Crap! I was flying shotgun with you in the Lazy Boy and even i got a little excited on that approach! Great video Kevin. Glad to see you flying close to our neck of the woods in WV!
Great video Kevin and Jamie. I am glad you show the good times as well as some of the tough times that can happen when you are flying. When I was learning to fly back in the late 70's, I had a similar experience but I was the student pilot in the Cessna. Turned base face to face with a twin something, can't remember now, but the other pilot had reported they were 5 miles out when they were a lot closer. It was me that did a right and flew out one mile and did a 360. Ended up with 4 of us on base and final doing 360's until we got to land. But hey, I got an A+ in radio procedures and collision avoidance that day. Now I sit back and enjoy flying through the both of you. Great job and thanks again for making the videos and taking us along for the ride.
I’m also adding IFD550 and twin TI275’s to my twin Beech Travel, it’s in the AV shop this week. Love seeing the AV view on your videos, it has been educational. Thanks for all of the footage!!!!
310 Pilot I’m not just enjoying it, I love it! You guys are the sweetest and nicest flight couple that I’ve ever seen. You guys are Zen for me!! I hope you know what that means to me. Total twin Cessna flight fantasy with amazing relaxation due to the owner/pilot/and partner. Have a great weekend!!
Boiler up! Earned my wings through Purdue Flight school in 2012! That was awesome to read the terrain and the and notice the details of the airport before you landed. I literally said out loud, “That’s Purdue”!
First time commentor. Love the videos and your love of flying! It's been a dream of mine for some time to get my license. Quickly approaching retirement and watching your videos make me want to retire earlier and take to the skies with my beautiful wife. If you're ever in the Northern Kettle Moraine area look us up. We're on a lake and will be glad to give Jaime and yourself some private lessons in the Mastercraft on the Fly High!
I had to laugh when you touched down. You're right the approach was awesome. Stop trying so hard. Thanks for allowing us to land with you guys. Some just FF the landing. You two are my favorite people to fly with.
It's the daggum VGs I tell you. I was good at landing this thing before that. I think I've got it better now though. Thanks for the kind words Robert!!
Had a 5.5 hour flight in a cessna 172 this past week, hot , 90+ , it was bumpy galore lol, couldn't climb above because of clouds had to stay low , even more bumps, but it is the life of a GA pilot.
@@NFL1976 Sure, I am not instrument rated ,so I have to stay out of the clouds, trying to fly above them is ok as long as you do not have to descend thru the clouds. Cumulus clouds can build quickly in hot and humid conditions , best to play it safe and stay clear.
@@jameshyatte7230 Gotcha. Thank you for your reply. I am an aspiring Sports Pilot, but I don't think it as easy as I read about. ;) So if let's say 50 miles before your final destination was cloud free, you could fly above the clouds, and then descend into clear skies? Kind of like that?
Make sure you call Carriage Tours to get a taxi from the airport to town and give them your ETA. Otherwise you'll have to call when you land and have to wait till they send someone. Its a mile to town. Are you staying overnight, got a hotel room? They are hard to find. The Pink Pony is a great place to eat. I'm assuming this is your first time there, otherwise you know all this already. Have a great time.
I came across your channel not more than a few weeks ago. I don't usually leave feedback yet felt it was time to do so. I marathon watched the Bahamas videos since i have yet to do that myself. Good show and appreciate the time and effort you take to offer good quality. Fly safe.
Glad you found us and enjoyed some of the videos/series. :) Thank you for the feedback and hope you continue to enjoy some of them. We just flew a fun New England swing that will be coming out in a few weeks.
Jamie & Kevin. Thank You for the exciting entertainment‼️ I have only flown in a few jets long time ago. I appreciate Yall showing the landscape and landmarks as Yall fly-breathtaking- brings me Happiness to view the earth from that high‼️ LOVE YALL ♥️ GO DAWGS
I love watching your videos of flying, my father worked for Continetal airlines for sixteen years as a underground mechanic so I have flown alot and always wanted to be a pilot. If you all are ever flying into Columbus Georgia let me know my wife and I would love to meet you both. But keep posting the lovely flights, I'm loving the different places you all fly too.
You and The Voice are looking good. If you ever get back east (Hershey) and need a stop in Frederick, MD (FDK), let me know and I'll do what I can to make your trip a lot more fun.
Reminds me of trip to Flagstaff on a clear and a million day. The turbulence was was not dangerous but it did upset our personal motion sensors. N10Xxx request higher. That 2006 non turbo Cirrus began to wallow when we reached that days service ceiling and that was worse. N10XXX request lower!
Into every life a little turbulence must fall. Seems you got your share all at once, enough for several flights. Now you can plan on severe clear and smooth for a while. Glad you had a great time at the resort. Thanks for sharing
It’s not always blue sky’s and tail winds.... some times it’s the most stressful thing you’ll ever do... lots and lots of things go into flying safely that ppl never realize until they’ve done it.... but the stress and the turbulence is always outweighed by the good times.... the good flights.... and the memories made.
Love your videos. You give me so many ideas on things to do in our plane. Just now going from a Arrow to a Columbia 300 and looking forward to trips like you take.
Thanks Kevin and Jaime for Leg-2. Turbulence wears you out, as well as the extra thinking needed with sub-par ATC instructions! You would have been glad to get 1BC on the ground at Aurora, no doubt?! Great decision making, nice landings. Thanks for the view of Chicago and the lake off the wingtip. I'm starting to get to know IL! Cheers and best rest and wishes from NZL, David
Good to see you wearing shoulder harness. Re my comment on your Bahamas trip...I note that, at liftoff you also wandered left off the runway and realized that may be caused by a crosswind ?
You both looked like you were DONE after takeoff from LaFayette. It sure does feel good pulling into your driveway after that! ONE MORE thing - I concur with your comments about Chicago Approach controllers. In 45 years of flying jets - they are the ABSOLUTE BEST in the USA. One thing is for sure - they beat my home base (NY App) six ways to Sunday. Chicago always gets it done and never flinches.
Really sorry Mikal. I hated to do that! Sometimes (rarely) I have to edit differently based on other circumstances. I promise to avoid that as much as possible in the future. :)
I dont fly yet and I am not a controller. One thing I love about your chanel is, here the airtraffic and your commets about them. Knowing you are both controller and your being the pilot. it puts a very interesting (at least to me) perspective on what is happening. Can some one explain the offset to the right? Again not being a pilot I dont understand what they where asking the other aircraft to do? Kevin a question for you, on take off some time you say something like (climbing through blue line) what are you taking about there? hope to meet you two some day. You guys have a fan for life. :)
As always I really enjoyed the video. It's something being in a plane and having to do the ATC's job. A student pilot and a student ATC, y'all got home safe that's the main thing. The FFA needs to check in on Lafayette Tower.
Thanks guys, Two really fun back to back videos, made for some interesting vlogs. Hope you are both doing well, looking forward to the Avionic repair and seeing you again! Cheers, Rik Spector
You guys are getting closer to landing by me. I’m about 1 1/2 driving time NE of Lafayette. If you’re ever over the Warsaw area there’s some beautiful lakes to see and I could suggest a few great watering holes for lunch. Another great vid 👍🏼
I live in Lafayette but fly out of Logansport (north east of Lafayette). Haven’t flown into Purdue yet, I’m working on my private license at the moment. Love your videos!
I just love to see you two flying! You are both like a well oiled machine, work so well together! Although Jaime didn't look to thrilled about the weather beating you two up...hehehehe. Nice video! New sub and I'm loving your channel! 😊😋
...always good to hear your call sign..coming in on my UA-cam feed...keep up all the good work..and thanks again for all your hard work and time putting these videos together...much appreciated...
Lots of training at Lafayette with students in the pattern. I flew a jet in there on several occasions and it was always like that. Purdue has a large flight school. The single on base leg was probably a student. Most experienced pilots would have volunteered a go-around and let you guys land. Much easier on his part to go-around versus you having to do a 360 at low altitude. Of course, the controller could have/should have seen that situation was not going to work. Stinson guy.
I’ve binged on a bunch of these last night and today. You win. Subscribed.
Jamie my dear I hope you get some rest, I have never seen you look so tired after coming off of a vacation take care be safe.

Thanks for the feedback Dawn and we're glad you're enjoying the channel. Next Friday is a trip to Mackinac Island. :)

Do you ever get to Lake Lanier- if so, give a shout‼️
Ouch. It's rough when you can't climb to the cool/smooth air!! Tis the life of a GA pilot sometimes. :)
Can you explain why you had to stay low? Thanks.

Great situational awareness Kev, another great video.....
Thanks. Always inspiring. Been grounded in so. Cal with 100+ degree days. Too hot
Wow, the return trip was like being in a Far Side cartoon. Never a dull moment. Enjoyed the ride though, looking forward to the next adventure.

Thanks for another great flying ride along guys !!!!!!!!
Always enjoy "flying" along with you guys. Fun and informational
Enjoy the landings, been to smith mountains a lot.
I love that Jamie keeps an eagle eye out along with you. Nothing better to have along on a flight than a concerned observer.
Thanks for the video. I like the way you handled the confusion. Jaime was cool about it too. Stay safe.
“IFR 360”.....hilarious! Also, loved Jaime’s coy little smile on your landing at ARR! Priceless!
Ha ha...she knows when I have good ones and ones a little less than that. :)
