I think for the female "stand up" generation, she was probably among the first. I'll tell you why I say that. You had Moms Mabley, Gracie Allen, Jean Carroll, and Irene Franklin. Still though, during that time, it wasn't called stand up. It was called just being an entertainer, but it looked like Phyllis Diller was more into stand-up.
We have the best entertainment back in the day. Great Stars, and great personalities. All very talented and original entertainers. People nowadays don't know what they missed.
Comedy talent like this is a bygone talent that the comedians of today cannot hold a candle to. I once saw her in a magazine photo layout modeling formal dresses and jewelry. And believe it or not when not performing her comedy act, she was a very attractive woman.
Ha ! Funny stuff ! But I can see them both reading their cue cards ! I was always a big fan of the late great Ms Diller ! And who doesn't love Dino's relaxed style ? THANKS for uploading !! :-)
My Mom cleaned for one of her family members (can’t remember who...this was when Phyllis was close to the end of her life). My Mom said she was always very nice! A class act!
I hope I make it to Heaven, and if I do, I hope to see my idol Phyllis... and if she's not there, then I'm gonna go to the other place. That's how much I adore her.
She should have had a makeup artist do her for this, she looked so worn out. A studio like this production would habe made her glamorous looking and mmmmot so shot put.
What's with the outfit that always managed to show way too much of her body. The part of the body that Noone should be seeing. What was she thinking? She knew she was shoeing Dean and the audience her behind, intentionally. Why?
She was the first pioneer for female comedians all the rest can just eat her dust she was brilliant kind and loving and funny miss you aunt Phyllis
How is she a pioneer? She continues to amaze me. I hear heavy Borscht Belt humor in her schtick and love every bit!

Two of the greats together, wonderful.

I am 17 and I am glad that I can watch all these amazing people too :)
Me, too; 1959 for me!
1961 for me
@JUSTACHIPN Got ya'll beat! 1951 here ;0)

So true
God I miss her so much. I still to this day say she is my idol. I tell everyone that’s why I dress crazy . I take after her.
I like the jarring juxtaposition of the honking diamond ring against the backdrop of her dismal ensemble. Nice :)
she was the original, funniest woman ever
My family & I loved watching her on various shows when I was a kid in the 60s and a teen in the 70s ! What a great talent and truly funny lady !
Dean and Phillis having tea. This was funny.
She is Queen of Comedy 👍
Mowed the living room!!
"drying the tea bag!"
Phyllis Diller, creator of 'yo momma so fat' jokes and pioneer of yoga pants.

Hot breakfast so she set fire to their cereal! And oh that laugh!
That kitchen's a riot

Cool!
It must have been her husbands family, they were still suing her over the use of Fang and his mother.
She was everyone favorite 😍
😂😃Dino was toasted, she was so funny
LOL ...love the sink scene she says ok baby ....she was a cougar
Somehow, her face reminds me of Lady Elaine Fairchilde.
Bad ass
I remember seeing her in Dean's roast she was young and way a head of her but here Deano is young and she is very old !
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐adorable
Dean isn’t trashed, he didn’t drink.
But you may be.
Always liked her laugh😂

The drinking and driving portion should be Edited Out!
This is not a laughing matter

That was part of her act..
Dino's got a WIDOW (not widowers) peak!
LMAO 😂
