She honestly just has a phenomenal marketing team and publicist. Every time she has a scandal, her marketing team turns it into a rebrand and an opportunity for her to advance her career. For e.g, she was being heavily accused of race-fishing and leaning into racial aesthetics for artistic purposes so her marketing team had her return to her roots of musical theatre, where she can leave her previous musical identity behind and completely rebrand for the purpose of the film. She then gets involved in a home wrecking scandal, so her marketing team have her release music that is more ‘lyrically vulnerable’ and ‘real’ than her previous music, and then have her sit down for interviews where she talks in a sweet, almost little girl voice. This is all so people have a hard time associating her with home wrecking, or any scandal for that matter, because she appears so ‘sweet’ and ‘wholesome’. It’s all just really smart, well thought-out marketing. Edit: I want to clarity that I mean no ill-intent towards her! I don’t know her personally, and for all we know she’s nothing at all like how she’s depicted in the media. I’m just looking at it from a PR perspective and how you can turn bad press into good press with the right tactics. I’m not saying that any of those things she’s being accused of are true!
Her pr does terribly tho...even fans are frustrated. Taylor's pr team actually put in effort to help her. I don't think ariana is as malicious or calculated as people think.
she changed her voice because of method acting for her role in wicked. she has been working on wicked for the past 4 years which is why she stopped releasing music for so long and came back looking completely different. she still has to film the second movie which is why she is still blonde and why she is talking and acting the way she is. watch the trailer for wicked and you’ll hear the similarity.

She's still my favourite artist because her vocal range is insane and she's very talented as an entertainer. But I do think her actions are morally reprehensible and I would not defend her.
I don't know if she's ever gonna change. She's 30+ yo now, and while I'm a firm believer of change at any age, her handling of the homewrecking situation has been subpar. She is basically mocking, almost taunting us with a "what you gonna do?". No hint of remorse or guilt. That doesn't scream "girl on the path to maturity" imo. My analysis is that despite her advancing in age, she is still a little girl that is both insecure AND spoiled. She managed to get off scot free from her previous dramas thanks to 1. her talent (she is insanely talented, I'll give her that) and 2. her youth, like Zoe said. Unfortunately, the later is starting to wear off so she didn't manage to get off as unscathed this time. Personally, it was the last straw for me. I used to really like her, but cheating and homewrecking is something I abhor. I cannot condone and support someone who does that, eve if they appear to be one of my favourite artists. Cause I have and it’s fucking exhausting it makes you feel like you’re fucking crazy. My mother is literally the person putting hate and negativity on me and has been my whole life and I’ve tried to open up(heavy on the tried) but she never listened because she never saw it as that. So now I hardly say or do anything (not like that makes much of a difference cause she still seeks me out and has a problem) and just try to make all the deep problems seems like minor surface level problems cause I can’t get through it if it continues to cut so deep. The racial ambiguity has always bothered me. Same with Kim K, and a couple others. I’m Latina, but I was always convinced that white girls were better than me, no matter what. When Ariana started becoming more tan, I thought she was Latina too, and when I googled it I was kinda upset, but whatever cause the beauty standard is changing to darker skin finally. Tbh I don't think her controversies are that bad compared to a lot of other pop artists. Shes not gonna be sent to jail over being a player/"homewrecker" or going a bit too hard on the self tanning. Most of her scandals are just bad enough to get people talking about her but rarely bad enough to actually make her lose a big chunk of her fanbase over (most of the time.) and I think thats why she's historically been left unscathed by her scandals.

Personally, I do separate the art from the artist if their allegations aren’t large enough to completely skew my view of their work. Something like child molestation and pretty much anything to do with minors or SA will do that. But homewrecking, being rude, and things like that? There's a new feature for UA-cam creators that enables them to test out different miniatures (and I guess titles). Basically you upload 4, and the algorithm checks which miniatures and titles generated the most clicks on the video, and then you settle on the final one. I know for a fact that's what happens with miniatures, so I'm only guessing it's also why the title changes so much too.

Her tan was deeper than her natural tan. And she's admitted she tans various times. In fact, there was this one notorious time where she was orange in a music video (put your hearts up) and years later she said she hated that video because she "had a terrible tan" Not to mention she's changed her speech and mannerisms to match their stereotypes various times. She doesn't naturally speak that way, as evidence of her older videos and her more recent videos. She used it as a "phase" (2016-2019) It's not just about the tan, the tan was really the least of the problem tbh.

im not here for assigning age and personality to clothing. i’d love to see confident older women wearing bold platform heels and short skirts if that’s what they enjoy. the most stylish and least dramatic older women i know have the most adventurous fashion sense, defying the “chic” and “modest” look often associated with maturity. so i rlly don’t view her change in style and shoes as a significant shift in her path to "real maturity" as you say :/ ariana has been in the industry for a LONG time, so it’s actually not surprising that her aesthetic changed, especially with new projects, life changes and a new album era. people seem to forget that she has changed her look with basically every album. her dangerous woman and thank u, next eras are remembered most aesthetic wise because her popularity skyrocketed during those times, and the promotions were extensive. she was rlly in her pop girl era then. those looks also weren’t as dramatically different from each other compared to her other eras so it makes it seem like she had a stuck look (also clothing trends werent as quick to pass back then and she often wore trendy styles during those eras). while those aesthetics have become the iconic image of her, this new look isn’t actually rlly that much of a sudden or drastic change. she first transitioned from vibrant/girly/baddie styles into chic/vintage styles with interesting eye makeup during the positions era and has continued in that direction with a "modest/chic" vibe and a new hair colour/style for this era (glinda also a massive reason for that) and shes doing more audrey hepburn inspired looks. tbh who knows if she’ll stick with this look or change it again next era, but I don’t see it as being as calculated as some people make it out to be
Ariana NEVER used what you call her as the “young girl” as Cat Valentine just to escape from her past controversies before (or now), she even stated is that what she want is to separate herself from that character from Nickelodeon because Cat is just a character and is very different to herself as an artist and as a person. Yes she apologized in public for licking the donut from a store, but did you consider the fact that she was high at the time from anesthesia because her wisdom tooth got removed that very same day. We all know people in “America” when it comes to anesthesia are just so high and can say and do things they're not intended to do? Have you searched on that? Why didn't you include that part, just to make her a bad person as what people wants to? She once did a live stream on Instagram and a fan requested her to do the Cat voice but she respectfully declined as they are totally in a different world and why would she even used it as an escape when it's the people who decides whether they would accept her apologies... nonetheless, her homewrecker scandal will still going to be an “ALLEGED” because there's not a total proof that she and ethan went to date each other before or after their divorce. While Page 6 and the writer from the said article who exposed Ari for being an alleged homewrecker is known for hating Ariana for a very long time now, there are even screenshots from Twitter/x showing her tweets throwing negative towards Ariana before. There's no proof that Lily (Ethan's ex wife) truly did sn interview with them lol. They just put up that article and people just believed it cuz they were accussing her for being a homewrecker even before the article was dropped. But ofc the writer wants a whole attention from thirsty people who wants tea from Ariana's personal relationship. So they gave what people wants and made Page 6 as a legitimate source they didn't even provide other articles to strengthen their allegations towards her as long as people clicked on their clouty article.

exactly!! as we mature, we often see that people aren’t always who they portrayed themselves to be and we thought they were.. whether that's celebs or partners, family, friends, co-workers, or teachers etc. it’s honestly frustrating to see ariana being painted as some kind of seductress who took advantage of a "nerdy" man without acknowledging that he also played a bigger role in the situation. i don't agree with going after people who are taken but lets be fr now that means they werent loving and faithful to their partners, and with her cheating allegations it is true that birds of a feather flock together, so maybe those people just deserve each other (not that i condone it). plus many celebrities have faced controversies FAR more severe, yet they still get charting hits, maintain their fanbase or grow in popularity (including criminals, racist and homophobic people etc). i know ariana is very popular and does have a more parasocial fanbase but it’s unfair that she’s often subjected to more harassment than others who have done worse. people tend to be way harsher on female celebrity scandals and dating lives too. while criticism and calling out bad behaviour are very valid and im all here for that, harassment def crosses a line. personally, i really love her music and her voice, and while she’s not without fault and a lot of criticism is called for, i don’t think she deserves to be demonized or lose all her fans.

Im the type of person who automatically doesnt gaf about insanely popular artists at the beginning like Ariana herself and Billie for some reason but few years back, I started becoming a hugeeeee fan of Ariana. Let me tell you, I was obsessed with her. I was on several discord servers even a mod and admin in many and made a server myself. Yes, and was targeting tabloids and media, not her fans. I think everyone is a little bit too brutal nowadays. I am 28 years old, as a teen I was a big fan of hers, as of now - what can I say, I love her music, her craft and her talent so much, but I do not care too much about her personal life. I love her style and her music, that’s enough for me. Every single person, pointing fingers also made terrible mistakes. I am sure of that. Labeling someone so easily, knowing just curated parts of a story we ‘ll never truly know anything about, is just plain stupid to me. Anyways, I don’t think her brand will suffer too much. When all the drama about her love life started coming out I realized I never really cared about her personal life and I didn't know ever guy she dated cause I was only for her music & craft. She honestly just has a phenomenal marketing team and publicist.
Every time she has a scandal, her marketing team turns it into a rebrand and an opportunity for her to advance her career. For e.g, she was being heavily accused of race-fishing and leaning into racial aesthetics for artistic purposes so her marketing team had her return to her roots of musical theatre, where she can leave her previous musical identity behind and completely rebrand for the purpose of the film. She then gets involved in a home wrecking scandal, so her marketing team have her release music that is more ‘lyrically vulnerable’ and ‘real’ than her previous music, and then have her sit down for interviews where she talks in a sweet, almost little girl voice. This is all so people have a hard time associating her with home wrecking, or any scandal for that matter, because she appears so ‘sweet’ and ‘wholesome’.
It’s all just really smart, well thought-out marketing.

I want to clarity that I mean no ill-intent towards her! I don’t know her personally, and for all we know she’s nothing at all like how she’s depicted in the media. I don't know if she's ever gonna change. She's 30+ yo now, and while I'm a firm believer of change at any age, her handling of the homewrecking situation has been subpar. She is basically mocking, almost taunting us with a "what you gonna do?". No hint of remorse or guilt. That doesn't scream "girl on the path to maturity" imo.
My analysis is that despite her advancing in age, she is still a little girl that is both insecure AND spoiled. She managed to get off scot free from her previous dramas thanks to 1. her talent (she is insanely talented, I'll give her that) and 2. her youth, like Zoe said. Unfortunately, the later is starting to wear off so she didn't manage to get off as unscathed this time.
Personally, it was the last straw for me. I used to really like her, but cheating and homewrecking is something I abhor. I do think that the trust she build with the public of a person, who is nice and loving to her fans, was broken through this controversy. After Manchester, one could really feel her genuinity because of how much she opened up. With the death of Mac Miller, she showed her tears and mourned publicly, whilst continuing to release music. The racial ambiguity has always bothered me. Same with Kim K, and a couple others. I’m Latina, but I was always convinced that white girls were better than me, no matter what. When Ariana started becoming more tan, I thought she was Latina too, and when I googled it I was kinda upset, but whatever cause the beauty standard is changing to darker skin finally. There's a new feature for UA-cam creators that enables them to test out different miniatures (and I guess titles). Basically you upload 4, and the algorithm checks which miniatures and titles generated the most clicks on the video, and then you settle on the final one.
I know for a fact that's what happens with miniatures, so I'm only guessing it's also why the title changes so much too.

ariana has been in the industry for a LONG time, so it’s actually not surprising that her aesthetic changed, especially with new projects, life changes and a new album era. people seem to forget that she has changed her look with basically every album. her dangerous woman and thank u, next eras are remembered most aesthetic wise because her popularity skyrocketed during those times, and the promotions were extensive. she was rlly in her pop girl era then. those looks also weren’t as dramatically different from each other compared to her other eras so it makes it seem like she had a stuck look (also clothing trends werent as quick to pass back then and she often wore trendy styles during those eras). while those aesthetics have become the iconic image of her, this new look isn’t actually rlly that much of a sudden or drastic change. she first transitioned from vibrant/girly/baddie styles into chic/vintage styles with interesting eye makeup during the positions era and has continued in that direction with a "modest/chic" vibe and a new hair colour/style for this era (glinda also a massive reason for that) and shes doing more audrey hepburn inspired looks. tbh who knows if she’ll stick with this look or change it again next era, but I don’t see it as being as calculated as some people make it out to be
Ariana NEVER used what you call her as the “young girl” as Cat Valentine just to escape from her past controversies before (or now), she even stated is that what she want is to separate herself from that character from Nickelodeon because Cat is just a character and is very different to herself as an artist and as a person. Yes she apologized in public for licking the donut from a store, but did you consider the fact that she was high at the time from anesthesia because her wisdom tooth got removed that very same day. We all know people in “America” when it comes to anesthesia are just so high and can say and do things they're not intended to do? Have you searched on that? Why didn't you include that part, just to make her a bad person as what people wants to? She once did a live stream on Instagram and a fan requested her to do the Cat voice but she respectfully declined as they are totally in a different world and why would she even used it as an escape when it's the people who decides whether they would accept her apologies... nonetheless, her homewrecker scandal will still going to be an “ALLEGED” because there's not a total proof that she and ethan went to date each other before or after their divorce. While Page 6 and the writer from the said article who exposed Ari for being an alleged homewrecker is known for hating Ariana for a very long time now, there are even screenshots from Twitter/x showing her tweets throwing negative towards Ariana before. There's no proof that Lily (Ethan's ex wife) truly did sn interview with them lol. They just put up that article and people just believed it cuz they were accussing her for being a homewrecker even before the article was dropped. But ofc the writer wants a whole attention from thirsty people who wants tea from Ariana's personal relationship. So they gave what people wants and made Page 6 as a legitimate source they didn't even provide other articles to strengthen their allegations towards her as long as people clicked on their clouty article.

exactly!! as we mature, we often see that people aren’t always who they portrayed themselves to be and we thought they were.. whether that's celebs or partners, family, friends, co-workers, or teachers etc. it’s honestly frustrating to see ariana being painted as some kind of seductress who took advantage of a "nerdy" man without acknowledging that he also played a bigger role in the situation. i don't agree with going after people who are taken but lets be fr now that means they werent loving and faithful to their partners, and with her cheating allegations it is true that birds of a feather flock together, so maybe those people just deserve each other (not that i condone it). plus many celebrities have faced controversies FAR more severe, yet they still get charting hits, maintain their fanbase or grow in popularity (including criminals, racist and homophobic people etc). i know ariana is very popular and does have a more parasocial fanbase but it’s unfair that she’s often subjected to more harassment than others who have done worse. people tend to be way harsher on female celebrity scandals and dating lives too. while criticism and calling out bad behaviour are very valid and im all here for that, harassment def crosses a line. personally, i really love her music and her voice, and while she’s not without fault and a lot of criticism is called for, i don’t think she deserves to be demonized or lose all her fans.

I am 28 years old, as a teen I was a big fan of hers, as of now - what can I say, I love her music, her craft and her talent so much, but I do not care too much about her personal life. I love her style and her music, that’s enough for me. Every single person, pointing fingers also made terrible mistakes. I am sure of that. Labeling someone so easily, knowing just curated parts of a story we ‘ll never truly know anything about, is just plain stupid to me. Anyways, I don’t think her brand will suffer too much.
