What A Gem! I was 12 years old in 1980. I can still remember watching the ball drop (New Year's Eve) on TV as 1979 faded into the past. Five years later I made my first solo. All these years later my passion for aviation has never faded.

I was about 13 at Redding Sky Ranch in about 1970 when I was invited into a brand new 340 with the AC on. I was blown away. It was over 100 that day it was cool inside in more ways than one.

And flying to visit a flight museum is icing on top of the cake! That's neat parking next to the ERJ, and I even saw a Canadian-registered Twin Otter as you were taxiing out of Altenrhein.

Five guys in a Ram VI 340 with air conditioning and a Robertson STOL kit, it must have been at max gross weight. That STOL kit sure gets you stopped a lot faster than my 340.
