I love the fact that the prosecution team is Black, nobody is gonna scream racial bias against the evil SOB who brutally murdered an innocent girl. That was someone's beloved daughter, not an object of his sadistic and evil desires. May her soul RIP. 🙏🏾❤

Forsure if it were a white man who killed a black woman they'd automatically put him on death row no questions asked its a sick sad world we live in.. this monster didn't even get life without the possibility of parole with all of the evidence against him even the judge called it a mountain of evidence supporting the fact he killed this beautiful angel and he will almost certainly be back with his family before he passes she never got to see her family again.. the racist biased is against US not black people im sorry and obviously i know there is racism in every race i love all people good people of any color! But we have let them vilify us and now look what is happening in this world cops are being persecuted for doing the job they were hired to do. I pray for our world

@@bethmiddleton9711 He will not get parole though. He definitely deserved the death penalty! They did not give him death penalty because they could not prove premeditation, it was more an opportunist murder because he didn't know her beforehand. I hope her family finds comfort in knowing that he will spend the rest of his life in jail and he's probably someone's "girlfriend" in jail.

The uber bears some responsibility and so did the poor victim. Uber cars should be more uniformed like yellow taxi medallions. The picture of the driver and his family should be sent to the rider beforehand and there must be some kind of 2 step verification process before getting into the car. It shouldn't have been that easy. The victim in this case I don't know if she was a little tipsy or not but when it's dark outside, and a black car with black windshield rolls up at you, and the driver looks like that, an alarm should've been ringing in your head.

If anything, the judge made it very clear through his little diatribe, that he did not want to have to punish his fellow black man, and that it pained him greatly to do so, but he was obligated to do so because of the crime committed. That bothered me. 1) It should be very easy to sentence that monster to life in prison. He deserves no sympathy, and the judge spent half the sentencing lamenting the fact that he had to sentence him. I wonder how that made the victims family feel. And 2) I wonder how people would react if a white judge were to say how painful it was for him to sentence a fellow white man from his town, who had been convicted of murder.

It will be the perfect justice system and will weigh the scales of justice in an even handed way for all. Revelation 21:3,4. 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Take some self defense classes, you'd be surprised how relatively easy it is to fight an attacker when you know how to effectively defend yourself, and where to inflict pain of your own on the creep. ...and you'll learn some offensive moves as well. And anybody can learn, kids, elderly people, et al.
I think it wouldn't be a bad thing to teach kids the basics in school, tbh.
I also think there should be parenting classes in high school, I believe it would not only give people valuable skills that seem to be lacking in a lot of "parents" these days, but it would also cut down on kids having babies, but I digress...

A defendant would need to do more than SAY they are innocent. Sometimes they actually present evidence supporting their innocence but they are convicted anyway: Jonathan Fleming was convicted of a murder that took place in New York City. Fleming said he was actually at Disney World in Orlando and the defence showed video at Disney World. Fleming was convicted anyway even though the prosecution could not produce a plane or train ticket proving that Fleming left Orlando, arrived in New York City to commit the murder then arrive back in Orlando. Unfortunately, Fleming could not produce a phone receipt that proved that he was in Disney World 4 hours before the murder took place in New York City. After Fleming served almost 25 years in prison, a Prosecution Integrity Unit found the phone receipt in the prosecution's evidence. Apparently, when Fleming was arrested, the police removed the receipt from his pocket and gave it to the prosecution--who was happy to send an innocent person to prison. One point for the prosecution: the prosecution could have destroyed that phone receipt...and Jonathan Fleming--an innocent man--would still be in prison today.

@J R The Central Park Jogger case is even worse: 5 young men were convicted of an awful gang rape when the prosecution knew that the DNA retrieved from the victim did not match any of the defendants. Now all 5 defendants who were teenagers when convicted confessed to the crime. The true perpetrator had to confess to authorities several times after he met one of the wrongfully convicted defendants in prison and there was a DNA match. What really made this case grievous is that the true perpetrator raped more women and killed two women after assaulting the jogger in Central Park.

    GREAT Prosecutor!!!
And I could listen to him all day. Evidence looks overwhelming against the defendant. How diabolical!

I remember getting in a complete strangers car with my cousin because we got stranded in France. It was a woman & it was two of us but we had no idea where she was driving us or if she had a weapon. We just hoped it was to the station and luckily she did but it wasn’t until I told my mum did I realise it was a huge risk. Thank God for protection.
I was 21 & quite street smart but you couldn’t tell from this story.
