- Instant Pot recently released an Air Fryer Lid that turns your existing 6 Quart Instant Pot into a fully functional air fryer. Nicole shows us all the steps of how to use it as well as its safety features and how to clean it. In this review she also compares it to a traditional air fryer by cooking fried okra, french fries and breaded chicken tenders. So how does it compare? This is the perfect intro video. I "fried" lumpias for Christmas in the IP air fryer lid; no one complained. Such a great healthy alternative to enjoying dishes that would normally be fried in oil. Thank you so much for posting this space saver!

Wow! Thank you so much. I've been looking for someone to do a video on that type of lid. I bought that lid for my 6 quart Instant Pot, but there are no use instructions included. The user's manual is good for set up and use, but not how to use with food. Thanks again!
Thank you very much for posting this tutorial. I just purchased an Instant Pot to replace a Power XL pressure cooker that broke. Saw this air fryer lid at my local Walmart and I'm considering acquiring one as well. In my opinion, the Instant Pot products perform better than other brands because they seem to have more power and durability.

You might find this tip helpful for manipulating the IP airfryer basket divider with holes: use 7 Inch stainless steel tweezers with curved serrated tips/multipurpose forceps for craft repairing. I believe they are easily available online and inexpensive.

I just got my air fryer lid last week and have already broiled ribs (made in the IP, of course), dried cilantro and basil, chicken nuggets, wonton strips for egg roll bowls and Apple chips!
I forgot to say I used the roast function and cooked some top sirloin too! So good.

Good comparison review. I did crinkle cut French fries for the first thing with the instant pot air fryer and they came out amazing. I have never been a fan of those type of fries before but I am now

I have an Instant Pot 3 Qt size unit and love it and gave my brother and sister-n-law a 6 Qt size container for Christmas and hope they have used their pot. I don't need the air fryer since I would not be using it much, if at all, but have been cooking barbeque pork ribs in mine and it does a great job and I have to put the ribs in the oven after the timer goes off and broil for about 5 minutes and they are perfect.

I’m so glad you used okra, it’s one things I made regularly. Walmart has hands down the best breaded frozen okra.

This was very helpful as I wanted to buy an instapot duo and only have experience with crockpots. I love my crockpot so I'm replaced ol'bessie after she died last week after 18 years of slow cooking heaven. However, the Instapot sounded pretty good. I'm getting both now.

They do not work with all 6Qt as stated on instantpot.com
I got the Ultra in 2017 and just now got around to buying this lid. It is good for 1-2 persons and seems more predictable than the convection oven here in my rental. Plus I love that all the pieces that touch food can get washed easily (no oven cleaner needed)

I just purchased an air fryer lid. I am very excited. I want to air fry chicken wings as my first item. If my husband and I go to a wing place, it costs $50…. The air fryer pays for itself in one use.
