@@matt.mckinzie hey brother iv got a big question. Iv got a 89 Toyota pickup. It’s a full blown off-road truck. It’s fully built. With a 5.3 liter LS. Straight axel swapped with full size Chevy running gear. 5:13 gears with lockers front and rear. Dual low Tcase and 39.5 inch TSL swampers. I’m running a 12k WARN winch. Iv snapped the rope and needing a replacement. What’s the best rope that will hold up and not cost a arm and a leg. I mainly use it to just pull myself when needed. I would really appreciate your recommendation.

To all of you who do that in a truck that's not purpose built/modified for muddin .......prove us wrong!! Before you try though, just watch n see how easy these trucks winched outta the mud when not spinnin the tires.

Iv broke the rope. What’s the best brand rope you recommend that don’t cost a arm and a leg. I mainly use the winch to just pull myself when needed. @Florida Off-road Recovery

Agreed, but as someone whose operated 30 ton trucks it's damn near impossible to do it one your own with hand tools. You need some serious power to pull out a dump truck sitting on the axle.

That was cringe worthy seeing that bow shackle loaded sideways @ 1:34... Curious why you do most of your pulling with the rear winch? Is it because it's a more robust winch mount? maybe if anything breaks, it isn't snapping towards radiators, windshields etc... I would think you'd have less amperage available running all the way to the rear vs a short power feed to the front? Have you upgraded your alternator or dual batteries? maybe you have dual batteries in the rear?

I’m not 100% sure it was a 6.0. The starter sounded like a 7.3L. I k own it has the 2005+ grille and lights, but people put those on older trucks. Either way, engine sounded good.

My friends in MA, living in Florida for 6 months, you dont need 4x4 down here... 😂. Looks more muddy, less rocky than our trails.. but yes you do need it.
