It's actually very relevant for gathering nanites to scan all the animals! If you find all the animals on one planet and go to them in the discovery section, you can claim a massive nanites bonus. 250 per animal
Most definitely! Excellent point. I bring that up in myself every so often. But by far, apart from glitching, this seems to currently be the fastest way to acquire nanites. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

Great video man! Thanks for the tips on setting up this type of farm. Make sure not to burn yourself out on making videos! And keep going, eventually you'll get success and get thousands of subs!
If you don't have a great set of mods on your multi-tool and feel a tad squishy, you can do this with the Minotaur Exocraft. You take reduced damage while in it and half the time the enemies don't target directly at you while riding in it. The Minotaur's cannon even without mods works very well at taking down sentinels as well. Its a little finicky to get the cannon to actually hit stuff, but instead of leading shots, just put the reticle over the target and the shots will pretty much auto-hit on every trigger pull.
Be sure to grab the minotaur AI too, It fights alongside you and you can hop in to recharge your shields/panic button jump 50 meters away. the AI isnt perfect, but it actually gets kills and is a huge distraction to the sentinels

You can do this on any planet if you find an ancient monument using the signal booster. There are always a couple G balls around to summon the sentinels.
Perfect! Yes- that is exactly it. The best part is, and not sure if you or anyone else noticed, but those areas are somehow protected from the weather patterns of the planet as well- a "dead zone". Excellent place to build a new base. Now I have TWO things to test out this afternoon. Thank you so much for the comment and the suggestion, Alyxia!
I just built a vacation base for me to kill those sentinels nice and safe. LOL I just shoot around and the silly sentinels will come. After killing a couple, they will keep sending more for me to kill including eventually quads. And I have a health restoring machine install in the base. So, even though the quad keeps shooting me with laser, I am not afraid. Make sure you build a lot of doors for you to go in and out easily. LOL
True but it takes about 20 minutes for refiner to go through a single stack of runaway mould, yielding 1,999 nanites each. It's only more efficient if you have multiple freighter refiners.
Even better, atlantium combined with pugneum to produce 3 runaway mould. 5 runaway mould refine into one nanite. 2 pugneum refine from 1 atlantideum. Convert 1/3rd of your atlandedium into pugneum and then refine the two you’ll have thousands more nanites than refining pugneum directly.
I recently switched to Pulse Spitter. Even though you get higher potential damage with the Boltcaster, the Pulse Spitter actually kills faster. I couldn’t believe how quickly I destroyed the big walker at the end.
You could turn the pugnium into nanites also right not sure how much that would be but ya . And I love using the paralysis mortar on the walkers fun to watch them do the jig while I waste them lol nice vedio thanks .
Of course! That would make it simpler, building there. Considering the damage output of my multitool not taking out the healers would be an interesting test. I may try that. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!
They shoot straight at first, but the longer you hold down the trigger, the wilder the shots get. Do short bursts. The upgrades have nothing to do with accuracy. I have a 2nd video about the Tool. 42000 Damage. Chk it out when u get a few. Thanks for the comment!
Thx, bud. I know the refiner dupe glitch, and I admit to using it occasionally. But it is so satisfying to take out those pesky sentinels and their offers of extended warranties on my vehicle. 🤣
Personally, I prefer Pulse Spitter and Boltcaster. With the right Multitool and upgrades doing about 30-40k dps. To use another analogy: cutting through them like a hot knife through butter! Thanks for the comment!
Extremely dependent on multitool damage. Whatever you have is extremely high end, and I would argue at the stage of the game where you can pull off this kind of speed, it hardly matters anymore. With that said, with the units you have, couldn't you just spam purchase ships and scrap them for more?
True on all counts. However ship purchase/scrapping takes so much time and costs so much more. But I agree, at this stage most of us have the $$ to do it. I just think this way is a lot more fun! 😁 Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Each piece of "glass" has a really good chance of dropping an upgrade. Each of those are worth around 400 nanites when sold to a tech vendor in a space station. Check the other comments here too. Lots of ideas on making nanites. I just prefer this method, lol! Thanks for the comment!
@michadybczak4862 Correct. If u install and then *remove* it, then yes, drops to ridiculous amount, but it allows you to move it to other ships. If uninstalled, u get base components. Best not to install unless u need it.
Good question. The answer is: not really. They give u different items and don't drop salvaged glass, which in turn give u upgrades you can sell for nanites. They give you atlantideum which turns into pugneum which can be refined into nanites, inverted mirrors can be as well, and other items l. Radiant shards can be harvested without fighting and they give you 50 nanites per shard. Hopefully this helps. Thx for the comment!
Hello NarinesDyson! Thanks for watching. The "Tool" in question I highlight in this video I made a week or so after this one. ua-cam.com/video/XYB9G2HVUTA/v-deo.html I have done a couple more videos since also highlighting the other weapons you can add to the Tool and their destructiveness. Keep in mind, if you are playing on a system other than PC the output may be less, depending on the system. I know that Switch is significantly less, BUT the damage is still phenomenal. Thanks for the comment!
They do not. You can perpetuate a continuous stream, but once you finish off the last round you get a message that the Sentinel network is disabled. It gives you (I believe) a 2 hour, no Sentinel, window. Free and clear to do whatever u want. Unless you reload. If u do that, they reappear.

I have done that before as well. Curious deposits give you Runaway Mould. I found around 25 at one time. Walk away with about a stack or more (9999+) of mould. When refined, gives you 2000 nanites and will take upwards of 20 minutes to refine. Split amongst several refiners could make it faster and ultimately, farming with Curious Deposits is less "violent". Buying suspicious packages from Outlaw stations yielding X-Class tech (worth under 100 nanites each) is costly and time-consuming but again, less violent. I believe the method in this video is much more efficient. I made 30,000 in 20 minutes of fighting Sentinels. To each his own, as they say. I don't disagree with you, I just prefer my own way. The important thing for all of us to remember- many ways to do what you want, and enjoy the journey! Thanks for the comment!
