Whats the details bro!
What is the website
@Mike Stanley there isn’t one. Went down a rabbit hole of sorts to get connected with a Chinese manufacturer. I’m working on creating something anyone can order from. Don’t think ordering just one or two sets would be worthwhile for anyone compared to just ordering from the more expensive company in USA. If it is got my word I’ll let u know. If not I’ll try to set something up that might make it worthwhile

I’d love to do this to my truck, it’s completely clear all around. I’d like to give it some extra character lol, and having a dimmer and on/off switch would be excellent for when I travel to different states on roads trips. I wouldn’t violate any tint laws by doing so
I drive with 20% on all my windows. Been through the entire lower 48 states with zero issues.
Funny most cops the darkest tints on there car and have the nerve to give out tickets
The only way cops can give you a ticket is if you consent to them testing your window.. This is a search. Cops need a warrant to search your vehicle or probable cause. A cop saying your tint is too dark is not probable cause, it is reasonable suspicion. Not enough for a search..
@Robert Slackware it has to less than 20% reflective. I'm tryna find some 👀
@@carnationvideos4258 In Michigan, they changed it to a fine only, no more fix-it ticket. Since then I use static cling tint and can peel it off when I get pulled over.

Can't wait for this info, the CTSVSPORT is gonna be so nice. I already have nano ceramic tint but at the legal limits and this Louisiana sun is still killing me.
Writing tickets for dark windshields should be illegal. Sense the auto is not owned by the state. Safety required products are a must.
But when pulled, the officer says " I can't see you." That's not a reason to pull someone. For 2 years, everyone entered a bank with a covid mask. You entered a bank before, with a mask, and you were told to remove it out of fear of being robbed. At American national, I was asked to remove my hat and glasses or leave the building, while an Islamic woman ( you couldn't tell if it was a Trans) had a burka on. Nothing was said to her. I told the bank to kiss my ass and called them un-American.
Kool Idea. Would definitely do that. I've actually thought about this a few years back. Good job.

Cleaning and waxing your car would improve it more than tint.

Umm yeah but that’s not the subject of the video 🤦🏾♀️
I enjoy your video Maknificent... but yeah, I did think about the detail too... great content!
Yea but tint has a purpose. It cools the temp of your car down on those hot Sumer days

Brotha didn't even try to wash his car before making the video, lol
I was thinking the same lmaoo

I thought that, then I saw North Dakota....so who cares, it's minus whatever and will probably get frost bitten every 10 minutes anyway
I was thinking 🤔why put expensive tint on that dirty pile of 💩? Then I realized he didn't wash that piece of 😺💩
I own a repair shop in New York and window tint is part of the yearly vehicle inspection. You said something about 30% and what that means is the tint can not block more than 30% of the light. The tint meter measures how much light is coming through so the meter will read 100 without even putting it on a window because no light is being blocked so it sees 100% of the light. If 30% of the light is blocked this means the tint meter would read 70. I think you are confused thinking the tint meter needs to read 30 or higher but that is not correct it needs to read 70 or higher so with the tint reading in the 60’s it would still fail a New York State vehicle inspection.
It’s like 5% is darker then 20%
This stuff is just what i need! I'd put it on the front windshield and when powered off, it'll provide shade from this texas heat!
Awesome I really need that my wife doesn’t like dark and that’s the best of both worlds. Thank you for the information
Will def get you info after quality control verification to ensure juice is worth the squeeze. I can handle problems but don't want any surprises ya know? Ensuring it checks all boxes first before recommending ,stay tuned!
Please send me the information.. I need to buy this
Okay, turning it opaque white might work with a white car. But it's opaque. Having a clear window going darker but still transparent, that's what people want. Well, actually, having the window tint being able to be any color is probably the ultimate goal, though I'd settle for a dark tint.
Dark Window tint in Florida is a must have for your interior not for nefarious purposes
Oh wow, North Dakota plates, lived up in Williston for a number of years.
Crazy Williston!
Don’t ya hate it when a cop gives you a ticket for dark tinted and his patrol car has dark tinted windows too! Where is the justice in that????
I hear you!
They invented this back in the 50's. Popular Mechanics did a segment on it. Surely the video is floating around the internet somewhere.
It works like a large digital watch face. Add a current and the liquid crystal turns transparent. Remove the current and it turns opaque. It's normal state is opaque.
For this reason, the material IS NOT FAIL SAFE. Thus, it should NEVER be used in an application where, a sudden loss of power could possibly lead to death or injury as a result. Anyone installing this in their car probably won't get ticketed. Rather, they should be thrown in jail and fined.
I'd go with the dimmer. Make it as dark as you want while driving, then, because it always takes a few moments for an officer to get to you, you quickly adjust the tint to where it needs to be; just make sure you've marked/labeled where that is.
And, if an officer is right next to you, as you're pulled over, just do the same thing. Simply find a rather ubiquitous location in your vehicle that is not only easily accessible, but not easily seen by anyone looking in from either side.
Are there shops that provide and install dimmers? I am in the washington dc metro region less than 10 miles from DC. Trying to google auto window tint dimming shops can't find anything. I was hoping to find a shop that orders or has the dimmer in stock (I pay for it of course) and I pay for them to install it. Also id like to find out if it's possible to have it to dim the front windshield and back windshield?
I saw this electric window tint years ago on a children's show hosted by Levar Burton called Reading Rainbow 🌈 and had wondered why this wasn't mainstream by now 20v+ years later?
Thanks a lot great video.
Just another point of failure.
Just go with the regular tint it will look darker at night anyway.
While during the day it looks good enough from a distance to be noticed as tinted.
Money saved and no tickets.
We not even going to fault people doing windshields like they are not supposed to do.
My eye doctor wrote me a prescription for the tint for my window tint because im light Sensitive
Unfortunately alot of eye doctors don't wanna do that for people anymore. They tell you to wear sunglasses
How exactly u asked
Drivers with tint are usually novice drivers. Driving is a social event and drivers commutator with each other. You need to see each other.
personally, I like to be able to see the other driver to know he sees me and know he is not looking at his radio or playing with his phone before I cross in front of him. I have darker tint on rear windows and lighter on the front where I am visible. Never been stopped
Or get a note from your doctor saying sunlight causes you migraines and cops can’t write you for tint and you can even tint your windshield ?
Most states do not allow medical exemption. If you are visually impaired, you shouldn't be driving.
Tim Mack migraines are not a visual impairment it’s neurological 🤷♂️
@@bigstevecolucci Im well aware. But it effects vision. Blindness is often a neurological condition also.
Tim Mack you are correct that is also true I just know that is a lawful excuse in my state
Not true ny state won't give medical for tinted windows ben there done that
Custom plates help declassify your self as the general public with basic plates lol
Interesting 🤔
How tf did I not know about this tint🤦♀️ my state requires at least 70% light in on the front & it doesn't match my 25% tint all around. Its been giving me OCD. Thank you for this!
That’s so cool! I’d live to get that because I personally tint my truck darkness and am forced to pull it every year to get a safety check, also I’ve always wanted to tint my windshield and that just so convenient since you can just turn it off. That would totally solve my problem.
just pull your front windows down whenever u pass by a cop, do this all the time with a 20' charger scat pack with 5% tints
You can just make something up to ur doctor about the light blinding u and they will give u a sticker to put on the back window. This is free and they can’t find a reason to ticket u.
Gonna get it. I work near sunset and always have the sun in my eyes.
This is something I would do . That’s a cool feature
Have the police officer check his tint. In most cases they are too dark also.
They are the law but not above the law.
Tony I bet 95% + are following the law since they all have superior officers to answer to and where ever theirs people theirs people whining and ratting out other people I'm sure it's no different at a police station.

We’re just doing the next best thing go to the junkyard get two windows that are not tinted in the swap them out before you go to the DMV
Just curious why your Beautiful Mercedes is soo dirty inside/outside?

Smart!!! U still got that info .
Thanx for doing the research man !
old video but I am interested I'm checking the updated video now
Yes I would keep it always clear when transporting fentanyl to attract zero possible attention. Then darken it up when not driving dirty just for privacy and sun protection :) can you do a uv light test (the harmful sun rays) getting through to see if it protects like the ceramic or nano ceramic tint that blocks out up to 95% of uv rays regardless of the shade. So it protects your interior as well as your bodies skin and eyes causing left eye cataracts for people who drive alot. So do not just the light test but also the uv test and see if it changes in synch with the level you have on the dimmer. I can't find any info on that!
The link you have shows the two door kit is still nearly a $1000
Is much easier & cheaper to get a tint exemption from the DMV...
I love this I have 2 tint ti kits I 1 day.from different cities.
U got a new sub bro. Fire info. Dope video
What about the other reasons tint has value? Privacy is one thing but what about heat?
I hate having no tint I feel like the world is watching me. But I also MUST get a good ceramic tint to keep my car cool just like being in a parking garage.
Your in North Dakota? I keep getting stopped for my tint bro
reminds me of the mclaren tinting mechanism
Very interested in doing this myself. Can you shoot me a link to the material?
How u gonna apply that on your windows? That thing is as thick as a cardboard
I’m just gonna stick with my 5%. Looks way better than that cling wrap stuff you messing with.
"Doesn't look as good." Yeah, you know what else doesn't look good? The morgue.
Thank you so much for the video. That’s a great product, I would definitely you it. Can you tell me where I can get it from?
I beat out a speeding ticket for 75 bucks but had to 230 in court cost.
Ouch
They have black ? I’m interested
Well going off your video I would still be illegal with the black tint since it went from 1% to 9%. If it went from 1% to clear like the white one then I would definitely pay to get it done. But white would not look good on my vehicles since they are black on black
Idk how illegal it is to have all windows tinted but in Arizona all I know the front windows including the windshield should not be tinted. But everyone has them tinted and our excuse IS THE MF SUN BEAMING 🌞
Just use legwl level of tint in your area. Or get the laws changed.
With me if I demand that my car look nice the one thing I would do is keep it absolutely clean. A filthy car with dark tend is not even close to looking as nice as a stock car that's impeccable inside and out.
Very clever Trevor

I grew up in the 80s when mirror tint was legal. Folks were convinced that profiling or lack therefore was the actual issue. Somehow WE let them do this. Officer safety right? My grandad obviously lived in a time when getting pulled over was rare. But everyone "progressed." To what is my question. What are we progressing toward?
"Sir, your horse was running too fast for these woods and your sword is long enough to be competition for mine. YOUR HIGHNESS would not be happy with this!"

Progressing into the tyranical fantasies of the past is regression no matter how many definitions you change.

@adonian Yeah, me too.
Allowing cops to have dark tint and citizens not is unconstitutional--there should be equal treatment under the law. I could care less about "officer safety"--cops should be exempt from the laws they are meant to enforce.

Some states actually will let you tint all the way around, including windshield if you have a letter from your eye doctor stating you have really sensitive eyes to and in bright light. I know 2 people that have it and have their car tinted all the way around.
When I lived in Arizona, people were tinting their windshields with limo or 1 shade lighter
@@Mark-vd7cb I live in Az.. limo all around just roll down my windows around cops
Straight show whip, fishbowl is okay, daily, 🙅🏻♂️
Fun fact, In illinois u get a specific plate for windshield tint. There is a list of diagnosis that would qualify you but sensitive eyes isnt good enough, that can be solved with tinted glasses, to get the full windshield tint you have to be diagnosed with something such as allergy to the sun, or albinism, etc. That would justify the whole cabin of your vehicle being dark
Be careful with that dark tint. Especially at night on side windows. I didnt see a person walking on the sidewalk until i saw them in front of my car. I was less than a millisecond from throttle down to exit a driveway. Just saying. Something like that will be more expensive than tint.
Well if you weren't driving on the sidewalk you wouldn't have to worry about seeing the guy walking just food for thought 😂💭

The limiting factor to this is that the driver's view from inside the vehicle will be as obstructed as seen from outside (vs. traditional tinting). Yes, It can be adjusted by using the switch, but still...
Wtffffffff are you serious?! This is completely WORTHLESS then wow what a waste of time
It's useless while driving. Cannot see out of smoked glass. Ordinary tint is limited inward view but not effect outviewing, much.
If I get ticketed, I'm going to document my States Agency use of tint for Police Safety and I'm presenting my case as my window tint is for my safety. I will present evidence where individuals have been shot through their windows while in their vehicles. Where vehicles have been broken into by breaking the window and window tint makes it harder to break out a window. I will also present showing where under Rule of Law it isn't legal for government to make a law itself does not follow and ask for a dismissal of my case. If the Judge doesn't dismiss my case, I will next take my documentation to Sue for the deprivation of my Rights.
ok ok
Yes I would do this. Several reasons. Night blindness as you said, temperature control to keep heat out, and a sense of or a sort of privacy, with severe anxiety at most times of everyday I feel more comfortable when other ppl can’t stare at me while inside my vehicle driving or other wise. My back windshield just shattered recently so I’ll need to re-tint. I had already planned on doing a white tint that I have on hand but unable to see through on either side so might’ve settled for the other tint I have on hand which is mirrored one way. But perhaps this would be worth a little bit of spending if you have the plug for the right price.. pretty awesome idea behind it. I have the inverter already. Thanks in advance for any further information.
I feel the exact same way. As far as I'm concerned, I've got nothing to hide so why should I care if the guy next to me can't see me from outside. Fuck em. I'm paying attention to the road which is what the driver should be doing.
Hate it when the back glass decides to go. No warning, not even looking at it nowt most of the time, rocks flying into evey winder BUT the back glass, then...just like that, it's gone...

Sorry to disappoint but that is all by design all by design. If you remember I said on the video comment below if interested. This is a labor of love honestly. I'd be content just getting it for myself and being done with it. 1) The effort it takes to make this available on a mass level is more than you realize, so verifying the juice is worth the squeeze is a must. I've had to bang down doors of chinese manufacturers, etc. 2) Also, I'm an early adopter so I don't mind taking personal risks on new products BUT before recommending something that might put anyone else like you at risk I need to ensure i everything is right. So I hope you can appreciate the meticulous methodology I'm going at this. The goal isn't to just make it available b/c it already exists, it's to make it affordable. If you really want it right now and can't wait head over to shop.smarttint.com/Smart-Tint-Automotive-package-1_p_4756.html I wasn't fond of the $800-$1200 price tag but liked idea so wanted to see if i could make it affordable for avg Joe.
