to have a "perfectly" cut diamond each and every time regardless of size ? I certainly understand back in the day before the technology when diamond cutting was a very manual process and it resulted in some better and some worse cut diamonds depending on the skill of the cutter. But in today's world, I would think the technology is there for making exact cuts each and every time.
Hey @Ciscoho When a diamond producer buys a rough diamond, the main goal is to maximize profit out of it. The seller can reduce cost by hiring a less skilled cutter because a skilled one naturally deserves higher pay. Tech can help the diamond seller understand which shape will give the most return for the money, and in which cut level. For example, sometimes it's better to cut a diamond to a "very good" cut and keep more carat weight. Cutting it into an ideal cut doesn't necessarily mean that the seller will earn more because he loses carat. Another example is with SI diamonds. You can cut the inclusions out, but again, you are losing carat weight. In the end, it depends on the business model of the diamond producer.
Depends on your priority. If you want to get the largest diamond under your budget, you'll be fine with an ideal cut. If you want to get the highest quality but smaller diamond, Hearts and Arrows is the way to go. Send me a message and let's chat before you buy something. We can make sure you get the best one for your budget >> bit.ly/ContactDiamondsReview

What's your opinion on hearts and arrows moissanite, do you think they are a good option and how do they compare to their diamond competition
You should get hearts and arrow, you will notice a great difference on the cut and proportions. Do not settle for anything less. More bang for buck
