For everyone who wants this hoodie order a size up it fits right af
I agree, I am a large and got a XL one for Christmas and it fits perfectly
That's a badass hoodie
the built quality of this hoodie is great, however I am quite concerned about the elbow protectors as the sleeves feel pretty loose (or at least in my case having thin arms) so I can imagine them moving away even before hitting the ground… I have size S and I think that the protector size is universal so they also feel quite huge, shoulders are spot on and having the nucleon kr-2i in the back feels smooth and holds in it’s place perfectly
This is a casual piece of protection. If you want something more technical you will need to go with a proper jacket. IMO this is a great option for short rides when some riders prefer not to wear a jacket. - Van
I love it. I was about to get the speed and strength, but not anymore.
I really like this hoodie a lot. IMO it is much nicer than the one offered by Speed and Strength. - Van
I got the speed and strength one and the colors faded in 6 months or less. I'll be buying this one in the fall
I absolutely love the hoodie would go well with my a stars track gloves !
Please please please make a comparison video
A stars chrome
Icon merc stealth
A stars domino tech
Please stg they’re all so badass but I can only afford 1
How does this compare to the Domino Tech Shell Hoodie also listed on your site? I am considering purchasing one of the two.
I was wondering how is the wind protection on the hoodie. I'm not expecting it to be good for winter but is it any good for a early summer morning? Thank you
I think it will help in some cool morning rides a bit. Not as effective as a textile jacket but better than a mesh for sure. - Van
Would u recommend this or a normal summer jacket like the Dainese Dinamica Air D Dry? Leaning towards this hoodie for price and looks, but don't know if it will be too hot for the summer as it has no ventilation. Thanks!
We no longer offer Dainese here so I have not seen any of their products for the last few years. - Van
Cool keep safe
Thank you for watching! - Van
Hey Van! Do you recommend it for hot summer weather? I'm from Puerto Rico and here is summer all year about 90° F.
I think a mesh jacket would be a better option for you. - Van
I like to push the sleeves up on my hoodies, I have a cruisemissile S&S hoodie and that's one of the things i don't like about it is that the sleeve openings are so tight that you can't push the sleeves up without it sqeezing the crap out of your forearms. Are the sleeve openings on this like a normal hoodie or is there some kind of reenforcenent thread that prevents it like on the cruise missile?
IMO the cuffs are not overly tight and you should be able to push them up a bit. - Van
Thanks for the reply
This is actually my go to daily anymore. It offers a bit of protection within reason but isn't overkill.
I personally don't ride like a lunatic on the street(anymore) and as I got older I have downsized the displacement of my bikes. I enjoy flicking a lightweights around corners more than setting all our straight line land missile blitz run records anymore.
For commuting and general riding this is really a great option especially once you toss in the back protection.
If I decide to ride a bit more aggressively on the street I simply opt for my T Missile.
This is exactly what these types of jackets are intended for. Happy to hear you enjoy riding in it. - Van
Could this take place of a riding jacket in summer time in Texas or would it be to hot? I'm looking for a summer jacket as of now but this looks like something I'd rather use.
It is not windproof so it should flow some air when you are riding. That said I would personally go with a mesh jacket in Texas. Check out the new Alpinestars T-GP Plus R V3 Air Jacket. Here is a link to this on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/alpinestars-t-gp-plus-r-v3-air-jacket/ - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Thank you!
Hey Vance, how would you wash this? Presumably you would have to take the armour out but it seems to be stitched in?
The armor can be removed so that is a no issue. I would wash this as much as you feel it needs to be to be honest. I would try not to kill it in the dryer though. - Van
Can you do the RST X Kevlar Frontline CE Jacket?
Sorry that is not a model we plan to import. - Van
I tried one on in a local store so you know what the elastic band is for in the sleeve?
You take that band and stretch it over your thumb. It's to keep the sleeve from sliding down while riding.
Hey Van, I’m about to order Thai jacket but I’m tore in the size for this…. I usually wear a 2x but I’ve been reading to go up a size since this is in euro size…. What would you recommend because my measurements go between 2x and 3x from what the size chart says thanks in advanced
Sorry for the late response on this one. I would say this one runs really true to size. Here in the US these are sold in alpha sizes. I wear an XL and get the fit I expected. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thanks for the reply I placed an order and got my size for me thanks
Hey van. Im 183cm and weight 93kg. Do u think an XL size will fit for me. Its looks perfectly nice on you.
How’s the zipper? I’m wanting to get this but I’m worried about the zipper scratching my tank up when I’m leaned over on it since I do ride a sport bike thanks in advance
With the thickness of the hoodie on both sides of the zip I do not think you will have any issues with tank scratches. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thanks Van I’m undecided on both the alpinestars hoodies I like this one because of the black color but was undecided by the zipper
Dan could you please advise, I would like to wear this hoodie on top of my TechAir5 vest (size M). I have few Alpinestars techair compatible jackets all in size M. Shall I get same size hoodie or bigger?
The hoodie has plenty of stretch built in, no need to change sizes IMO. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Many thanks Van
An old one, but I like this.
Thanks for watching! - Van
Can you remove the elbow and shoulder protectors and upgrade to level 2 ?
You will need to pick protectors that are similar in size to those already in the Hoodie. - Van
Hey Van, I wanna buy the hoodie but I'm so confused about the size. I'm about your size, but I'm debating if I want the 2xl. And can I wear this in the summer? Or is it too warm for it?
I wear a size large in this hoody. - Van
Did you guys ever came out with a second part?
Sorry we did not. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear all good thanks,love your video’s
Does it come with the armour
It includes Level 1 CE-certified Bio Lite shoulder and elbow protectors for protection against impacts and has a pocket to accept the Alpinestars CE back inserts. - Van
Hi Van, I'm 5'8 145lbs, what size would you recommend for me? Not sure whether to go Medium or Large, too afraid Large might look too big for my height? Thanks
I would suggest a small if you want a close fit and a medium if you prefer a looser fit. - Van
How would it be in the heat
This will allow air to flow through it when you are riding and be relatively cool. - Van
is this good for winter?
Well that really depends on your winter. Winter in Arizona or Florida odds are this will be great. Here in Michigan not so much. - Van
Does the armor come with it if I buy it online ?
The armor we show in the video is included with the Hoodie. - Van
Does this have belt loops?
No this does not have belt loops to attach to your pants. - Van
Hey guys I'm just a bit over 6 foot, 183 pounds, do you think I should get a large or XL?
I would recommend the size large for you. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear are you wearing a Large or XL in the video? I noticed you said XL but in the comments you said Large
@@sportbiketrackgear Hi, great video as usual, always appreciate them. Same question someone else asked, in comments you say large but in the video you mentioned extra large. I'm almost exactly your size and want whatever size you used in the actual video. Can you just confirm? Thanks!
Do you think it's OK to wear a Tech air 5 airbag inside of this hoodie?
I do not see a reason why not. - Van
Can you remove the protection?
Yes you can remove all of the armor in the hoodie. - Van
Gms makes a waterproof one though.
how does this compare to the Ageless Hoodie
Very similar products at the end of the day. Only real difference is one has a zip and the other is a pull over. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear sweet dude, figured id double check
How can I order this?
Here is a link to the Alpinestars Chrome Sport Hoodie on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/alpinestars-chrome-sport-hoodie/ - Van
Thank you!
"Chrome Sport". Odd name!
I was looking for some gear on your site... it was pretty bad, more than half of listed items were out of stock.. Probably wanna get that cleaned up. I lost interest in making a purchase.
Some items (not even close to half) will be out of stock for various reasons. We sweep through the listings (500,000) in the spring and fall as time permits to remove the sold out and discontinued items. During the busy period of the season we focus on getting the customers taken care of over site clean up. If you prefer a more polished site I would recommend Revzilla or Cycle Gear for your needs. They are a massive company and have more staff dedicated to site maintenance than we do. - Brian Van
He’s right, Revzilla is a great site to buy stuff online but I think STG is also a great site and Van keep up the good work. I enjoy all of the reviews on products and always look forward to your next videos
Sportbike Track Gear at first I was pretty pissed with your reply... I understand the situation. I was looking for some boots on sale. It was hard to find some that were available. I’m willing to keep looking and be more patient with the busy season. Hope you understand that I was only trying to keep it real and offer some feedback.
@@warrenmullett It's all good my man, we are always open to suggestions and criticism. End of the day there are areas where we are weak and others we are strong. Site maintenance is an area we could be better for sure. - Van
& you still surprise me on the size you wear. You're not much bigger than me & i know my 37in chest fits small or medium sizes when i read the chart
Considering this or the Chrome ignition. Suppose the only difference is the look.
Buy me one
100% not gonna happen. - Van
If I wasn’t waiting for a simple email answer for 3 weeks I would consider this. Sent wrong item to me and then ignore me. But got time for videos. Shame.
redrocks1986 You can’t call them? Jeez
