- Time to make the flight down to Florida and pick up our plane from the paint shop!! Here she is ya'll. First leg of the return flight from Zephyrhills, Florida to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to get gas. Maggie, the controller in Tampa, was gracious to put me up for the night and we get a shout out from our friendly Jacksonville Approach Air Traffic Controller. :)

Ha ha...our Florida ATCer's always give us love....it's great! The first controller at TPA approach was Jaime's friend Maggie who we took down to Key West in that part of our Gulf Coast Swing video series. Thanks for the support Paul!!
310 Pilot Very cool. Next time you come to middle TN you and Jaime should stop into Portland. People are great and fuel is cheap! Also not as busy as Murfreesboro lol. Not a lot of students training there. Love the videos, keep it up!!

@@paulwood2151 : I flew into 1M5 from northwest GA in fall of 2018. Loved it! Great family restaurant on the north side of town too. Cool FBO with high ceilings. Recommend. Met a cool guy with a super nice Comanche 260C, the rare model, and he has some other birds too.
That's a beautiful Bird, I had a red,white and black Skyhawk in 1971 but that silver, red and black is really gorgeous. Good to see you back!

Great audio. How the sound of twin engines is nicely present. Just the right amplitude, not too loud yet definitely present. And air traffic transmissions are clear as well as pilot to viewer chatter. Engine and prop sound is sweeeet. This vid does your plane justice.

Love the red and black paint with the silver metallic. She's just gorgeous. So pleased to be flying along with you in 1BC again Kevin. Your panel is also superb. When you're about to line up, I advance my audio throttle through to full power on my iMac, ready for the symphony of sixes to come as you blast down the runway. You're ambient recording of the engines is vital! Looking forward to Part 2, of your "first love" seeing your "second love"! :)

What I have always been impressed by is all the controllers I have ever talked to treat me like I'm their friend with his newly painted plane. You all deserve a big pat on the back for your skill, professionalism, and for just being plain decent folks.

Gorgeous! Some odd audio hiss at the end of every transmission and internal non-transmission audio clips. Maybe just your audio record settings and not radio-related? Hope so! 😀
Thanks Paul! Sorry about the audio issues. I should have mentioned that. I think I have a loose audio wire causing intermittent interference. I'm going to try to get that fixed ASAP as it's driving me bonkers. I did the best I could during the edit. :)

What year was his plane built? They were made from 1954 - 1980.
Still beautiful aircraft!
Looks like a 310Q, the second to last variation - built from '72-'75.
In an earlier video,I believe he stated she was built in 1973.

Nice. I did my twin rating on a 310 another BC, G-MEBC, sadly lost a few years later taking the life of the CFI and a commercial renewal candidate.
Still, I’ve always had a soft spot for the 310 - and it was an old aircraft when I flew it nearly 30 years ago!

I live in Tampa and Hawk painted my bird years ago and did a fantastic job. It is wild that each controller commented about the new paint, I know the feeling with that new paint its like a brand new bird and makes you smile when you think about it. She is beautiful and you can be proud of her. I hope you make it back down to the Tampa area.
