Just wanted to say thank you for all your NMS vids over the years. Every time I return to NMS your vids are my go to and favorites to watch. Always great tips and I love piling up all that space cheddar thanks to your guides. Sincere thanks for sharing your tips with the rest of us!
two quick things about minor settlements and one about terrain manipulator. Minor Settlement tip 1: those technology vendors are random and they can sell you absolutely any exosuite or multitool blueprint in the game though they do have a small chance to sell ship or exocraft tech, so if you don't see the blueprint you want and have time you can always look for another minor settlement. Minor Settlement tip 2: any tech blueprints purchased at minor settlements will be cheaper than they appear at the anomaly, and you can break tech chains by buying from the settlement. An example would be if you say found the greased shells blueprint at a settlement, you could buy it even if you don't have the prerequisite scattergun blueprint. terrain manipulator explanation: Many people I've run across wonder why using the smaller bubble gives you more resources from the terrain manipulator than the larger ones. The reason is how the game calculates resource gains. For most things like the decorative rocks and trees you blast away with your mining lasers, they give flat resources per tick, but only of the primary resource until they are destroyed where they give a final burst of resources, including the secondary resource. This means that efficient mining will give balanced amounts of primary and secondary resources for each object destroyed since you're not spending a ton of time on each object. Slowing down however will give you tons more of the primary resource as you'll be putting more ticks on each target. This effect extends to the terrain manipulator and ground deposits. You get resources per tick of destruction time. Smaller bubbles take longer to clear a patch of resources meaning you have more ticks on target, thus giving you more resources while a larger bubble clears the terrain faster leading to fewer damage ticks for the patch. Sorry if that last tip got a bit technical, I just find it interesting to know how the game works internally, but doing so can drain some of the thrill out of the game because you realize that resource efficiency is not always equivalent to time efficiency lol
Brand new player here. Here’s my best advice for real noobs. 1: Just relax and have fun with the process. The game starts slow so you just need to enjoy lasering for resources and following the tutorial. 2: once you get the terrain manipulator, realize it has basically infinite ammo. You can hide from all enviro hazards and sentinels and tunnel infinitely. 3: get a free freighter as soon as you’re able. That’s the quickest way to millions of credits with very little effort.
Since Starfield didn't have features I was looking for, still a decent game, it helped pull the trigger for no man's sky, which I have been eyeing for years. This video is so helpful giving direction what you can do as a new player. Thank you!
I haven’t played it in 7 years fired up my ps4 I played back in the day and been playing for a few days then did update and I have almost 2 billion units now 18k nanites the game is so addictive I did my research on Starfield and I couldn’t find it in me to buy a new game that’s lacking what no mans sky had 7 years ago and the reviews say it’s unplayable never had a issue on ps4 and I’m a Xbox player
@@CR4ZYxRY4Ntbf no mans sky DIDNT have all this 7 years ago 😂 it was a trainwreck in the worst imaginable way... they have come a LONG way since then and id still say the game has a lot of issues but they are more realistic game issues now rather than just "go fuck yourself, maybe try reinstalling for the 5tu consecutive time and then itll work surely"
Just started playing this game in PSVR2, and my god there’s ALOT of stuff you have to do and keep track of. It’s almost overwhelming. I’ve had the game for around 4 months and played it initially and was like “really? This is all I do is mine”? Then I found the single player mode where it navigates everything you need to do. I’m having a blast. And in VR it’s absolutely breathtaking.
Best tutorial so far, straight to the point, lots of useful info, I just downloaded the game and can’t wait to start playing. Thank you so much for this wonderful content. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
A tip on the multi tool Mining beam and Heat [If you have more than one weapon/tool installed]. Once you build up a heat charge, but now need to move to a different spot to continue mining, use the Switch to Alt Weapon key. And when you move to the next spot you were going to mine swap back. The weapon is still "hot" or warmed up. This works as long as you do not fly off in your ship or swap Physical multi tools (just the weapons on the same multi-tool only). At the start you wont have a second function until you get the Terrain tool or the boltcaster.
This is great. When I summoned the anomaly for the first time, a random player gave me x25 of something that I was able to sell for 300,000,000. Kinda takes the fun out of the grind, but it’s not like I had a choice to reject the gift anyways.
Side note: If you don't want to piss off your fat cells you can always scan the area with your ships scanners while still in the air above the marker, more often than not the scanners will detect a nearby 'building' which will be where you are likely meant to go. Also an oddity I found in the 'Speak with 3 aliens' thing..I just ended up talking to the same alien 3 times and it progressed. Not sure if its suppose to do that but I'm not complaining lol
Started playing this game over the weekend for the first time while watching your videos, and I'll say you had me laughing so i decided to watch your older video guides and theyre just as funny, you my friend have made my NMS experience a lot more fun and insightful, keep up the great work 👍
If you have the portal refiner backpack you can convert slime into nanites while you walk around so save that slime...or build a refiner and sit and wait for it to complete...better to save that way it can be done on the fly and you're not tied to a built item...
Thanks for the video! 120 hours in and didn't know I had to 'manually' claim the bonus nanites for scanning all available fauna. I just gained about 15,000 nanites by going back and claiming all of the ones for planets I had completely scanned. I decided I wanted to give that multi-tool a try, but when I arrived at the location in the video it wasn't the same weapon for me. It was an S-Class, but it was just a regular pistol and only had like 18 slots. Did I miss something? Overall great video! Thanks again Edit: Okay, I figured it out! After watching several other videos and reading comments, you have to go to the local Space Station, get out of your ship, and then Reload Restore Point. Then fly back to the planet and the S Class Alien Multi-tool will be there. I also read you want to go into Network in the in game menu and make sure Multiplayer is disabled before you take the portal to this location. After I reloaded the restore point and left the Space Station, I navigated back to the base symbol for 'phosp' and from there I could see the Save Beacon that's close to the Minor Settlement. The Minor Settlement Nav Coordinates are: -37.55, -51.01

Nice guide! For a start I like to farm the mysterious eggs for nanites by building a base close to the infested building. After that just go find a Dissonant system with an upgraded ship using the nanites from before (the Radiant Pillar is more than enough) to farm interceptors. It's a easy way to farm units and upgrades, also the possibility o finding an A or S class interceptor ship!
Can you explain why we need 2 large and 3 medium refiners for this method? I'm a new player and I don't really see why from just watching the video, thanks!
The large reactor takes three ingredients, and how I been using them is to refin oxygen. 1 condensec copper 1 kelp sac and 1 star bulb (glowing flowers) gives 10 Oxygen. You need lots of oxygen to make lots of iinized cobalt
How do I fix the faulty hologram and the damaged electrode and the shattered power core?I have been wandering around for months doing nothing really.I am hoping something will happen.I do know how to put sodium in my suit to keep going
I've been wanting to go back to playing NMS again but I've forgotten soooo much. I've been putting off relearning it all. I just installed and as soon as I log in my settlement under attack by sentinels and I don't even remember how to change my weapon to it's attack mode lmao
When it comes to the freighter encounter, I keep finishing fighting the pirates and then going to the current space station to create a restore point but then the free freighter never spawns again. I'm a little unclear on how you were able to farm the free one even after rewatching the clip.
They patched this. The new method is to NOT dock at the space station of the system the freighter is in, but to keep reloading the restore point you had PRIOR to warping to the system with the freighter you want. This is why it’s best to always make sure you have a restore point from before you warped. You’ll then have to kill off the pirates and dock on the FREIGHTER (not the space station) to check the class. If it isn’t what you want, reload your restore point from the previous system and warp again. The good thing is that the freighter type and size will always be the same for every system you trigger the battle in, so once you find the type and size that you want, you’ll only have to reload for the class.
I was 160 hours into the game before I learned my previous toolkits didnt just vanish when getting a new one,.. So many mods repeatedly bought. Really should have put that option in the Toolkit Tab.
My perfect start- Step 1: find portal Step 2: sit at trading post for 6 hours looking for an exotic ship, getting bored and picking up the hornet instead bc crashes are 1000x better than system ships bc i aint waiting all day at some cords that some jackoff on reddit CLAIM has a cool system exotic that can show up. (I like some of the super cool ships ppl have found, if anyone has the coords to a fully black/red sentinel crash please feel free to leave the coords here bc ive been hunting a very specific sentinel design that i want fully black with red trim)
How old are these recordings that the buyback ship glitch was patched almost a year ago? Awesome tips though, thank you so much for a ton of info that helped connect a lot of dots and make a lot of progress!
the freighter strategy of hoping to the space station doesn't work anymore, if you do it you will need to do every thing again fight 2 normal freighter (yes now its 2 not 1) and then you will have the chance to do it again
Have they patched out using restore points to get better ranked freighter? Killed all the pirates, had a perfect capital ship I wanted, but now it no longer spawns after doing the restore point trick and also the one there is not free
I would have one advice, no matter what you do, don't cheat, I made that mistake and it wasn't even really for cheating but for testing, the problem is the moment I obtained everything with a button push it immediately ruined the game for me even after reloading my 100% legit save, I just couldn't play the game anymore after having experienced obtaining all the resources instantly because the game is literally about gathering those resources, I still got 300+ hours of gameplay but still, if you want to test some cheats, it's probably better to wait until you've experienced all what the game has to offer.
Guys pls help me understaned, just start game 6-7 hours of play, go to another system. Follow main quest, before landing some ships attack me. I don do anything they attacked mi. I killed 2 or 3 ships. I get info some cargo i found. Look in cargobay stack of cargo 10/10 worth almost 600 million, wtf? How is that possible? Really think to start new game now, is to easy when I can buy everything. Special on beginning.
Sedondary drops are useless, as they are un-effected by the optical drill upgrade, overcharged slots and adjecency bonuses, they always drop the same miniscule amouts, so little in fact that most nms players dont even bother scanning for sedondary resources in the first place.
Stats are better cuz he put some upgrades, what people usually look when picking a ship is looks ofc and the placement of power slots. Best is when the slots are close together so you can for example have one weapon super powerfull
So as far as I'm aware the economy crashing trick doesn't work anymore, I tried it yesterday so it hasn't worked since even before the Echoes update. Not sure when you made that clip but you should delete this video or add a pinned comment to reflect that the way you've earned credits in this video (and probably for a very long time) is now defunct. And honestly, very gladly so.
@@Viilap Prove it. Show me a timestamped video or picture. Because I've tried this multiple times in both updates. I have a cobalt farm ready to go, so let me know when you're ready to show me your method and I'll show you it not working for me.

I told you before. Hawke's a legend.
@moxaban6907 thank you. I've been holding off on it just trying not to screw anything up. But hopefully I'll farm one out tomorrow.

Love these videos sSOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!
Very great guide for a new NMS player
the freighter strategy of hoping to the space station doesn't work anymore, if you do it you will need to do every thing again fight 2 normal freighter (yes now its 2 not 1) and then you will have the chance to do it again
I wish I would have marked the location for that hauler. I didn't know it would respawn.
Money was easy for me in start..i found a planet of grav orbs and learned you can terrain tunnel to be safe from anything lol ez game
Any idea why i can't find Oxygen when farming in the water? I find the other elements such as Salt... but next to zero Oxygen.
Have they patched out using restore points to get better ranked freighter? Killed all the pirates, had a perfect capital ship I wanted, but now it no longer spawns after doing the restore point trick and also the one there is not free
I gotta say, Vy keen have the best systems ever and their ship pool rarely disappoint
How did you managed to place more than 250 in the refiners, and how its refining so fast?
i’m doing the artemis quest line and it’s significantly different than this one, i can’t talk to the travelers in the station what do i do?
You get extra annoyed if you go back into the damaged pods and green containers after removing the rusted metal/slime… Just a heads up.
thankyouuuu :)
I think we are due a 2024 edition with the worlds update 🤣
How do we find the Stranger's Coordinates ship if we didn't mark it the first time we saw it? Am I SOL?
I would have one advice, no matter what you do, don't cheat, I made that mistake and it wasn't even really for cheating but for testing, the problem is the moment I obtained everything with a button push it immediately ruined the game for me even after reloading my 100% legit save, I just couldn't play the game anymore after having experienced obtaining all the resources instantly because the game is literally about gathering those resources, I still got 300+ hours of gameplay but still, if you want to test some cheats, it's probably better to wait until you've experienced all what the game has to offer.
I made the same mistake once and didn't want to touch this save since then i learned u can lock the settings so u couldnt cheat
i just love your accent.where are u from? i enjoy watching your talking
Good job
What do you mean by losing everything when you buy a new ship ? Can't you transfer cargo and pack up some technology upgrades ?
It's only when You exchange ships, if you buy you don't lose anything

I like that you sound like Nick Offerman
What platform do I play this game on?
Do a new one of these for Echoes plz, I love them….and you 😘
53:02 Why did he buy another S ship ? The stats of his own are way better
Stats are better cuz he put some upgrades, what people usually look when picking a ship is looks ofc and the placement of power slots. Best is when the slots are close together so you can for example have one weapon super powerfull
Ive gotten 4 salvaged data from a single tech module once
I thought they got rid of the cobalt market crashing exploit, because it was too cheesy. Still in the game?
So as far as I'm aware the economy crashing trick doesn't work anymore, I tried it yesterday so it hasn't worked since even before the Echoes update. Not sure when you made that clip but you should delete this video or add a pinned comment to reflect that the way you've earned credits in this video (and probably for a very long time) is now defunct. And honestly, very gladly so.
Oh really I made like 500 mln with it in my other save
And it still worked like 3 days ago or even 2
Ive jus checked this and its still working
@@Viilap Prove it. Show me a timestamped video or picture. Because I've tried this multiple times in both updates. I have a cobalt farm ready to go, so let me know when you're ready to show me your method and I'll show you it not working for me.
Alternate video title:
How to get a big galactic space dong and swing it around
I feel like I just watched the same tuturoial last month is this just all of then combined into one tutorial
Seems like a re-upload
I usually release a supercut if I split it up into individual videos. I meant to do it sooner but I was mega sick.
Now that I don’t need it I found a planet where every underwater plant gives oxygen as its secondary I can get about 6 full stacks in about 90 seconds
I need this planet.
Accidentally landed on space station on purpose
Does this work for Nintendo Switch? or is a pc/ps4/xbox version?
It’s all the same game
