This set is a masterpiece. I’ve built all 4 of the 1:8 super cars and the Lamborghini not only looks the best but was an absolute blast to put together. I very highly recommend.
I appreciate the effort that went into the video a lot. The number of in-build comments/reviews and pointing out criticsl issues that require attention will help people, loved it.
Hi @Zerobricks and @RacingBrick. Although I positioned the mentioned thin beams correctly, I experienced a similar issue with the shifting selector. It works properly in one direction, when the four armed yellow elements are rotated 'upwards', but it gets stucked constantly in the other direction, when the four armed yellow elements are rotated 'downwards' at that shifting point when the second yellow element should rotate one quarter at every fourth shifting. At that point I cannot shift further, both selectors remain at the same position. The other shifting direction still works properly. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
I finished the first booklet and before moving on to the second I wanted to test the gears. The first 4 gears switch very smoothly but the switch to the 5th gear does not work most of the time, especially when pulling the gear switchers slowly. The part that's supposed to push the green circles slides to the side due to low friction between the parts. When pushed very quickly it sometimes succeeds to switch gears. When I manually turn the yellow 4 armed parts, the gears switch very smoothly therefore I'm quite sure I built the gear switcher mechanism correctly. I'm now trying to make sense of this comment above by @Zerobricks, as the mentioned problem in the video is similar. Which 4L thin beams are we talking about here? Or do you have any other suggestions to mitigate my problem? Should I maybe finish the build to test this again as maybe when the missing parts come, they will stabilize the gearbox further? Thanks in advance for your help.
The colour inconsistencies LEGO is having is poor considering the prices they charge. Great review. Love hearing about all the building challenges and insights.
I recently picked up the Lamborghini, and the color inconsistency is gone completely. As far as I understand, the issue was fixed on production level in layer batches. So lucky me I guess for being late to the party :p
I am not a fan of the super cars, but the "Technic" aspect of this build does look very interesting and challenging. The using of System parts into the build do add quite a lot and all of the odd angles also add to the overall aesthetics. I think I will wait for a sale....
I just finished building my Sian and I absolutely loved every second of it. While it's true that there's a lot of mechanical parts which you cannot really play with, it's also nice to know that you have build it yourself and YOU know that there's the mechanical parts. My only complains are the inconsistent colors on some pieces and that one of my small connector pieces was actually broken. Thankfully I was able to take one of those pieces from the last box as they are also used for the windshield and I was able to finish the build. It will take like 1 minute to add it there once I have received it from LEGO. Next I'm gonna buy a light set for it to make it truly amazing.
Another great video. Thank you! The disappearing axles are quite an interesting (disappointing?) technique., not to mention the black pin securing the axle in place... what an odd thing. The colors of the Italian flag are the same as the Hungarian flag. It's a Lamb-HU-rghini!

Just came back from finishing my P1 yesterday. I have both sets and they are amazing. Now I appreciate more all the gears and effort the Lego group did, I was just curious to see how the Sian’s 4 wheel drive was implemented. With the P1 things were pretty easy but you helped me recall the beauty of the gearbox in this set.
Very very very good job! I absolutely love the way you go through the interesting parts of the build . I’m still on the fence as I have the other two but may wait a bit for this one.
The best thing in this set is that there are no stickers which is a very good design choice. I don't like stickers especially in a quite expensive set like the Lamborghini.
I just did my first lego set, the 2022 mclaren F1 and was really upset with all the stickers. Very happy to see no stickers as this is the second set I plan to do.
Lego should move away from the gearboxes... they take up a ton of room, often squashing the interior and distorting the steering column. They remove the possibility for several other potential features, or motorisation, but they don't add much at all other than knowing it's there. They also don't work like a real car gearbox, so they aren't really teaching people anything either. I'd much prefer they skipped the gearbox, and added lighting/ motorisation.
I just got this set a few years late but the R9800 and D11 came before, I recently before Xmas picked up set 8865 as I was too young when it first appeared, 4 yrs ago I picked up the Chiron, dipping my toe back in the Technic pool after 24 yrs away, my last as a kid Technic set was in 94 with set 8880 and I do still get a more impressed feeling from 8880 than the Chiron or Sian, it’s the studded beam, open planes of golden age of Technic, you can see all the gears and differentials and shock absorbers and axles turning and spinning and compressing, these new cars are a marvel of engineering and a challenge to build, I find it funny that the full build of 8865 takes about 28 steps, the Sian is close to 1100 😂😂😂 The functions of 8880 keep me distracted every time I pick it up, bar opening doors or hood it trumps anything made today, I find on the Sian the axle areas and suspension arm areas are far to crowded and built up looking at 8865/8880, disappointed in the luggage bag for the Sian, is that the best you can do Lego? Also one thing that got me on every 2 nd page of the instruction which I think we could all appreciate is some instructive windows are printed far too close to the centre spine of the book, meaning for you to get a proper look and concentrate you have to apply a lot of force to crease down the centre, please Lego in future just space each page 1 or 2 cm’s from the centre spine
Its because it's not officially released yet. People like him get it early for promo on UA-cam and to find errors in the instructions, as well as flaws in the way it's built, so that when it does release, it will be error free.
I know its early, but I'd love to see the McLaren Senna as the 2022 car with an emphasis on functionality. I think the car would lend itself so well to Lego technic designwise and they could pack it full of functions. All the normal stuff but maybe also adjustable ride height and a wing reactive to turning and brakes. I really want a Lego technic supercar, but just cant convince myself to get one if it's not a car I idolize, and I dont care for Porche, Bugatti or Lamborghini at all.
This is the 5th time I watch this video today lol. I am making a new front axle, and seeing how LEGO made their axles so stable gave me some ideas for my own. New vid coming soon ok my channel!
Awsome review friend, and i think Lego must of heard you because at step 367, my instructions dont have the extra pins you speak of and i know exactly what you mean, there already on the chassis, good spot 😀 👍.

Just bought it second hand today from the bricks and minifigs in pearland TX for $250 usd. I intend to take it apart and wash the pieces. Looks like disassembly will be a challenge
There is also a mistake in the booklet when assembling the headligts, the white rods need to be pushed through the pin-hole instead of the axle hole. The first one shown is wrong, but the other side after that is shown correctly in the booklet
3:28 the suspension issues with the Chiron are because the shock absorbers are held in place with 3 long FRICTION pins, so suspension issues with the Sian will be directly related to that. To fix it, simply replace the 3 long pins with non friction ones Edit: I really don't know how I feel about this set, I like it but at the same time I dislike it
I'm about to start building this LEGO Technic 42115 Lamborghini set tonight. I don't want to watch this video until I finish so that I'm not spoiled by the experience! But, I was wondering if anyone has any tips, tricks, suggestions, words of caution for building this set or in general any Technic set of this scale? I've never built any Technic sets of this magnitude before. Thanks!
I never thought I’d own this set. Way too big for my blood, well today was my birthday and my friend needed to go to a nearby city which also has a LEGO store. I’m a 30+ year fan of lego and today was my first lego store ever. They had one. All the stars lined up and I got one. If I open it I’ll be adding numerous arduino functions to it, but I will not modify a piece. If I don’t open it I’ll save it and make a lot of money on it. Should I open it, or use it as an investment?
I don’t care about the different shades of green, it’s not really noticeable. My problem is that the engine cover is not attached. It would have been easy to hinge it to the roof. For this money I shouldn’t have to design it myself. But I love the car overall
I decided to build my lamborghini once again, those white sticks used to limit suspension are too weak to hold the weight of the car for a long time, 1 is bended and thr other one was broken in half. Keeping in mind that the car was not being played with or touched :(

Hi there! I re-assembled my Lambo, checking the correct movement of the gear at each step and now my Lambo works very good but I don't know what I changed as compared to the first assembling. 😃
Thank you for the detailed review! I am going to have to stand by my previous comment about having to pull out all the boxes as I lack space and like keeping things organized vs the reversible put back of the chiron. Next about disassembly. Yeah, needing special pliers or forcing deformation is not good. I think a new part that could have been used in many spots would have been better. Specifically a shorter "nail" (axle with the flush head on one end) since those are a very nice piece in my opinion. The headlights do bother me, so bland and janky for lack of a better word. I agree that with the rear, not using transparents are good. They have that bold look which worked well on the chiron. Transparent only works if you can have the white backing tile. The new paddleshift is a much nicer detail not being down on the floor. Is there a part number for the new heavier shocks? Could be a nice retrofit for the chiron, and would make for a nice video perhaps if can be purchases separately. That said, your vid made me paranoid about my chiron. Your reverse spins engine in all gears. Mine seemed to only reverse every second gear or something....I need to investigate now. Hrm.
haha no your wrong lol, the wow factor of a FUNCTIONAL 8 speed SEQUENTIAL gear box in a lego kit is much more beyond 10 seconds haha, just finished my DOM's CHARGER Technic kit and I'm hooked, M1000rr is next with its 4 speed gear box and this one is after that, I absolutely love these kits! great detail on this review and the quirks of the build!
I really like to watch lego technic build videos but I am not a fan of technic sets in real. Fingers hurts xD and disassembling or moding is a pain in the butt and that's what I like to do with me "classic" lego sets. Car looks spectacular, presence of printed pieces is highly appealing, just those blue pins are disturbing in overall look in such a HI-end exclusive set. Anyway really nice and detailed video.
So this is better for most people. When the bugatti came out for 300 pound ish, i waited and there was a sale on it for 180 pound, that was a great deal so i will wait for this to go down and have a deal. Atm i will buy the land rover defender because its really nice and not that expensive. about 20 pence per peice or so
I can't thank you enough for this video this was awesome can't stand the speed videos with music love how you explained everything please see more videos I am subscribing
This looks like a great set, but I don't really understand why so many multicoloured pieces need to be used? It feels like a shame to me to have a gearbox with so many rainbow coloured parts, when these could all be grey or red. Perhaps it's done for building clarity but I feel like it makes it feel more toy like.
It is so called "illegal" in the world of Lego but I had to add WD40 to the gear box and one rubber ring to the gear shifter mechanism that is thinner than a grey half bush because after a month of perfec working it just stopped working without touching anything...
I purchased this, but wondering if this is a little more detailed than I am wanting to get into. I have built a lot of lego sets, but have not done a big technic set before. Looks cool and very complex.
I think the reason why there was no printing of Pirelli on the tire walls is because LEGO and Lamborghini collaborated together, not LEGO, Lamborghini, and Pirelli. Lamborghini and Pirelli are two different companies but worked together. LEGO might've forgotten to collaborate with Pirelli or they just couldn't get anywhere with licensing an agreement for the tire wall printing.
hey im gonna get this and im new to authentic lego and my only real one is the 42132 and i might get it on september after my grade 5 post test and is it a good decision or should i just get the ducati motorcycle
42056 from 2016 is obviously the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and not the RSR, my bad :)

Great review. One mistake, you placed the 4L thin beams for shifting selector a stud too far apart. That's why your gearbox was not working properly.
True story. We'll have a look at it again when I remove the body.

Hrm.
Shocks are not new, same ones were used in the Porsche
@@RacingBrick Oh, did not know. I do not have the porsche. Wonder why they didnt use the red springs on the chiron then?
@@russelljacob7955 springs are the same hard ones in both, the only difference is the color
@@RacingBrick Aaah! Got ya. You made comment about stiff springs, so I thought they were different in not just color, but also spring rate.
Awesome review, makes me want to get one even more
GET IT!
haha no your wrong lol, the wow factor of a FUNCTIONAL 8 speed SEQUENTIAL gear box in a lego kit is much more beyond 10 seconds haha, just finished my DOM's CHARGER Technic kit and I'm hooked, M1000rr is next with its 4 speed gear box and this one is after that, I absolutely love these kits! great detail on this review and the quirks of the build!
I'm sorry, but it isn't the Porsche 911 rsr, it is the gt3 rs
Lol very true :) I was sure I had some mistakes as I wanted to publish it so badly, but I did not expect it to be in the very first sentence :D
is this worth buying? even considering resale later?
thanks
I really like to watch lego technic build videos but I am not a fan of technic sets in real. Fingers hurts xD and disassembling or moding is a pain in the butt and that's what I like to do with me "classic" lego sets. Car looks spectacular, presence of printed pieces is highly appealing, just those blue pins are disturbing in overall look in such a HI-end exclusive set. Anyway really nice and detailed video.
An Aston Martin maybe DBS would be nice as would a Nissan GTR R35 and definitely a Koenigsegg. A Pagani would also be nice
The color is very beautiful.
Excuse me. What is the size of the car? 60cm 25cm 13cm? thx
I want this set so bad!
Interesting building technics Oo
Nice video, good conclusion :)
I took the wheels off my chiron so it's sat on its floor and so far suspension is still OK
At 12:01 am June first I tried to order it. Already back ordered, delivery after July 2. And they are already on eBay at a $200 profit or more.
So this is better for most people. When the bugatti came out for 300 pound ish, i waited and there was a sale on it for 180 pound, that was a great deal so i will wait for this to go down and have a deal. Atm i will buy the land rover defender because its really nice and not that expensive. about 20 pence per peice or so
I think the next big build lego should do is the Corvette C8
I can't thank you enough for this video this was awesome can't stand the speed videos with music love how you explained everything please see more videos I am subscribing
I like !!!!!
I got this set im hoping to motorized it looks amazing
This looks like a great set, but I don't really understand why so many multicoloured pieces need to be used? It feels like a shame to me to have a gearbox with so many rainbow coloured parts, when these could all be grey or red. Perhaps it's done for building clarity but I feel like it makes it feel more toy like.
The box is cool
It is so called "illegal" in the world of Lego but I had to add WD40 to the gear box and one rubber ring to the gear shifter mechanism that is thinner than a grey half bush because after a month of perfec working it just stopped working without touching anything...
I like this type of review
I took around 10 hours on the batman batmobile (of course the big technic one). I am screwed
I really appreciate the honesty in the review. The mono tone of your voicing though was not enjoyable. Thanks for the upload.
Next time I'll try to sing it, but can't promise better results ;)
I love that thumbnail
I purchased this, but wondering if this is a little more detailed than I am wanting to get into. I have built a lot of lego sets, but have not done a big technic set before. Looks cool and very complex.
What a peaceful voice 😍
That’s insane
I might get this set eventually but for now im gonna stick with my bugatti chiron
Excellent review, thanks! :-)
I need this. I wish they'd bring back the 911 GTS. I've got the RSR but want them all :(
I think the reason why there was no printing of Pirelli on the tire walls is because LEGO and Lamborghini collaborated together, not LEGO, Lamborghini, and Pirelli. Lamborghini and Pirelli are two different companies but worked together. LEGO might've forgotten to collaborate with Pirelli or they just couldn't get anywhere with licensing an agreement for the tire wall printing.
Does the Porsche and Bugatti have Michelin branded tires?
2022: a ferrari comes 🙂 I hope...
Rolls Royce or Audi. ;/)
Probably another car within the VW car group
Please be F40 please be F40 please be F40!
@@whydoineedahandlewtf would be amazing, F40 LM. But prob would be the new sf90 then
@@whydoineedahandlewtf they already made the creator f40 and the technic cars are all based on newly released cars
Why is the 8th speed the slowest and 1st is the quickest
This is an awesome model and love the colour. I will purchase this someday but haven’t built my Bugatti yet.
Amazing give me one!!
@Dawid Górski what does that mean?
