Thank You for the video I made a project bag this weekend and loved making it. I will be making some for Christmas with projects in them for my sisters and nieces at our Christmas dinner.
I have to say, I have NEVER even plugged in a sewing machine. Today was my first time! And, with the help of this video, I was able to knock out a project bag with no issues!!! So, I thank you very much for taking the time to make this video! It is going to save me a lot of money and I can make project bags with fabrics I like! Thank you again!!!
I am ashamed to say I have never been able to see a straight line . I had to watch this video at least 100 times before I could make this right I did it though.! Yeah helen
Wow! This is the best tutorial I’ve seen on how to make a project bag . Thanks so much. In my retirement now, I’m new to cross stitching and using a sewing machine but I’m hoping I can make a few bags soon. Bless you for sharing 🙏🇦🇺
I followed your tutorial and made my first bag today! I’m a total sewing newbie. Always been scared of sewing machines. Your instructions where clear and concise and I’m proud of my bag. Although I have a way to go before they are as good as yours. Thank you ❤
Love your project bag-Your instructions are so clear and your idea of a lighter fabric as the lining is the best hint I have heard in a long time-I am heading to make a new project bag-Thanks for the tutorial
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I have made many project bags using your helpful instructions and each time I make a new one I thank goodness for your video.
THANK YOU for showing the end of the bolt. I've been watching project bag vids and I couldn't tell if they were saying Sure-Tailor, Shirt-Tailor.... Huh? A picture = 1000 words and ya know.
Thank you very much for this tutorial! I try to learn sewing and this is my first sewing project ever! And I have a brand new project bag 😍 Thank you! 🥰
Love, love, love this tutorial. You make it easy to make a project bag for personal use without any sewing shaming. Even though I have sewn since I was at least a young teen, I have not sewn much in the past few years, especially zippers. THANK YOU for making it possible for me to use up some of the fabric I have had around this house for years! I love all your tutorials!
I was just telling my mom that I wanted to use some of the gorgeous fabrics in my fabric museum to make project bags. Perfect instructions! Thanks so much,
I love the project bag tutorial. Yours is different from the ones I have made before. I like it!! You did a great job of explaining and showing each step. Now I need to go try it. Thanks!!
I've been wanting to make project bags for a while now. I have a wonderful sewing machine that I got last Summer when we moved back to the States (after 19 years living overseas...) and I need to make use of it! Your tutorial makes this much easier to understand and I'm going to try some tomorrow! I do have fleece but also may have gotten the Pellon 950F after I watched this before. Joann's and Walmart are sold out online. Thank you for doing this!
Omg Helen!! I just followed your tutorial to make my first ever project bag-it was a success!! Thanks so much for a clear, easy to understand tutorial!! Excited lady right here!! 🤩
thank you, thank you, thank you , I have been wanting to make myself a bag for a while but me and zippers dont get along lol, I can sew though I used to make clothes and other household things , curtains ect, I am going to follow this video , You made it so clear I can understand and overcome the zipper !
Great tutorial. Thank you. I’ve made quite a few vinyl front project bags but I wanted a fabric bag where the front included a piece of cross stitch. My zip isn’t perfect - user error not the instructions- but I know it will improve with practice
Ok I’m going to give it a go even though I hate sewing in zippers and avoid them like the plague. But you make it look doable. Thanks for the tutorial. ❤️ Megan
Hi Helen. I've made several of your sized bags already and I love the size. Everything fits so well! It was a great tutorial and the angle was fine. Thanks for sharing.
this a great tutorial. :) Thanks for spending time on which way to lay the zipper. folding in towards the lining before stitching the sides. my zipper always looked wonky at the corners and I think this will help me. Thanks again! much love, amy
This is great thank you so much i love thst u give the measurements for the fabric and also doing it this way the interfacing dosnt stick out as I don't have an overlocker
This is a great video! I only have trouble with the zipper. Sometimes it turns out wonky. Wish I could have seen yours close up. But every time I make one, I watch this video step by step. Thanks for sharing! Kari
Great tutorial. I’m trying to get my nerve up to make one. I know it’s in me I just need to reboot my confidence. It’s been a long time since I have sewn something, but I’ll get there. Thank you.
I just made this following your tutorial exactly and it turned out so great!! My first bag ever and only my second time doing a zipper. I was so nervous but you explained everything perfectly and I love that you were so detailed. Thank you! I love my bag and can't wait to make more!!
@@KatTalks i've always used cotton, either quilting cotton or whatever cute print is on sale at Joann's. Good luck! I was just thinking I need to finish up some wips because I'm out of bags!
@@helend.flosstube I love that! I have some awesome zip up plastic folder pockets which have been doing me ok, but they can't fit the q snaps inside them. So excited to follow this once I have some fabric and zips! Thanks again :)
@@helend.flosstube I did it! My cotton seems to be a lot thicker than yours (I'm not even sure my outer fabric needed interfacing, it was already a bit like card!) but I followed the tutorial exactly (well, with only one front piece, not two-and-a-lace) and it's perfect and I love it! Thank you so much! I now feel comfortable trying to do a matching tiny threads bag to keep my dmc in !
Thanks for this! I made my first project bag from your tutorial. Love it! So easy to follow. My hardest part was making the ends of the zipper look even. Going to do another and keep practicing to get it better.
Thanks Helen, made perfect sense and I'll be giving this a try tomorrow Yay, first time making a zippered bag and worked beautifully. Many thanks for the brilliant tutorial Helen
