At that court hearing is when the defendant usually puts in a plea of guilty of or not guilty, or no contest! Unless the defendants attorney is not there for the arraignment it could be continued! This normally happens about a year before your trial! And before depositions, not all states do depositions, however the ones that do! She entered a plea of "not guilty!" Long before this day!

Guilty people always do. To zone out of what’s going on! Jodie Arias done the exact same!
Try to make themselves look “busy” “less guilty” when really it does the opposite.
If that was me (innocent) I would be sat paying attention to each word to think how I could prove my innocence or any gaps to let my lawyer know!
But nope not these crazy, guilty women. They sit head down, trying not to listen to how evil they are!
I MUST NOT MURDER ..I MUST NOT MURDER
She reminds me of that crazy ass Tiffany Moss.
Dick pics for her cell walls
All that for $34K??? Wow life in prison for $34K
I just don’t get it.......
What do you think her notes say....guilty scribbled 1000 times😜
W O W. That’s an opening statement. That HELLA EVIDENCE
When did “fair to say” become all the rage amongst defense attorneys? It gets old pretty quickly.
It is annoying. But still better than defense lawyer Mull's "isn't it true" phrase! (Rosenbaum trial)
Yes. Mull was annoying.
@@K9_Queen19 I don't know about "fair to say" but I think its a trick way to get a yes answer. I KNOW that using the contraction 'NT when you ask a question is DEFINITELY a way to get a yes answer, even if the following sentence will be the person explaining why the answer isn't yes. For example: "The evidence against Ashley is quite compelling but she could still be innocent, COULDN'T she?" In the flow of conversation, people will say "yes" and they will either pause at a loss for words or will then explain why its not a yes. It just works!
wow they put you in jail if you don't pay your child support? That's harsh. I would think you would have a right to a court date about that at least before throwing in jail.
You must be overflowing with deadbeat dads
@@infinitejest441 No they still go after the dad by finding out where they work. After, they take the money from their pay check. They don't over crowd the jail system for something like that. That is why America is overflowing with crowded jails. They lock you up for almost anything there.
If you get far enough behind you can.I think Florida has a loophole where they can't take your money from your check for child support, thats why dead beat dads go to Florida.
Another cold hearted killer w/ zero emotion, just like Hodi,( Jodi Arias)
I found it funny how she's looking down the whole time as if she's really entrenched into her writing, it's just the opening statement lol 🙄
😆
She's writing a book about a woman who stole from her best friend and then killed her.
@@Catsmeow90 and then went to prison for the rest of her life 👏👍💯
@@AngelKissedBy2 😆👍
I love to see when they dress so professional. Good for her, it shows she shows respect for the court.
That's exactly what I thought.
I can't stand hearing this educated attorney keep saying "her and Taylor" when she should be saying "she and Taylor." Come on. Basic English people!
Exactly....OMG...... She and Taylor....
pridenprejudice2004 Or, she could say, “while she was at the farm with Taylor, “....Something like that. I am really big on grammar. When people refuse to use Add verbs, (my iPad doesn’t even know what an adverb is), I always tell them that my mission in life is to bring back the (effort! And for ad for)...That’s my iPad trying to spell the word ‘adverb’. I hope you understand what I said.
Jude Christenson but she did add some verbs into her speech such as “supply” and “involve”
I cant stand crazy grammer correctors. Someone was killed here
Your are an idiot
I can't stand grammar nazi's
This is why I just stay to myself, family, close friends & Jesus. Pure evil out there. With these type of friends....🤔
1000% saaaammmmmeeeeeee!!!!
The opening statement is really all you need lmao
Being a lawyer looks extremely stressful. Sure would be great if people would behave themselves. 🙄 Iam so fed up with criminals.
"Oooooh ooooh, take the money and run..."
What is she writing instead of listening
It was at this point....that Ashley knew she effed up!
Why would a Detective want to go to the Other Family McAurther Property .. Tha's like warning the Suspect that you suspect them of Murder..
What we are watching is karma in action
She is drawing a picture of her cell
Excellent opening statement
what a great opening statement! I was ready to convict without a trial! just kidding! sort of...remind me not to commit any crimes in her jurisdiction!
Lot of expense, time and energy to get only a 25 year sentence. This is the injustice.
Wow. What a horrible horrible friend. So tragic.
She’s pleading not guilty? Are you KIDDING me!? Can’t wait to hear the defense.
Don't fully get your question🤔🤔 it's opening arguments of this trial and you're asking if she's pleading not guilty?? A defendant typically enters a plea of "not guilty" 30 days after their arrest and first court appearance at the defendants Arraignment!
A perfect example of an Open-and-shut case.
This sounds interesting.....
Has anybody NOTICED the judge is not chewing gum anymore?
