Love the 310 vids...got my multi in a 80 310R across the harbor at TOA and later had a half partnership in a T310R....they had a Piper E model Aztec..a new Cessna C303 Crusader and the 310 on the line as rentals/trainers....my instructor said the choice was mine but if i could fly the 310 proficiently the others would be a breeze....ended up eventually trying the piper and 303 later..nice planes but the 310 has a place in my heart..fast roomy and load carriers ...thanks Rich
Hey Rich 🙋🏻♂️ Saturday I took my youngest son flying out of F70 and we landed at KHMT for breakfast 😃 It was his first time in a small airplanes. I let him take the controls after I got the 172 trimmed up. We were going to Catalina after, but it was so busy at the time and we couldn’t pick up FF and I decided that it would get even busier once we got towards Long Beach, so we decided not to go 🤷🏻♂️. He had a great time!
You are right. My dad owned a Cessna 320 Skynight N48325 out at Chino. It had TSIO 420 Engines. Watching you videos reminds me of being young again flying with my Dad.
Thanks Rich for posting these videos. UPS Airlines Tech Services Boeing 757 and 767 here. Because of my Dad and gentleman like you I went into the Air Force and I have been in aviation for 30 years.
Thank you Rich for killing the intro!!! I appreciate you’re valuing our time, even it was just 10 seconds. There was no point to the intro, everyone knows one of the best pilot in the US, flying everything that has wings, sometimes even without them. And everyone knows ocraviation, my next stop for shopping Cessna 180
what a great plane and an excellent pilot, you can learn so much from guys like this and try to incorporate their discipline and professionalism into your flying if you can still afford to fly lol
I just subscribed to your channel. Awesome content and variety of airplanes that you fly! I received my multi-engine rating in the 310R back in 2009. I love the sound of the engines on that thing. The tip tanks make for some interesting PIO on final if you use too much ailerons to make corrections instead of the rudder. But from head on that airplane looks incredibly sleek, even with the tip tanks.
Nice bird! I am a bit of a 310 afficionado, having owned four of them, starting with a then new 75 T310R, now with. a 59 310C (25 years with this one). The plane in the video is a turbo, muvh faster at higher altitude s on the same fuel burn (about 200 knots in the low to mid teens IIRC. My 260 HP C model typically cruises at 180-185 knots at +/- 10'000' nurning 20-22 gph. Solid airplanrs, much larger cabins than Barons (I'v fusrlagee also owned a Baron and several Bonanzas - same fuselage - and just as fast, or a little faster than, a Baron with the same horsepower engines (turbo 310s are much faster at altitude). 310s do require a bit more attention from the pilot than do Barons. That tail number seems very familiar. I am pretty sure I flew it a few times when it was nrw at Sawyer Aviation in PHX after selling my 75 and missing it a lot. All different now, avionics, paint and interior. IIRC it started lifr in brown trim paint and brown interior with Vessna/ARC avionics.
Rich, your' pattern was so wide you can log it as x-country. Kidding of course. That's an expensive cup of coffee. Good luck Matteo - get your private!
Oh no, Matteo is leaving? I hope that is a good thing, and he finds success and happiness where ever life takes him! I have some good friends that have a 310, and "R" I think, and they just love it! They have been in every state and the Bahamas with it. The only nick was the L/TO distance at small airports, and the VG's helped with that. They liked the twin for the speed, payload and redundancy of the second engine. The 310 is built very well, its comfortable and they never had an issue with it. It's a great airplane for X country trips, and they dragged a lot of antiques home in it. LOL Thanks Rich!! 8) --gary
310 is a much more powerful airplane, larger cabin, more carrying capability. Also, if you intend to move up to ME aircraft, good to build ME experience. 310 will be faster, but not significant.
Yeah - GA has been in decline for a long time which is sad to see. Tough business, and tough to keep costs down - we need more people to fly, but needs to cost less for them to fly so which one comes first?
Again, another airplane with all this money in the panel and can't be bothered to have an engine monitor from this century. Maybe protect the largest single cost item on that plane x2...
It would be interesting to see if modern engine monitors contribute to the life/health of an engine. I flew a lot without them and with them, and nothing glaringly obvious to me that they do, but I could be wrong - just my observation.
Great communication with others in the pattern. Pilots need to up their comms game; strive to be like Rich!
Yeah I like the communication skills between everybody there, everybody worked at it, everybody did well
Thanks.
Hemet Ryan. That is right around the corner from my house. Wow.
Good communication by all…👍
Every day I saturate myself with Rich’s videos up here in Ukiah. Absolutely refreshing, knowledgeable and entertaining. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!

Thats so cool, I had no idea the little ladder came up with the gear. I didnt even notice it at first.
My dream bird, always wanted a 310 even as a kid. What a workhorse
As a kid Sky King was on TV, loved that 310B. This 310R very nice, thanks for the ride-alone Rich.
What I like about you is you have a lot of knowledge about every plane you fly and know the history of almost every aircraft
Thank you!

Great to hear everyone on the same page in the pattern. Very good video and Demo of the 310. Thanks.
Thank you!
Another Great Flight, Man! Yeah, I've Been Trying "Not" To Binge Watch Your Videos So I Don't Run Out. I've Already Watched Several, Twice. Thank You.

You’ve absolutely got to take the 3:10 To Yuma before you sell it! Just so you can say you did! 😀
Agree!
Such a great video. Loved the opening sequence of the start up. But another STEC 55! 😄😄
They made a Cessna 303 for a couple years that had a name as well it was called the crusader, love your videos
Love all your videos - I currently own a Chancellor and previously the last Skyknight.
Thank you!
Beutiful 310R...Great flight into busy Hemet...thx
Glad to see you back doing these videos, was a little skeptical about the others that did the last video.
Thanks.

Thanks for the great info on 310 - appreciate the insight/experience. The one in the video is not a turbo - 310R. Thanks for watching.

Great airmanship, nice plane
Thank you!
Great looking 310 !
Traffic wise, L66 was like that back in the day....
I love airplane noise!
Sky King!

Thank for the message. We will miss Matteo and he’s moving in to bigger and better opportunities!
This is fine example of the 310.
Liked,. Balloon!!
LOL did you fire Matteo for that "extended shot" of the rudders last week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha. We will miss him!
Long time viewers will recognize this plane from earlier this year where you had commented that it was sold..... can you share how it's back again?
@Ophidian14 we sold it and then buyer had second thoughts about it buying it so we took it back.
Fine looking plane!
What brand and model are your sunglasses? Got to get those when my bend their last bend.
I wonder what people like to fly more. This or the B55 Baron
I'd prefer to buy everything new. New guns. New cars. New airplanes. New history that I call my own
Hello sir. Do you happen to have Flight Simulator set up too? Great video by the way. Subscribed
I do not have flight simulator set up!
Did the Bonanza go just as fast as? Couple of weeks ago you had a bonanza with the io550, so similar speed, why get a 310?
310 is a much more powerful airplane, larger cabin, more carrying capability. Also, if you intend to move up to ME aircraft, good to build ME experience. 310 will be faster, but not significant.
@@FlyingwithRich I think the older barons have got 270 hp, this 310 has 285hp, which is better?
Smaller cabin the Baron - I love Barons, but if you prefer a larger cockpit, 310 would be a better choice.
For those like me who don't fly, the 310R is my favorite to fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
I remember when that was the Parks College multi trainer….
Always great videos Rich. Did you guys sell the 210 you did recent video on?
Thanks. Yes. We have a contract on it.
There was a Q model.
IMO the sexiest non mil. twin.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
👍
Gimbaled cameras don't work in airplanes. Der. Nice plane though. I'm thinking I might pick one up. Seems like the most ideal light twin.
That is simply not true. Gimbals are your best friend if you want range of motion within an aircraft...
"Wind is onetasdfsfdhujgclear to take off" 🤣
Has 4941A been sold yet? If not, what is the asking price?
Available asking $260K.
Even though hey didn’t have a factory moniker I think people call them sky kings
Dear Santa...
You start avionics before starting the engines?
No - I think he got the edit out of order if it showed that.
Did you lose Matteo?
Matteo is moving on - we will miss him!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I thought your pattern etiquette was exemplary.
10 seconds in and I already need gloves to touch those nasty switches
same here...interior needs a detailing
Trade my 172....
Awesome airplane… too bad general aviation is dying on the vine… expenses skyrocketing… absolute shame…

Wonderful !!!!👍🏼 I have it in FS2020 simulator 🙌🏼🙌🏼🦾🦾🧿🧿✈✈👨🏼✈👨🏼✈🙋♂🙋♂
I bought the 414 instead , i believe both similar.
@@zombieapocalipse2020 Fantastic 🦾
I have the 310r in MSFS and 414. I like the 310 better
@@FlightSimVRDad I am too
@@flacodebuenosaires I also like the black square Baron P for a twin and the A2A Comanche for a single.
