I'm very dissapointed in the new FM. I still cannot believe they've released game with less content than FM6 (not even 7) and with less visual fidelity than FM5 (go try it and then tell me i'm wrong). Also, this all-encompassing yellow tint which is present due to some questional lighting choices + TAA anti-aliasing makes game look much, much less clear to the eye, and these actually BAD rain effects without the puddles on a roads (which were present in FM6), and no activities beside the races themselves... Just, what they've been thinking?
I haven’t played FM yet but FM7 looks way better and i think it has a better experience especially the online and campaign.the campaign no need to talk about its balanced, enjoyable and gives u a really good reward in a way that u can change cars and tune really freely.the online was just pure fun(to me) especially the drift sessions that i would go for hours just drifting with random players or drag racing or trying ur tune to see how ur car peforms in a race trac with no issue in money wise. i had 500+ hours and about 500 cars the game was almost perfect (cant wait to go back to the game)

I struggle to see braking markers because everything looks so muddy. It's ridiculous. Not to mention the lighting. OMG the lighting. I did a comparison of AMS2 VIR North vs Forza at night heavy overcast. Even with all the added lights on Forza, you can barely see the track, because nothing gets lit up. On AMS 2 with no lighting past the start/finish, the headlights alone were clear enough to make seeing super easy. What the hell is wrong with this game!?!? Seriously. I don't even care about super graphics or ray tracing. Please, for the love of god fix the out of focus and baked in motion blur. Let me see sharp iages with clear contrast. And fix the lighting for the love of god. Boot up Forza Horison 5 and it's night and day. FH5 looks absolutely stunning, runs smooth, and crystal sharp. Once I get it back set up I'll plug everything in and and reply here with my Pithouse settings and the in game settings. I'm pretty happy with them for the most part. @@manostororosso2364 I would if I could. Really wish I had got the Playstation instead. Been very frustrating with the Xbox, not a very good console at all
I'm now getting pretty good clarity and performance on AMD 5600X, MSI 3080SC, 32GB RAM with Motorsport 2023 but there's no doubt a 2017 game here doesn't look far off if not better in terms of sky and trackside objects. FFB and handling is genuinely pretty decent in the latest game but they have more tyre contact points so that's to be expected. The AI is no better in 7 I see though 😂
I avoided the new game because of all the issues people reported. I figured I would wait until the game is fixed and if there is still a community left playing it at that time I would pick it up. I need to get back into Forza 7 though, haven't played it in quite some time now.
I agree with your opinion, many wrong decisions in the newest game and it just feels badly directed, like lots of mistakes have been made and still pushed in production rather than taking the time to address the issue.
FM 7 felt/feels more fun, with more to do. A MUCH better campaign, better /more tracks. I frequently give Motorsport a break and play FM7 for a few days.
As someone with experience in software development, it doesn't add up at all, in one hand you have turn 10 owned by Microsoft, and they should've have more than enough manpower for sure, also isn't this the same team as horizon? Those game run phenomenal on PC they look awesome as well, maybe all that "build from the ground up" was just pure PR bullshit to build hype, this seems either like a rushed product, maybe they scrapped some other version and started over, or the project was miss managed, by either not having focus or a defined identity, or maybe changing hands and directions several times, in due time for sure we'll know what really happened during development
That seems to be the general consensus. It feels like the whole game was separated in to different categories and out sourced with next to no communication between areas. Either way something happened and COVID 19 happening isn't it. The marketing would be so close to false advertising or misleading/descriptive practices its not funny.
I agree. I put too many hours into 7 - have put many hours into 8, multiplayer gameplay in 7 was better. There's something really broken in the physics in 8 which is occasionally apparent- for example racing last night in the Ferrari 430 spotlight car, car tuned perfectly - do practice/ qually and hit every apex perfectly, loads of grip - go to the race and three cars are racing closely side by side, not touching but really close and all the while there is no grip as if all the track rubber has just disappeared or as if the weather conditions have just changed, even though its a constant dry track. Eventually I pull a gap and immediately the grip comes back, then its easy to pull away from the others still sliding around. How many times have you been racing online and seen the leader pull away an unbelievable gap, its not just skills - its broken. 7 was better.
It's funny you say that. My mate and I have constantly said the same or similar thing. Couldn't quite put our finger on it. It's like the track goes from a fast to a green track after qualifying. It is a very inconsistent game really. Car handling is all over the place. The Formula Mazdas have been the most fun for me so far and now they are gone.
@@untrainedprofessionals2374 Yeah, the esports groups issued a statement of why they couldn't use Forza and observed the same thing of inconsistent track grip level. Others at first put it down to some sort of aero wash effect or incorrect drafting modelling. I suspect its worse than that as have noticed it on slower cars with no or little wing, a car with precise handling like the F430 shows this behaviour well- you can hit a precise braking point during practice/ qually but then in the race it all goes to pot and the same braking point sees one running wide etc...as if the track suddenly went green, with moss on it. Am convinced its a proximity to other cars effect as definitely noticed it returning to normal when running clear, and it might explain a lot of the erratic multiplayer driving. Maybe, just maybe its caused by the tyres overheating while jostling for position, but didn't notice the indicator running yellow, and if so its probably too sensitive.
@@nellyx1x493 I think you are definitely on to something with following cars and braking. It would be the best possible explanation I have heard of so far. I haven't experienced anything like it in any other game. Well not that I can think of.
God forbid Gran Turismo 7 comes out on PC this year with no major issues. With VR support or even triple monitor support. That would be the end for Forza Motorsport 8 on PC. Forza Motorsport 8 was made just to be a game. Not a great game. It's what you get when a game developer has no fear of " will it sell well". Gamepass made them super lazy.
Gran Turismo not only cannot compete with Forza, but it is a complete joke compared to the other serious racers on PC. It is the only game in town for Sony fanboys. It's just another game to the rest of us because not having any competition on Sony hardware has made them super lazy.

Good video. Something to note, though, is that if you want the game to be "smoother," you would want a higher framerate. The higher the framerate, the smoother the gameplay. If you have a monitor that supports higher than 60 FPS (and you really should), you'd be better off lowering some graphical options so that your average framerate could be at least around 90.

Forza 7 is hardly playable on a FFB wheel, even if you bodge it with third party software. Additionally, you haven't been able to buy it in ages so it's not relevant either. FM8 not running smoothly may be down to a few things, but it can and does run smoothly if you set it up correctly. Random frame drops sounds like forced rebar/SAM. The game doesn't like it. Turn it off. Or you're running out of VRAM. I personally run an 80fps cap and can hit it comfortably 99% of the time. Don't tell Turn10 and their 60 fps multiplayer cap. I ain't playing at 60. Especially with FFB being broken in first person.
LOL! Are you some teenage troll? Of COURSE it is relevant. Of COURSE it is more than playable on a FFB wheel. Servers are still up and literally millions still own it. FM8 is shitty and not improving. There's no comparison. I was smart enough to buy FM7 in its last week when it went down to $9.95. I was also smart enough to skip FM8 after watching reviews. Too bad you weren't.
@ErickRus57 How the “center hold” i realized playing FH4 the wheel almost doesn’t get “stiff” at center no matter how much you change the setting. Assuming FM7 has way better overall FFB you’d say?
Forza Motorsports plays smoothly for me on my midrange pc. I get between 60fps - 78fps in the game with no stuttering or lag. All settings at high but motion blur disabled. If you’re buying Forza or Gran Turismo with the idea of them being full blown simulators, you’re delusional or hilariously misinformed. These games are simcade, they’ve always struck the balance between arcade and sim, hence why they’re fun to play on controllers.
If your PC runs FM7 at 60fps, then it's definitely not "beefy". It's mediocre. So instead of complaining about a new game, with upgraded and more demanding graphics running slow, build a new PC.

OH Thats Sad as I was Looking at the entry level moza wheels for my next upgrade. I use Controller at the moment as I sold my Logitech g92 at christmas Thrustmaster may be a solution for me as cant afford much more myself. It is Sad that such a big title has so many problems in many areas. Best of luck finding a solution!

How do I play Forza Motorsport 7? It has been removed from the Microsoft store and I really want to try it out.
Just play Gran Turismo
@@manostororosso2364 I would if I could. Really wish I had got the Playstation instead. Been very frustrating with the Xbox, not a very good console at all

I've been playing Forza Motorsport 4 a lot lately.
I’m just waiting for them to sell it for like 10 bucks like they did with 7 at the end of the lifecycle.
I agree with your opinion, many wrong decisions in the newest game and it just feels badly directed, like lots of mistakes have been made and still pushed in production rather than taking the time to address the issue.
If Dan likes fm7 better than fm23, then i like fm7 better too😊 looking forward to the podcast. Peace✌️
time of day and night plus weather system is amazing but they need fix many things and add more content to make FM8 great
I attempted three races on FM today and all three crashed
Horizon is made by Playground Games. Turn 10 does Motorsport.
Forza Motorsport add boring cars I rather I go back to Forza Motorsport 7
Not to mention the chromatic effect the cars have on the new game
Why is this a hot take lol? I could have told you that
God forbid Gran Turismo 7 comes out on PC this year with no major issues. With VR support or even triple monitor support. That would be the end for Forza Motorsport 8 on PC.
Forza Motorsport 8 was made just to be a game. Not a great game. It's what you get when a game developer has no fear of " will it sell well". Gamepass made them super lazy.
Gt7 will never release on PC just like the others
Gran Turismo not only cannot compete with Forza, but it is a complete joke compared to the other serious racers on PC. It is the only game in town for Sony fanboys. It's just another game to the rest of us because not having any competition on Sony hardware has made them super lazy.
@@CuriousGamer022 It's already being developed and will release in Q1 of 2025. Sorry, Sony Fanboi.
@@Great-Documentaries I'm not a Sony fan I actually hate playstation,I'm just saying pc will never release gt7 and it's not confirmed plus they've never released gt7 to pc so why would they pc players don't deserve any new releases
Is this work on windows 11?
0:30: "Prequel" is the wrong word. "Predecessor" works. But FM7 is not a prequel to FM.
FM7 is better. It's still my go to sim racer. It looks amazing and has great controls. The racing is fast and exciting. The cars sound fast and visceral which is important for me in a racing game.
I played forza motorsport 7 when it was on Xbox game pass it is a nicer game than Forza motorsport
Hello . Le multijoueurs ne fonctionne plus sur Forza 7 ?
non
That’s weird I have Motorsport 2023 maxed out settings wise but I run it at 1366x768 and I see 80fps on my 5800x3d and 6950xt gpu. I don’t find 7 better than 2023.
lol why are you playing at 1366x768 😂😂😂😂 not even worth playing
@@SIMRIG412 that the resolution of my screen, and it’s still totally worth playing, I have the ingame upscaling set to I believe 200% It looks great and runs at 80+ FPS.
@@JoeyBagZ you paid 2000 $$$ to play at 720p? this is at bottleneck.
Bring bsck ipen track days then fm8 is at least neck and neck.
FHs has better FFB than FMs
Nah, FM5 is the best Motorsport ever. No greedy pratices, just you, your time and your ingame cash.
In FM Rebot i cant save money because all the money i make is just to buy the next car just for other modes.....(and theyre expensive)
respect your opinion, but i prefer FM6, it has good graphics for an game with 9 years, has an good variety of cars and tracks. Also it's like EZ to play on any car, Still play it today.

Also, imagine saying a game is better because it has better graphics....

Yes i do, but as FM6 is from 2015, i honestly think that it has good graphics, but not as good than FM7. (imo)

fm7 is 100% better
Not a chance with a wheel the ffb is AWFUL the difference between the 2 is HUGE fm7 is near unplayable without a controller and that's just not fun.... I miss the variety of vehicles and tracks but the gameplay is definitely worse
you cant drIve whit a wheel most deffently
I drive exclusively with a wheel and would NEVER use a controller for a non-arcade racer like FM7. You don't have a clue.
@Great-Documentaries well that's your opinion i have both fm7 ffb is AWFUL fm8 ffb is GOOD but what's funny is calling forza a non arcade racer....its far more arcade than sim
@@timothygould106 its a lil harder then(big) 8 thats a real arcade game.. if you setting up your car you even come close to assetto whit wheel . en it takes skils to get the hang of it .. tjust like a real car 😘

Forza Motorsport lacks tracks!!

@@Great-DocumentariesWhat’s your experience with the FFB if you were to compare it to FH5?
@ErickRus57 How the “center hold” i realized playing FH4 the wheel almost doesn’t get “stiff” at center no matter how much you change the setting. Assuming FM7 has way better overall FFB you’d say?
@ErickRus57 perfect answer. Thank you.

Forza Motorsports plays smoothly for me on my midrange pc. I get between 60fps - 78fps in the game with no stuttering or lag. All settings at high but motion blur disabled.

They aren't sim titles though, fm and gt are in between fh and assetto corsa
Thank goodness they aren’t sim titles then.
If you’re buying Forza or Gran Turismo with the idea of them being full blown simulators, you’re delusional or hilariously misinformed. These games are simcade, they’ve always struck the balance between arcade and sim, hence why they’re fun to play on controllers.
You're trash!!!
They are quite fun on a good ffb. Not a sim, but a fun game
Forza motorsport 2023 have better physics 👌
That's up for debate. It's awful on a controller and a wheel.
@@FormulaProg on a contoller?) c'mon its Forza! 😀 Btw, a have Series X and FM7, FM8 and g920. On wheel FM8 plays very nice!
If your PC runs FM7 at 60fps, then it's definitely not "beefy". It's mediocre. So instead of complaining about a new game, with upgraded and more demanding graphics running slow, build a new PC.
