I'd like to say something in Flik and Ariel's defense. First off, none of those other ants really gave Flik and his inventions a fair chance. Also, they used Flik's idea of getting help as an excuse to send him away. That's basically why he came back with circus bugs in the first place. In Ariel's defense, Triton completely destroyed her treasured collection out of his hatred for humans. He provided Ursula with the emotional wreck she needed to take advantage of Ariel.
I'm with you too the other Ants were jerks to Flik he was only trying help and King Triton destroyed Ariel's collection all because of her love for Eric P.S Do you think Milo doesn't belong on this list because he didn't even know the crew were mercenaries just saying
@@aarontopa9458 I would agree with you there on Milo. I don't think he belongs on this list considering he had zero information on the entire crew being mercenaries until that little plot twist towards the end. He couldn't have known at all
Hold on for a second! First of all the reason why Ariel‘s father King Triton hates humans is because The pirates killed his wife and her mother. Second of all, the reason why the other ants Not interesting of Flik’s inventions because they’re too busy being scared of the grasshoppers, but then they discover why Hopper and his gang of grasshoppers were here in the first place and not only they are here to take food for themselves, but also Hopper wanted to kill the ant 🐜 queen to remind them who is boss, and what he said to all ants was wrong and Flik stood up to him and said ants are not meant to serve grasshoppers, and this is all Hopper ever did treated them like slaves, The only one who needs them is himself and Flik taught them that there’s a whole lot of them ants and with and whole army of them are stronger than the grasshoppers.
Dakotah Rednour Actually, Athena's death only explains why he banned music in Atlantica. Also, the "humans eat fish" excuse is moot, because some of Triton's subjects include sharks and dolphins, which, last I checked, eat fish. Also, the humans that we saw in the film were either unaware of the merfolk's existance (Eric at the beginning), scoffed at the notion of their existence (Grimsby at the beginning), or highly respected them (that sailor that released a fish he caught, so as to pay homage to Triton), which are implications that Triton's hatred of humans was predicated more upon racism than the humans being a direct threat to the merfolk.
Letting Belle go wasn't a mistake. It was him realizing that loving her was incopmatible with continuing to hold her there against her will. Especially now that there's someone else who also needs her help.
Yet he couldn't have spared 10 minutes to ask for Belle's feelings, thereby breaking the curse right then and there, after which they could've gone together to rescue Maurice and put Gaston in his place?
@@Compucles I think asking her about her feelings to break the curse won't have worked. Part of the curse was that it only got broken by someone who volunterely loved him.
Adding to the list: Woody, Toy Story. Simple attempt to take back his place as Andys favorite toy, that led both him and Buzz get lost from home. Hiro Hamada, Big Hero 6. They already had Callaghan, but Hiro's attempt for revenge led to villains escape. Li Shang, Mulan. Not believing Mulan when she came to warn him about the huns being alive. Even if that kind of information would've come from the most unreliable source(which BTW it didn't), that was just way too big to be ignored.
Don’t forget Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. He tried a new holiday after some time of growing tired of the same old Halloween routine and hoped to make it better, despite Sally’s warnings of his Christmas being a disaster . Smoke, fire and all. When he became Santa for Christmas Eve, he was going to bring his own Christmas to the world, only to end up frightening everyone and getting the attention of the police and the military who shot him and his reindeer down using a well guided missile. It was then that he realized what he did and outright said that he never intended all this madness. When he did realize that, he decided to set things right by saving Santa Claus in order to save Christmas and learned that he is better off in his own holiday.
Woody also makes everything worse in Toy Story 3, by trusting Lots'O in the end and makes him and his friends almost get burnt until they safed by the CLLAAWWW aliens.
Being the hero doesn't always equal that you have to be the main character. Felix and the Nicelanders made it to the list, so I would think the captain of an imperial army counts.
My ex was basically like Joy. Whenever I was upset about something he tells me without even sugar-coating it to stop being depressed and needing to be more positive which made me feel worse and that bothered him more and he said he was only trying to help and then suggested maybe he should have just ignored my problems. Maybe I should have tried to not be negative all the time but it still hurt me when he kept saying those words..
I would argue that Triton was the goof in that film. Ariel is curious and really likes human things. Instead of teaching her to safely explore her hobby, he instead destroys the stuff she loves. He drove her away and to Ursala.
#3: Oh, come on! Mr. Incredible wasn't wrong to reject buddy! First of all, he tried being nice to buddy, but he clearly wouldn't listen. Secondly, if he DID let buddy join him, he wouldn't be respected as a hero because of Buddy's childish attitude, and he would have been charged with child endangerment. Crime fighting isn't a game. It's very serious, life threatening business. It's like when the Powerpuff girls tried to explain to Princess Morebucks about why she can't be a Powerpuff girl.
Thomas Huffman, I totally agree with you. It was really Syndrome’s fault. He shouldn’t have expected Mr Incredible to say yes to a kid! He also should’ve just, as it says in another Disney movie, Meet the Robinsons, let go of the past and keep moving forward.
@@disneyandpixarfanharrypott5336 or, as they said in the Lion king (either version): Put the past behind you, only embrace what’s next, and turn the “what” into “so what”?
Syndrome was nothing more than a butthurt giant baby that couldn’t accept he wasn’t a superhero, if Mr. Incredible would’ve said something like he could use his gifts to help people or there’s other ways to be a hero maybe Buddy wouldn’t have felt so much hatred and rejection to the point he was determined to make him sorry for not giving him a chance. I mean the kid almost got blown up by a bomb and didn’t even thank Mr. I for saving his life, and the bomb ended up nearly killing who knows how many people on a subway? Not to mention despite we don’t know if Buddy didn’t have a dad, Mr. Incredible would’ve been 100% responsible if something happened to him. Not to mention I’m sure if supers were allowed his kids wouldn’t be allowed to use their powers until they were at least 18
I first thought Maui from Moana was going to be on this list. He stole the heart of Tefiti to use it as a gift for the mortals all across the world. However, he made it worse because he made Tefiti turn into Teka and many monsters appeared and islands were starting to disappear because of what he did. I know he wasn’t the real hero of the movie, which Moana was the one, but Maui was considered a hero by his people in the past.
"Worse" is a relative term, though, implying that things were already somewhat bad to begin with. When the action directly causes the main problem at the very beginning of the movie, does it really count as making things worse?
Beast should not have been included on this list, because his story was a Redemption Arc. He was NOT a good guy in the beginning, hence WHY he was cursed by the enchantress in the first place. He became better, because he realized what a horrible mistake he made and how terrible a person he'd been. Belle's presence in his life was the catalyst for his self-realization and maturity, as he realized he had something worth living for, and a potentially brighter future with her at his side. He also realized that real love means being willing to let go so the other person can be happy, no matter how much it hurts you. Also? Her father was DYING without her. Forcing her to stay would've been a dick move. But instead, he released her so she could nurse her father back to health, showing how far he'd come as a person. That her happiness mattered more to him than breaking the curse. And she came back because she had learned to look beyond his monstrous appearance to see the sensitive, caring person he'd become. It's a beautiful story that ends up getting the short end of the stick by being in this list.
In Zootopia, it's not Judy's fault that the city was divided in fear. She had a rough childhood and she didn't mean to offend Nick. In the end, she made things and that made her a hero. For Joy in Inside Out, it's nice she wants to keep Riley happy, but how will we feel Joy without Sadness? It's okay to be sad once in a while. As long as you have your friends and family by your side, things will work out.
Judy may have had a rough childhood, but she still had loving parents and friends to turn to whenever she was down on her luck, and be able to teach her right from wrong. The least Judy could have said is that they are not one hundred percent sure if this is natural instincts kicking in, and will do further investigation on the matter. Bellwether may have had none of that in her childhood, having nobody to turn to for helping her find love, hope, and a chance to prove herself, and Lionheart was the last straw. So while her actions are not excusable, it is understandable why she feels certain jealousy toward Judy, having what she never did in her life.
Disneyfan82, you may be right about Judy, but remember, her parents weren’t exactly very supportive of her dreams. They told her stuff like “Don’t try new things, and you’ll never fail.”, and “You can have dreams as long as you don’t believe in them too much.” I know they meant well and were trying to protect her, but in my opinion, that’s a sorta bad example for her. Remember when Judy came home from her first day, and when she was on the phone w/ her parents, they literally jumped for joy when they saw her parking duty outfit? They weren’t supporting her, which is was all families should do. I know it was her parents farm that led to her discovering what “Night Howlers” really were, and I was only trying to make a respectful point. Many, many Disney movies have important real-life lessons, especially the modern 90s & 2000s. One that I really like from Zootopia is “No matter who you are, try. Try to help out, to create a difference. And to make the world a better place.”🌇
Disney And Pixar Fan Harry Potter too Technically, Stu was the one who said "You'll never fail if you don't try" and "don't believe in dreams too much." Bonnie on the other hand seemed to be supportive of Judy's dreams. In the end, they seem to accept it.
Ralph wants to be with Felix and the nicelanders but it was their fault because they assumed that he will always be the bad guy even when the arcade closes. That caused him to go turbo and tries to prove himself that he's a good guy. That decision almost destroys the arcade, but if you think about it, it was the nicelanders fault, especially Felix.
Nah. Gene was the one who made it worse the worst, if that makes sense. But I'll tell you the time when Ralph screwed up soooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. When he destroyed Vanellope's kart. I know that his mind had been poisoned by King Candy's malicious lies (forgive me for being over-dramatic), and he thought he was trying to save her, but he definitely made things a lot worse. Also, why does everyone say that *all* the Nicelanders were mean? Felix was trying to *avert* the fight and the rest of them were just standing there, trying not to get involved.
Ralph had lived in a tree trunk before the Nicelanders arrived. The hotel owner destroyed Ralph's home and replaced it with a hotel. It seems that the owner is the villain. I don't know who else is at fault.
Except she did or said nothing wrong. I love this movie but from the first time I saw it in the cinema, this scene made ma mad. She's only stating the facts of their investigations: "predators SEEM to be inclined to become wild again but we haven't dug it enough to be sure. We're all different, predators and preys." There's nothing wrong in saying that. Nick reacting aggressively to Judy for that is a huge mistake in the message of the film. It's like they're saying you shouldn't tell the truth if it's going to hurt someone's sensitivity and I find it extremely dangerous, especially in a world like ours where everyone is affraid to speak the truth because they can be called racist or sexist or anything... :/
Superibis it’s not that she said they “seem to be inclined” to that behavior more than prey. It’s that she explicitly implied it was biological, like they’re all genetically predisposed to violence. It’s like people in the news claiming black people have supernatural strength “biologically” when they’re trying to support why they shot an unarmed black person in “self defense”. You focused on the wrong part of the speech. Wasn’t a misstep on Disney’s part. She stepped into discriminatory behavior with that line, not the one you highlighted, which you are right that there’s nothing wrong with it.
@@Kathrine_elizabeth08 he didn’t say love was stupid, watch Ariel’s Beginning and you’ll notice she reminds him of Athena who died from humans. He had a personal reason to object to what she wanted, though I can’t remember if he ever told her the truth about Athena. Though yes if Ariel would’ve just told Melody there was a very dangerous creature in the ocean out to get her, maybe Melody wouldn’t have given Morgana the trident
There are many heroes that make mistakes, thats why there is movies. They can't just do everything perfectly, that makes the movie boring sometimes. Elsa, Maui, and Woody are also good contenders for this list tho
Honestly, though, for Elsa, it wasn't 100% her fault. It was actually more the fault of her and Anna's parents. Instead of teaching her how to properly control her powers, they instead make her feel like a freak, and make her hide them, which only made Elsa's dilemma worse.
Same! I shipped Flick and the princess before I knew what shipping was. I made my mom take me to see that movie 4 times. I just loved it. Flick still my fave. He tries so hard and doesn't give up like that dudes my spirit ant.
A Bugs Life is just an amazing movie that needs more praise. Flick is my spirit ant. He worked his ass off even when he failed he kept going and he became a Disney Prince. Don't tell me he and the Princess didn't get together. They did and have million ant babies. I shipped them before I knew what shipping was. Never stop singing praise for "A Bugs Life" just a great/amazing Disney-Pixar movie.
10:18 1. The Nicelanders aren’t “Heroes” in any sense of the word. They’re ungrateful dependent side characters. 2. Fix-it-Felix, the actual Hero, didn’t do anything wrong. 3. I think Ralph would be a better entry for this list. He’s not _technically_ a hero, but in trying to be one, he caused a lot of trouble.
Tbh, Gene was a complete racist jerk towards Ralph, considering when Ralph came back Gene blames him for the videogame being hours away from getting unplugged. Not to mention I don’t think Gene or anyone else aside Felix ever apologized for stereotyping Ralph as a bad person because he’s the villain
They also tell Aurora she is not to see the guy she met in the woods again, without thinking to find out more about him first. Then later they arrive back at their cottage, to discover that the guy Aurora met in the woods actually WAS Prince Phillip, who has now been captured by Maleficent, and they finally realize they just did an incredibly stupid thing.
Not that arranged marriages (or falling in love at first sight, for that matter) are a good idea in the first place, but really what were the odds that this one random guy in the forest just so happened to actually be her arranged royal fiancé? Had they returned Aurora to the castle without Malificent's knowledge and successfully avoided the curse, the misunderstanding would've been cleared up easily enough.
They also let Aurora alone to cry by herself making Maleficent get a hold of her and then Aurora gets hypnotized and touches the spindle of the spinning wheel.
Compucles the only reason Maleficent knew about Aurora's return is because Diablo (her Raven) found out their location because of Flora and Merriwether's stupid argument.
I think it's debatable as to whether Mr. Incredible really made a mistake or not with how he dealt with Buddy Pine. I honestly put all the blame on Buddy for not learning how to deal with rejection from your hero, and not to be an obnoxious fanboy, as he grew up. He turned what could've been a great learning experience into a self-fulfilling prophecy and took out his bitterness on innocent people. That is the real mistake here.
I am surprised Tarzan is not on this list. He disobeyed Kerchak and unintentionally allowed Clayton to capture his gorilla family. Quasimodo is another one. He unintentionally led Frollo to the Court of Miracles.
Totally forgot about Tarzan, bringing the Porters right to the gorillas' nest out of a desire to get Jane to stay, thus showing Clayton exactly where to find the gorillas to capture them. Or how about Quasimodo in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, going to the Court of Miracles to warn the gypsies about Frollo, only to lead Frollo right to them.
Tbh Flora always seemed to be bossy. Considering I think she’s the one who gives Philip his shield and sword and is the one to manipulate the sword to strike her heart. I feel while Fauna might be a bit naive, Merrywether at least seemed to know more than Flora, and actually debated why Aurora had to marry her betrothed.
Simba should of been here because: Instead of running away back to pride rock, he watched Mufasa die and running to him allowed Scar to make him believe it was his fault and have him run away allowing Scar to turn the pride lands into ruin and in the Lion King 2, his bad parenting caused a war with the Outsiders
To quote a TV Trope: Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. Also, you left out when Quasimodo unknowingly lead Frollo to the Court Of Miracles, or when Tramp never told Lady about his past girlfriends.
Adding to this list: Tinker Bell, Peter Pan. Simple attempt to take back her place as Peter's favorite girl, that led both her and Wendy in hot water. Miguel Rivera, Coco. He really wanted to be a world famous musician, but rejecting Imelda's blessing only makes matters worse. Sulley, Monsters Inc. and Monsters University. In Monsters Inc, he tried to send Boo home, but got both him and Mike banished. In Monsters University, he tried to help the team win, but ended up getting both him and Mike expelled.
Austin Gorham, I agree with the first one, and I’m not trying to criticize you or anything..... But I disagree with you when you talk about the other two. Put yourself in Miguel’s shoes ( no pun intended). How would you feel if the people you love tried to take away what makes you happy? Sure, the lesson to Coco is family’s more important, but that doesn’t mean they should tell you who you should or shouldn’t be. It’s like how society dictates how others should think or feel. I like Coco, but I do wish you wouldn’t harsh on Miguel. If he hadn’t run away, he never would’ve met Hector, his REAL great great grandfather. Then there’s Sulley. I don’t blame him for he and Mike being banished, he didn’t know Mr. Waternoose had lied to him and manipulated him. And if Sulley had never met Boo, he would never have realized that what mike said about how there’s more to life than scaring was right. He had someone to care for, just like Mike did with Celia. In MU, he was brave enough to confess to Hardscrabble that he cheated in the last scare game. A few months ago at the university, he never would have thought of confessing he’d lied. That’s how it showed his character development. And the only reason he cheated and lied was that he was so afraid not to live up to his family’s and friends expectations. Like mike said to him, “ Stop being a Sullivan and start being you!” And when he went after Mike, I feel that he did the right thing - not as a student, but as a friend. I only wanted to share my opinion with your comment. I hope I didn’t make you feel bad. You can hate me all you want, but like I said: only my opinion.
@@ChelseatheCreativeFox-pc2xz , Thank you, I get what you’re saying. I just said that last part because I know (like all people on the internet.) that there are people on UA-cam - and pretty much anywhere - who can be REALLY harsh with their criticism. And I don’t like that! Right now, all I’m trying to say is that while I (and everyone, of course.) may not agree on other’s opinions, not everyone chooses a good way to express them. Haters are pretty much everywhere. But I’m grateful that you understand me. Once again, thank you.
@@disneyandpixarfanharrypott5336 As much as I love 95 % of what "Coco" gives us, I'm irked by how Miguel is prepared to give up music for his family (or really, he would have done it just to please Imelda). It is presented as a heart-warming beautiful moment, but he was basically agreeing to become unhappy and let the family stay toxic for no good reason. Yeah, that is not how the movie ended, and I must say that I like that Miguel at least insisted that the family would help Hector, or he wouldn't give Imelda any promises. And he still was the only one in the family, who dared to be sassy to Imelda. But that moment when Miguel was prepared to give up music shouldn't have been there, especially as there was a great scene earlier when he told Imelda that he shouldn't have to make a choice between his passion and his family.
7:38 true, she lost her ability to speak to communicate, but 1 BIG plot hole is she could've easily still communicated with Eric by writing a note. All she had to write is "It is me. However, I've lost my voice." She wouldn't have to mention Ursula or the fact she was a mermaid. A simple note of explanation and things would've been fine and Ursula's plan would've backfired on her big time
There's also Incredibles 2 where Bob got Tony mindwiped of Violet, lying to Helen about Jack-Jack having powers, and trying to handle the situation all by himself.
It wasn't because of Flora and Merryweather's strong disagreements of the color of Aurora's dress that causes all the trouble later, but the fact that the fairies forgot about the fireplace. If they remember to cover it as well, then the whole thing would have gone a lot smoother than it did.
10:20 technically it was only the nicelander’s fault 2:52 And on Flik’s defense, all of that could’ve been prevented if they gave his invention a chance 8:58 You do know that other supers did the same, to relive the glory days
Why would Flik and Ariel made things worse? Yes, I know it was a bad decision for Flik to lie to the ant colony about the circus bugs being warriors, but he did it for a good reason. He needed them to help fight off Hopper and his grasshopper army. But what happens after the ant colony learned the truth about the circus bugs? Atta banished Flik and the circus bugs away, only to for Hopper and his army to take over everything. So it was kinda Atta's fault for letting Hopper take over the ant island without Flik and the circus bugs around to help her and the other ants. And yes, I know it was a bad decision for Ariel to trust Ursula into accepting her deal to give up for voice to become human, but she only did that out of broken heart. If King Triton had listened to Ariel that Eric would have drowned if it weren't for her and hadn't destroyed her collection in her grotto, Ariel would have never listened to Ursula. So it was kinda Triton's fault for letting that happen. How else could Ariel have found a way to become human? Even still, they did learn from their mistakes.
Robin Hood: Pretty much the whole hero cast decides to do a mocking sing song about Prince John, which drives him over the deep end and puts Nottingham into a dark age. One of the worst things you can do in a cartoon is gloat about the bumbling villain being harmless, it almost always leads to them turning NOT SO harmless.
At first I don't know how to feel about Judy blaming predator biology in Zootopia, but upon rewatching the clip, I now realized that Judy's speech not only greatly hurts Nick's feelings, which prompts him into angrily abandoning her, but also causes harsh discrimination between predators and prey, further ruining the former's image in Zootopia which causes a guilt-ridden Judy, ashamed of what she has done, to quit her job in ZPD is indeed extremely upsetting to watch.
I'm surprised Elsa didn't make this list, because I'd argue that her never learning to control her powers definitely made things worse for her, Anna, and the entire kingdom of Arendelle
Though, really, her parents are to blame for that. They didn’t try to figure out a way for her to learn to control her powers. Instead, they ,are her feel like a freak, and made her hide her powers.
Honorable Mentions: *Marlin - Finding Nemo -His overprotective nature inadvertently drives Nemo away and lead to him being captured by divers. Fortunately, by the end, Marlin realizes there are times where we need to let go and let our children figure things out on their own, and he is able reunite with his son and patch things up with him. *Maui - Moana -In a misguided endeavor, he stole the heart of Te Fiti. Without the heart, Te Fiti became Te Ka. With some help from Moana, the two are able to restore the heart. *Alberto - Luca -Because of his fear of loneliness, Alberto lets his growing jealousy of Luca and Julia's friendship turn into possessiveness. In a last ditch effort, Alberto jumps into the water and reveals his true form right in front of Julia and Luca, only to be run out of Porto Rosso by Ercole and his gang when a panicked Luca cries "Sea Monster."
Aladdin actually made the wish for Genie to "MAKE ME A PRINCE!", so he should be a legitimate prince. He did cause problems by not freeing Genie, but he should have been an actual prince.
Yeah, but with how overwhelmed he was feeling by how fast everything was going, I imagine that Aladdin felt he needed to make sure Genie couldn't run off. He probably feared that if Genie were granted freedom, he'd be abandoned, and without Genie he didn't have the confidence to keep up the charade since he knew nothing about actually being a prince. Not to mention that with Genie around, he also had the insurance of that third wish in case it did wind up being needed for something else in relation to where his life was suddenly headed. Basically, the con was spiraling out of control, and Aladdin was panicking over it, and believed he needed Genie to get through that. Still, I think he could've handled it better, if he were thinking more clearly, and especially in hindsight. Maybe by saying that he can't wish for Genie's freedom yet, instead of implying that he can't at all. Or maybe even asked Genie if he'd be willing to stay around and help as a friend after being granted freedom, at least until Aladdin felt confident enough to keep going without him.
Since this list is essentially "Nice Job Breaking it, Hero" can we have a list where Villains actions actually made things better for our heroes. "Nice Job Fixing It, Villian."
Maui = stealing a magical heart of a goddess, he says he did it for good, but unfortunately he builds up a threat to Polynesia by turning Te Fiti into Te Ka (the lava demon) leaving Moana the chance to restore instead despite Maui doubting her ability to tame Te Ka and return her to beautiful plant based appearance. Even though it’s a mistake, it helps the heroine through her journey across the ocean Belle = She is a very respectable Disney Renaissance princess, her relationship with Beast is fun to watch on the big screen, but she also a made a mistake, in my opinion, Gaston might be a villain later in the story, and Belle’s rejection of his marriage proposals is the reason for his true colors to show.
In "The Tigger Movie" Tigger didn't make things better when he tried to help remove the rock off Eeyore's house and make everyone land in the mud all with his bouncing. And in "Springtime with Roo" when he showed Rabbit the past and make things worse.
If he let Buddy join him, he probably would have been charged with child endangerment if Buddy got hurt or killed. Crime fighting isn’t a game. It is very serious, life threatening business.
There’s Scamp, son of the Lady and the Tramp. In the Scamp comics and Lady and the Tramp 2, he’s always been seen as a mischievous but kind hearted pup, who’s always making a mess and getting on everyone’s nerves, especially his parents and sisters. But usually in the end, after helping a dog or a pup, he comes through and is praised as a hero by his friends.
Merida should've made the list, she's barely a hero throughout the whole thing, almost a sort of anti-hero. She wasn't brave either. She was incredibly annoying though.
Milo and Flik screw up so cringingly, but they're so we'll intentioned. It's not only forgivable, sometimes funny and makes them loveable. Aladdin's insecurity leads him to lie about himself and lands him in hot water. Bee yourself! Ariel didn't really screw up like the others. That's on Triton's find for being a crappy father. Ok, heroes aren't perfect. But that doesn't mean Syndrome is Bob's fault. Buddy would've been a crazy bastard no matter what Bob did
What about Maui from Moana? Te Ka wouldnt attack if only he didnt stole her heart Or Woody from ToyStory, if he could at first overcome his jealousness towards Buzz, neither him nor Buzz would have to face Sid, maybe buzz would be still delusional, but they would have to face sid.
In Mr. Incredible's defense, the one person that started the sues of the superheroes just did it because Mr. Incredible saved his life (which is something it was his duty to do) when he didn't wanted to, ending up being injured because of that. Not only that, but, because of the series of sues that he started and caused the superheroes to be banned, also led to the events of the second movie. Regarding Syndrome, it's true that Mr. Incredible did wronged Buddy, however, despite he was the catalyst for his ascention to villany, he can't fully be to blame for that as Syndrome did make his own choices.
The plot of Sleeping Beauty made no sense, if Aurora was in danger on her 16th Birthday, WHY SEND HER AWAY? She could spend the 15 years with her parents, they could TELL her of what happens, then take precautions to make her safe.... idiots.....
I know this is an older video, but I would’ve suggested adding Kenai from Brother Bear on this list. The entire catalyst of the film was the fact Kenai killed a bear out of revenge for his brother dying and got turned into a bear himself to learn a lesson on perspective. I’d say that’s a BIG mess up for Kenai.
What should be #1 tie: Kenai & Hiro Both of them wanted revenge for their brothers’ deaths, Kenai kills Koda’s mother and is punished by the spirits, while Hiro tries to kill Callaghan but it only led to him escaping
I'm not so sure I'd put Beast on the list. He had to break the curse by his 21st year. Meaning he had to still be 20 when Belle showed up. If they'd been cursed for ten years as implied in Be Our Guest, the enchantress cursed a ten year old for being rude. A punishment that seems just a little harsh. At least in the 2019 version they made it so he was clearly an adult when cursed. In any event, I don't think letting her go was a mistake. Actually that's probably what ultimately saved him. Could she have loved him if he made her stay while her father was ill and dying in a snowbank? Doubtful. His scaring her into fleeing could recommend him for the list, but then again he didn't exactly have heroic motives at that point. I'd actually argue that Belle should have taken his place on the list. She showed Beast in the mirror to the villagers, which *instantly* caused Gaston to rile them up to storm the castle. In her defense, they were about to cart her father off to the loony bin because he was raving about a beast, and proving Beast's existence proves his sanity and destroys any grounds they have to commit him. But still...showing a big scary animal to a mob who includes an egomaniacal hunter who likes hunting big scary animals, and who, by the way, is obsessed with the idea of marrying you and isn't going to like it if someone else is competing for your affection, is probably going to cause some problems. Also I think Maurice could have qualified for an honorable mention. He blows up his invention, ends up at the castle because he can't read a map, later bursts into the tavern raving about a beast which gives Gaston the idea to get him committed in order to blackmail Belle into marriage (granted anyone would be panicked if a giant chimera had imprisoned a loved one, and a giant chimera imprisoning a loved one does sound pretty out there), and his attempt to get back to the castle, which Belle sees in the mirror, is an epic fail. 2019 made Maurice less bumbling, but still, picking a rose on someone's private property might not be the best decision, especially when you know there's something weird about the castle and were in fact scared into fleeing moments earlier by a talking teacup.
Yeah, Alice doesn't deserve to be on this list at all. And what fun would it be if all Disney characters were now nothing but boring Mary Sues and Gary Stus with no flaws in them?
I'd like to say something in Flik and Ariel's defense. First off, none of those other ants really gave Flik and his inventions a fair chance. Also, they used Flik's idea of getting help as an excuse to send him away. That's basically why he came back with circus bugs in the first place. In Ariel's defense, Triton completely destroyed her treasured collection out of his hatred for humans. He provided Ursula with the emotional wreck she needed to take advantage of Ariel.
How the hell does this comment not have more likes?
I guess he was cursing the reast of the castle by letting her go...
@@Compucles I think asking her about her feelings to break the curse won't have worked. Part of the curse was that it only got broken by someone who volunterely loved him.
if you love someone, let them go.
that implies for the Beast and Triton
Whisper Dawn; “If you love someone, let them go. If they come back, they’re yours. If they don’t, they never were.”
This shouldve been called Top 10 Disney heroes who learned from their mistakes
Adding to the list:
Woody, Toy Story.
Even if that kind of information would've come from the most unreliable source(which BTW it didn't), that was just way too big to be ignored.
rase5994 come on now. We all know Mr. Potato Head is the one who started this hell
Woody also makes everything worse in Toy Story 3, by trusting Lots'O in the end and makes him and his friends almost get burnt until they safed by the CLLAAWWW aliens.
rase5994 but Li is not the hero
Being the hero doesn't always equal that you have to be the main character. Felix and the Nicelanders made it to the list, so I would think the captain of an imperial army counts.
Joy's treatment of the other emotions, especially Sadness, is a lesson in going denial crazy. YOU SHOULDN'T! Embrace the feels
or franly being delusional
With a hint of tyranny. Joy was pretty bossy
@@joybeale3039 strict as heck
I would argue that Triton was the goof in that film.
Ariel is curious and really likes human things. Instead of teaching her to safely explore her hobby, he instead destroys the stuff she loves. He drove her away and to Ursala.
He probably turned into the villain when he did all that
Guess parent of the year is not him. If there is one thing I gotta say about him, at least he's better than Gabriel Agreste.
Yah he did destroy the grotto and banish Ursula due to her appearance
@@devonted1018 who?
@@thomashuffman3237 He's the main antagonist of the French superhero series, Miraculous: Tails of Ladybug and Chat Noir.
I'd add Jack Skellington. He even has a song about his regrets for making everything worse.
There was a previous video about that.
Heroes are not people without a dark side, but ones that can overcome them, especially when it counts the most.
Early Ideas Studio. Now THAT was profound.
Apparently Pixar seems to do this more than Disney
Well said!
But they were able to make up for their mistakes. They're called HEROES for a reason.
Exactly, she acknowledged this; she didn't call it '10 Disney Heroes who made things worse and they never recovered'.
Tigertempertantrum good. I thought this whole list was gonna be calling out good characters for no reason.
Guess Syndrome just couldn't take rejection.
Good grief. 😧
@@devonted1018 I gave up trying to know why he wanted to be with Mr Incredible
I first thought Maui from Moana was going to be on this list. He stole the heart of Tefiti to use it as a gift for the mortals all across the world. However, he made it worse because he made Tefiti turn into Teka and many monsters appeared and islands were starting to disappear because of what he did. I know he wasn’t the real hero of the movie, which Moana was the one, but Maui was considered a hero by his people in the past.
Sponge Bob&FrozenFan3715 You’re absolutely right about that!
MrAcrizzy I know. Also, good thing we found each other here, dude!
Sponge Bob&FrozenFan3715 Yeah!
"Worse" is a relative term, though, implying that things were already somewhat bad to begin with. When the action directly causes the main problem at the very beginning of the movie, does it really count as making things worse?
Compucles It actually does, because according to one of the Villagers from Moana’s island, fish have been disappearing.
Melissa Treglia Exactly! Thank you!
And Adam’s ( Beast ) father caused his downfall. Children can easily be manipulated by the ones they think are good
The only perfect characters are the ones with flaws.
Maybe Judy should've been number 2.
Gerard Gianoli, II, Whatever you say,I just wanted to comment.
Flik is just the ONLY Ant who has stand up against The Mean Grasshoppers. Those fools Ants need to stand up for what's right.
Yeah!
Isaiah Daniel. Nah, it was more the nicelander with the mustache's fault.
His name was Eugene, lol
I don't know who else is at fault.
and yet they were mad he left.they complained he is there they complained when he isn't
That's what i love about these movies. It teaches all of us r mistakes and that not all disney characters r perfect.
Maytal Acedo the best characters are flawed ones.
We are all mistakes oof
Judy: I came to make the world a better place but I think I broke it...
I CAME IN LIKE A REEECKIN BAAALLLLL
Superibis yeah. At first I was actually confused as to why Nick was offended.
When she set things right at the end, did it cause prey animals to hate her for loving predators?
Superibis it’s not that she said they “seem to be inclined” to that behavior more than prey. It’s that she explicitly implied it was biological, like they’re all genetically predisposed to violence. It’s like people in the news claiming black people have supernatural strength “biologically” when they’re trying to support why they shot an unarmed black person in “self defense”. You focused on the wrong part of the speech. Wasn’t a misstep on Disney’s part. She stepped into discriminatory behavior with that line, not the one you highlighted, which you are right that there’s nothing wrong with it.
Booo
In Arial’s defense, her dad practically drove her to Ursula.
That's not an excuse.
*Ariel
Yea he destroyed the things that brought her joy and told her that passion was stupid
Yh and then Ariel repeated the same mistakes her father made with her own daughter. Clearly someone didn’t learn😂 tut tut tut Ariel
Elsa, Maui, and Woody are also good contenders for this list tho
teddybear1116 yess! I was looking for this comment! Name one movie hero who does not make things worse first?
Honestly, though, for Elsa, it wasn't 100% her fault. It was actually more the fault of her and Anna's parents. Instead of teaching her how to properly control her powers, they instead make her feel like a freak, and make her hide them, which only made Elsa's dilemma worse.

Ntm that Buddy's ego and stalkery behavior nearly cost him his own life
Of course they done wrong things but in the end they tried to send things right.
Judy wanted to make the world a better place instead she made it a lot worse. But in the end she made it all right.
You got that right!
To the fairies' credit though, the blue one does save Aurora's life by altering Maleficent's curse.
Simba should of been here because:
Instead of running away back to pride rock, he watched Mufasa die and running to him allowed Scar to make him believe it was his fault and have him run away allowing Scar to turn the pride lands into ruin and in the Lion King 2, his bad parenting caused a war with the Outsiders
To quote a TV Trope: Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. Also, you left out when Quasimodo unknowingly lead Frollo to the Court Of Miracles, or when Tramp never told Lady about his past girlfriends.
Idk about Tramp, but Li Shang is a good one bc his refusal to heed Mulan's warning led to the emperor being captured by Shan Yu and his soldiers.
I was surprised with #1, it was unpredictable.
I wasn't, I kinda had a feeling she was gonna be top in this list
Adding to this list:
Tinker Bell, Peter Pan.

One of my favorite disney videos❤
7:38 true, she lost her ability to speak to communicate, but 1 BIG plot hole is she could've easily still communicated with Eric by writing a note.
All she had to write is "It is me. However, I've lost my voice."
She wouldn't have to mention Ursula or the fact she was a mermaid. A simple note of explanation and things would've been fine and Ursula's plan would've backfired on her big time
Prince Naveen?
There's also Incredibles 2 where Bob got Tony mindwiped of Violet, lying to Helen about Jack-Jack having powers, and trying to handle the situation all by himself.
It wasn't because of Flora and Merryweather's strong disagreements of the color of Aurora's dress that causes all the trouble later, but the fact that the fairies forgot about the fireplace. If they remember to cover it as well, then the whole thing would have gone a lot smoother than it did.
10:20 technically it was only the nicelander’s fault

What about Pinocchio

Pinocchio is taken advantage of, though. Even when he figures out he doesn't wan't to do something - he's forced in it.
He Was Just Born
Mr. Incredible should've made Buddy his sidekick in the first place. He would've set an example for him and told him not to wear a cape.
Even if he did, he'd be annoyed by Buddy's constant cheerful, fanboyish attitude 😂
But, he'd be held accountable for Buddy's eventual death
Elsa. She just wanted everyone to be safe, but ended up leaving Arendelle in eternal winter.
I don‘t want to criticize your list, but I think that Merida should be on the top 10 than just only memorable mention.
Some Non Disney Characters Include Ted, Dr. Nefario, And Otto
That inside out scene makes me cry every time
At first I don't know how to feel about Judy blaming predator biology in Zootopia, but upon rewatching the clip, I now realized that Judy's speech not only greatly hurts Nick's feelings, which prompts him into angrily abandoning her, but also causes harsh discrimination between predators and prey, further ruining the former's image in Zootopia which causes a guilt-ridden Judy, ashamed of what she has done, to quit her job in ZPD is indeed extremely upsetting to watch.
It was her parents’ fault. They taught Elsa to be afraid of who she is and suppress her powers instead of controlling them.

Judy Hopps is one of my favorite Disney heroes!
In Flik's defense, they wanted to get rid of him anyway so...
A bug's life is so frickin underated I love it
Hay! At least Felix tried to be nice to Ralph
Before I watch this, given that other list your brothers did, I'm betting Joy's in the top three.
The thing is : Aladdin made it up to everyone and made Everything better
Tarzan could've been on this list, he gave Clayton the location of the gorilla's. He basically got Kerchak killed.
What I cannot understand is why TRAMP is not on this list?
Since this list is essentially "Nice Job Breaking it, Hero" can we have a list where Villains actions actually made things better for our heroes. "Nice Job Fixing It, Villian."
I love a bugs life ❤️
Merriwether and Fauna should've made the dress purple.
Even though it’s a mistake, it helps the heroine through her journey across the ocean
Belle = She is a very respectable Disney Renaissance princess, her relationship with Beast is fun to watch on the big screen, but she also a made a mistake, in my opinion, Gaston might be a villain later in the story, and Belle’s rejection of his marriage proposals is the reason for his true colors to show.
No clip of Aladdin saying, "This is all my fault. I should've freed the genie when I had the chance!"?
I can relate to the beast and syndrome, and might I add the other emotions were jerks to sadness
DEMON LLAMA!!!!
DEMON LLAMA!!?? WHERE!?
(screams)
You all made my day🤣🤣
Crybaby Oh great! Oh and, by the way, you're fired.
BeanBag343 fired?! What do mean by fired???
In "The Tigger Movie" Tigger didn't make things better when he tried to help remove the rock off Eeyore's house and make everyone land in the mud all with his bouncing. And in "Springtime with Roo" when he showed Rabbit the past and make things worse.
I Think Roo Made Things Worse in The Tigger Movie
Woody should have been on this list
I know someone worse
If Mr. Incredible gave Buddy a chance, he wouldn't have become Syndrome, and all the other supers would still be alive and active.
If he let Buddy join him, he probably would have been charged with child endangerment if Buddy got hurt or killed. Crime fighting isn’t a game. It is very serious, life threatening business.
@@thomashuffman3237 Facts!! Buddy failed to prove his valor when he didn't pay attention to the bomb attached to his cape.
4:59 When the teacher catches you and your friend skiping class and your friend sells you out XD
To be fair to most of these heroes they had no idea their actions would cause these kinds of problems.
Top 10 Underrated Lana Del Rey songs, please.

Me: Wow Watchmojo, that’s Pixar.
Great video! You always succeed to come up with new ideas I have never though of!
You have to remember that some of these people on this list were deceived, even the smartest most kindest people can be deceived.
Merida should've made the list, she's barely a hero throughout the whole thing, almost a sort of anti-hero. She wasn't brave either. She was incredibly annoying though.
She blames everyone else for her mistakes and takes no responsibility for any of it until the movie is almost over.
Te Ka wouldnt attack if only he didnt stole her heart
Or Woody from ToyStory, if he could at first overcome his jealousness towards Buzz, neither him nor Buzz would have to face Sid, maybe buzz would be still delusional, but they would have to face sid.
But Woody's Story Was A Redemption Story Cause He Treats Buzz Better At The End
My man Kuzco's on this list. You just got a New Subscriber ✏️😉 😉
And Mr Potato Head
What should be #1 tie: Kenai & Hiro
Both of them wanted revenge for their brothers’ deaths, Kenai kills Koda’s mother and is punished by the spirits, while Hiro tries to kill Callaghan but it only led to him escaping
I know Merida made things worse by turning her mom into a bear and Fergus almost killed her, but how did Alice make things worse
Judy Hopps is Not a dumb bunny.
How
Some of these are the best heroes Disney ever concieved
To quote TV Tropes: Nice job breaking it, hero.
Garth Davis nobody is perfect
Nobody's perfect even in Disney.
Yeah, Alice doesn't deserve to be on this list at all. And what fun would it be if all Disney characters were now nothing but boring Mary Sues and Gary Stus with no flaws in them?
@@Disneyfan82 Because these woke peoples fear Disney may get its own God of Destruction Beerus or Zamazu
What about Pocahontas and Quasimodo? They made some big mistakes too.
Man i love your videos a lot on here i have seen all of them on vhs/dvds
The fate of the world sometimes lands in the hands of an idiot.
10 cartoon characters hero that make things worse.
