I have weak vision by birth but by the time my vision gets worse now my glass power is -8.5 on both eyes ...i really hate wearing thick layered glass is there any solution to recover eyesight ?
My right eye got hit by a soccer ball on August 15, 2023. I saw several eye doctors but finally found one who detected a retina tear. The retina tear caused a PVD and a huge big black floater that looks like a worm. After getting my retina tear fixed, I began drinking a glass of pineapple juice every day, followed by a small serving of fresh pineapples after lunch and dinner. Fast forward to Septemeber 2023, the big floater has become significantly smaller and lighter in color. I'll be going for a follow-up checkup next week. Hopefully, everything goes well.
Of course I was sceptical, but I tried it. Most surprised it actually worked for me. I ate fresh pineapple and drank the raw juice for a month or so. The floaters disappeared! I have reduced pineapple intake to raw juice 2 or 3 times a week. Thanks very much as I'm 77 and suffered floaters for 20 - 30 years.
I thought eye floaters were normal until watching this video because I've had them for as long as I can remember. I was watching this video and realized that I haven't noticed them recently. I started eating pineapple/mango smoothies for breakfast every morning starting a month or so ago. I'm wondering if that's why I stopped noticing floaters.
I’m 59 years old. 2 years ago I started having floaters and flashes that were extremely annoying. I saw this video 2 years ago and I did the experiment with the pineapples. I actually made smoothies so I could use the stem as well. After several months the floaters and flashes were completely gone. I stopped drinking my pineapple smoothies. Well the floaters and flashes just came back. I came back to this video and now I am starting with my pineapple smoothies again. Thanks Dr Allen for sharing this information. You are awesome!
I've just turned 60, and DITTO! ... Floaters and flashes in my right eye! EDIT: I've started eating Pineapple every day. I use canned Pineapple Rings in natural juice (less waste and more convenient). I have one ring, cut into pieces with my cereal. Coincidentally, my floaters are much improved! Was it the Pineapple? I also take a Lutein supplement.
@@alex-sd I actually use 1/3 of a pineapple for each smoothie. In other words, 1 pineapple is good for 3 smoothies. I drink 1 smoothie every single day. Hope it works for you 🙏🏼

I've learned to live and enjoy my eye floaters, my right eye happens to have a dragon shaped floater which I named Edwin. When I'm in class or at work and I'm bored, I play optical tag with Edwin.
@@Luhaim @Siny Dominic I am going through that now. Multiple floaters with flashes of light occasionally. My eye dr is sending me to a retina specialist this week as this is nothing to fool with especially if it comes on suddenly because it can be an indication or lead to a retinal tear or detachment and vision loss. Treatment could include laser or cryo surgery. I am surprised this doctor isn't telling people to check with their dr. I wish you well.
that's because the drug companies ARE the FDA. have been since the '80s, thanks to Ronnie Ray-gun. before him, the drug companies had to constantly bribe the FDA in order to get their way. RR saved big pharma a lot of money, he did. he should be on mt rushmore.
The only reason is that the drug companies won't do the research on it to bring to the FDA, and with good reason. It costs $2.5B to bring a drug to market. Most drugs fail somewhere along the way, so that money also needs to be recouped somewhere. But be aware that I am not trying to defend the drug companies here. While they are forced to pay a lot to bring a drug to market, at the same time this keeps other companies from popping up and competing with them. The FDA is working to limit competition. Drug companies pay for protection and pass that cost on to consumers.
I am so happy to hear that pineapple (bromalaine) can reduce my floaters! Thank you! I have a doctor who recommends eating pineapple after surgeries to reduce inflammation. God has provided so many natural things to help us!
Last week Walmart had whole fresh pineapples on sale for one dollar! I bought some and ate a half cup pineapple every day for a week.it really did help the eye floaters! But as a surprise bonus, an eye twitch that I’ve had for months is also gone! I am amazed!
what helped my floaters was almost always wearing 'shade' lens so even watching TV inside was muted. Also, definitely practicing the 20/20 rule .. if you do 20 minutes of tablet/computer screen/even book reading/ spend at least 20 seconds focussing on an item at least 20 feet away ... not just stopping the close work but actively focusing i.e. look out a window at a garden and focus on various plants/leaves/trees minimum 20 feet away
I had many floaters for many years and then went on gluten-free diet (no wheat, oats, barley rye) and read labels carefully. I was looking get rid of back pain inflammation and "wheat belly" which happened within only 3 months. What I hadn't expected was to see my eye floaters disappear. Gone. I was amazed. Read into it. Inflammation is key, and gluten-caused inflammation is a plague. Bromelaine makes sense as an anti inflammatory, but I suggest getting off all pasta, breads, oats, and every form of gluten - your health will improve dramatically. I also used to get serious colds/flu 3-4 times a year ... since being gluten free I literally have not had any colds or flu in over 4 years - astonishing to me - thought you'd like to know ...
Inflammation is the cause of a lot of ills. I did what you did for tinnitus and it receded. I went back to eating carbs and it resurfaced. Now the floaters. Are you still doing well on your diet and did you incorporate bromelian? Thanks.

Several months ago, I started taking quercetin with bromelain for my sinus problems. Not only did it help with my sinuses, but my floaters have improved considerably.
What might be at issue here is the amount of sugar that is in pineapple. Taking the bromelein itself might be a better option especially for those with high blood sugar levels.
Some years ago I went on a fruit-only diet for 5 or 6 days (all kinds of fruit) as an experiment in weight loss and I definitely noticed clearer vision as a benefit.

You failed to mention that the pineapple has to be raw, rather than canned. Canning heats the fruit and changes the enzyme structure, which is why you can't put raw pineapple in jello--it won't gel because the enzymes change the gelatin protein.
@@human777 - If you are talking like in a fruit platter yes that is fine, they didn't do any more then cut the fruit for you. If you are talking, cooked, dried, frozen or canned, then no.
Very interesting. I am 74 and have had floaters in one eye due to an assault 20 years ago. I knew of the enzyme and was taking it to help with digestion after a long stay in hospital. After five days of use, I became aware of a greater clarity of the vision in the affected eye. I was unaware of this potential effect until I listened to this explanation.
About ten years ago I remember looking into a blue sky and being disturbed by how bad the floaters were. Around 2015 I decided I liked making smoothies and got whole pineapple which I cut up to keep in the freezer along with other fruits and veggies. Purely unscientific, but I'm now 55 and my eyes are very clear.
I used to believe in the primacy of diet in health, but my experiences--by way of overwhelming illness with which doctors only added to my frustration ... and my earnest quest for well-being that ensued--I have come to believe our environment plays a larger role, with the primary influencer being our own energy fields. Yes, minimizing toxin exposure is great, as is organ and system cleansing, but we are powerful energy manipulators. So much so that we can undermine health with a belief or emotions. Just a thought.💞
I know bromelaine helps with loosening mucus from bronchitis, which often is protein based from the disease process, so if it helps with floaters I'll definitely try it! Thank you for sharing this information!
This is true, I caught a horrible SARS virus in 2017. And had a terrible dry cough that lasted months. Until I had a natural craving for pineapple and ate 2 pineapples in the course of a few days. That helped towards my recovery.
For those wondering, three slices of whole pineapple at 120 grams each equals roughly 0.75 lb. Because the core is hard to eat, it is best to just put it in a blender with some water and make a drink out of it. Pineapples are 10% sugar, so 360 grams (0.75 lb) will give you about 36 grams of sugar.
Fruit sugar is different from other sugar, the rules are not really the same as adding granulated sugar would be from what I have assimilated from videos etc. Maybe im wrong always check with an expert.
I grew up in Hawaii. We never removed the core from the pineapple. We also cut the pineapple too to bottom, so each slice was a long, thin wedge, containing the long section of core at the ridge of the wedge. We also used salt to cut the acidity!
my floaters started about 5 years ago. I am now 71. For the last year I have been following Anthony Williams Medical Medium, drinking lemon water, celery juice every day. My body health has improved in many ways, including the floaters are almost completely gone. They are so faint now that most of the time I don't notice them. In the past they were so annoying because it felt like flies were flying around me.
I have exactly this problem right now! Its so annoying, that sometimes i feel that i just wanna to Lay me down and Day. I will go to the end of the world to get rid of This. I`ve started this experiment two weeks Ago. So, im just keep going and pray that it will faint away. Even the doctors here in Sweden are so bad to mention these things, and they just say "you have to learn to live with it".
You know I been eating pineapple almost daily for breakfast for the last 2 years, usually frozen and I blend it into a drink with blueberry's and banana's. I use to have a lot of floaters and now that you mention it in this video, I haven't really seen much of any for some time, today/right now NO floaters.
Before I uncovered the eye floaters treatment EyeFloatersCure45.blogspot.in I did everything to eliminate my eye-floaters such as eye comfort, solutions, washes, and more. None proved helpful. It does what it claims to do, period. I am now completely free of eye floaters!
I’ve had floaters as long as I can remember. I recall asking the eye doctor about the little strings when I was a child. I am now in my late 50s. The floaters are significant enough that my eye doctor sometimes has to wait for one to shift to complete a portion of the eye exam. It definitely affects my night driving and my ability to read music.
My first single floater came in my early 20's.looked like a semi transparent strand of beads with a knot in the middle. Now after more than 30 years the vision field is full of semi transparent strands. Now I am pretty used to it and I play with them chasing them as they drift away, hunt them down, catch them...... sometimes it's fun sittings down outside on a sunny day
I was in early 20s as well when noticed a floater for a first time.. Went to eye clinic and they didn't find anything. Since then their numbers are growing. I'm 39 right now and even can't count it. month ago I went to eye clinic again for a pain in my eye. They didn't find what causes pain but said I have possible an entry stage of glaucoma. J Segal I have those gelatinous looking ones AND the black “bugs”. I have AMD in both eyes as well as Glaucoma in both eyes. I have had the wet AMD in my right eye for 16 yrs and have had an injection every 4 was since then. I would always have more black floaters after my shot and the Dr said it was blood which didn’t away within days. Then my left eye went from dry to wet AMD and I have begun shots in that eye also every 5 weeks. Since that time, the little black bugs have become 3D! I can actually see some of them closer and some further away giving them a 3 dimensional appearance. WHY? My dr.says he’s never heard of that and I wonder if I’m actually seeing this or if it’s an optical illusion.. o something like double vision. Does anyone else have the 3D black spots? They are very small compared to the black spot that shows up directly after my injection, but I never saw this anomaly (3D) until I began receiving injections in both eyes. Actually, the gelatinous floaters (2) in my right eye are so bad, the will actually block a letter on the eye chart, and when trying to read with a magnifier, if the move into my sight line the can block a whole word. They look just like your example at the beginning of this lecture. If you know more about this 3D or how to look around the larger floaters, I’d appreciate any help. Thanks, Connie
Two months ago I watched this video. I tried the pineapple thing, it works 100% my floaters are almost gone. Drink the juice as well. What happens is, after about a month the floaters will start to become extremely transparent, then will shrink, and either vanish or become so small and faded, that you cant see them at all. I recommend anyone with bad floaters try this.
@@UtkarshSingh-ru5ud keep in mind though..its going to take a while. You dont have to eat the pineapple every day either, I just ate large portions of it every other day Or every few days.
About 2 years ago, I first noticed what looked like eye lashes appearing in my vision. I was relieved to find out that other people had them and that they were called “floaters”. It turns out that for the past year, I have been buying fresh pineapple chunks since they are always sweet and flavorful, especially through the winter months. Until I saw this video, I hadn’t really thought much about the floaters lately, and now I realize why. I hadn’t been noticing the floaters. I had to stand in front of a white wall and move my eyes around for a few minutes before I saw any at all. So I can say, since eating fresh pineapple regularly, the floaters are definitely reduced. Now, I have to look for them to see them, whereas before I couldn’t miss them. They tend to be smaller (a dot vs. an eyelash) and appear in the bottom of my eyes.
Make sure you go to optometrist as well. Floaters can also be a sign of detached retina. Also blood work. I’m watching some videos now as my optometrist made note and told me that my retina on edge has changed colour so looking at foods etc For eye health. Also drink water. I don’t drink enough
It’s quite common to adjust to floaters over time, independent of diet. My own anecdotal experience is just that. I rarely am aware of my floaters unless I look for them…..as I did when seeing an article on this subject. Pineapple is pretty benign, unless you are allergic or have diabetes, since it contains significant sugar. There doesn’t seem to be much information on whether bromelain is found in the vitreous humor after eating pineapple for some period. And the question arises of the effects of bromelain on collagen in other parts of the body. In short, a lot more study is needed. Meanwhile, people have been eating pineapple for millennia. So it likely won’t do much harm, with the exceptions noted above.
Hello Doc! Since you've mentioned Bromelain from the Pineapple, would taking the Bromelain be the same instead of eating Pineapple? That's kind of weird for me to ask this question since I've always preferred natural cure from fruits and vegetables over modern medicines.
I've always thought it was silly when people said this, but I HAVE NEVER CLICKED ON ANYTHING SO FAST. It would be amazing to get some improvement in my floaters- I've had multiple in both eyes for years.
@@JohnBarrow1961 I try to ignore it, but I do wear sunglasses frequently- I find that helps obscure them a little. Sometimes I use colored overlays when I read if the floaters are really distracting me.

Fun fact: the enzyme BROMELAIN found in pineapple and papaya is known for breaking down protein. That's why when most people eat pineapple it gives them an itchy feeling in their mouth. That's the pineapple digesting you while you're digesting it. No worries, once you swallow 😜, it's all good. BROMELAIN is found mostly in the stem and the skin, maybe that's why most people cut those parts off, some without knowing because that's how we were taught to prepare them.
I noticed that you were using an unripe pineapple. When I lived in Hawaii, I learned that the more golden a pineapple was the sweeter and tastier it would be. Unripe pineapple feels like it burns your mouth tissues. The solution, search for pineapples that are golden between the segments on the outside, which you won't find very often, especially in the winter. Or purchase your pineapple and let it sit at room temperature to ripen.
Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I posted a description of how to pick a pineapple in the grocery store earlier this afternoon. Alrhough I didn't describe your technique, I look for golden color of the rind as well.
Hi, I both grow and buy Pineapples at the store. WikiHow and Dole website says that a Pineapple will not get sweeter after it is picked so you should wait until it is evenly golden to pick it...i.e...ripened on the Plant. "My" experience does not totally match up with that. Yes, letting my pineapples ripen to a Golden Yellow on the plant before picking are the sweetest and best pineapples I have ever had. But, I can get a GREEN store bought pineapple and each day for a week run water over the Green Leaves/Crown a few times a day and I also set it outside in the Sun for a little bit each day. Within 6 to 10 days it will be Golden Yellow and almost just as Sweet and Delicious as my Home grown pineapples. You can SMELL it getting sweeter each day in the kitchen as it continues ripen. Makes me wonder if DOLE and WikiHow and Science have ever tried "my" technique to ripen one after picking. I know that keeping a damp paper towel over my Tomatoes that still have a vine attached keeps them ripening and fresh for a good while. So, based on that is how I started my way of ripening a Green Store bought pineapple. (I put it into the Sunshine as an added measure to help it keep photosynthesizing. :~) ) I have always sliced right though my pineapples making discs like he did here for the 1st method. I then cut them into 1/4's and eat the core and flesh to the Rind/Skin and toss the Rind/Skin into my Flower Beds.
Thank you for your info, I used to have floaters in the past when I was ill, but not any more. I did not know about the pineapple cure, but I do often put fresh pineapple in my smoothies. You could use a bit of help for selecting the pineapple. It is easy to pull a leaf off of a ripe pineapple, and that's a way to know that its ready to eat. The pineapple you have is way too green and too pale from inside. It is not ripe and it will have no flavor.
Hi Doc, I saw improvement in less than 2 months. However, I drank pineapple juice. 2 coffee cups a day, 1 breakfast and the 2nd at lunch. 5 days skipping weekends. It appears it worked for me.
I tried 250gms of fresh pineapple for 7 months. I never missed a single day. I had a dilated eye exam a few weeks before I started. I also had another one at 7 months. The opthalmologist was aware of the study. He was skeptical, but he was willing to observe and record my progress. I saw NO improvement at all. I really wanted it to work. The eye is much like the brain. It has a blood-brain barrier-like membrane. It stops many chemicals and compounds from entering the eye. Bromelain is one of those compounds. I gave it a really honest attempt. I am healthy, fit and active. I wish it worked, but, sadly, it didn't.
I take bromelain every day for other reasons. I still have floaters. I have found out though that Choline - 1000 mg Inositol - 500 mg Methionine - 200 mg L-Lysine - 1-3 grams is supposed to work. I'm going to try it.
For everyone who has eye floaters and are currently in panic: keep on reading. I first encountered floaters when I was about 19 but somehow they moved out of my field of vision, then at 27 I suddenly had a bunch of them. At that time I also had bad anxiety, stress etc and I couldn’t stop looking for the floaters that it became a daily obsession. But: I overcame it. It WILL get better! Try to find the core of where the anxiety comes from, maybe with a little more help like therapy or someone you trust to talk to. Strangely, I still have floaters but I barely notice them because I’m not scared of them anymore. The mind is the magic! If I can do it, you can do it too!
thank you so much for your story.. kinda relieved after reading this and maybe stress can amplify this symptom severely. I should find the way out of stress and anxiety
@@jmins548Happy to help! Give it some time, it’s okay to feel down because of floaters but as time passes by you’ll get used to it. I am 67 and had floaters since I was about 5. It seemed to me that the number or severity has always fluctuated, although that may have been entirely psychological. I always just sort of rationalized that some of them had settled to the bottom of the eyes or stuck to some out-of-the-way place in my eyes. In more recent years, they have been increasing and most annoying when looking at computer screens. A couple of months ago, I had a laser treatment on one eye for what was described as scar tissue on the surface of that eye. I had cataract surgery on that eye about five years ago. Although the laser treatment wasn't for the floaters, floaters in that eye seemed much less severe following the treatment, although the floaters have recently become as noticeable and annoying as they were prior to the laser treatment. I am definitely going to try the pineapple therapy.
It worked for me! People are so quick to dismiss natural food treatments it seems (less profit for big pharma) but a few slices of fresh pineapple a day for 2 weeks and my vision is already way more clear of them! Don’t know if it’ll last, but even if it requires occasional purchases of pineapple during grocery runs, that’s hardly a burdensome prescription.
I have had floaters my entire life. Made a MASSIVE diet change about 3 months ago. Every morning I do a real fruit smoothie. Milk, greek yogurt, protein powder and a cup and a half of fresh fruit. Mostly blueberries and dragonfruit. Sometime pineapples, oranges, banana, grapes and strawberries. Try to mix it up. And, I don't notice my floaters at all anymore. I have also lost 24lbs during that time with lots a walking. Over 300 miles. Not sure what caused them to go away but I am sure the healthy eating is definitely a factor.
Wow! Thank you. As a surgeon, with floaters, I am grateful for the chance to make them smaller or maybe even make them go away! I will be trying the pineapple. I also want to commend you on how well done your video is. Very nicely summarized study.
Makes total sense why mine went away when I started using pineapple, in my morning smoothie. It’s been 3 months and I haven’t noticed them, seems completely gone
I've had floaters for so long, when I was a toddler looking up at the sky I thought I was looking at air bubbles. I'm used to them now. Some look like worms and others like little round "air bubbles." Sometimes they form perfect equilateral or isosceles triangles. It's rare to be able to look at them directly, as they're always sliding away. I'll eat some pineapple and test this out.
That's interesting because as a kid I would look at the sky and see similar "bubbles" but they move fast and appear to move to a single point. Like tunnel vision.
@@DoctorEyeHealth I think that you could probably see that best gazing at the clear blue sky away from the sun. Maybe the light from that source is polarized or something. I have speculated that the paths that they take are vasculature in the retina, and that the bubbles are white blood cells. Maybe the red blood cells are too small or transparent to see that way.
I did try this the morning after having 2 new floaters in my left eye yesterday. I ate too much of the pineapple thought I believe because I did have my mouth hurt, But, the worst part was that after I ate supper, my belly started hurting read bad for over an hour & then I had diarrhea. As I read up on pineapple, I learned that too much of the enzyme, Bromelain, can cause both of these symptoms. Please be careful to NOT eating too much!!
This was the best video I've seem on You Tube. I have huge floaters (as all my eye doctors have commented.) I followed your tip and have been drinking pineapple juice. Relief from floaters has improved my vision.
YES!!! Me! Why has my eye doctor never mentioned this? 2 years later I wonder if anything has changed. At my last appointment I told her my floaters have decreased but didn’t know why. Well. I started including more fruit in my diet after limiting it for a few years - the main one being added was pineapple for its anti inflammatory and gut benefits. This is just another reason to eat it!
Hi ! I’m glad that your floaters had been decreased but that was 9 months ago, can you tell me how is your situation right now and if you continued to eat more fruit ? Thanks
I have heard the keto diet can really help. I started 3 weeks ago and after watching this video part way through, I concentrated on trying to see my floaters by closing my eyes and facing the sun. Very Interesting. I had floaters 10 years ago. But I love pineapple, and 8 years ago I began eating pineapple and cottage cheese every morning for breakfast. EVERY MORNING. I was wondering a few days ago why I hadn't had any floaters in a long time. Guess this works!
I noticed cutting alcohol out had an impact in reducing floaters for me personally. I had a vitrectomy in 2017 (Not for floaters) and was floater free up until January of 2022 but then they started to creep in, small ones at first, then a few bigger irregular shaped ones. I cut out drinking alcohol for 3 weeks and noticed an improvement though it took the full 3 or so weeks to notice.
I wonder if it wasn't so much what you were drinking but what your were *not* drinking, i.e. when drinking alcohol you aren't drinking water. I think hydration / dehydration impacts eye health.
Still off the alcohol? I cut all inflammatory foods and my health improved but after six months found it hard to give up the wine and beer. Went back to it and now floaters. Ugh! How are you now?
I want to thank this channel for helping me resolve my eye floater problem. I am 25 year old woman. I consumed pineapple continuously for 1 and half month. @@JohnBarrow1961 My floaters are extremely bad. I've had them since the age of 10. My doctors told me they would go away within 3 months to 6. Well, I am in my 30s now and these same old floaters did not go away but instead became bigger and more obstructive. They are so bad that reading the eye chart at the doctor's office is pretty problematic. They my doctor is recommending vitrectomy surgery to remove them but said I will be at great risk for retina detachment. Let me explain what my floaters look like now: They first appeared as a tiny piece of tread ( I was 10 years old then) and now that tread has changed to something like a thick yellow phlegm ( that cold you cough up and spit out when you have a cold.) It's like a thick gel in front of my field of vision. It's one of the most craziest things could happen to a human being.
I never had floaters till I was poisoned by a weed called spurge that was in my salad gave me a small heart attack that night an was peeing blood next morning in 2 weeks had a flash in left eye an floaters in horseshoe shape started the went to eye doctor but they wouldnt do anything soon covered 60%of eye with 2 large floaters very hard to see so later I read about frankincense I put a drop or two on a bandaid stick to my hand an held closed over eye the fumes took floaters out to back to small horse shoe shape but never totally gone may try pineapple to if you use frankincense dont get liquid in eye could blind you it's only fumes that seemed to help did 2 or 3 times a day was a immediate improvement so I could see usually held next to eye till eye watered then quit

@@Rob_Thorsman yep.. I was discharged from hospital saying I didn’t have a retinal detachment … these floaters and flashing lights were still there and I’d lost peripheral vision. I had to beg to go back to be seen again, and once I did… they found the detachment.
@@nimenialtul25 hi mate, I struggled to stick to the protocol, but did massively increase my intake of pineapple! I have to say I did notice less floaters… hard to tell whether placebo or real as i don’t have a method to objectively assess it… however I would definitely recommend it :)

I had a leg ulcer last ~april 2019, and in mid summer 2019 I ate about 4 cans of pineapple a day. I had to limit sodium, found out meat was making me swell, etc so I just started eating cans of fruit, which mostly contained pineapple. The fruit was helping so I became a part time fruitarian. My leg ulcer healed up within a month, vs trying to heal it for ~7 months via nurse visits. I stopped eating pineapple, but I'll start, again, tomorrow. I stopped, because I started eating normal food again, and it was like a habit that faded away. I did develop some serious eye problems last spring '19, and can't recall if the pineapple helped me, but the eye problems are still there. This time I won't focus on the leg, since it healed up, but I'll focus my eyes. I started taking copper two weeks ago, and it's doing wonders for my energy. I've been anemic since I was 16, so I'm assuming the copper is helping my anemia. I'll find out in March with blood tests. I found out copper is in pineapple, too and I'm wondering if it's not just bromelain, but the copper, too. I have bromelain supplements in my cabinet. I haven't taken any in months, but just took some right after I watched this video. If the pineapple and bromelain, together, help, than I'll definitely leave a comment and let people know. I've had floaters since I was 14, now 34. I had no idea what they were, until this past year.. I'd see them everytime the sky was gray, or when I'd look at the snow. If anyone else wants to know if the pineapple and bromelain helps, you can find me on Facebook. I may forget about this post. You can simply write me a message and ask, "How are your floaters." I have two jobs, so it's been rough finding time to make an appointment among other things, but if they get worse than I'll eventually try to get laser surgery. Facebook.com/zacharypzetts
I recently watched a video about foods which reduce inflammation. Pineapple was in the top 5. They specifically mentioned Bromelain as the enzyme causing the inflammation reduction. Go team Pineapple
Have had really bad floaters. I recently had flu and drank lots of pineapple juice to soothe the coughing and when I watched this I suddenly realised how reduced my floaters were.
I've been trying this out for about 2 months with occasional pineapple eating and it seems to have lessened the amount of floaters I have/make them less noticeable. However they're still definetly there
I've read that Bromelaine helps with COPD. I think most of the Bromelaine is near the core or harder part. And, it needs to be fresh pineapple as canned pineapple gets treated which destroys the Bromelaine or most of it. This is what I've read up on but not sure if it's accurate.
Thank you for this video! I have a patient with eye floaters and I guess this video came to my attention because Google spies on us! I love pineapple anyway and I know bromelaine has a lot of great healing properties
My 18 year old son developed 2 translucent floaters on each eye about 7 months ago and recently after research my husband put him on nattokinase for a week and bromeline capsules. He stopped natto after a week because it isnt recommended for too long but still takes the bromeline. Last night he came in to tell us he barely notices them anymore. 🙌We are overjoyed and don't know which supplement was the one that worked but grateful he got relief. 🙏
I have floaters. 60 year old male, otherwise healthy and strong with no other apparent issues. I am going to take 100 grams of pineapple per day, carefully record the number and size of floaters as accurately as I can, based on what I can see, and try and develop a fairly reliable means of measurement over the next 120 days. I understand that this might be insignificant in the greater scheme of things, but since I love pineapples and have not had too much of it recently, I will add them to my regular diet and see if it makes a difference over time.
Thank you for the great info, going to try this out. From my own experience, I started adding Nutrex spirulina (3g daily) to my smoothies and have noticed my floaters improved within only a day or two. I'm not sure if spirulina is supposed to help with floaters or not, but it was a welcome "side effect."
I started having floaters 1.5 ago. they would come and go. 80% stress caused + some nutrition imbalance. UK NHS (National Health System) is useless as I went to see 4 doctors so far as my floaters stopped going away and they (doctors) just can't help at all. I will try this and report back!
Bromelain is a group of enzymes found in the fruit and stem of the pineapple plant. Pineapple is native to the Americas but is now grown throughout the world in tropical and subtropical regions. Historically, natives of Central and South America used pineapple for a variety of ailments, such as digestive disorders.
The amount of sugar in a pineapple is probably insignificant compared with the soda you get with your fast food so I wouldn't worry to much about that. Also, the pineapple comes with additional nutritional values and a lot of fibre unlike the soda. Fruit is good! I have quite a lot of floaters after having had retinal detachment times three so here comes the pinapple! 😉 Thanks for this. I'm an anaesthetist and ophthalmology is a little of a blank page for me... It was a long time since I went to medical school🧙♀

I’m so glad I came across your video. My dad who is 85, has suffered from floaters for years. He loves pineapple, so I’m sure he will try this. I don’t know if his are trauma induced or not, because he has trauma induced glaucoma from combat. But maybe this will help. Thanks for the video!
For those of you hoping to get the same benefit from eating canned pineapple, you may be disappointed. The enzyme bromelaine is broken down in the canning process and there is very little active bromelaine in canned pineapple.
interesting! There's another comment saying that the amount would be higher in the canned ones. And then there's a comment of someone who tried the canned version and his floaters ahve improoved since. What if it's not bromelaine but something else in the pineapple, it is said to contain several different enzymes. (Would not be the first time that researchers focussed on the wrong thing bringing success in their study.)

The FDA will never approve anything that won't make a drug companie money.
Chuck W I agree. I’ve come to now believe that. After seeing thing’s in a new light. Sooooo true.
Ok boomer
that's because the drug companies ARE the FDA. have been since the '80s, thanks to Ronnie Ray-gun. before him, the drug companies had to constantly bribe the FDA in order to get their way. RR saved big pharma a lot of money, he did. he should be on mt rushmore.
Ya, you're right.

I used to believe in the primacy of diet in health, but my experiences--by way of overwhelming illness with which doctors only added to my frustration ... and my earnest quest for well-being that ensued--I have come to believe our environment plays a larger role, with the primary influencer being our own energy fields.
Hey Stanley, I'm a Vietnam vet too! 26 months in 336th Assault Helicopter Co. in Soc Trang 1968-1970. Welcome home brother.

Thanks,
Connie

Go to your Dr to check why you have floaters. Could be serious and or fatal

They tend to be smaller (a dot vs. an eyelash) and appear in the bottom of my eyes.
this is really encouraging !
Thank you for giving me hope!
Make sure you go to optometrist as well. Floaters can also be a sign of detached retina. Also blood work. I’m watching some videos now as my optometrist made note and told me that my retina on edge has changed colour so looking at foods etc
For eye health.

BROMELAIN is found mostly in the stem and the skin, maybe that's why most people cut those parts off, some without knowing because that's how we were taught to prepare them.
not true for everyone...i get terrible stomach ache after eating pineapple or drinking fresh juice...too bad cause i love pineapples! 😂
I have always sliced right though my pineapples making discs like he did here for the 1st method.
Do you have advice on how you cut them ? That is the part i don't like .
Thank you!
Hi Doc,
I saw improvement in less than 2 months. However, I drank pineapple juice. 2 coffee cups a day, 1 breakfast and the 2nd at lunch. 5 days skipping weekends. It appears it worked for me.
how is it now
Did you juice it yourself, or buy in a can?
@Ari Casual - Hi! How are your eye floaters now? Did you purchase the Dole 8.4 ounce cans of juice to drink your pineapple juice 2x a day?
So it's hogwash then?
I take bromelain every day for other reasons. I still have floaters. I have found out though that Choline - 1000 mg
Inositol - 500 mg
Methionine - 200 mg
L-Lysine - 1-3 grams is supposed to work. I'm going to try it.

Incredible 🎉😮
I have floaters. 60 year old male, otherwise healthy and strong with no other apparent issues. I am going to take 100 grams of pineapple per day, carefully record the number and size of floaters as accurately as I can, based on what I can see, and try and develop a fairly reliable means of measurement over the next 120 days. I understand that this might be insignificant in the greater scheme of things, but since I love pineapples and have not had too much of it recently, I will add them to my regular diet and see if it makes a difference over time.
Well I wish the best for you!
Use fresh, apparently.
What are your results today ?
Thank you for the great info, going to try this out. From my own experience, I started adding Nutrex spirulina (3g daily) to my smoothies and have noticed my floaters improved within only a day or two. I'm not sure if spirulina is supposed to help with floaters or not, but it was a welcome "side effect."
Thanks for sharing. Interesting. I wonder if you keep taking just the spirulina it will work for the floaters?
How is it now?
I started having floaters 1.5 ago. they would come and go. 80% stress caused + some nutrition imbalance. UK NHS (National Health System) is useless as I went to see 4 doctors so far as my floaters stopped going away and they (doctors) just can't help at all. I will try this and report back!
Nutritional imbalances can be caused by stomach acid drugs and/or leaky gut syndrome. Watch out for antacids.
@Coolride17 I'm 18 and I'm experiencing floaters which is making me depressed
Thanks for this. I'm an anaesthetist and ophthalmology is a little of a blank page for me... It was a long time since I went to medical school🧙♀
pineapple contains about 10g of sugar per 100g. coke contains 10.6g per 100g.
sugar content in fruit is definitely something to be aware of.
What fast food, what soda?
@@waltdistel716 Imagine being worried about sugar from fruit lmao
@@masondykstra9464 I guess you're not diabetic or on a diet...
@@masondykstra9464 please refrain if you are not a doctor. My wife drinks a coke when she has an emergency low blood sugar and it drastically raises her blood sugar. I have not had a sugared soda in 15 years as a result of the damage it does, so this is not a joke. Thanks.
I suffer these daily. Thanks for the help.
I’m so glad I came across your video. My dad who is 85, has suffered from floaters for years. He loves pineapple, so I’m sure he will try this. I don’t know if his are trauma induced or not, because he has trauma induced glaucoma from combat. But maybe this will help. Thanks for the video!
He loves Pineapple 🍍...but still had floaters...hmmm
For those of you hoping to get the same benefit from eating canned pineapple, you may be disappointed. The enzyme bromelaine is broken down in the canning process and there is very little active bromelaine in canned pineapple.
interesting! There's another comment saying that the amount would be higher in the canned ones. And then there's a comment of someone who tried the canned version and his floaters ahve improoved since.
What if it's not bromelaine but something else in the pineapple, it is said to contain several different enzymes. (Would not be the first time that researchers focussed on the wrong thing bringing success in their study.)
