Hello Balazs. Question. If we are to swap the cardan cups at Step 104 as you state, where do we do the alternate swap again in the manual? You cant swap one without swapping the pieces somewhere else in the manual. Or does the manual call out to use the second smaller cup correctly in another step? I was conveniently stopped at this step as I didnt have the second smaller cup in Bags1. Ive been waiting on the second smaller cup from Lego because I thought it was missing.
@@rufnusd8730 there's no part to swap at step 104, you need to use the longer one as indicated. The callout is wrong at the top, as the green checkmark is next to the shorter part instead of the longer one.
@@RacingBrick Thank you. I understand. This being said, if everyone is following the manual then Lego should be having a huge influx of calls for the second small cup piece as you only have one in bags 1, used at step 89.
@@rufnusd8730 I think they won't, hopefully most people follow the main image, and additionally the smaller piece cannot be connected to the light bluish gray part with the ball at the end :)
I bought 42143 few days ago, started to build yesterday. I found your article after I've proceeded to step 200.(1 of 1st box) Do I have to take everything apart to make it right? Or how many steps should I go forward?
@@extrakubik4123 I would have bought the lambo without any hesitation if its colour wasn't so repulsive, this is truly a shame because apart from that I think it might be the best supercar set (technically the Bugatti seems better to me but I don't like its design)
@@AB-dd4jz It's shame that it's colour especially on the spoiler are different but if you don't pay that much attention to it than it doesn't matter and on shelf it looks amazing. Daytona definitely looks more smooth but I hate the car design irl. And yeah Chiron looks like a painted box a little bit but still looks awesome to me.
Everything is so sophisticated and amazingly detailed I wouldn’t be surprised on how strict Ferrari was when making this set just like how some of their cars a limited to certain people
Top notch build and review as usual, the new wheel/tyre combo is incredible and no stickers Lego is moving in the right direction although I suspect that is more Ferrari’s doing.
At 6:16 I feel there is something wrong with the front axle, the suspension arms should be at the same level of the bottom of the chassis .. it is up a little bit.. am i the only one who noticed this 🤔
Watched a dozen videos about this model now. Your’s is by far the best. Detailed, spotted the errors, saw the Lamborghini looks and with all that also being one of the first to drop a review. Wow! Can’t wait to see your follow up video and order one myself. Keep it up!
One of the best Technic sets ever in terms of looks imo! The shaping is just amazing, with so few gaps. Not many functions though, but not sure what more we could ask for really. The price might be pushing it though ngl, as much as printed parts do def add value
Not having stickers is great. Really improves the quality. I’m a little surprised though that this didn’t include custom luggage like the other sets. Not a big deal. Very much looking forward to this set.
Dayum so it has new shocks and bigger wheels. And tires that doesnt have LEGO printed on the sidewall. Very nice. I would have never known. Clear upgrade.
Ohhhhh cool! Finally some promising Differential gears! These look like they can at least handle 2x the torque!

I'm glad I checked your corrections to the instructions. I was wondering about the 2 extra panel fairings. Another error is in step 219. It shows a 1:1 diagram of where to put the bush on the axle. They show it at 6 stud units from the end, but it should be 5 stud units. The axle goes 4 stud units into the chassis. My set was missing 1 connecting rod for the engine and I had a mini roller skate instead (which the set doesn't use any of). I noticed something wasn't right with the transmission shifting, but hadn't gotten around to looking into it yet, Thanks for showing this correction and saving me time. Step 1267 also doesn't indicate the orientation of the plate, so you can put the 'L' beam on in the right direction to the top and bottom of the image on the front.
Great detailed look at the model/building phase. Good catch with the missing pieces from the instructions. Would love to see those new shock absorbers show up in most modern technic sets as well as Creator Expert vehicles for additional stability /functionality. A much better design as the previous one are too soft as evidenced on how tipsy the Raptor is when steering.
Really enjoyed this build, bar the few errors, I’m no fan of Ferrari but I do love this design, finished off great with very few panel gaps, Lego done a great job representing the real car, some of the build reminded me of the old Test Car build,
Not a huge fan of the back so i may go for the sian instead... lego NEEDS to make a koenigsegg one:1, jesko, or agera one of these because i will 1000% buy that
An amazing set! My only gripe with this is the amount of new pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I think new pieces are needed, but usually it is gradual. Not using as many new pieces shows Lego is capable of building with their own elements. Al in all, looks good though! Wish the gearbox was a bit different, too.
It’s a bit sad, that the gearbox is essentially the same as the one in the lambo- but irl its quite the same as well. The mistake according the gearbox and the two missing panels in the instructions are a bit lousy. I like the book, altough it would’ve been cool if it was a gift for the first ten customers or would be way cheaper for people that are in some kind of „lego car club“. I really like that there are a lot of prints, and I like the way the rear is built. Also the box is nice and the tires too. But the real cool thing is the new Diff. I really looks sturdy- I like that and it‘s the only thing interesting for me as a technic MOCer 😊 Of course this set is way to expensive for a pile of plasic pueces and it also should belong to a separate „supercar“ line imo, Not into the technic line. At the same time I‘m sure lots of people will buy it and because of that it will be made many cool B- and C-models out of it. Like always a great review!
the new diff gears look sturdy and like real-life-differential gears, which i like. but they / their connection also looks even more wobbly than the old differential (20 to 28 teeth with three 12 teeth gears inside), which means even more power goes into wobbling and eating out the technic beam/frame pin holes which hold the gears and axles. and that's a bummer. I am and have been trying to build a fast RC car with full suspension and gear box, but even with two buggy motors and a 11.1V LiPO it won't go 20km/h or more because most of that power goes into frying the motors or eating the drive train / transmission. i haven't yet tried the metal "lego" pieces that exist and always am excited about new, sturdier versions of lego parts (like the newer cv-joints from 42099) but these differential gears as well as the new 12 and 20 teeth gears look rather unnecessary for high-power applications.
I have the Sian. Loved building that (although some points weren't the clearest). This set looks great but, I am not a Ferrari man. My dream of a Lego Technic Lotus Esprit 350/650 would never happen but I can dream.
Wow this may be the only Lego kit that I'm SICK of working on! I built the freaking TITANIC in less time! I'm just over halfway through and it has been a SLOG and incredibly complex! I like complex builds but I can't even imagine a regular person trying to get through this. It might take them MONTHS!
If I'm honestly this set is cool and nice that already there are some parts in red color but issue with gearbox.. LEGO have to more pay attention for this type details in my opinion. I also like that there are not stickers - I stopped sticking them
Great video. This will be my second build, the first being the Lamborghini. Last time, I didn’t check UA-cam first, and discovered lots of anomalies in that build-hoping to avoid that this time. What did frustrate me with the lambo kit was missing parts-3 times, I had to order parts from Lego bring the build to a dead stop. Wasn’t upset, but a little annoyed. These things are pretty cool.

That's what happens when Lego sends you all the stuff for free. They don't pay for ANY of their kits. They are all sent, FREE OF CHARGE, in trade for a great review. You notice that they NEVER have a bad thing to say about any of the kits they get. It's all a sham.
I kind of guessed this one to be a Ferrari ..... based on the color. Orange, Blue, Green...... the next one is either a Red or a Yellow. Red is obviously Ferrari and Yellow is most iconic as a Lambo. But we already had a Lambo.... so Red Ferrari for sure....
@@CG_Pigeon nope they aren't smaller, the stud fits there perfectly. Putting 1x1 round plates in Technic holes is a common practice that you can find on many Technic models.
I think they changed the way they do the gearbox for Sián as previous ones had problems however I've found my Siáns gearbox doesn't work (no matter what I try to do.) and on previous cars the gearbox was fine for me so its a bit of a shame that they are sticking to that style but hopefully the problems won't be the same of this car.. Everything else about this car is great too.
That’s funny because my Sian works flawlessly but my Bugatti has started messing up, the gears just keep going there’s no stop on the lowest or highest gears.
@@brownpower9229 Yeah I seem to be the only person who had a problem I had completely rebuilt it too and it just doesn't work for me. but the Bugatti and Porsche I have heard a lot of people have problems but those are fine for me... Typing makes me think the issue might not be the gearbox but something else lol..
I wonder if Lego will make a new engine design atleast with an engine head and working valves and if u can modify the pistons still u can add o rings and have real compression for the real 4 stroke cycle that would be awesome
yer i think im gunna give this one a miss. i think if you've got the Sian or the gt3 its hard to compare. This just doesn't look that amazing to me personally compared to those 2 beauties

A $400 Tag and it comes in basic plastic bags? I paid less for my Sian and Bugatti and their packaging was incredible, seeing plastic bags on that price is a little underwhelming to be honest.
This one has to be my least favorite out of the 4, I will probably get it eventually after I get the sian. But I feel like they could've pulled off a F40 way better then the sp3 and maybe get better sales with the f40 being more iconic
There seems to be little clearance in the front for the shocks and I heard certain tires and rims go on specific sides of the car? I looked in the manual and I still can't figure out which ones go on each side.

I waited to buy the Sian when it was priced at around 230-250. I'll do the same for this one.
Just wait a year, you can easily get the Sian for 130€ less than msrp.

i think the engine multiplier issue is fixed in newer sets now. The intructions show the orange parts to point upwards, just like in the lambo

Umm actually the slowest engine speed would be the highest gear since the engine is supposed to drive the wheels, not the other way around

@@RacingBrick when you shove the middle stud piece into the technic hole, the stud will cause stress because technic holes are smaller.
@@CG_Pigeon nope they aren't smaller, the stud fits there perfectly. Putting 1x1 round plates in Technic holes is a common practice that you can find on many Technic models.

I think they changed the way they do the gearbox for Sián as previous ones had problems however I've found my Siáns gearbox doesn't work (no matter what I try to do.) and on previous cars the gearbox was fine for me so its a bit of a shame that they are sticking to that style but hopefully the problems won't be the same of this car.. Everything else about this car is great too.
That’s funny because my Sian works flawlessly but my Bugatti has started messing up, the gears just keep going there’s no stop on the lowest or highest gears.
@@brownpower9229 Yeah I seem to be the only person who had a problem I had completely rebuilt it too and it just doesn't work for me. but the Bugatti and Porsche I have heard a lot of people have problems but those are fine for me... Typing makes me think the issue might not be the gearbox but something else lol..
The bodywork looks cool, I like lack of stickers and stuff, however it looks like lacking functions. I am waiting for next part!
I wonder if Lego will make a new engine design atleast with an engine head and working valves and if u can modify the pistons still u can add o rings and have real compression for the real 4 stroke cycle that would be awesome
yer i think im gunna give this one a miss. i think if you've got the Sian or the gt3 its hard to compare. This just doesn't look that amazing to me personally compared to those 2 beauties

@@gabrielchan4420 yer I completely understand. I'm an f1 fan and McLaren fan so I grabbed 2 of the new f1 cars. But this just doesn't look that great to me. They could have picked a different Ferrari imo
A $400 Tag and it comes in basic plastic bags? I paid less for my Sian and Bugatti and their packaging was incredible, seeing plastic bags on that price is a little underwhelming to be honest.
This one has to be my least favorite out of the 4, I will probably get it eventually after I get the sian. But I feel like they could've pulled off a F40 way better then the sp3 and maybe get better sales with the f40 being more iconic
The back bumper keeps falling apart is there a glue that's a little better than Elmer's glue for holding bricks together
There seems to be little clearance in the front for the shocks and I heard certain tires and rims go on specific sides of the car? I looked in the manual and I still can't figure out which ones go on each side.
Anyone can answer this question? Is there a cheap and recommended set with LEGO technique?
