I’m saying this as someone who loves talking with people and networking with people interested in the same stuff I’m interested in, in this case game dev, design, and art, but if you’re comfortable with it you should totally share your art on UA-cam to try and build up a portfolio. Obviously make sure it’s credited to you and all by having your name involved on the screen in some way so others don’t steal it, but I’d totally be interested in seeing what you can do. Also I promise this isn’t some “hey I have this idea for a project” thing, I’m just really passionate about this kind of stuff and love seeing cool art!

I would recommend getting your Steam page live earlier than later to start gathering wishlists (I want to wishlist right now). And definitely package and upload your game to Steam semi regularly for testing. Unreal tends to somewhat change/break certain aspects of your code after packaging and it's much easier to work out those things overtime, there could also be packaging errors that come up.

Definitely a fun and interesting game concept. Small twist with the king makes it a bit more unique from all the other defenders and a bit comic :D

Hi, watched this a few days ago, just saw your 100 subs community post, came back to check and you have 1k! Congratulations. Something about me, I watch a lot of game devlogs, don't usually comment. Of the few I do comment on, I will note that this is one I am actually very excited to play. The design of it flicks all the right switches in my brain. The combat + economic strategy combination trips both my Dark Soul and Bloons wires, reminds me of some old Minecraft maps. For love the of goodness, when there's a page to wishlist it on or a download link, please notify me.
Video quality is insane for being your 1st one. Looks good. With this channel maybe someone will actually buy the game when its ready. (Marketing is hard) Good luck.

This would be cool for a tower defense style game, since you have a cannon, catapult, and a "glue" mortar. Which the king would be the secondary objective, while protecting the portal is the main objective, I still love the game idea you have been working a long time for.
And you can participate in first person on the walls shooting down on your enemy's.
Had me laughing out loud a few times haha

Just wow, I would totally load up this game with a few friends and play it. I've heard implementing multiplayer is especially difficult tho when you don't build it up for multiplayer in the beginning. But this I'd play with a buddy or two fr fr. Building system looks polished as well. Good work.

Unity is better to start out on in my opinion. I was programming C# in Unity for a few years before making the switch to Unreal.
Jumping into one handed programming sounds very difficult, congrats on the progress!

one thing i think would help the world building of the game is: so you can trade/sell these souls to the merchants, but what use do the merchants have with those souls?
2:50 is absolutely cursed
You could add bamboo mortar shells or something to slow the Panda's down, not sure if bamboo in general is added to the game already, but could be awesome to add it. Might help with the Panda theme!
