It's amazing that people that drive in swamps don't have winches. There's no way I'd drive in that without one.
What's up with the owner not trusting his number strength? I can understand not pulling from the top but aren't there attachment points lower and more online with the frame?
Nope. Most pickup trucks, especially newer ones, don't come with recovery points standard. They don't have locking hubs, either. They're all built to tow.
@@JasonOlney-uu1ddhis year model F250 has all that, I have a 15 F250. His a 11-16. It has locking hubs and recovery points
Totally agree 😂😂😂😂
25K views but only 717 likes when I saw it????? Come on! Excellent work isn’t always showy or exciting. More often it’s slow, cautious, and just gets it done with minimal drama, danger, and potential damage to anything. Well done. Equipment choice varies greatly between operators and situations. Keep it up.
People dont appreciate just the man being skilled but not making a huge show like the diesel brothers guys. Its sad
Using the winch over flooring it separates a pro from a beginner.. you did everything the correct way brother.
Amen
There's a time and place for kinetic recoveries, but that's often people's first attempt.
The white F-250 is pretty when cruising the Walmart parking lots but a complete dead weight when it's mudding....
Not to mention the low tread on the tires.
Street truck, good for work not playing.
Just the wrong tires. Some tractor tires would have allowed this truck to make it
A daily driver with illegal tractor tires?
@rolltide9547 I'm just stating what tires stand a better chance. The discussion isn't about whether it's a daily or not. If you take your daily through this you're a clown anyways, this type of stuff is for a dedicated mud truck or hunting truck. Or like my man's jeep is his dedicated recovery vehicle, he can daily it sure but it's more so his dedicated rig for recovery
I perform quite a bit of recoveries and don’t think you used bad judgement at all. You did the safest thing possible under the circumstances. No one was hurt, and no damage to the vehicles means it was a job well done.
no hater here.i think you do a good job safely.
That day the true hero was that winch. God dang that thing kept pulling and pulling add more weight, deeper mud and still kept on pulling. That was money well spent.
Pretty much everyone out here knows someone with a jacked up Ford, but their actual capability off road is questionable.
With all the accessories on the White Ford, try installing a winch on the front......then go mudding all you want. Still too much weight to be nimble...
It’s got to be good for business but why they think these 3/4 ton lead sleds can go off-roading is beyond me.
Axel donors
The wheelbases on these trucks is ridiculous too, not good on some trails
I think my first few times off roading I quickly realized weight is not good in the mud. I rock a JKU with enough body damage to genuinely scare most Ford drivers. I had a '96 F150 I put 35's and lockers on back in the day and it did ok, but it was still too wide.
I am amazed at the jeep size and what you can do with it. More brain power, veyr smart.
All about leverage & winch ropes
Dude in the truck ain’t doing nothing but making worse by flooring it!
Those are some good friends right there, everyone gets stuck trying to rescue the first guy. 👍
Sounds like he needs friends a winch and knows how to use it.
Most times the vehicle is irrelevant, it's the winch and knowing about pulleys and leverage. Nice work.
after watching you pull on the gray and the 4 wheeler , you might want to school your towees about digging themselves into a hole while you`re trying to tow them out ... just put it in reverse , or forward , don`t touch the gas unless i say ...
Whatever jack ass lmao.
Really appreciate how you explain everything you are doing. A lot of great information for us who don’t have winch experience.
Honestly I won't be calling the ghostbusters I'll be calling this dude! Man knows his stuff
The white F-250 is a dead weight. The front and rear "RanchHand" bumpers weigh closer to 550 lbs for the both of them. It's diesel so its weight with bumpers is about 8,000 lbs. Good Luck.
I wonder why people with these 8 or 9 thousand pound truck try any off roading in mud they are way to heavy.
@@billymack4606 If you owned a big lifted truck and your buddy asked if you could help get him unstuck, what would you say? My truck can't do that?
@@JohnFL people should know better, there are some places you just shouldn't go.
@@truckdriver3126 But, testosterone
@@JohnFLcorrect. You say that, or end up like he did. That ford is a mall crawler, and nothing more.
Hi Matt, I really luv your way of doing offroad recoveries! There is just that something extra in your recovering methodology - keep going. Joseph (Cape Town, South Africa).
Casey? Actually this is another Matt. I know, it can get confusing
Anyone who says this guy did it wrong needs to watch more of his videos. He knows his stuff.
All the modifications he did to that Super Duty and he didn't put wench on it. Someone help with that.
Diesels are tough to mud. Very heavy and difficult to get wheel speed.
It's funny people take these 9000 lb diesels and put some tires and lift on it and think they have a mud truck but they get stuck so easy.
11:10, you left out the best part bc of the internet haters, and you have to do everything by the book BS Everyone who's ever been out there and dealt with weather.
Like me and you know, sometimes you gotta give it a shot.
The Sun's going down, gotta go FULL RABBIT.
It seems like these young people think a cool giant brush guard on the front will make the truck go anywhere, a cheap Harbor Freight winch and some M/T tyres will do ya much better than a giant brush guard.
Exactly
It's for animal protection and something to mount a winch to. If you live in the country it's alot cheaper to have one then not when you hit something and ruin your truck and insurance sky rockets.
I dont go off roading but love your videos, keep up the good work! It's great entertainment!!
🤣 folks with egos bigger than their one brain cell with no winch...Ok Jimbob...let's go find us a swamp we can get stuck in...Awesome recovery as always 😎
If you think you’re going off-roading with rims any larger than 17-18 inches and also still running highway pressures, you’ll need a recovery quicker than you think. You need to air down. And to air down you need side wall height. That ford and that Chevy driver had no business trying to be out there like that. I really don’t like sounding negative. But I see this kind of stuff all the time. Big money. Little know how.
A lot of these guys getting stuck have mud tires but they are 3 and 4 years old. The tread isn't the same. You wanna do this stuff get some good new tires and not a Chevy! lol😂
Good call I believe you should do it exactly how you did perfect recovery
Sure sounds like the Chevy burnt up his transmission by not putting it in 4-low to start with. Never underestimate an electrical issue with newer vehicles but not knowing what 4low is for is always a rookie mistake. Great job fishing them out.
The chevy driver sure wasn't helping matters spinning his tires, some people don't understand that sometimes they think their helping etc...
I've had people ask me to pull them out using my transmission, I said no! That's why I have a winch. I wonder if that truck took in a little water in the air intake blowing out all that white smoke?
I saw that jeep last summer on the beach. Didnt know it was yall! 🤙🏽
Nice technical recovery. Loved the lanyards on the chock blocks, that’s great for when stopping isn’t a great option..
All these vehicles with the wrong tires in the wrong places
Bet the guy in the new chevy didnt mash and hold his traction control/advance track till it cut off
check out Matts Off Road Recovery , I like watching recoveries ..... !
Am I the only one always amazed how capable that jeep is!
The less ur tires spin the more traction u have used to b common sense
Gotta get rid of the mud somehow! And the slower you spin , the more caked tires get, fuckn spin em! Get swampers and spin ! , just don't go wheeln in a diesel, use some common sense
Kinda depends on the situation. Helps to clean out the tread voids by hitting the gas when you're still moving, but once you're stuck it just digs a hole.
The Chev got stuck and the Ford got stuck
But the Chev unstuck when the Dodge showed up
But the Dodge got stuck in the tractor rut
Which eventually pulled out the Ford
And the Dodge - Corb Lund
Very technically and appropriately achieved as aways. 😊.maybe many other might learn more for their future adventures.
Why Oh Why Oh Why do they do this? Obvious what was going to happen. Many thanks from UK.
That 6.7 powerstroke sounds awesome when it starts up with a v8 turbo Diesel engine turbo whistle woo 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
how much do these recoveries usually cost
Depends on the individuals doing the recovery. Normally if someone's already out there, they just do it for the use of their equipment since it never really gets used anyway.
If someone is coming out to you, again it depends on the individuals. In jersey I drove about an a hour to help someone out and told them it's worth nothing. But I was the only one coming out at 4am and no one else's truck was able to the job so the person cash app'd me like 20 as a common courtesy. All depends on the person.
How abount a warning sign... 40" tires got STUCK HERE! ENTER A OWN RISK! 😂
Are you doing the Wrecker Games out at Sand Hollow UT?
No
Impressive work sir,, love the content,, happy holidays to you and yours
How About Some FRESH TIRES WITH SOME TREAD!! And Some Vehicles With Some Actual Power!!! Them Some Good Mudholes Tho Goddawggg!
Well done recovery. Slow, smooth, safe. That Chevy sounds down a couple holes though. I’d bet his warranty isn’t doing so well.
Man that was some nasty mud you did a hell of a job.
Not trying to be a hater. And definitely not on Florida Off Road Recovery. But looked like bunch of boys with daddy's money and squatted trucks. Two 25 to 40 thousand dollar trucks to drag a ruined 8 thousand at best 4 wheeler. With patience and a come along, would have gone a long way. Glad you made the money. Hope they learned a lesson in patience. But doubt it.
Lifted trucks. There's a difference.
@@JohnFL lifted in the front only. Doesn't mean lifted. That Chevy was squatted. Just saying
Experience > Money
@@jake-mv5oi I agree. That's why I said I hope the customers learned from this. And also glad Florida Off Road Recovery made the money. Smart man with a ton of patience......
@@samuelcheatham4586No it’s not
Ford is my shit, but these double Cab trucks have weight, and crazy long wheelbases, which translates to zero mudding capability. For the trail and light mudding I bought a 3rd gen Tacoma TRD off road that’s lifted with 35’s Which still would’ve probably got stuck here. This trail looks like it would require a very high lifted off-road rig with SuperSwampers and narrow wheelbase …
LOL@ The massive 1000 lb bumper that "isn't attached very well".
Ugg…he needs friends with other 4 wheelers…..JK😂😂😂been there..sometimes the fun is in the fail🤷♂️
Happy New Year to All and Cheers 🍻 from Alaska AK49👊🇺🇸👊
Happy New Year!
florida man i need come out there mudding bec wow you guys got the mud that jeep is a beast holy shit thought about getting into something like this in rural part colorado that i am in but its gathering and having the money for the right equipment to do the jobs.
Good video doing it right ,note the peanut gallery will always think they know bettered. DO your thing ,NO PEANUTS --LOL
I think that the 2024 saying should be "Wheels before winches" . If I lived down there that would have been the 1st thing that I added to my vehicle.
To quote Corb Lund
We'd pull one truck out and get another stuck in
And motors would roar and tires would spin
We'd sink right down, down to the diff, and we'd all take turns and do it again
Till no one could move, we'd call one more friend,
Come on out here, we need you... bring your truck
The Chev got stuck and the Ford got stuck
Got the Chev unstuck when the Dodge showed up
But the Dodge got stuck in the tractor rut
Which eventually pulled out the Ford
And the Dodge
This guy withe Ford on 40's if just dumb. Let's think about this, he has probably 80k in the truck, but didn't bother to get a real bumper or put a winch on it. So what he couldn't afford the last $2500.
I watched a vid recently about a US recovery off road where the towbar snapped and a fatality occurred , I'm inclined to think these are similar circumstances in which it happend.
The towbar/ bolts werent designed for the stress involved ?
Great video - I love your approach to what can be dangerous work. Just one question. I was always told to never “Tow” or “snatch” with my winch line. I noticed you do this every now and then - does this damage your winch lines or are the new dynema winch lines that much better than the old stuff?
Merchandising Merchandising.... Spaceballs the movie
I thought about you today driving down 471 in the Green Swamp. Saw waist deep mud and trucks needing a step ladder to climb into.
Good ole swamp buggy territory
Electronics on an off road vehicle is stupid… GM FORD DODGE jeep
Big part of off roading is rigging, better get them skills it’s expensive calling a recovery if you could even find someone that specializes in off-road recovery.
Both of the stuck trucks had massive front bumpers that could have accomodated a winch. Why pay for a big bumper and not pay to install a winch on it?
I just found your channel today and was wondering if you have a video about how your Jeep is modified for these recovery’s.
Now see if this was a Duramax or Cummings it wouldn't of been stuck right their I'd hammered on through their but this ole weak as pond water power stroke got stuck
they coulda just pulled that quad out with a $40 come along and never got any trucks stuck
Probably would help if the white pos actually had good tires and didn't weigh 10k lbs
Hey man those little feet/anchor points you used. Are those a home made thing? Those the cats ass. Im seeing alot of similiar terrain i got into as a kid and had to yank peoplle out of here in NW Ohio we live on whats called the black swamp there oumps that run to keep toledo above water that oump right into lake erie
It blows my mind people go flooring it into muddy clay, in $100k trucks and can't spend a couple grand on a good winch. Would've saved you twice as much as an offroad recovery. More money than sense! Florida never seizes to amaze!
So an off road vehicle got stranded basically under water, so you drive your bone stock chevy in there ?
That's why you never buy a used pickup Colorado the wore out pieces of junk
He just backs throufh everuthing thehre stuck in lol when you can do that, thats doing something
Why do people take any vehicle into that crap? I wouldnt venture to take anything less than a Sherp into that mess.
All these big jacked up diesels make me laugh they look good but way to big and heavy to be off road.
Yes. After watching you do the impossible, let me tell you how to do your job😂
The blind leading the blind. In no scenario would I take that f350 in that .
Sure is sad what's that little old Jeep rescue everybody😢 separates the men from the boys😂
Are your recoverys free ? Or not ? Are you just local or state wide ? I am interested, your work is awesome
Why do dudes keep driving into the swamp with half bald ass tires, grip is good!
Never try and tell someone whose been doing a job correctly, for years, how to do there job better for your armchair.
People call the guys with hd trucks but for mud they just sink
So is the quad swamped? Winch dead? And the pour chevy needs the shop
You can tell when you're in too deep. You have to wear chest waders to get unstuck.
Like a bunch of kids playing in the mud at daddy and mama's expense
that's a stupid looking bumper
ive noticed in every video, none of these dudes have the right tires for the terrain lmao. all ive seen have all terrain and not actual mud tires
👏👏👏👏💪💪💪💪
Problem is he bought a chevy😂😂😂
Nice work!👍
I bet dude takes that Chevy back to the Chevy house and trade it in for a Jeep😂😂
I am a Ocala boy trust me if u are seeing this these lil boys should stay home with thier mommy
the bigger they are the deeper they sink... no gators ... this time?
I can smell the water through my TV
Why go back in the mud with poor tires.
Would of had super swampers on that ford look like non mud tires to me
Now that’s Florida
CORB LUND wrote a great tune about this sitcheation… “TRUCK got STUCK”
The Chev got stuck and the Ford got stuck
But the Chev unstuck when the Dodge showed up
But the Dodge got stuck in the tractor rut
Which eventually pulled out the Ford
With some difficulty
