I bought the green one because I'm a big fan of Lamborghini. Had I known an orange one was being released, I would have waited and got the orange one. As I already have the Sian which is green.
I'm going to assume you mean mainly 90s japanese cars. Technic should focus on functionality and the curvy shapes of 90s sports cars wouldn't fit as well, they should stick them to Speed Champions
Weird that this set still uses plastic bags instead of paper, even though the march technic sets used paper bags. I'm all for the environment but I much preferred the plastic bags, seeing all the parts when you pour out the box contents is a part of the experience.
All the set champions I've bought had plastic from this months release including the the McLaren MP4 even tho I've seen others have their parts in paper.
@@poemes How so? I've always been told laminated paper is not recyclable and should not be thrown out into any recyclables container. How would that work? If anything, it makes it even harder to recycle.
One of the main reasons they don’t release at the same time could be the fact that it would take up too much shelf space. The exotic parrots are pretty small, and can be on a shelf next to each other. But when you have 2 technic sets that are the same, just different colors, it takes up a lot of shelf space. Especially if lego did multiple color releases for multiple sets. This of course is all speculation, but I assume it is also taken into consideration when releasing sets
Really interesting vid, the best thing about your vids is that you take different perspectives and opinions and address them all! It is what makes you stand out!!
The orange, in my opinion, is a much better colour for this car. Also we had a re-colour in the speed champions line too. A lime (again lol) 911 turbo was released as a dual pack with another car but later they made a white version of it too but it was a single pack :>
As a avid lego technic fan, primarily buying technic sets, I want you to ask the technic team to make a bulk pack, for building technic mocs, mess around with the expansive and creative things you can do with the infinite amounts of possibilites with technic. It is the only thing I am asking.
Man same, I wish would do like system bricks Creative Box but in technic, have a big box with random technic parts would be so cool and push creativity
It's especially nice to get a variant for this set so that people can avoid the discolored lime parts. It's also nice that this one is a general release unlike the blue bolide so this one should eventually go on sale to $40.
I think that Lego waits to see how popular a set is before making a recolour. If something sells wildly and a recolour is feasible then they can greenlight another version. On the other hand, increasing production costs for a set based on only data from focus groups is would be too risky for them. I doubt we'll see simultaneous releases anytime soon.
One of the main things that put me off getting the original set was the bad colour consistency with the lime parts; so I'm psyched that we're getting a new one in a more consistent colour.
I think the delay is a cheap move from Lego, hoping they make people buy both sets if they release them months apart. I think the right move for this would be to release all colors at once so people can chose what color scheme they want or what colors they need for their mocs.
I bought the lime version a week ago... havent put it together yet. I love the Orange, but I have several McLarens in Papaya already so Lime will be a nice contrast.
I already bought the green one and I love it. I think it's better than the orange one. I was expecting a totally new 1:16 scale car, so I'm disappointed with Lego's strategy. I will only buy the orange one if there's a huge discount (generally around Christmas time).
I'm not interested in this particular set (but orange does look better indeed), but honestly, I'm kinda surprised they don't do this much more often.Probably even more so with Speed Champions. I mean, offer the Countach in red, yellow and blue, and I might just buy them all! It might not work that well with the biggest, most expensive sets, as those cost a lot of money, time and space, so I don't see many people buy multiples and it would only work for people who really didn't like the original color. But for smaller ones? Hell yeah!
I was almost going to get the Hurracan at the end of last year but got the Senna GTR instead, glad I skipped the green version and will definitely get the new orange version.
You can have it in lime or orange, as long as you choose lime. I prefer the orange one but it's available in local stores and online is non-existent. Even Amazon UK don't stock it.
I prefer the orange version by far. I don't own any Technic sets because I usually don't like how gappy they look and the lack of windshields. But for some reason this Lambo really speaks to me, regardless of the color. I was actually this close buying it while on vacation in London, but evetually got the Speed Champions Ferrari Competizione and London Postcard sets instead. So yeah, I'm very much on the fence if I should buy it but if I do it's the orane one for sure.
I prefer the orange version, as it does not have the severe colour consistency issues that's long since plagued the lime green coloured parts. The only problem with the orange version is it's going to involve paying full price, whereas the lime green version, despite its flaws, has been drastically discounted by as much as 40% where I am as it's been out for a while now. I won't go for either however as like I said previously with the lime green version, I'm still not quite certain of the resemblance to the car it's supposed to be based on, and I feel the cars of this scale have kinda lost their novelty somewhat.
i think rather than releasing several colours at the same time a corner of the box should say "NEW COLOUR COMING SOON" with a question mark so that people know what to expect and minimal change is made
When i buy some Lego sets i always look to see what Moc builds people are building with the same set im going to get in this case i got the green Lamborghini and made a truck out of it put i like the orange one so i will be getting that one.
Dang I wish I could have bought this instead of the green one... don't plan on buying another just to have an orange one, I just would've prefered that colour.
I think it s better to have a delayed review AND a lower price, but the real question here is do we really have a lower price? I mean, few years ago, lego increased the price of almost all the sets ( by 10 to 50 € ) but i dont remember seeing a lowering of the prices after that, and i don t think the economy done on this one set will be shared between all the sets....
Would prefer the green but the colour variation between parts is a real put off... the main reason I didn't go for the large Lambo... not so bad on a cheaper set but if you're dropping hundreds on a set then that variation really isn't excisable.
You could see it in my video about the Liebherr crane, I am not planning to do a more detailed presentation of it - ua-cam.com/video/jD7D0AT_NAM/v-deo.html
I live near Lamborghini factory and I love these wonderful cars so I will probably buy both because now the LIME one has a good discount BUT the orange one is really beautiful for the colour ! I don't understand the LEGO strategy , same set different colour mah I'm waiting for the new projects!!
This actually frustrates me a lot since I would have much preferred the orange variant. It looks much better, IMO. Same is true with the Bugatti in blue. The blue looks great on that one. Oh well. This years $50USD car is not really worth my time, so hopefully something better come out next year.
For a person that wants to buy every Lego lamborghini it rly sucks because its just the same set just Orange and i dont even like this Orange that much
I just don’t understand why Lego refuses to brick build or at least provide transparent pieces for brake lights and headlights… stickers are just goofy
All SW fans are waiting for Lego to do the same thing to Jango Fett Slave 1, no remake since 2002 and they just need to swap dark red to dark blue and add Ep2 minifigs ..
Blech. Don't like either colour. Now, if it was in the dark green (with gold/yellow highlights) of the Speed Champions Lotus Evija (76907), it'd be an instant buy. edit: And recolours are good. Keeps things slightly fresh on the shelf with popular sets (out of the Technic cars at that price/size, the green Lambo regularly sells out at my local WalMart while the others tend to sit around for ages) and might even cause a few extra sales because people avoided the old colour. Really, the only people who it annoys seems to be the "It exists, so I have no choice but to buy it" crowd. :)

The rollout schedule of the paper bags is different in each LEGO factory around the world, so it depends on where that specific set came from
The paper bags have plastic lining anyway, so they're still as bad as the plastic bags. Terrible.
All the set champions I've bought had plastic from this months release including the the McLaren MP4 even tho I've seen others have their parts in paper.

Despite the gross colour inconsistencies eh?

Will definitely pick up the orange version, as I love putting 2 of the same car together to display. They compliment each other well.
I got both 😂 the green when it came out and the orange last week! Time to build the orange
I,m honestly glad it had the 1x1 lift arm in orange to fix the Ford Raptor. (Don't know if it existed previously).

Personally I prefer the orange..... I just wish that Lego had made a model of the Gallardo 😞
