Sure, even though I like some of those characters, like Agnarr and Iduna, Claude Frollo and Scar. But I was expecting Buck Cluck to be on the list; he's definitely a terrible father, neglecting Chicken Little and telling him bad lessons. 😡
While I can agree that what Lady Tremaine and her daughters did to Cinderella throughout her life which was utterly despicable, I believe that Scar definitely outdid the three of them combined by killing his own brother, convincing his young nephew that he was the cause of his father’s death, and pushing the pridelands to the brink of starvation and ruin.
Buck Cluck from Chicken Little definitely should've been added to the list. And at least his redemption here is massively better than Animus in power rangers wild force. Animus took away the wild zord. And what's his apology/redemption after giving them back? Well he claims that it was all a test to see if the rangers are truly dedicated to their name as power rangers

Abuela Alma (Encanto) - Puts so much pressure on much of her family members who do have powers, ostracizes Mirabel for not having powers, and demonizes her own son just because his visions weren’t all flowers and happy sunshine. 4. King Triton (The Little Mermaid) - Destroys Ariel’s belongings, but also makes an arbitrary anti-music law after the death of his wife, and imprisons innocent people. 5. Lady Tremaine and Drizella. What MsMojo said. True, Anastasia was involved in it, but at least she had a redemption arc. 6. Abuelita (Coco) - Again, makes an arbitrary anti-music rule and tries to suppress Miguel’s dreams. 7. Buck Cluck (Chicken Little) - Neglects his son at any chance he gets just to maintain a good reputation. 8. Queen Elinor (Brave) - Tries too hard to mold Merida into what she wants her to be, and doesn’t listen to any grievances (hell, in one scene, Merida is grunting in pain because of a corset, but Elinor completely ignores it). 9. George Darling - Berates his children, mostly Wendy, for the Peter Pan stories. Seriously, dude. Let the kids enjoy their youth. 10. It’s crazy knowing in the original novel, Frollo is an archdeacon rather than a judge. Corruption in the church is a major theme in the book and was/a major issue in the real world (abusive priests, homophobia, xenophobia, etc.)
@@disneygirl3630 I am so sorry, it’s despicable what has been done to the Native Americans here and in Canada, I pray the children of the future will grow up in a world where every culture is accepted and respected.
I don't agree with King Agnarr and Queen Iduna being on the list. They clearly loved their daughters. They may have made a mistake in how they responded to Elsa's powers, but they were trying to help her. There's a difference between being a bad parent and not knowing what to do in a situation.
Another mistake they made was misunderstanding Pabbie's words, that fear would be Elsa's enemy. What he actually meant, was Elsa's _own_ fear, not the fears of those _around_ her
Agnarr and Iduna should've at least had both their daughters meet weekly in the castle courtyard or even exchange letters so that their relationship wouldn't be in shambles by the time they reach adulthood.
If you watch Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Anna made an Olaf themed item for Christmas for about before their parents’ death for Christmas and gave them to Elsa
How about the Rivera’s from Coco. They refused to let Miguel play music because they think it’s a curse. The grandmother ought to be the worst out of the music-hating family. She’s severely overprotective of her grandson and goes as far as to destroying his guitar. Some family they are.
There are also the dead relatives, especially Imelda who initiated the ban in the first place. Even when her great-grandson was in the Land of the Dead, she was too stubborn to give him the blessing he deserved.
The wicked stepfamily is definitely one of the worst, I'd so pick a fight with them. Scar definitely tops them all, he killed his own brother and manipulated his own nephew, he definitely deserved to be eaten alive by the hyenas
you're mistaken, "Ever After" is the first media depiction with a decent non-cliché stepsister all Cinderella stories throughout world history have cruel stepmother & stepsister/s
Aunt Sarah: NEVER abuse pets, especially dogs, that AREN'T YOURS!!!! The Treamaines: NEVER let jealousy get the better of you so much that you make your stepchild do all the business that you yourself have the more higher authority to do on your own! And DON'T take back things you discarded that were once yours. Especially just because someone else takes them afterwards! Gothel: NEVER kidnap or hide away kids with magical hair for your own selfish needs, including eternal youth. George Darling: NEVER, EVER berate your own kids for liking fantasy stuff, especially when it turns out said fantasies are REAL and in front of you all this time!! You can't force them to act older than they already are! Nor can you force your own beliefs onto them!!! That's against the rules of childhood!!!! Let them enjoy their youth while they can! That's how it works!! King Triton: NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, EVER tarnish or destroy your youngest child's dreams and needs!!!! Just because you hate what she's into. Never force others to hate what you already dislike! Even if you can't get over what they did to you back then. Move on from it, forget about it, and let the offspring enjoy it and prove to you that it's NOTHING of the bad sort! You can't EVER hate a specific whole topic just because one part of it is bad. If that one section of it is evil, doesn't make it ALL wrong!! It's NOT how it works!!!!!
I don't think Kerchack deserves this. He wasn't wrong. Tarzan is not his son. His son died and his wife just adopted a whole different species of creature in an attempt to fill the hole.
But they adopted Tarzan which means Tarzan is both Kala and Kerchack adopted son. He just doesn’t trust him and accepting him as part of the family, until the end of a movie. Although Tarzan did save him from that killer leopard 🐆 Sabor and Tarzan came back to save everyone and before he died, he finally excepting Tarzan as his son and putting him in charge as leader of the gorilla colony and when Tarzan was a kid, Kerchack fights Turblat for his family but that evil gorilla was trying to kill him, when Tarzan saved him by throwing coconuts at the evil gorilla.
@@dakotahrednour5245 I don't remember Kerchack being consulted before Kala just showed up with a human baby. Did I miss a scene? Also, Tarzan's 'adoption' led directly to Kerchack' death...
Cant believe Buck Cluck wasn’t on this list! Not even an honourable mention!!! Also, this list might aswell be from the late 10’s because guess which magical matriarch is absent!!!!!!
I'm surprised Abuela (Spanish for "grandmother") from Encanto wasn't on this list! She kept everyone away from and said that they "don't talk about" Bruno--the one person who held the answer to everything that was happening!
Ugh, the wicked step family in "Cinderella" is the absolute worst! 😣 Although Anastasia redeemed herself in the sequels, I still hate the way she and the others treated Cinderella in the first film. 😒
Both grandmas from Coco and Encanto should have been here for how oppressive they were to their grandkids for who they were Miguel was right to run away from his family for their lack of support for music and Mirabel definitely had what no one else in her family did. A spine and backbone to stand up for herself
@@SophieCrane-o7v syria0110 is correct, in the original Grimm's tale she is indeed Snow White's biological mother. Later versions of the tale make her the stepmother.
If we’re gonna count bad relatives in Disney TV animated shows, then I’d include Heinz Doofensmirtz’s parents from Phineas and Ferb, Star Butterfly’s mother Moon from Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Amity Blight’s mother Odalia from The Owl House, and Demona, Goliath’s ex-spouse and Angela’s mother from Gargoyles.
What about Belos? He's essentially Hunter (and maybe Vee)'s father, he was legally Hunter's uncle, and he was the biggest piece of shit in recent Disney media (keep in mind there are versions of DC supervillains Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy who were disgusted to the point of murder by people who literally did less* awful things to children than what Belos did to any child he met. So, yeah, that is not that much of an hyperbole). *: Less as in numerical quantity, not morality-wise.
Scar being #1 spot on!! He kills his own brother for power and for much of the film convinces his nephew HE was responsible for it, and there by nearly destroying young Simba's life forever. Nevermind the fact he destroyed the pride lands. He is also BRILLIANTLY voiced by Jeremy Irons.
Lady and the tramp was the first film that Burny Mattinson had work on for animation and a Disney legend. He actually worked for the studio from 1953 to 2023, The film “Wish” is honing to be dedicated to him. RIP😔
Amos may not have deserved Tod’s loyalty at the end, but if you think about it, he also didn’t deserve to die for wanting to hunt him down and neither did Copper. So it made sense for him to save their lives.
So… should we count Preston Northwest, Odalia Blight, Moon Butterfly, King Aldrich Leviathan and Matias Torres as the worst parents too? And Emperor Belos, don’t forget him.
Anastasia Tremaine should be taken off this list, she got redeemed in Cinderella’s sequels. And is usually redeemed in alternate takes from Disney, like in “Once Upon A Time”.
It's much worse when the villain is part of the main character's family, I'm not saying everyone on the list are villains.Scar, Gothel, Lady Tremaine, Buck Chuck and Tia Sarah are the worst for me I can only forgive to Triton, The Great Prince of the forest (by his role in the sequel) and the Elsa and Anna's parents
I’m surprised Odalia Blight isn’t even an honourable mention, she sold out the entirety of the boiling Isles on the belief it would advance her family’s status disregarding what her family actually wanted or the danger it put them in
6:42--Excellent point, especially since Lady Tremaine made no effort to stop Drizzella and Anastasia from tearing the dress apart until after the damage was done to it!
I definitely agree with these pics, what a great top to start off this week. Happy monday morning, Jen. Take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Had a feeling Scar would be number one, but I feel Cassim from the third Aladdin movie deserved an honorable mention. Why? Because he left his wife and son for treasures. And he must've left when Aladdin was very young in order to be surprised by the Oracle and say "My father is alive?" We also see Aladdin was a young boy when he started taking care of himself after losing his mother. And it doesn't seem like Cassim tried very hard to find him. My only guess is he assumed Aladdin died too. But he also went back with Aladdin to Agrabah under mostly false pretenses to steal the Oracle again. He could have just asked for it after the wedding! He might have made good choices near the end of the movie. But that does not erase the fact Aladdin grew up alone while needing to steal to survive. Also, fun fact the third film originally was supposed to have Aladdin and Mozenwrath find out they are brothers. But no one could get a hold of his voice actors, so we got long-lost dad instead. And speaking of the cartoon series, Jasmine and Aladdin were dating. But he still lives in his hovel home in the city. Why doesn't he get a spare room in the palace? His girlfriend is the princess! The heck.
@@nancyomalley6286 yeah the way she looked was terrifying but the way she acted when she put the potion together was Great and the way she said “look my hands” was great
It’s kind of funny her hag disguise is also a perfect representation of the type of person she is on the inside. Even if it was just a disguise, it’s almost like she was exposing her true form.
@@hunterolaughlin yeah like when Disney does it’s twist villains like dawn bellwether, king candy who where revealed to be something different on the inside
Okay so much wrong here 1: There was a deleted scene from Frozen 2 of Elsa finding a memory revealing her parents secretly planned to tell Anna the truth when they returned from their trip 2: Kerchak wasn’t a perfect father figure but the dude suffered a tragedy and even sacrificed himself for Tarzan in the end 3: The great prince doesn’t even go here as he’s supposed to be mysterious and elusive like a guardian (but he STILL raised his son after the tragedy)
0:41 to 1:32 there is a book by Mari Mancusi titled Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr. As the title suggests it focuses on two perspectives of the young lives of Iduna and Agnarr.
I agree with: Amos Slade, Aunt Sarah, Hopper, Hades, Lady Tremaine, Mother Gothel, Evil Queen, Frollo and Scar. But I disagree with: Queen Iduna and King Agnarr, George Darling, the Great Prince, Kerchak and King Trition.
I've seen Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time, but I've never seen Cinderella 2. I recall in number 2 Anastasia falls in love with the baker, but Lady Tremaine was against it because she wanted her to marry a man in a higher social class.
Probably because she's not as much of a "larger-than-life" villain, but a lot more like actual evil people that many of us have dealt with in our lives.
It's no big surprise that Aunt Sarah's cats weren't around when the rat was in the nursery. I remember my Grandma's cats were useless when she had rats in her cellar! Like Tramp, my dog Aggie killed all the rats in the cellar!
The following I got from the Disney villains lookback from "Colin looks back" here on UA-cam. Originally, there were scenes planned, during which the cats literally fled from the rat. However, there was also a scene planned, in which they were the ones to "tell" the family about the dead rat, therefore helping Tramp and giving them some sort of redemption.
In the actual legends of Hercules. It wasn’t hades after him. It was the wife of his father. But Disney wanted Zeus/hera to seem like a wholesome family.
When I was little and even still to this day, Scar from The Lion King gives me the creeps! He is like Claudius from Hamlet, both of them murdered their nephews' dads to take the throne. The evil queen from Snow White also gave me the creeps too!
And if you go watch the third Little Mermaid movie, you'll find that a lot of his actions stem from the fear of losing Ariel the same way he lost his wife
What about the newer ones who are pampered by Disney ? - The Riveras from Coco: Those music hating yahoos are more like a cult than a family. Special mention to Abuelita Elena and the cult founder: Imelda, who are the bane to Miguel's existence. - Alma Madrigal from Encanto: Just because she lost her husband from a revolutionary war, doesn't mean she has the right to treat her special gifted family members like slaves, and Mirabel and Bruno like nobodies. - Ming Lee from Turning Red: This crazy woman refused to let her child fly out of the nest. And also minding her own business. - Jaeger Clade from Strange World: He would make Buck Cluck father of the year. - Bernie Lumen from Elemental: He should have learned not to hold his own prejudice and not every child can take over of their outdated legacy.
Buck wasn't the best father, and I don't approve of how he treated Chicken Little and didn't stick up for him until the near-ending. Tho I think losing his wife and his son's mother, Chloe, did leave Buck with considerable uncertainty, as he twice noted Chloe would have known how to handle the problems her husband and son were having. It duzent excuse how Buck caved to peer pressure and actually contradicted CL in front of the townsfolk in a vain effort to save face, and even his apology felt insufficient. Still, I enjoyed the movie and was glad that Buck Cluck and Chicken Little repaired their bond
I fully disagree with the Great Prince of The Forest being onn this list, although, yes, Bambi didn't know he was his father but to GP fawns were to be raised by their mothers. However, when Bambi's mom gets killed, he is the first one to find and raise his own son, even without counting the second one as canon, we can see at the end of the first movie, when Bambi's children are born, GP is still there and steps down for his son to take his place. And the saddest realization is, that he actually spent more time with his dad than he got with his mom. But I think, GP is one of the best fathers in the Disney canon.

Scar is the goat villain in animated movies , which also makes The Lion King one of the greatest animated movie as well
Agreed.
It’s crazy knowing in the original novel, Frollo is an archdeacon rather than a judge. Corruption in the church is a major theme in the book and was/a major issue in the real world (abusive priests, homophobia, xenophobia, etc.)
The hunchback of notredame reminds me of what my people went and go through as native Americans

What he actually meant, was Elsa's _own_ fear, not the fears of those _around_ her
@@okamireader5 I consider all that as part of the same mistake.
@@okamireader5 Sounds like a "You the Romans shall kill" mistake
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
If Elsa had controls her power sooner none of this would’ve happened and that way her parents would still be alive.
Agnarr and Iduna should've at least had both their daughters meet weekly in the castle courtyard or even exchange letters so that their relationship wouldn't be in shambles by the time they reach adulthood.
They always take care of both of their daughters. But if Elsa ever has Control her powers her parents would still be alive.
Not to mention, it was the trolls who gave them that advice…
If you watch Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Anna made an Olaf themed item for Christmas for about before their parents’ death for Christmas and gave them to Elsa
If you have watched the frozen Christmas thing(i forget what it’s called) they do actually exchange letters and small gifts at Christmas
That only happened because Elsa was terrified of hurting Anna again. Because nobody helped her work through her emotions
When I was a kid, I always said that Buck was a bad father for not accepting his own son even after he lost his wife
Anastasia had a change of heart while Drizella remained cruel to Cinderella.
In some versions of Cinderella, 1 of the step sisters is nice and the other is mean
We “technically” (sorta) did get that in the sequels

Frozen turns 10 in exactly one week from today, and A Bug's Life turns 25 in five days.
Triton. CALLED IT!!
Abuela Madrigal totally belongs on this list....
Buck Cluck From Chicken Little is Definitely an Dishonorable Mention. At least Buck Admits his Flaws and has a lot to learn.
King Runeard should have been here instead of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna.
Buck Cluck should be on the list. He's a terrible father. He threw his own son under the bus twice.
You forgot Alma from encanto. Not someone to invite to thanksgiving dinner cuz you don’t need that judgey stare

What’s worse about the live action’s version of the destruction of Ariel’s grotto, he tells her to never leave again
Ugh, the wicked step family in "Cinderella" is the absolute worst! 😣 Although Anastasia redeemed herself in the sequels, I still hate the way she and the others treated Cinderella in the first film. 😒
Yeah, what did Cinderella ever do to them?
Both grandmas from Coco and Encanto should have been here for how oppressive they were to their grandkids for who they were
Miguel was right to run away from his family for their lack of support for music and Mirabel definitely had what no one else in her family did. A spine and backbone to stand up for herself
What makes The Evil Queen even worse is the fact that in the original Grimm's tale, she's Snow White's biological mother
Really?! That’s awful!
Not True, She's Snow White Stepmother.
Make her dance in red hot iron shoes
@@SophieCrane-o7v syria0110 is correct, in the original Grimm's tale she is indeed Snow White's biological mother. Later versions of the tale make her the stepmother.
Never knew that,sad.
Still wondering how Heinz’s mom didn’t show up for his birth. Like did she just push him and leave 🤔
Anastasia and Drizella never fail to make me laugh so hard!! 😂 😂
King Triton later regretted his decision to make his point. He is not entirely a bad father. Just overwhelmed and superstitious in my opinion.
Mother Gothel;
Kidnapped the princess to keep her as a youth potion.
Even abandoned her OWN daughter in the series. Now, that’s heartbreaking
Some mother she is to poor Cassandra. Shame on her that heartless cow 🐮.
I don't think their Disney-themed week videos will involve Disney channel cartoons. And don't forget about Queen Moon & King Andrias' ancestors
Yes Belos is a horrible parental figure, but he is such a fantastic villain.

And also Marcy Wu's Parents and Sasha Waybright's alcoholic mother from Amphibia.
Heck, if Marvel is in this situation, then Thanos and Ego would make great contenders.
Anastasia Tremaine should be taken off this list, she got redeemed in Cinderella’s sequels. And is usually redeemed in alternate takes from Disney, like in “Once Upon A Time”.
Well, that story was unnecessary.
I like A BUG’S LIFE and I love HERCULES and the honorable mention of LUCA.
It's much worse when the villain is part of the main character's family, I'm not saying everyone on the list are villains.Scar, Gothel, Lady Tremaine, Buck Chuck and Tia Sarah are the worst for me
I can only forgive to Triton, The Great Prince of the forest (by his role in the sequel) and the Elsa and Anna's parents
At least Triton realized his guilt and questioned what he has done.
@@gameoholic1994Yes, Airal's father did.

Maybe if MsMojo makes a worst Disney Channel family members, that would put her there.

Cinderella's step family are terrible after Cinderella's parents died and that's sad to see happened to Cinderella and that's heartbroken
*MsMojo:* (about Hades) Who wants to compete for "Worst Uncle Ever"?
*Scar:* BE PREPARED!!!!
Had a feeling Scar would be number one, but I feel Cassim from the third Aladdin movie deserved an honorable mention. Why? Because he left his wife and son for treasures. And he must've left when Aladdin was very young in order to be surprised by the Oracle and say "My father is alive?"
We also see Aladdin was a young boy when he started taking care of himself after losing his mother.
The heck.
Hot-headed Hades? Ahem. Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog is ALWAYS hot headed

Okay so much wrong here
1: There was a deleted scene from Frozen 2 of Elsa finding a memory revealing her parents secretly planned to tell Anna the truth when they returned from their trip
2: Kerchak wasn’t a perfect father figure but the dude suffered a tragedy and even sacrificed himself for Tarzan in the end
3: The great prince doesn’t even go here as he’s supposed to be mysterious and elusive like a guardian (but he STILL raised his son after the tragedy)
George Darling was not that bad in the cartoon. He was just upset because he could've been seriously hurt.
0:41 to 1:32 there is a book by Mari Mancusi titled Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr. As the title suggests it focuses on two perspectives of the young lives of Iduna and Agnarr.
Gothel lied to Rapunzel and she’s been lying ever since she kidnapped her.
When you were talking about Hades: "Who wants to compete for worst uncle ever" Someone later on the list
I would also like to recommend Alma Madrigal from Encanto
Yes msmojo, bit lets not forget that one of her stepsisters escaped her wicked ways! Anyone seen Cinderella 2 dreams come true?
Anyone seen Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time?
I've seen Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time, but I've never seen Cinderella 2. I recall in number 2 Anastasia falls in love with the baker, but Lady Tremaine was against it because she wanted her to marry a man in a higher social class.
Obviously by my comment, I've seen cinderella 2 and I'm about to see cinderella 3 in a few minutes!
Yeah…Frollo would be the worst person to ask to say Grace .
I REALLY can't stand Mother Gothel. Even the Stepmother from Cinderella isn't quite as nauseating.
Probably because she's not as much of a "larger-than-life" villain, but a lot more like actual evil people that many of us have dealt with in our lives.
Don’t forget Elena Riveva from Coco she abounded music and just crush his grandson guitar.
It's a shame it took Kerchak dying for him to accept Tarzan as his son.
R.I.P. David Ogden Stiers and Tony Jay The Archdeacon and Judge Frollo are now in Heaven 😭😭😭😭😢😢😢

Mufasa's cry as he falls to his death will haunt me forever. One of the saddest movie deaths of all time.
In the actual legends of Hercules. It wasn’t hades after him. It was the wife of his father. But Disney wanted Zeus/hera to seem like a wholesome family.
Mufasa brought his brother's hatred for him on himself
You know……… Anastasia did redeem herself in the sequels
Scar will always be the top villian
When I was little and even still to this day, Scar from The Lion King gives me the creeps! He is like Claudius from Hamlet, both of them murdered their nephews' dads to take the throne. The evil queen from Snow White also gave me the creeps too!
Molt might be Hopper’s brother but he’s done nothing evil throughout the movie
King Triton "destroys Ariel's things to make sure she doesn't leave"...but immediately regrets it. He wasn't that bad after all.
And if you go watch the third Little Mermaid movie, you'll find that a lot of his actions stem from the fear of losing Ariel the same way he lost his wife
Exactly! Although it was an accident…
He just didn’t want to lose anymore of his family
That's 1 of the things I don't like about the live action version; he doesn't seem to give a shit in that scene.😑

I mean, Buck Cluck definitely wasn't the perfect father, I know that. But at the same time, he wasn't downright terrible. He still loved his son.
Even in the sequel when he’s voiced by Patrick Stewart
Gothel even hates her real daughter.
In Bambi's dad's defense, that's how nature is in reality, and the movie IS based on a book written in a time when harsh realism was the norm.
Alma should have been on the list.
I agree
You did Copper so dirty……he was a sweet heart, he was just trained to do what hound dogs do
Ursula, Dr. Fazille(Prince and frog), Maleficent, Gaston....Cmon...bring it!
In Bambi 2 father deer showed himself from best side
even when I saw Frozen when I heard that from the King and Queen I was Literally going "What Are You, X-Men Parents?? That's a TERRIBLE Plan?"
All those Disney characters who had mean relatives, I feel their pain. I have a mean conning grandmother, and a mean aunt. So yeah I feel their pain
What sort of pain do they have?
